Chapter 34
Teresagatan (Michael's apartment)
Michael wakes up with his parents' favorite song in his head. It is played over and over and Michael sings along to the lyrics. The song is sung by Mama Cass Elliot and is called "Make your own kind of music". Michael knows his parents got married to that song so it meant a lot to them. Michael thinks the song is good but maybe a little too uneventful when compared to other songs.
Michael's parents listened to quite a lot of The Beatles and Michael's favorite albums with them were "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band" and "Abbey Road" and he has them on vinyl and listens to them occasionally. But he hasn't heard Mama Cass Elliot since he moved away from home and now of course.
Michael remembers that it's been a long time since he called his parents and he feels like doing it and he starts to get out of bed but suddenly stops in his tracks. There's a band-aid on one of Michael's arms and it's the kind of band-aid that looks like the ones he's had when he's been in the hospital and they've poked him with a needle and saved some blood from him. But Michael has no memory of visiting any hospital in a very long time so that band-aid shouldn't be sitting where it is. Michael also has no memory of the police poking him with a needle before the interrogation. He should remember that in that case. Michael pulls the band-aid off and there is a small red dot on the skin underneath as if someone has poked him with a needle.
Michael shakes his head and gets up from the bed and his head feels heavy and it's as if the thoughts move more slowly in his brain. Michael thinks it might be because he wished for the PredAllien to exist in reality but he doesn't know if it does yet. Michael looks at the clock and sees that it's 4:40 PM and he hasn't eaten lunch yet and he's getting very hungry. Michael goes into the kitchen and takes out a ready meal that he puts in the microwave and he puts it in seven minutes because it says so on the package.
Michael takes out his cell phone and calls his parents while he waits for the food to finish heating. The signals go through but no one answers. Finally the answering machine goes off but Michael doesn't leave a message, he decides to call later or the parents will call him when they see that Michael has called. Michael puts the mobile phone on the coffee table because he intends to watch TV while he eats. Michael has not watched the TV magazine so he does not know what will be shown during the evening, but he thinks that there is always something interesting to watch.
The food is ready and Michael takes the hot food out of the microwave and puts the food on a plate and takes it into the living room. Michael turns on his TV and it's time for the Solvalla trot and Michael thinks he'll watch it while he eats. The TV picture shows the entire trotting track and there are lots of spectators in the stands. A TV commentator tells the viewers that the king is there and he has his own booth where he and the queen sit so they wont be disturbed by the public.
Solvalla trotting track
The 12 horses wait obediently behind a larger machine on the trotting track and they are ready to start running when the machine is driven away and the start signal is heard. Before, a shot was heard but many horses got scared when they heard the sound and instead a trumpet signal is heard when they are about to start running.
The TV commentators have their own large booth and they have oversight of the entire trotting track and can see the finish line on several monitors. The commentators for tonight's trot are called Gene and Evert and they are already guessing which horse will win.
- Well, dear viewers. It will be an exciting trot tonight. As usual, horse number 12 is tipped to win but we also have some other horses that have recently shown their front legs and that they can run fast and long and that is horse number 11 and 7. Will horse number 7 or 11 poke down horse 12 from the throne or will another horse win? This is going to be so exciting.
- Yes, and it will be no less exciting as we have just found out that horse number 7 is now being trained by the same person who trained horse 12 before. We know from experience that that coach is really good at his job.
- Oh yes. This could be a real shocker. One thing we know for sure. One horse will win but it will be very exciting to see who it will be. Now I hear in my headphones that it is time to start the trot. They just have to move the machine. Which one do you think will win, Gene?
- I actually think it will be horse number 7. That horse is the brother of horse number 12, so it's only fair if it wins.
- That's true. I also think that the new trainer is better at motivating the horse to do its best.
The machine is driven away from the trotting track and the start signal is heard. All 12 horses start running around the track and it doesn't take long until horse number 12 is first and then comes horse number 11 and then horse number 7. Then there is a big gap before the next horse and it is number 8. After that follows horse number 10 and it is extremely close to horse number 8. The other horses are very close to each other and they are not running that fast right now.
