Twenty-Eight

"Hmm." Bella hums against my lips, grinding down on my dick that's threatening to burst through my zipper. "Say it again."

I chuckle and take her beautiful face in my hands. "I love you, Bella. If you want me to, I'll say it a thousand times over. I love you. I love you. I love you—"

She cuts me off with a sloppy, passionate kiss. "No need to repeat yourself over and over again, handsome. I just like hearing it a lot so be prepared to say it often."

"Okay. Now your turn."

More grinding, she pulls on the hair at the back of my head, knowing it drives me mad. "I love you, Edward Cullen. More than I've ever loved anyone."

I give a happy sigh and take her ass in my hands. "Now that we've established our feelings and talked about the important things, can I please take you upstairs and continue showing you how much I love you?"

"Wait. There's one more thing we need to discuss." Bella stands and pulls her shirt down. "My dad's birthday is coming up. I wasn't going to go, but I feel guilty that I just sent his present."

"Do you need to take time off to go visit?"

She bites her lip. "Actually, I was hoping the two of us could take a small road trip. Get there Monday afternoon and leave on Tuesday. You don't have to if you don't want to. I'd just really like them to meet you and for you to meet them."

"This coming Monday?"

"Yeah, is that okay? I know it's last minute and all."

"I was going to introduce you to Alice and Jasper, but we can do that any time. I'd love to go to Forks and see where you grew up."

"And meet my parents?" Bella asks hesitantly.

I stand up and pull her into my arms. "Yeah, baby. I'd love to meet them."

Bella sighs and burrows into my chest.

"Your dad doesn't hunt, does he?"

"Yeah, he's a great outdoorsman and the town sheriff."

I tense, and she asks me what's wrong.

"Let me get this straight. You want to surprise your dad for his birthday by bringing your much older boyfriend, who owns a bar, might I add."

"Yeah, that's the plan." She smirks. "Are you afraid?"

I gulp. "Well, yeah. I don't know if I even want kids, but I will need them in the future, if I ever decide to. I can't very much put a baby in you if your daddy shoots my balls off."

Bella breaks out in a fit of giggles, her whole body shaking. "Oh, Edward."

"I'm dead serious, baby."

"My dad is not going to shoot you. Once he sees how much I love you, he would never hurt me like that."

I'm not convinced.

"Edward." Bella lifts my chin until I meet her gaze. "Trust me when I say everything will be fine."

"What about your ex? Is he going to come sniffing around to try and win you back?"

"Don't worry about Jacob. I'll handle that." She leans up and kisses me softly before pulling away. "Now, about that promise to take me upstairs and show me how much you love me ..."

I toss her over my shoulder fireman style and start up the stairs. "Since I'm going to hell ..."

Bella just laughs and pinches my ass.

I spend the whole night worshiping and holding her close until there isn't a doubt in her mind that I don't love her completely.

After she's spent and fast asleep, I just stare at her and marvel at how much she's changed me in so little time.
