Chapter 02: Con-Catastrophe

BACK WITH THE GANG

The scene reopens to where Jack, Miko and Raf were trying to make sense of the mysterious DMV device. Vogel gave it a good polish to let it shine, and Raf continued searching the network on his lab top for any clues but found none. The only thing that Miko did was wiggled the pool's water while Jack firmly watch the entrance door. There wasn't much happening, but sometimes boredom can mean things are safe…for the time being.

"Sign….Well I'm bored out of my mind." Miko signs heavily before standing up and moves away from the pool. "So, what can this little baby do?" Miko inspects the DMV device, hoping it might distract her a bit.

"Woah-woah, who says we wanna find out what it does?" Jack looks back to remind Miko of the dangers of messing with unknown Cybertron tech.

"Come on, aren't you the least bit curious?" Miko smiled from wanting the guy to get a sense of adventure.

"Miko, we're not even sure what this DMV thing is or what it does?" Jack reminds the girl that they are almost about to mess with things they don't understand. "For all we know, it could be something bad?" He remembers many of the items the Transformers sent to their world, not all were peaceful.

"Or it could be something good. Like maybe one of those relics of the Primes." Miko stated on recalling the good stuff they found. "Like a hammer that forges stuff, a mighty sword, or keys…" She was counting her fingers of the good things they gotten.

"Yeah, or possibly a weapon the Decepticons could use to do more harm then good." Jack firmly held his belief that they aren't sure what they are dealing with.

"Or maybe it's an alien flinging disc." Vogel spoke up that made everyone look to him weirdly. "What, who's to say that aliens don't like a good Frisbee game?" Vogel stated that it could be a possible thing that aliens pass the time.

"Well whatever this thing is, I'm not finding any records of a DMV from when my lap top was connected to the Autobot's main system." Raf signs to close his lab top from admitting he can't find any intel on what they have. "Sorry guys, we may have to ask an actual Transformer on this case." The young boy suggest the only way they can possibly get any help.

"Oh sure, I bet the cell bill to another planet is crazy expensive." Miko rolled her eyes at imagining they can just dial and call another planet.

"Well, maybe we can ask Agent Fowler, he's been able to keep tabs on the Autobots. Whenever they come around and discuss matters of cooperation and such. The least we can do is send a message." Jack suggest they reach a federal agent they know to reach their Transformer friends. "Right now our priority is getting this thing out of here. But it is pretty heavy when the three of us took it." Jack stated this out while knowing the item weighs a ton when they tried to move it.

"Good thing we got just the man with the muscle work cut out." Miko smiled to point at Vogel being the man for the heavy duty task.

"Sure thing, just leave the lifting to ol' Vogel here." Vogel smiled proudly to help anyone handle things which in this case, involves alien tech.

"Okay, so we stay here, get a signal out and have Agent Fowler pick us up." Jack suggest the safest way they can do things.

"But Jack, didn't we promise your mom we meet her back at the hospital when her conference was over?" Raf reminds Jack about their appointment with his mother.

"Ohh, yeah…forgot about that?" Jack yelped upon realizing such an important matter.

"Dude, just tell her we'll be a little late?" Miko brushed off that they can make an excuse.

"Yeah, that might make her more suspicious. And last thing she wants, is learning we got ourselves into trouble. Especially if it involves alien trouble." Jack stated on knowing after the whole learning of Transformers thing, his mother knows the danger he faced: after the Autobots left things have been quiet and peaceful. "Ok, new plan…we try to get out without drawing too much attention." The guy tries to think up another plan on the spot.

"Relax Jack, I'm sure nobody has even learn we technically stole something that was not his and belongs to a race of alien robots." Miko shrug off the shoulders to look at things with a positive expression. "What can go wrong?" Course when someone says that, something answers back…

"Um, guys, you may wanna see this." Raf alerted the gang when he opened his lab top to check the security videos of the hotel. "I just tap into the hotel's security cameras, and look who's among the crowds." The boy points at something that stuck out from the rest of the crowd: familiar foes.

"Wha, them blokes with ski mask?" Vogel raised an eyebrow from seeing who stuck out from normal folks and those in costume.

"MECH, I thought those guys were finished?" Miko raised an eyebrow, surprised of who was present.

"Not so much, looks like the plan's changed again." Jack narrow his eyes to firmly state what they got to deal with. "We gotta get out and fast!" He issued that there's no time to spare.

"I'll carry this thing and be right behind you kids." Vogel issued as he was going to grab something to carry the large disc object.

"We need an escape route, any choices Raf?" Miko asked the smart little guy for any helpful insights.

"Well, it looks like the main center event has a lot of people, we can try to slip in through them." Raf points to what he found on his lab top screen of a major spot. "But it might also slow us down reaching the exit." The little boy with glasses felt uncertain of success rate.

"No choice, let's quickly move." Jack shook his head to firmly decide they have to take a gamble. "The Autobots handle the Decepticons, MECH is apart of our world's version of the bad bots. We just gotta handle this carefully." The guy knew the risk were high, but they dealt with worse and so they must adjust.

With that said, Jack goes over a plan on what they will do in order to successfully get out of this situation. And it's not gonna be easy when it's just three kids and a grown muscle man that works in subway train stations.

ELSEWHERE

IN THE HOTEL

The scene changes to where the activities of different cons continued within the hotel. Everyone was exploring, dressing up, had costumes, watch events, play games, watch shows, etc. But while that was happening, we spot Handsome Jack observing things from the fourth floor before one of MECH's troopers approached him.

"Mr. Jack, our units have secured the exits. We're inspecting everyone that comes in and out." The MECH Trooper salutes to give a report on maintaining control of the situation.

"Good job, now we got our rats trap." Handsome Jack smiled from hearing things are going well. "Now we just follow where they are, and claim the cheese the rodents took into the maze." The guy issued from knowing how to apprehend the targets.

"Ugh…" The MECH Trooper was uncertain of that phrase.

"You know, it's a reverse metaphor about mice in mazes and cheese, which…" Handsome Jack tried to explain what he was going with but… "You know what, forget it. I need Brawns to help with my Brain." He brushed off the matter to know why he's the brains of the operation.

Now Handsome Jack and the MECH troops begin to split off and cover more area while using a tracking device to pinpoint the stolen prize. During the same time, we spot Jack, Miko and Raf in front of Vogel acting like a casual tourist group. And on Vogel's back was the mysterious DMV Disc strap by rubber rope bans to the guy's chest to pose it off as some shield while Vogel carried the tech rifle.

"Okay, remember…we're trying to act natural." Jack whispered to the group on their movement.