After a few minutes, horse number 7 increases its speed and overtakes both horse number 11 and 12 and is thus the leading horse. The TV commentators are not particularly surprised, but many in the audience think it is strange that horse number 7 is now leading the trot. Most of the audience have, as usual, guessed that horse number 12 will win. But the horses have many laps left to run and the current order can change quickly.
But horse number 12 increases its speed and runs past horse number 7 and at the same time horse number 5 increases its speed and runs alongside horse number 8 and both the audience and the TV commentators are very surprised. Horse number 5 usually comes almost last, but today it has good speed and determination. Horse number 1 increases its speed and runs past both horse number 8 and 5 but also horse number 11 and it goes like a whiz through the audience. This was unexpected. The TV commentators are quick to comment on what is happening.
- Ohh. That was unexpected. I said this would be an exciting trot and it sure looks like it will be. A lot can happen tonight.
- This is getting really exciting. It's great to see horse number 5 and number 1 running so well tonight. They have never run this fast before.
Horse number 12 has very high speed as it gallops across the track and the hard hooves clatter against the ground, but something disturbs the horse and it begins to lose speed. Horse number 7 runs past horse number 12 and thus leads the trot right now. The rider sitting on horse number 12 urges his horse to run faster but instead the horse slows down even more and the rider becomes frustrated. The rider sitting on horse number 12 suddenly sees a violent movement in the horse's belly. It looks like something is moving in there, but this horse can't give birth to foals so it can't be what's moving in the stomach. Horse number 12 slowly trots forward along the track and part of the audience starts booing loudly. The TV commentators wonder what is happening to the horse.
- Horse number 12 seems to have a problem. Could it be the hooves causing trouble?
- I rather think that it looks as if the horse can't run for some reason.
- This horse is the people's favorite. How do you think this will affect what people think?
- As most people know, it can be a problem even for favourites, so I hope they understand that.
- The crowd here at Solvalla trottrack doesn't sound too happy anyway.
- No, they really don't. Hopefully the horse will pick up his speed again.
An even stronger movement in the belly of horse number 12 is seen and whatever it is that is moving in there, it stretches the skin a lot and it almost looks like some oblong shape. The audience sitting closest to the trotting track can see the elongated figure stretching the skin but those sitting further up cannot see it. The TV commentators can't see the elongated shape either, but they see that the horse trots very slowly and they try to guess why that is.
Meanwhile, horse number 1 increases its speed and runs right behind horse number 7, and then horses number 11 and 10 follow. Horse numbers 11 and 10 run side by side, but horse number 11 seems to have more power than horse number 10.
The stomach of horse number 12 explodes in a large geyser of blood and flying parts of the horse's entrails and something large pops out of the horse's stomach and lands on the track. It's not a foal, but whatever it is, it appears to be four-legged. What popped out of the horse's stomach raises its head and now everyone on the trot track can see what it is. It is an Alien monster and its elongated and banana-like head glistens with the blood from the horse and a small part of the horse's gut hangs around the Alien monster's neck but it soon lands on the ground with a wet sound. The alien monster moves quickly forward across the track and it soon arrives at the steel fence that separates the track from the crowd. The alien monster opens its jaw and ejects the inner jaw, pulling away part of the steel fence that separates the trot track from the crowd. The TV commentators are shocked when they see the Alien monster are born from the horse's stomach.
- But what? Oh my god. An Alien monster was born from the horse's belly.
- Yeah. This means that horse number 12 cannot possibly win tonight.
- No, the horse is dead now, so that's not possible.
- I have certain suspicions that many who have bet on horse number 12 will be very upset about this.
- The question is whether the trot should not be stopped in view of what just happened. We'll see what happens. So far, those who decide say that the trot will continue.
The horses which are at the very end run past their dead comrade and it is noticeable that they are nervous and can hardly stay on the trotting track but when they have come some distance from horse number 12 they increase their speed. Horse number 3 begins to approach the horses running in the middle. Horse number 10 begins to snort heavily and toss its head and the rider sitting on the horse pulls harder on the reins. Horse number 10 approaches horse number 11 but horse number 11 increases its speed and runs past horse number 7 and now horse number 11 is in the lead. But it doesn't take long until horse number 1 runs past horse number 11 and suddenly horse number 1 is in the lead. The TV commentators are excited.
