Summary: A tragedy unravels the Weasley Family and the Wizarding World forever, but with the use of a time turner can one Weasley save them all?
Preface
It had been over twenty years since the Second Wizarding War and things seemed at peace. There were occasional rumblings of Death Eaters continuing to try and rebuild Voldemort's following but all and all the Wizarding World was in a glorious state and the same could be said in the Granger-Weasley household. Hermione had recently become the Minister of Magic and Ron had retired from the Auror Department and was now running the joke shop with his older brother George, while their children, Rose, Hugo, and Alexis were busy in their seventh, fifth, and fourth years at Hogwarts, which kept the household rather busy.
"Mum, I don't want to wear Rose's old dress! Why can't I have my own for once? It's not like we can't afford it!" Alexis, who preferred to go by Lex, screamed from her bedroom. The Yule Ball was around the corner and all three Weasley children had come home from Hogwarts for the weekend to get their attire ready. Rose had gotten a beautiful new blue dress, Hugo decided to wear the same robes as the previous year, and Lex was supposed to wear one of Rose's older dresses but she was having no part of it.
"She's got a point, Hermione. We can afford to get her a dress." Ron said from his spot at the kitchen table.
Hermione, who was cooking dinner, rolled her eyes. "That's not the point, Ron. She will have plenty of balls to go to, she doesn't need a dress for her first one. Also, I don't want these children spoiled."
"Come on, Hermione. I know how bad it feels to have handed down clothes. Just take her shopping for a dress." Ron said.
Hermione sighed and after a moment realized Ron was probably right. Being the baby, Lex rarely got new things. She wiped her hands and moved to the bottom of the stairs. "Alright, Lex, we can go shopping but hurry down!"
Within seconds a brown haired, blue eyes girl ran into the kitchen. She was such a mix of Ron and Hermione, with Ron's eyes but her mothers hair, unlike Rose and Hugo who both followed after their fathers features when it came to hair and eyes.
"Thank you, Mum!" Lex hugged Hermione tightly.
"What's all the fuss about?" Rose Weasley's voices reached the kitchen before the tall redhead did.
"I'm getting a new dress! So you want to come shopping?" Lex eagerly asked her older sister.
"No, I'm going to head over to see Scorpius' for a bit," Rose said as she made her way into the kitchen.
Ron rolled his eyes at the mention of his daughter's boyfriend, who also happened to be Draco Malfoy's son. "Are you really still dating that Malfoy kid?"
"Yes, dad, for two years now…" Rose rolled her eyes.
"Bloody Malfoy…" Ron mumbled.
"Ron, we have met Scorpius numerous times. He is a nice boy," Hermione reminded Ron. Although when Rose had first mentioned Scorpius, Hermione had been less than thrilled with the thought of her daughter hanging out with a Malfoy she had to admit that Draco's wife, Astoria, had done a good job raising Scorpius to be the opposite of everything Draco had been in school and that he was a very nice young man.
Ron just rolled his eyes again as Lex swayed impatiently for her mother to go shopping. Although she shared her mother's nose and smile, her impatience had clearly come from Ron.
"Alright let's go!" Lex finally said and ran out the door ahead of Hermione, nearly knocking her older brother Hugo over as he came in from outside.
"Hey! Watch it!" Hugo shouted at his sister.
Lex turned around and stuck her tongue out at her older brother.
"Wish me luck," Hermione sighed at Lex's action and gave Ron a quick kiss on the cheek, never imagining it would be the last time she saw her husband, oldest daughter, or son alive.