"No prob…we got this in the bag." Miko smiled to give a thumbs up on what to do. "Remember Vogel, you're role is a lone survivor in a war against mole men. And you're arm with a rifle and a shield." She instructs the big guy on if anyone ask what he's dressed as, it's a good cover story.

"Got it! I carry a weapon and have this thing tied to my back to make it convincing." Vogel nods while knowing he's got to play the role right.

"Well let's just hope people believe that story." Raf stated on hoping no one doubts such a false matter of pretending what you are when at a convention.

"Knowing this is a convention filled with folks that pretend they're somebody else, I think we're good." Jack shrug off to look at things positive when it comes to how ordinary folks behave.

"And check it out! I see an opening…" Miko points at what's lying in wait: an exit out of the hotel.

The group continue to walk through the crowds while aiming for the EXIT sign ahead. But as the crowds got more difficult to move around, Vogel bumped a few folks who took notice of the big shield-like disc object.

"Woah, that's one massive shield bro.?" A surfer guy comments on what he saw Vogel had on.

"Yeah, wonder what it's made of?" A second surfer dude states on the made material.

"Dude, can you image if that was made real?" A skater guy issued on such a thing being made to look so real it is.

"No way, that think looks like it weigh a ton!?" A skater girl brushed it off as such a thing be too heavy to bare.

"Urgh, they ain't lying? Carrying this bad boy all over is starting to take it's toll?" Vogel moans a bit from feeling the strain get to him.

"Just hang in there a little longer Vogel, we're nearly there." Miko encouraged the guy with gutsy and positive motive attitude.

"Ugh, yeah…about that?" Jack suddenly showed a frown when he stopped his group; because of what's ahead.

"Any luck?" A MECH Soldier approached one station by the exit door.

"No, the boss wants the item no matter what." The MECH Guard shook his head while giving his statement.

"Alright. We'll keep searching." The MECH Soldier stated before leaving the guard behind to rejoin the search party.

"Great, so now we know for real who the buyer is…or are?" Jack firmly states from absorbing the information to put the pieces together: MECH is the buyers Handsome Jack mention. "Can't go this way. We gotta double back." He turns to signal everyone to go back the way they came.

"I don't think that's a good idea either?" Raf warns the group as he saw more MECH Troopers coming out of an elevator and go towards the hallway exits. "MECH seems to have blocked exists and entry points. We need another way out?" The little guy stated from their options were now very limited.

"Well if going out the usual way is out, maybe we can try a different route." Vogel smiled to offer some off advise for this occasion. "I was just in one of them bathrooms that happens to have windows big enough for a person to squeeze through." He explained what could be replacing a door to help them get out of the building.

"Okay, not the worse idea?" Jack raised an eyebrow from finding that suggestion not completely foolish.

"Ugh, s'cuse me, if it's the boys room, I may have to go out the normal way?" Miko raised an eyebrow to sulk at knowing she can't go into the men's bathroom cause she's a girl.

"Look, let's just get through this without being…" Jack tries to have Miko see logic and keep things together when…

"Hey YOU!?" Then one of the MECH Troopers nearby spotted the gang which alerted them.

"Noticed?" Jack finished his sentence while knowing it's a little late now.

"That object….it's signature matches." Another MECH Trooper from afar used the scan device to see a clear match signal on Vogel's person.

"Hand it over." The next MECH Trooper demands the group give them what they want.

"Now what?" Raf asked with a worried look that many MECH Soldiers are gonna close in.

"Run!" Jack yelled out the only thing to do in this case.

The kids and Vogel immediately try to lose the MECH Troopers within the crowds of people. So far it was like dealing with a river of people and finding a current to swim through or get pushed back. It almost looked like the gang was gonna lose their pursuers…until when rushing to an open hallway, Handsome Jack steps forth out of nowhere.

"Not so fast!" Handsome Jack issued to stop those from going anywhere.

"Woah, it's Crazy Jack!?" Miko exclaimed on who's here so suddenly.

"It's Handsome Jack to you." Handsome Jack corrects the girl on pronouncing his name.

"Really, you look like a Crazy Jack to me?" Miko raised an eyebrow to sarcastically state her opinion.

"As much as I would love to play twenty-two questions, you have something that belongs to me." Handsome Jack smiled slyly while getting down to strict business.

"Really, you mean the alien tech that you tried to sell off to terrorist?" Jack raised an eyebrow to question the guy's sense.

"Haha, listen Little Jack, it's nothing personal, it's just business." Handsome Jack laughs off while stating the big facts in life. "Now hand it over." He held out his right hand, awaiting his prize while pulling out a tech rifle in his left hand.

"Hah, you threatening us with some phony product?" Vogel taunts the guy for thinking they be scared of a fake weapon sold in cons.

"True, when I sell these things to gullible people, the safety is on. But when I sell to prime customers." Handsome Jack smiled while stating an important detail that's overlooked. "It can get real messy." He secretly activated the tech to allow the tech rifle to become active and dangerous with a charge surge of energy.

"Ugh, guys…I think he means it?" Raf stated with worry about messing with these type of folks.

"No where to go, so just hand over the gizmo, and you'll be lucky to live longer lives." Handsome Jack asked again for those to surrender what he wants.

Handsome Jack and MECH Soldiers were closing in on the group. Jack, Miko and Raf were in front of Vogel who was holding onto the DMV Device thinking it's extremely important. But nobody realized they were backed into a corner, or more like the ledge rail over the bottom floor section.

"Woah!?" Vogel yelps from about to fall backwards over a ledge and the weight on his back made gravity work against him.

"Ugh!?" The kids yelped to notice and grabbed Vogel before he fell over the edge; but there were ripping sounds heard on the rope straps.

"NOOOO!" Handsome Jack screamed out from seeing an unexpected act while the MECH Troopers were concern behind their mask.

Too little and too late, the straps broke off and the DMV fell off Vogel's backside towards the bottom floor. Everyone watches as the large disc fell before hitting the center ground with a loud metallic clamp sound. The nearby crowds took interest right away, uncertain what occurred. And while distracted by the object, the center gem was emitting a bright light glow that started to become brighter as if charging…

"Woah!? Where that come from?" A skater guy asked from thinking that was whack.

"And why is it lighting up?" A nerdy guy raised his glasses from noticing the brightness of the object.

Before anyone knew what happen, strange lightning volts of energy spread out from the center, going all over the area. While many were confused and puzzled if this was dangerous or a lightshow, no one saw the next thing to occur. The energy jolts made contact with several visualize objects from artwork pictures, posters, comics, too even screens displaying anime/cartoons to even video games. Afterwards, multiple vortexes were appearing in all the scatter areas that almost appeared similar to Space Bridge technology.