- Oh, oh. Things do happen here. This was really unexpected. Like I said before, this trot could end either way.
- Yes, it hasn't been this exciting for years.
- Will we perhaps see a new horse become the favorite today? I wonder if horse number 11 or 7 will become favorites now that horse number 12 has died.
- It is of course tragic that horse number 12 died, but oh dear, what a lot of action and thrilling excitement we have on the trot track today.
The alien monster that was born from horse number 12 manages to tear away the steel grid between the track and the audience and enters the area where the audience is and some of the audience leave the track and drive home but most stay. There are no people where the Alien monster is moving right now and the audience can see it from the stands. The alien monster drools profusely and large transparent puddles form on the ground.
Morgan and Lucas look at the Alien monster and they look almost pleased. So far, this trot has gone exactly as they have wanted. There are many in the audience who booed after the Alien monster was born from horse number 12 and they want the trot to end but the trot continues. Morgan and Lucas know that more Alien monsters will be born and they are anxiously waiting for it to happen again.
Morgan and Lucas don't have to wait long before the stomach of horse number 10 explodes in a giant geyser of blood and flying guts. Part of a gut lands on the broken fence and it glistens in the sunlight. A large Alien monster pops out of the horse's belly with a wet and grotesque sound and this Alien monster is bigger than the one born from horse number 12. The Alien monster is four-legged and the horse's blood shines on its black exoskeleton. The rider sitting on horse number 10 falls to the ground and is eaten by the Alien monster and the crowd screams in horror and anger. The TV commentators are shocked by what is happening.
- Oh no, the Rider was eaten by the Alien monster.
- What the hell is going on? The horses must have been attacked by facehuggers, but its riders should know about that in that case. I don't really understand.
- Yes, something is strange, that's for sure.
Horse number 11 is very close to horse number 10 when the Alien monster is born but the rider on horse number 11 is fast and makes sure that the horse runs past the Alien monster and the lying horse. Fortunately, the two dead horses lie along the outer edge of the trotting track and normally the horses only run on the inner edge of the trotting track so the dead horses are not in the way of the other horses. The blood from the dead horses makes the trot track slippery but not slippery enough to stop the trot.
Horse number 7 increases his speed dramatically and runs past both horse number 11 and number 1 and is back in the lead. The bellies of horse number 2 and 4 suddenly explode in large geysers of blood and loose body parts and two large Alien monsters plop onto the track with wet sounds. These horses are very last and they don't have very high speed as the Alien monsters explode from their stomachs. Both riders manage to jump off their horses before being attacked by the newborn Alien monsters. The riders leave the track and they drag the two dead horses off the track.
The two Alien monsters walk around the trot track but soon find the bodies of the dead horses and they start eating them. The audience looks the other way as the Alien monsters pull out the horses' internal organs and eat them. The alien monsters leave nothing of the horses, they also eat the horses' hides and when they are done, it is only the lakes of blood on the ground that gossip about what has happened. The alien monster that was born from horse number 12 has gone back to the horse and has recently eaten its body.
Horse number 7 is approaching the start of the trot where they started and there is only one lap left to run before the trot is finished. The crowd is slowly starting to cheer for horse number 7 as it looks like it has the best chance of winning right now. There is only one person who has guessed that this particular horse will win but it is only that person who is aware of it. The TV commentators don't really know what to say but report what is happening for the TV viewers.
Horse number 8 is spooked by something and the rider loses control of the horse and it runs wild and leaves the track and runs onto the grass that is around the entire track. The horse stops in the middle of the lawn and the rider pulls on the reins and tries to make the horse run back to the track and continue the trot. The rider sees the four Alien monsters that are on different parts of the outer trot track and he guesses that they are the ones who have spooked the horse but they are not that close to where the horse was running so it shouldn't have been disturbed by them. The rider talks to the horse and it snorts loudly and twists and turns its head. It is clear that it is still frightened. The TV commentators comment on what just happened.
- What really happened there? The horse ran wild, but I didn't quite see why.
- It may have been frightened by one of the Alien monsters.
- Hmm, but they are not that close to where the horse ran
- It's not a good trot when four horses have died and one leaves the track.
- Well, we seem to have a winner already I think but of course it doesn't feel very fair to those who have bet on the horses that have died but it is also difficult to stop the trot because of their death. It will be difficult to replace those horses quickly.
Horse number 8 begins to approach the track again and horse number 6 comes running and after a few seconds of waiting, horse number 8 begins to run after horse number 6 and both the audience and the TV commentators breathe a sigh of relief. Now all the horses are on the track again except the dead ones of course. Neither horse number 6 nor 8 seems to increase their speed and they run almost parallel to each other. These two horses are brothers to each other and they work very well together.
The four Alien monsters have started to approach the steel fence that is between the track and the audience, and those sitting at the very bottom of the stand are starting to get worried when they see that the Alien monsters seem to be looking straight at them. The lower spectators do not want to become food for the Alien monsters and they begin to prepare to escape if necessary. All four Alien monsters are drooling profusely and large wet puddles form under and next to the Alien monsters. Everyone in the audience thinks it's a bad sign that the Alien monsters are drooling so profusely. But Morgan and Lucas can't help but smile at the drooling monsters and they think this was a very good idea.
Horse number 7 is almost at the finish line and then follows horse 1, 11 0ch 9. After that there is a big gap and the next horses are number 8 and 6 and at the very end comes horse number 5 and number 3. Morgan and Lucas see that they first four horses match the betting but it is a little worrying that the Alien monsters from horse number 6 and 8 have not been born yet. It may change whether horse number 5 and 3 are last or not but horse number 5 seems to be picking up speed and is soon just behind horse number 6 and 8. Lucas mutters to himself.
- But be born now dammit. Come on. Let me see the last Alien monsters.
The TV commentators are almost in ecstasy when they see how close horse number 7 is to the finish line and they can't help but cheer for the horse.
- Ow Ow Ow. Now it's really exciting here. It looks like we already have a winner for sure and it will be horse number 7 or will horse number 1 or 11 run past horse number 7 at the last minute? Horse number 11 has long looked to be trying to make one last dash. Will it do so and surprise us even more?
- Yes, this trot has really been special and exciting. While we seem to have a new winner, we have also lost a big favorite. I thought the birth was very reminiscent of what happened to the dog in Alien 3.
- These Alien births have really changed the trot today. I don't really know if I should say it's positive, but it's still exciting and interesting.
- This is so exciting that I'm starting to sweat, even though it's a bit chilly where I'm sitting right now.
- Me too.
Horse number 7 reaches the finish line and becomes the winning horse in this trot. The crowd applauds but not as much as if horse number 12 had won. There are many in the audience who are very disappointed with the result. The TV commentators sound more satisfied.
- We have a winner. It was horse number 7 who won this trot. This was a real nail biter wasn't it Evert?
- You can really say that. I almost got shivers down my spine now that horse number 7 crossed the finish line. It feels as if a new star has been born.
Horse number 1 and 11 reach the finish line almost simultaneously. A few seconds later horse number 9 arrives and it looks strained. The rider does not look happy even though this is the horse's best position in a long time.
The stomachs of horse number 6 and number 8 explode in large geysers of blood and parts of entrails and two wet four-legged Alien monsters pop out of the horses' stomachs and land on the track. Horse number 5 almost runs into the two Alien monsters but the rider manages to swerve away from them and soon reaches the finish line. Horse number 3 becomes terrified when it sees the Alien monsters and refuses to run further, but the rider manages to persuade the horse to run away towards the finish line and horse number 3 is the last horse to reach the finish line.
Morgan and Lucas cheer when they see that every number on the tip is correct. Now Reine will win several millions. But Morgan and Lucas are all alone cheering and most of the crowd is looking at them angrily and not understanding why they are cheering. Six good horses have died and it's really nothing to be happy about.