"Check out the freaky 3D special effects!?" A Goth Girl exclaimed and was amaze by the scene that seem radical.

"I didn't even know they had this planned out." A Country Girl felt like this was something kept as a surprise event so no one knew.

Suddenly the vortexes flashed before something seem to escape from them as balls of light. The balls of light scattered around all over the bottom floor to the other parts of the hotel. During the moment of distraction, Jack, Miko, Raf and Vogel quickly took the chance to slip out of sight of Handsome Jack and MECH's eyes.

"Yo, what the heck's going on?" Vogel raised an eyebrow from seeing the crazy stuff going on.

"How should we know?" Miko shrug off the shoulders to admit she doesn't know.

"It looks like the device is creating multiple Space Bridges." Raf suggest a theory on having seen technology of a similar nature.

"Yeah, but to where?" Miko raised an eyebrow, uncertain of such a function for different travel locations.

"Figure it out later, we gotta get that device and get out before anything else happens." Jack issued that the real problem is keeping such tech from causing any problems.

The gang managed to reach the DMV Device, but now the next part was figuring out how to stop it from releasing energy jolts and creating vortexes. Course when Vogel lifted the disc up, the kids saw the gem being active. But then Miko felt curious and touch the center, and then…the light stopped.

"Miko?" Jack looked to the girl for what she did without telling them.

"What? I was curious how to turn it off?" Miko raised an eyebrow from getting lectured now.

"Well, at least it worked." Raf shrug off to lightly comment the good news.

"So, was that it? Nothing else?" Vogel asked from seeing the vortex fiasco vanished when the device was turn off.

"I'm not sure, it made portals appear and something else came out. I just don't know?" Raf held his chin from feeling a bit uncertain what they witness.

"Ugh, I think the answer is staring us in the face?" Jack looked at something with a shock and worried expression.

That's when something heavy was making a few step sounds to approach from the leftover dust clouds before folks got a chance to see what it looked like. A large, quadrupedal wyvern characterized by its massive head and jaws, powerful limbs and striking yellow/blue striped coloration. The top of its head is tipped with a pair of horn-like ears, and its segmented tail ends with a spiny protrusion. From one person's perspective, the creature was like a mix between a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Tiger. The beast was sniffing the air, as it looking around new turf before noticing the folks nearby: Jack, Miko, Raf, and Vogel.

"Woah, that looks…pretty real?" Vogel raised an eyebrow from staring at a convincing fictional creature.

"I think that's…a Tigrex? I remember them from a video game some friends at school talked about?" Raf lifted his glasses from recognizing and identifying what the creature was.

"Come on guys, it's just some dudes in a costume like a horse." Miko brushed off from everyone getting riled up from someone dressed to impress.

"Miko, I don't think you should…" Jack was about to stop the girl, but she ignored him.

"Heh, good try fellas, but we can tell it's a two person costume. Where's the zipper for…?" Miko approaches to inspect that this was just two guys in a costume and nothing more: but she couldn't find a zipper entry point. "Wow!? Good feature, really put some work into the design, but anyone can tell what's real and what's fake. And you're…" The girl was about to lay the harsh words on what she thought but it was starting to annoy someone listening, so…

"GROOOOUUARRRRRRRRRHHHH!?" The Tigrex roared right out in rage, it's piercing t-rex screech alerted Miko that this…was no act.

"Not Fake!? NOT FAKE!? IT'S REAL!" Miko panicked from shouting with fear in the eyes to realize: she's standing before a dangerous beast.

"GRAAAAurrrghhhh!?" The Tigrex roared as it stares at Miko who decided to turn and run. "CRUSH!" The creature lashed it's powerful claws at debris that went flying: Miko jumped to evade the stuff and crawl backwards to her friends that stared with worry.

"I don't remember anything about real live tigers being used for this?" Vogel exclaimed from thinking this con was getting too real and dangerous.

"Something tells me that's not a tiger in a costume." Miko stated with a worried expression: she was almost a meal for a creature that's really not of this world.

"We gotta go! NOW!" Jack issued to think about this after finding safety which everyone decided to quickly turn and flee.

"GURRAARrhhh…" The Tigrex roared from seeing it's prey escaping and began to chase them near the escalator stairs when… "SMASH!" Something rammed the Tigrex away from it's prey. "CRASH!" And crashed into a nearby wall which some debris buried under the beast and created dust clouds.

"Where that come from?" Raf looked back to notice what occurred that help them out.

"Don't know, but they sure picked a great time to show up." Miko shook her head with signing in relief on a close second.

As the smoke was clearing, what impacted the Tigrex turn out to be some desert buggy. Has pale yellow metal plates protecting all four wheels with spiked wheels, and a dual grenade launchers attach to the front. The compact, durable frame, and had turbo dispensers, plus two brown seaters. The driver turned out to be some kind of human with an athletic build, fair skin, green-blond hair, and blue eyes. Wears a blue tunic with differing shades, beige pants, a steel ring in the center of the chest held up by leather straps, a metal plate on the left shoulder, and goggles. The only other notice besides a well built body, was the strange feature that this guy had pointy elf-like ears. The passenger was even stranger because it was a two-foot-ten-inch-tall mustelid with orange fur and a yellow underbelly. Has claws, whiskers, and paws, typical to a mustelid species. Wears a pair of three-quarter length denim blue shorts with a small hole for the tail. Also wears goggles and aviator's gloves.

"Cough-cough, for crying out loud Jak!? And you say my driving skills need improving?" The orange creature coughs while complaining to his friend. "Hopefully we got insurance for the Dust Demon here?" The guy was playing it by ear to make a little playful joke despite the slight damage to their ride.

"Daxter, before we start thinking repairs, we got a bigger issue on our hands." The elf-eared guy named Jak spoke with a deep manly voice from looking around the area.

"Which is?" The orange creature called Daxter asked what was on his friend's mind.

"Like where the heck are we?" Jak stated on noticing this place seem strange.

"Ugh, don't know? Maybe we took a wrong turn in that escape tunnel?" Daxter raised an eyebrow from thinking the tunnel they were last in brought them here.

"One minute we're out riding in the desert, took a tunnel path to evade a sandstorm, and now we're here. Something doesn't seem right?" Jak narrow his eyes from finding this more stranger by the moment.

"Ohhh….looks like somebody's made merchandise of us?" Daxter leaped off the vehicle to pick up bobbleheads of him and Jak. "Hey, think they got my good side?" The guy asked from tying to make a cool pose.

"BREAK!/GRAAAOORRR!" Suddenly, the Tigrex broke free of it's buried self and roared forth before those that crash into him.