The two newborn Alien monsters eat the two dead horses and most of the audience want to look away but the Alien monsters are almost in front of the stands. The alien monsters dig deep into the horses with their inner jaws and tear out several organs on the ground but they also eat them after a while. The alien monsters eat very quickly and soon there is nothing left of the horses except a lot of red blood on the track.
The TV commentators leave their booth while the broadcast from Solvalla ends and a sweaty man sitting in a TV studio starts talking about the trot and it is noticeable that the man is shaken by what has happened. In some pubs in town that have shown the trot, the atmosphere is fierce. Many think that the trot would have ended when the first Alien monster was born. Rumors of deliberate sabotage on the trot have already begun to spread. It is believed that it is no coincidence that the Alien monsters were born from these very horses, but no one can prove exactly how the sabotage took place.
The alien monster that was born from horse number 8 starts making loud hissing and screeching sounds while it twists and turns its oblong banana-like head and after a while all the alien monsters gather around the monster. It seems that this Alien monster is some kind of alpha and it is the biggest of them all. The alien monster that was born from horse number 8 looks at its companions and begins to make low and fast noises. It almost sounds as if the Alien monster is talking but no one in the audience understands what it is saying to its companions.
After a short while, the six Alien monsters form a grouping with the largest monster in the lead and they begin to approach the stand. The six Alien monsters get over the steel fence that is between the track and the stand and once the monsters get over the steel fence and stand in front of the stand, they start to spread out so that each Alien monster stands in front of the six steps to each part of the stand.
Morgan and Lucas wonder what it's all about while most of the others in the audience panic. They realize that the six Alien monsters have planned to make a joint attack on them. More and more people in the audience start to get up and go towards the exit which is at the very top. All six Alien monsters start moving upwards towards the crowd at exactly the same time and Morgan and Lucas almost drop their jaws when they see what is happening. Morgan whispers in Lucas's ear.
- Just like a fucking coordinated army. We have to get out of here. Now!
- But the Alien monsters are usually never this smart, are they?
- I think that some of the horses' DNA has been transferred to the Alien monsters and has made them smarter.
The six Alien monsters have come to the first floor of the stand and they are moving quickly towards the people who have not yet managed to escape. Each Alien monster opens its jaw and ejects the inner jaw with great force, smashing the faces and backs of the audience's heads. The alien monsters tear large chunks of flesh from their victims and the flesh disappears through their jaws. Three of the Alien monsters use their tails and penetrate them through the bodies of three people who are above the first floor of the stands. The humans' bodies are spiked by the sharp tails, and the spine-like black tails stick in through the stomach and out through the back. Morgan and Lucas are on the fourth floor so it takes a while for the Alien monsters to get there but they still start to move and walk the last two floors to the exit.
The alien monsters continue their coordinated attack and blood splatters from the victims, staining the stands red. When all the people who were on the first floor of the stand are dead, the Alien monsters continue up to the next floor. The stairs leading up to the exit are crowded and those with poor balance fall and hit themselves. An elderly lady is pushed in the back and she falls down the steps and lands right in front of the feet of one of the Alien monsters. The alien monster lowers its oblong banana-like head towards the lady and its inner jaw shoots out and penetrates her stomach with a wet sound. The alien monster soon feasts on her intestines and inner flesh.
The alien monsters are merciless and leave no living victims and they come up to the third floor of the stand. Several of the people on this floor have managed to escape so the Alien monsters won't find as many people to eat. Morgan and Lucas haven't made it through the exit yet as more people keep pouring towards the exit but they've made it up to floor five anyway so it's not far to the exit. The alien monsters come up to the fourth floor and here there are more victims and they are standing on the stairs going up to the exit. An Alien monster shoots out its inner jaw and smashes the back of a younger girl's head, and blood splatters on the necks of Morgan and Lucas.
Another Alien monster chases a middle-aged man and his wife and they run along the seats in the stands trying to avoid the Alien monster. But the man steps crookedly on a chair and his leg bends to the side and he falls heavily against the chair and the cement floor. The alien monster kills the man in seconds and the man's wife decides to go up the queue to the exit and push her way through there. She knows her husband is dead and there is nothing she can do.
The alien monsters drool profusely and the drool runs down the stairs making them slippery. All the blood from the dead people mixes with the drool and turns into a thick red mass that runs down the steps.
Some of the Alien monsters reach out their long arms and grab the humans and they pull the humans close to them. The alien monsters smell the fear of the trapped humans and they wait for a few seconds before shooting their jaws at the humans' stomachs and chests and ending their lives. The inner jaw protrudes so hard that it protrudes through some of the people's backs.
Morgan and Lucas make it to the exit and they hurry to their car. It's parked pretty close to the entrance and exit and when they get to the car they get in right away but Morgan can't drive right away because there are so many other cars moving at the same time and he doesn't want to crash so he waits for his turn to drive.
The alien monsters have come up to the fifth floor and there are no longer so many people there, but at the far end of the middle of the stand there is a middle-aged man and he doesn't seem to be afraid of the alien monsters. The man is dying of cancer and he thinks he will die anyway so he stays where he is. The man also has a fetish. He wants to feel the alien monster's drool and put it in his mouth.
The Alien monster comes closer and the man holds out his hands and lets them be filled with the Alien monster's transparent drool. Because the drool is so liquid, some of it flows out between the fingers, but when there is a large pool of drool in the hands, the man pushes his hands into his mouth and it fills with the warm drool. The alien monster's drool has no particular taste, it tastes neutral, but the sensation of it against the palate feels special and the man moves the drool around with his tongue and feels its exotic texture. He has never felt a structure like this before. The man swallows all the drool and it runs down his throat.
The alien monster opens its jaw and a large blob of thick drool begins to slide out of the open jaw and the man catches it with one hand and pushes the thick transparent warm drool into his mouth. This drool doesn't have a special taste either, but instead it feels like carbonic acid against the palate and the inside of the mouth. The drool kind of pops and sizzles against the skin but seems to be dissolved by the man's saliva and most of the carbonation disappears after a few seconds. The man swallows the thick drool and it does not flow down as easily through the throat, but in the end it has passed the entire throat.
The alien monster stands and watches the man and it seems that it has seen and understood what the man is doing. The man reaches his hands out again and lets them fill with more transparent drool but the drool is more liquid than the big blob that just came. When the man's hands are completely filled with the drool, he sticks them in his mouth again and the mouth almost overflows with all the xenomorph drool but it doesn't bothers him and he swallows the drool and it runs down the throat. The drool starts to irritate his throat and the man coughs a few times but again fills his hands with more drool and pushes it into his mouth when his hands are full. The man swallows all the drool from the Alien monster.
Several cars have left the large parking lot and Morgan starts to drive forward but suddenly there is a stop again. An Alien monster has come to the parking lot and it stands watching the cars leaving the parking lot. No one dares to drive when the Alien monster is so close to the cars. Morgan presses the car horn so that the Alien monster will hopefully move and it does. The alien monster starts to approach Morgan's car but Morgan is not going to be stopped by the monster so he drives slowly forward.
The alien monster hisses at the car and stretches out its long arms and drags its sharp claws against the car's paintwork and Morgan gets pissed off at the monster and roars loudly.
- Listen. Dude, you don't touch my car. You will be penalized if you do not remove your hands immediately. I will run over your exoskeleton.
- Calm down. That won't help. Let it be.
- But it damages the paint on the car.
- You can afford to repaint the car several times considering the profit.
- Yeah. Shit the same.
The alien monster stops dragging its claws against the car's paint and appears to be watching Morgan and Lucas but decides they are not worth the trouble of breaking the car window and walks away from the car. Morgan and Lucas leave the parking lot and they laugh that the trot went the way they wanted it to. Hopefully no one will suspect any sabotage, but it is an accident or coincidence that caused these horses to be attacked by facehuggers.
Lucas calls Reine and congratulates him on the win. They shall share equally all three when the winnings have been distributed. Reine is very happy about the win and almost screams with joy into the mobile phone.
Teresagatan (Michael's apartment)
Michael turns off his TV and sits in the silence, thinking about what he just witnessed. Michael thinks it's obvious that this is deliberate sabotage, just like when he himself placed the Alien eggs in Kungsträdgården. But the question is who has done it and why.