"WAAAahhh!?" Daxter screamed as he ran to climb on top of Jak's shoulder. "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!" The guy cried out in fear, never before seeing a Tigrex in their lifetime.

"Don't know, don't care!" Jak shook his head firmly with a stern face before pulling a weapon in the vehicle: a mini-nuke launcher with purple colored and an entirely gray barrel but most obvious notice was the small rocket mounted on top. "I know what it's gonna be. Getting a fistful of the Super Nova!" Jak declared with a dry and serious tough tone on getting ready to fight.

Soon Jak was firing the Super Nova with the rocket shoot forward to impact an explosive force on the Tigrex as it growls. Then Jak started to run around unleashing rocket shots one after another while Daxter ran to keep up with his friend. While the destructive force of a miniature nuclear weapon's heavy firepower cause a scene, the nearby crowds panicked and fled from the noise. And Jack's group stared from watching these things unfold…

"Anyone else seeing an orange talking otter and an elf kid blasting a weird prehistoric tiger or am I dreaming?" Vogel raised an eyebrow, completely lost by what he's seen.

"You're not. Those guys are video game characters I remember playing before in the past." Jack stated on having some prior knowledge of Jak and Daxter. "But I don't think those are guys in costumes with weapons that real." The guy was not lying, that action and destruction seem too real to be called fake.

"If they were, that be the smallest midget to pull off the look." Miko pointed out how such a costume and adult voice would be for short folks but they never pull off a skinny animal look.

"Maybe not the only one?" Raf stated from looking elsewhere to notice another eye catching event.

Then above the second floor did everyone see another surprise of two strange characters. An anthropomorphic feline resembling a lombax with yellow fur, two large pointy ears with brown stripes, large hands, flat, triangular clawed feet, large green eyes and a tufted tail. The attire normally consists of teal-blue pants, with knee padding, along with brown leather gloves, a chest harness, a belt, an orange, tangerine and teal-blue short-sleeved shirt with brown boots. Next to the strange animal humanoid creature was a diminutive robot made of a grey metallic titanium alloy, with large green circular eyes, a red antenna, and small articulated arms and legs with large three-fingered hands and feet. Contains what appears to be an air vent on the chest. The lombax apparently was 1.5 meters tall while the robot was only 0.75 meters tall.

"Clank, where are we?" The orange feline asked the small tiny robot of their location while pulling out some kind of various melee weapon shaped like a wrench.

"Ratchet, I believe we have stumbled into what apparently is…A hotel convention." The tiny robot named Clank answered his friend's question with a scientific and logical conclusion. "Though I must say, the merchandises are unfamiliar to me?" He picked up some busted merchandise to look compelled about such things not known to them.

"What, cause there's no Agent Clank models?" The feline called Ratchet lightly teased his friend on not having a favorite figure sold in stores.

"That's besides the point." Clank raised an eyebrow to remark that comment. "I'm also detecting many unknown lifeforms." He stated from tapping his head, picking up strange lifeform signals all over.

"Alien lifeforms?" Ratchet asked from knowing what the answer was.

"Alien may not even describe them." Clank stated with a firmly yet puzzled expression: as his answer was hard even for a robot computer brain to understand.

"STOMP-STOMP!" Suddenly loud metallic noises were heard, and they came from…the bottom floor. "BASH!" Then something bashed from beneath the floor and rose up to soar: resembling an emaciated pterodactyl-dragon with glowing yellow eyes and covered in purple scaly skin, wings, a pointed head, a bent neck, and along tail with a bladed tip. "KRRRREEEAAARRRRHHHH!" The large draconic creature had draconic traits physiology because when it roared, it just about shook the entire floor.

"Is THAT Alien enough for you?" Ratchet lectured the little robot for having asked for this sort of trouble.

"Apparently, yes…" Clank simply replied without much consideration to the matter.

"BOOM!" Then something shot a missile that imploded around the alien dragon to glare at who attacked. This one was human size but wore some sort of space-theme Power Suit. The design was entirely golden-yellow, with a blue visor, and ridged shoulders were flat. The notice trait was a default weapon around the right bottom elbow region; resembling a space theme arm cannon. And judging by the smoke coming from the cannon, it was fired recently.

"Remember me Ridley, Samus Aran – Bounty Hunter!" The space suit fighter issued with the right cannon arm aimed while introducing one's self in a female voice. "The one who'll end your terror!" She issued from having the arm cannons begin charging up.

"KRAARRrrhhh!" Ridley roars with rage before flying off with Samus attacking with missile and plasma energy sphere shots which caused explosions.

"Those were Ratchet and Clank?...And Samus and Ridley?" Miko stated on having recognized those that appeared just now. "I played those guys for cool space adventures." Miko explained how she knew those characters from a space game.

"Yeah, and at this rate this whole building might not survive?" Jack stated with a concern expression on his face.

The gang decided to quickly leave the scene as everyone was either distracted or fled in fear. The group were making their way upwards with the DMV Device…

"Not so fast!" Handsome Jack was seen stopping the gang with some MECH Soldiers. "I don't know what's going on, but that device is mine!" He lectured those on handing over what he wants and not caring what cause such problems.

"SPLAT!" Just then, something splattered across Handsome Jack and the MECH Soldiers' faces: it was colorful ink splats. The cause were some kids around the 14 age, one was a girl with orange hair and the other was a blue haired ponytail boy. And they wielded squirt guns that fired paint all over.

"Hahaha!/Wah-hoo!" The colorful kids were laughing, as if having a blast while making a mess and not paying attention.

"Are those…the Inklings?" Raf raised an eyebrow from recognizing such characters.

"Oh right, from that Splatoon game!?" Miko replied from also recalling what those guys do from their game; it's like a paintball war theme.

"Ugh, yuck!? Get this stuff off me. This is a brand new suit?" Handsome Jack tried to brush off the green and blue ink stuff messing his wardrobe.

"And a good distraction, let's go! We can slip through the kitchen!" Vogel issued on where they can go where nobody should look for them.

The kids ran while their enemies were distracted by paint blindness. Some even fell for slippery paint floors as the Inkling kids seem to dive in and reappear from out of nowhere. After the gang enter the kitchen, they were meant with fleaing kitchen staff members.

"Ahhhhh!? Run away!" A chef man was the last escaping the room to pass Jack and Miko. "The Monster!? It Eats EVERYTHING!?" The man cried out before running away to leave Vogel and kids confused.

"I'm almost afraid what sort of monster we have to deal with?" Jack stated with a slightly worried expression on what they might come across.

That's when everyone felt a breeze before noticing a lot of food set to feed a feast was getting sucked into a wide mouth. When it was over and the mouth closed, did everyone get a surprise of who the 'monster' was but reacted different. It was actually a small pink spherical creature with two stubby arms, two red feet and two oval-shaped eyes with black pupils with a faint shade of blue at the bottom.

"Poyo!" The pink ball made a childish hyper pitch voice as if greeting the gang.

"Wow, that little pink puffball ate the entire buffet in less then a few seconds." Vogel exclaimed surprised by what a tiny body can do to pack away so much and not be bloated.

"Aww, he's actually kinda adorable…when you get pass that powerful vacuum he does when eating." Miko clapped her hands from thinking the pink little guy had an adorable streak.

"Wait a second, I recognize him from a handheld game I played." Raf spoke up from tilting his glasses to recognize this character. "That's Kirby." He mention the name of the character that was pink.

"Kirby-Kirby!" The pink puffball happily jumped about, happy to hear his name.

"Okay, nice to meet you...Kirby. We'll just let you enjoy yourself." Jack lightly smile to think this guy was harmless enough. "We need to find another way out Vogel, any thoughts?" The guy turns to Vogel for having told them to come to the kitchen area to evade their pursuers.

"I been too this kitchen before when their power lines for an underground generator in the tunnel was wonky. That's cause the staff use it for a special service elevator from the bottom up to the 59 floor." Vogel issued from knowing there's a special elevator they can use to getaway without being seen.

"You sure we can't take the stairs?" Jack raised an eyebrow, but Vogel shook his head no for that. "Oh right, 59 floors…that probably would be worse when carrying a heavy alien device." The guy realized they are limited on saving as much energy to escape without tiring themselves out.

"Great, then let's go and maybe we can call Agent Fowler to bring in a helicopter." Miko cheered from liking where this plan is going.

"Oh boy, bad news…" Vogel went to check the special elevator, but they got a problem. "The elevator is blocked by debris, it take hours to clear out." As the guy said, apparently the fiasco event when the DMV Device went off, some freak accident caused debris above to block the elevator.

"And by then MECH will be on us, or something far worse?" Jack felt concern in knowing they are caught between a rock and a hard place.

"Wait! Maybe Kirby can help, I played his character and he can suck a lot of things." Raf suggest someone here that is a friendly character that can help them out.

"Hey little guy, wanna little treat." Miko kneels down to wave out a chocolate bar before Kirby.

"Ooohh?" Kirby looked mesmerized by the chocolate treat.

"All you gotta do is make us a clear path, and this is yours. Deal?" Miko offered a sweet deal if Kirby helps them, he can enjoy a sweet candy bar.

"Poyo!" Kirby happily waved his arms, eager to help out.

Then Kirby did a little wiggle of the feet, before bouncing forth and opened his mouth to begin sucking things up. The debris were moving as if they were lightweight before Kirby's suction power, and it wasn't long before the pink ball closed his mouth when the debris was cleared of the elevator. Everyone soon got aboard the elevator afterwards while waving bye-bye to Kirby happily snacking on what Miko gave him. After that, Jack pressed the top floor button on where they want to go.

"Going Up." A female voice announced from the elevator's system. "Doors Closing." It announced just as the doors closed and everyone was riding the elevator upwards.

"So what can we expect further up?" Miko asked from not knowing what they could run into while running.

"Worse possibility…more MECH Soldiers and whatever else is running loose from the DMV's action." Jack lightly stated with a serious tone of what too expect at this rate. "Then again, things haven't been easy from the start." The guy knew that with MECH around and the other crazy things that happen, anything else could be bad…

"Ding-Ding!" Just then everyone yelped from a ring tone just now. "10th Floor….Doors Opening." The system voice reveal the arrived floor that was not the gang's destination.

"Guys…" Raf yelped when the doors opened to reveal…MECH Soldiers.

"Hugh! It's them!" One MECH Soldier yelped upon spotting the kids, Vogel and the artifact.

"Surrender or we'll open fire!" The Second NECH Soldier issued what they do if face with resistance.

Caught within an elevator and with weapons pointed at them, the group did not know how to get out of this. That is until something was standing behind the MECH Soldiers to notice a shadow overlapping them. Turns out it was a tall species of a furry humanoid, who's height was close to three meters tall over grown male. Covered from head to toe in a thick, shaggy coat of hair in shades of brown. Has grown a long beard in reaching adulthood. Weighs probably 150 kilograms, and have brown color eyes. Strap around the left shoulders across the body was some holster pack and attach to the back was some kind of custom bowcaster type of weapon resembling a crossbow but more advance like a space theme weapon.

"What the heck is that?" One MECH Soldier asked completely stump upon seeing such a beast.

"Shoot it!" The Second MECH Soldier panicked to order they attack without a second thought.

"Grruu-GOOoarrrh!?" The furry humanoid growled before using his arms to grab and lift the two soldiers up with surprising strength.

"CLASH!/Uuugh!?" The MECH Soldiers were knock out from their impact of noggins before tossed across the hallways.

"Waarrrwaar-Aaarrgh…" The furry humanoid roared off like it was saying something to the folks in the elevator who were surprised by it's…helpful stature.

"Yo, is that bigfoot who helped us?" Vogel asked from thinking this was a rare sight.

"I think that's a Wookie, base on what he's wearing I guess…Chewbacca. Right?" Raf replied from tilting his glasses to smile from recalling this space creature.

"Wooorrrhh…" The known Wookie called Chewbacca replied from hearing it's name.

"Sorry, Chewy…" Raf corrects himself from having heard what the furry Wookie said. "Wow…well thank you for the save." Raf replied with an eager smile to thank Chewy for the help.

"Wooorrgh-Woorgh-Warrrrgh…" The Wookie made a reply before heading down the hallway while leaving the gang to absorb what happen.

"Okay, wasn't expecting that. Anymore then learning Raf speaks Wookie?" Miko scratch her head from finding this all so surprising. "Think anyone knows we're here?" She asked from looking at the knock out MECH Soldiers.

"Maybe they were knocked out before they could warn other MECH members?" Raf tried to think positive if their luck was strong.

"Considering they were facing a hairy creature like that, I'm not surprised." Jack shook his firm head that one surprise after another, can lead to more unexpected events.

"Going Up." The female voice announced the continue motion in the elevator. "Doors Closing." With that final announcement, the doors closed and the elevator was moving up.

"I hate to be a downer, but anyone else think it might stop again?" Vogel asked if the elevator may stop like before.

"Well it's not like people use the stairs sometimes when an elevator seems more convenient." Jack tried to state how folks like taking elevators then stairs in tall buildings.

"Well let's hope that if we stop, hopefully it's not more MECH at the door." Miko stated on hoping they don't meet more trouble like before.