There is no chance that any Alien warriors have placed Alien eggs at these particular horses' stables regardless of whether the horses are next to each other or if horses with even numbers are on one side and the odd ones on another. It was only the horses with even numbers that gave birth to Alien monsters and it does not feel like a coincidence. Michael knows that horse number 12 has been the people's favorite for a long time because Mia used to bet and told Michael this. But Mia is no longer alive and Michael has found out that she was killed by the Alien monster that he and Sven saw being borned on the boat to Gröna Lund. Michael doesn't miss Mia. They didn't see each other much at the group accommodation.
Michael remembers that he told Morgan where the Alien Queen had her old hive and he begins to wonder if he is involved in what happened on the trot. When Michael thinks back on the day that has passed, he remembers that Reine got a message on his cell phone when they were washing the wooden cart and that was after Morgan had left them and gone on his way. The more Michael thinks about it, the more certain he becomes that Morgan and the others are somehow involved, but he doesn't really need to know how or why. After all, he signed that agreement and doesn't want to do too much research into the matter. Michael guesses that if he knows too much about this, it may punish himself.
Michael picks up his cell phone and calls his parents again. The signals go through but no one answers and the answering machine goes off after 22 rings but Michael chooses not to leave a message. It is worrying that they do not respond. Michael knows his parents are home at this time and they should hear the phone ring. It is possible that they are cleaning, but Michael feels uneasy in his body when no one answers.
Michael remembers that the TV commentators mentioned the movie Alien 3 and an Alien birth with a dog involved. Michael has not seen that movie but he will think that it might be aviable on Youtube. Michael takes the cell phone with him and goes into the bedroom and starts his computer and he searches Youtube for Alien 3 and gets many hits.
Some of the clips are age-restricted so Michael can't watch them unless his staff logs in with a code but Michael sees that there is movie aviable and it is dubbed in Russian but with English subtitles and it's not age-restricted so he starts watching the movie. Michael is very surprised when the girl and the wounded soldier die and this movie seems to be more depressing than the others.
Michael thinks it's interesting and cool when the Alien monster is born from the dog. It looks almost the same with the dog that gave birth to an Alien in Kungsträdgården, but that dog was bigger than the one in the movie.
Michael thinks that Sigourney Weaver who plays Ripley looks like Sinead O Connor when she has her hair shaved off and he remembers that kind of hair style was popular in the 1990s when the movie came out.
Michael is fascinated when he sees that the Alien monster in the movie can climb walls and he wonders if the Alien monsters that were born from the horses on the trot can do it too. He thinks it would be cool if they could. Michael is surprised when the character Ripley is pushed against a wall and the Alien monster comes close to her and it reminds him of what an Alien monster did to him in the King's Garden although Michael felt no fear even though the monster had its face and inner jaw very close to his face. Michael laughs as he remembers the Alien monster's drool flowing into his mouth. Ripley didn't have to deal with that.
Michael is not too surprised when it turns out that the character Ripley has a growing Alien in her chest because the film is so religious and generally depressing. Whatever happens, Ripley won't be the surviving hero this time. When Ripley finally throws herself into the red-hot lead and the chestburster is born, Michael is not surprised. He has already guessed that it would end like this. On the other hand, he thinks it is interesting that the facehugger was able to release its eggs into both the dog's and Ripley's chest before it died, and that it was a future Alien queen that burst out of Ripley's chest.
The film ends and Michael sits quietly and still on his nice computer chair and he starts to read today's news and finds out that the Alien queen has passed Hammarby because a TV team has managed to film her when she got there. Michael will immediately think that Erikdalsbadet could probably work as a hive if the pool beds are emptied of water and MIchael thinks about whether he should go there and see if the Alien queen is there but he thinks that it is too late in the day for that. It is almost evening and since it is Saturday, Erikdalsbadet has already closed. Michael thinks he can go there tomorrow instead and see if the Alien Queen is there. Erikdalsbadet is also close to his parents' villa, so maybe he can visit them too when he is in the area.