"Ding-Ding!" Just then another ring tone was heard like before. "20th Floor…Doors Opening." The female voice announced at the next stop destination.

"That didn't take long?" Raf yelps as the doors opened to reveal more MECH Soldiers in the waiting.

"Hugh?" One MECH Soldier yelped from seeing the doors opened with people inside.

"How they get pass the units below?" The Second MECH Soldier protest on how the troops below were not able to stop these guys.

"Don't ask, just aim at them." The Third MECH Soldier issued to take aim before anything else happens.

"Quick! Use that thing like a shield!" Miko instructs Vogel to use the large DMV dics for protection.

"Wait, we don't know what that could do?" Jack warns that if anything damages the Transformer artifact, what they witness could cause a whole lot worse things.

Vogel quickly moved the DMV Device to protect him and the kids as the MECH Soldiers closed in on the seal cornered prey.

"SLASH-SLASH, SLASH!/UUuuaghhh!?" The three MECH Soldiers made yelp cries when something delivered red cut blows against their backsides to drop down unconscious.

"Ugh, what happened?" Vogel raised an eyebrow, uncertain what happen now.

"I think someone took them down?" Raf stated surprise but an invisible helper that saved them.

"Who could move that fast?" Jack raised an eyebrow with suspicious, anything moving that fast is beyond the human eye's capabilities of tracking.

"That would be me." A male voice is heard that surprised the others before instantly appearing over the defeated MECH Soldiers; almost like a ninja with the arms crossed. A male human almost 20 years old, brown wind-blown style hair, and had brown color eyes. Wears a purple, sleeveless suit of a Strider's traditional uniform, with the shirt and pants separated by a large red sash and a loose-fitting metallic belt with several pouches. The ankles and wrists are wrapped in white cloth and wears purple tabi shoes. Wears a long, red scarf wrapped around the mouth and extending to the back, almost looking like a cape.

"OMG, your Strider Hiryu! A freelance mercenary with crazy ninja-like spy abilities?" Miko gasped with excitement to smile at seeing such a legend.

"How do you know about Strider?" The one known as Strider Hiryu raised an eyebrow after hearing Miko talk like she knew him.

"Ah…she's good at gathering intel." Jack quickly covered Miko's excited mouth to give a short and believable answer. "Thanks for the help." Jack thanks the guy for helping them out in that spot.

Then without muttering another word, Strider Hiryu vanished without a trace. This left a good impression for everyone that saw that.

"Going up." The female voice announced the progress for the elevator. "Doors closing." With that last message said, the doors closed and the elevator was going upwards.

"Few, let's hope it's straight on up to the top now." Miko signs to recover what happen that they got through.

"Funny how it seems we keep getting waylaid, ain't it?" Vogel asked anyone else that finds these stops a bit strange.

"Well if anyone wants to take the stairs instead…" Jack asked if anyone wants to carry the large disc by numbers of stairs.

"Now that you mention it…no." Miko simply look to Jack to give a plain statement not to take stairs.

"Okay, fare enough. Anybody else feel like the things we seen are…strange?" Jack asked the next that was on everyone's mind now.

"Ding-Ding!" Another ring tone was heard that alarm everyone. "30th Floor…Doors Opening." The female voice announced another floor that they will stop at.

"Oh boy…This could be more trouble." Raf yelps from thinking it's more MECH Soldiers waiting.

Everyone was getting themselves ready, uncertain what troubles awaited them. But as the doors opened, what almost came aboard turn out to be…weird? It was a short 2D silhouette character resembling a stick figure with realistically proportioned human-like features. But the only features he does not represent are eyes and ears, and the body is shaped like a teardrop, which is wider and bulker compared to a stick figure, along with a large and straight nose. Occasionally, portrayed as 3D and the mouth can be seen white on the inside. The entire body is black with a dark/light gray outline, and is typically portrayed with an alarm bell. Is typically depicted with circular stubs for hands but is depicted with realistic hands at certain points. Even though has no visible eyes and no ears, he still has eyesight and sense of hearing.

"Ugh, hello?" Miko sheepishly replied to the little black guy looking to squeeze in. "Sorry, we're kinda…in a hurry at the moment?" She apologized while thinking what this character wanted.

"What is that thing?" Vogel asked from not knowing what kind of character was 2D.

"Mr. Game & Watch…?" Raf stated on who the character was as Mr. Game & Watch made bell-like beep sounds. "He says sorry, and that'll he'll take the stairs." Raf looked to the others to explain what this guy said.

"You understand him?" Jack looked surprised at how well Raf could understand such techno noises.

"I guess Raf has a unique gift for techno beep sounds." Miko shrug off to admit that Raf is one in a million to understand beep and boop computer stuff.

"Going Up…" The female voice announced as Mr. Game & Watch gave little bell sounds and waved goodbye. "Doors Closing…" With that message said, the doors closed and the elevator was going up.

"So ugh, is that suppose to be normal to find something that flat?" Vogel asked from thinking that was no costume to be so 2-dimensional.

"Well it is a 2-D character from a game." Raf stated on thinking that Mr. Game & Watch came from his actual game series.

"Isn't this becoming odd that so far we been running into things from games to TV shows and Movies?" Jack ponders to think there was too much strangeness of what they seen that it's not normal.

"Well it's not all bad, right?" Miko shrug off her arms to think positive about this.

"Ding-Ding!" Then the elevator made a bell sound once again to alert the gang. "40th Floor…Doors Opening." The female voice announced once more the next elevator stop.

"So ugh…Who's gonna be next?" Vogel asked from not sure who might be coming on.

"Either something good or something bad?" Jack stated from thinking it's one thing or the other at this rate.

When the elevator opened up, the gang saw who was waiting to enter. Turn out to be a man somewhere in his 35s of years, wears a black suit jacket, a white buttoned shirt, green slacks, and brown shoes. Has a camera that's hung around the neck.

"Look I keep telling you who I am? I'm Frank West, Freelance Photojournalist." The man explained as he was on the phone talking to someone while getting in without noticing the others. "Nobody by that name in your data base, ouch, that hurts?" The guy felt hurt by such comments.

"Frank West…?" Raf replied surprised when he heard that character's name.

"Look…I was looking for the scoop of a lifetime, then I find myself here." Frank West explains his story on the phone for those listening. "Not only are there undead zombies but a bunch of other crazy stuff like aliens, monsters, you name it." The guy was bringing up the works of crazy stuff happening.

"Going Up…" The elevator announced that it will continue it's course. "Doors Closing…" With that final announcement, the doors closed and the elevator went upwards again.

"No, I'm not yanking your chain here. It's at someplace called New York Marriot Marquis Hotel." Frank West tries to explain and gave a specific location of where it's at. "What, it's just a convention and people in costumes?" The guy replied as if it's sounding like a big joke. "Do you think I can't tell a fake from the real thing? You think I'm on drugs!? Is that it? Hugh?!" The guy was pushing it so much, that the phone made beeping sounds. "Hello? Hello…Operator?" The guy called in but he got no response. "Dang, hang up? Well maybe I can investigate that plane crash with those talking mask cat men?" The guy stated on trying to bounce back after this little setback.

Once the doors opened the kids saw they arrived at the 45th Floor, and Frank West got off to chase a story. Afterwards the doors closed and the elevator continued going upwards.

"That was definitely Frank West, from that game about zombies." Raf mentions this to the others on recognizing Frank.

"Woah, you think maybe there's zombie molemen to worry about?" Vogel asked from thinking that be as crazy as metal molemen.

"If everything that's happen so far hasn't surprised us, I don't know what else would." Jack rubs his back head from thinking everything so far has been nothing but weird.

"Ding-Ding!" And just like before, the elevator made another announcement after the bell. "59th Floor…Doors Opening." The female voice announced on arriving at it's destination.

"Seriously, who's it next? It's our floor stop?" Miko asked from thinking if it's another meeting event.

"Maybe it's no one. We have gone up a long way." Raf tried to think nobody would have made it up as fast as them having taken the elevator.

"Okay Vogel, is the rooftop close?" Jack asked the big man on how close they are.

"Yeah, just follow down the hall and we can take the few steps." Vogel points out which direction they gotta go to get to the roof.

The doors opened to allow the gang a sneak peak to find no one was in the hallway. Jack, Miko and Raf went out first with Vogel following to carry the DMV Device on his back. The next hallway entrance lead to some stairs, the gang began to move…until something appeared from the room doors near the stairs to the rooftop: MECH Soldiers.

"What the?" Jack yelped upon seeing MECH Soldiers showing out of nowhere.

"Going somewhere?" Then entering the scene was Handsome Jack walking out from a different elevator located by the stairs to the roof.

"Ugh, you again?" Miko slapped her forehead to see this creepo again.

"That's right, thought you could give us the slip. Too bad these guys told me of you going up, so we took the second elevator." Handsome Jack grins to boast about having heard word where the troublemakers were going. "And I inform the others to keep guest from interrupting, so we could beat you here." He revealed that they were two steps ahead of these kids.

"Did anyone every tell you that this much chasing is a clear obsession?" Vogel raised an eyebrow to quite such an unhealthy attitude leads to problems.

"You folks don't know what you're dealing with. I have weapons and what do you have?" Handsome Jack exclaimed to wave out the weapons he and his soldiers got to say otherwise.

"Well, ugh…" Miko tried to think of something; then saw a wheel cart with a serving pan covering something. "We got this!" Miko took the serving metal pan and plate to throw them while dropping carrots in the procress.

"CLANK!" Too bad the attack was knock off by the MECH Soldiers weapons to block the metallic plate wear. "Ahahah, a dinner plate? Really?" Handsome Jack covered his face, unable to contain the urge to laugh. "Well, looks like the last thing you'll see before meeting your end, are some nice juicy carrots." He issued from seeing what'll be the last thing these kids see are vegetables.

Things didn't look good at the time, but then someone just came walking into a fire fight to pick up…some carrots. It was actually an anthropomorphic gray and white rabbit no taller then near adult peoples' legs by maybe 3 feet tall but 4-feet if counting the ears.

"Ehhh, chew-chew…what's up doc.?" The rabbit was eating a carrot while casually asking what's happening to everyone around.

"Wait, is that…" Jack looked surprised, rub his eyes to check again. "Bugs Bunny?" The guy said the name from having known this strange looney rabbit.

"You expecting Mark Newton?" The rabbit known as Bugs Bunny shrug off to make a funny joke.

"This is silly, out of the way rabbit! Or it's open rabbit season for you." Handsome Jack rolled his eyes while aiming his tech rifle to threat Bugs Bunny to get out of sight of his targets with the stolen Transformer artifact.

"Sorry doc., but you need to check today's calendar date." Bugs Bunny simply smiled to push the weapon away with his free index finger. "It ain't rabbit season, it's duck season." The rabbit corrected of what today's hunting animal was suppose to be.

"JUST A DARN MINUTE!" Then another male voice was heard speaking out to march down the hallway: another anthropomorphic that was 31/2-feet tall but was black duck with yellow web feet, beak and a white stripe around the neck.

"And who are you suppose to be, some kind of daffy duck?" Handsome Jack raised an eyebrow in seeing another weirdo thing showed up with the rabbit.

"As a matter of fact, Daffy Duck is my name, thank you." The black duck also introduced himself as Daffy Duck with thankful grace. "And you shouldn't listen to this LONG-EAR RABBIT!" He points with anger at Bugs Bunny for what he said earlier. "It's actually rabbit season!" The duck issued for what today's hunting prey was not duck but rabbit.

"Duck Season!" Bugs Bunny proclaim to say.

"Rabbit Season!" Daffy Duck snapped to demand his way.

"Duck Season!" Bugs Bunny spoke again as MECH watch this argument.

"Rabbit Season!" Daffy Duck shouted again as even the others watch this silly act.

"Um, should we…" Vogel was about to interject until Raf cut him off quietly.

"Hold on, I think I see where this is going." Raf silently whispered to Vogel, Jack and Miko during the commotion. "We can use this to slip under their radar." The boy had another good idea, one that could work.

"Well, guess seeing two cartoon characters argue in real life would earn a lot of attention." Miko smiled from liking Raf's thinking, who could ignore those looney characters act.

"RABBIT SEASON!" Daffy Duck yelled out as Jack, Miko, Raf and Vogel press against a wall while MECH watch the argument unfold.

"Rabbit Season!" Bugs Bunny gave a secret eyebrow signal when changing his argument.

"Duck Season!" Daffy Duck shouted without realizing what occurred.

"Rabbit Season!" Bugs Bunny boldly stated this as Jack's group almost got pass the distracted MECH Soldiers.

"DUCK SEASON!" Daffy Duck yelled out loud as Handsome Jack and the soldiers continued watching this tom-foolery.

"Rabbit Season!" Bugs Bunny stated once again just as Jack, Miko, Raf and Vogel safely made it through without getting caught.

"I say it's DUCK SEASON! And I order you MEN to OPEN FIRE!" Daffy Duck argues and protest against Bugs' words, and ordered the soldiers to fire at the prime target.

"BANG!" Too bad the MECH Soldiers were so caught up in the gag, they literally shot their advance rifle blasters…at Daffy Duck: making him look like smoking charcoal duck frame.

"Don't listen to him you Brainless Oafs! He's not the TARGET!" Handsome Jack turns to argue at those that were so foolish to attack without his command.

"But he said to fire on him?" One MECH Soldier admitted that they couldn't help by follow along; it's real confusing.

"Heheheh, wha a couple of Maroons." Bugs Bunny laughs off at the sight of poor suckers falling for the easiest gag while chomping on another carrot beside Daffy.

"Your…Despicable!?" Daffy Duck remarked in fury Bugs Bunny before his body scatter into a dust pile; which the rabbit scooped up to leave the scene.

"Hugh?" Handsome Jack suddenly noticed that something was not right; the targets were not in front but behind them. "They're getting away!" He shouted as the gang saw it's no time for sneaking, as they ran. "Give me that!" He took a bazooka from a soldier to aim at the kids and big man with the DMV Device. "POW!" He opened fire without warning, aiming at those running up the stairs.

"KABOOM!" The bazooka missile exploded directly at the bottom stairs that caused structural damage to what was a spiral stairway.

"Waaahh?" Raf yelped from a broken board that he fell behind those with longer legs.

"Raf!?" Miko looked back when hearing Raf's cry but dust and smoke blocked her vision.

"Vogel, you keep going. We'll catch up." Jack looked to the big black man to give them time to get their friend.

"Alright, but if you're late I'll come back." Vogel replied from knowing if he don't see them to come back to find what happen.

"Ooohhh…what happen?" Raf was seen on the stairs groaning from what happen while getting himself together.

"Raf!?/Raf!" Jack and Miko were calling out to their friend but all they saw was so much smoke.

"Jack! Miko!? I hear but can't see you?" Raf called out to try to navigate his way by feeling his surroundings. "Keep calling, I'll try to reach you." He replied back to assure his friends he find them.

Raf listened closely to the voices of Jack and Miko, there was so much smoke that he had to move slowly until the clouds dissipated. But that take too much time, and Handsome Jack and MECH would catch up to them if they were too slow. Yet there's no telling which steps are safe and which are broken to give weight from damage. While moving along, Raf spotted a fallen wall lamp on the ground that.

"Hugh, what's this fallen lamp here doing? Maybe it got blown off from near the entrance?" Raf bends down to pick the lamp up to figure how this can help him. "Wait, it's glowing? But how?" The boy nearly yelped from seeing light flicker in the glass case.

Raf inspects the lamp light only to discover that it was not an electrical bulb, it reacted almost like a ball of light. Raf was a bit stump, thought it was a firefly but it's glow suggest it's not a lot but one bright creature. It seem to flicker backwards when the boy stared at it.

"Hey-hey, easy there. I won't hurt you." Raf gently spoke before he found the door compartment; to open it up. "There you go. You're free." Raf smiled to help the little light out from being trapped.

The little yellow ball of light flew off around Raf as if showing happiness and joy at being freed. Then in a surprise moment, the yellow ball of light swirl around to which Raf followed before the smoke cleared, the light quickly vamoose. And as Raf went up the stairs saw the clouds vanish and meant with his friends calling him before they finally notice the boy.

"Raf!?" Miko smiled to happily hug the little guy. "You made it." She was happy that the little genius managed to reach them in time.

"What took you so long kid?" Jack raise an eyebrow to ask, they called but heard no response.

"I…stop to help someone." Raf smiled to honestly say what happen in the shortest brief.

"Really, how? Aren't we the only ones here?" Miko raised an eyebrow, puzzled by that claim.

"Tell us later, we gotta get going." Jack issued from deciding to put that topic on hold for now.

AFTERWARDS

ON THE ROOFTOP

The kids managed to reach the exit of the stairs leading to the rooftop. When they arrived, they found Vogel having reach what appears to be a fire escape stair path.

"Hey you made it. Great." Vogel smiled from seeing the kids made it through alright. "Okay, I found an emergency fire escape. We can getaway if your helicopter escape plan is a no show." The guy mentions this as a step up plan process.

"Didn't we just talk about how hard it was for stairs?" Miko raised an eyebrow when learning about their choice of escape. "If we wanted to avoid them, why didn't we take the underground tunnel?" The girl made a good point, they could have escape by underground the whole time.

"Right, forgot to mention the tunnel under the building was closed off, and I don't have a key. But on the bright side, going down is easy, it's going up that's hard." Vogel rubbed his back head to apologize for forgetting to mention things during the heat of the moment.

"Well we can call Agent Fowler while slipping away." Jack stated on thinking it can provide some cover chance.

"Yep, that's the idea, so come on. We can take this without being seen." Vogel insisted to the kids that this emergency fire escape was their best chance.

"I think not!" Then everyone turns to find who called out to them, and they spread out like a crescent row of soldiers with aim weapons. "Surprise!" Handsome Jack soon comes out to make his grand entrance with a sly grin.

The gang didn't expect the enemy to get pass the damage stairs to the rooftop so quickly. They were getting ready to attack when, there was a party horn sound before all eyes turn to something that pop out of nowhere. An average size horse-like female pony with a body fur made up almost entirely of the color pink, main color a light pink whereas it's style like cotton candy mane and tail hold a darker hue of the same color. The eyes are an innocent light blue, and on the flank was three-party balloons: two yellow and one blue.

"DID SOMEPONY SAY SURPRISE!?" The pink pony cheerfully asked those when she heard the secret word.

"What the…?" Handsome Jack yelped from not knowing what's happening, now some goofy little cartoon horse makes an appearance.

"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! I'm a Party Expert, and here to welcome you!" The pink pony introduced herself with a happy, cheery, jolly and good attitude. "Heheheh….In SONG!" She laughed happily while announcing this surprise addition.

Then the pink pony suddenly brought out a strange contraption wagon that revealed musical horns, waving flags, even a microwave dessert counter of cupcakes and pies. That's when Pinkie Pie began to dance, blow horns, put up party hats on the MECH Soldiers and bang a drum around: which was annoying one man in particular.

Pinkie Pie: Welcome welcome welcome

A fine welcome to you

Welcome welcome welcome

I say how do you do?

Welcome welcome welcome

I say hip hip hurray

"Ahhhhh, as if I haven't been annoyed to death by these extra annoyances!?" Handsome Jack clutched his head from not handling one more second of these weird characters. "Give me that!" Then he took a gatling gun one of the MECH Soldiers had before activating it.

Pinkie Pie: Welcome welcome welcome

"Bangbangbangbang…." But the pony's melody was cut off and her wagon was destroyed. "Ah-Oh-Eh-Ahh…" Pinkie Pie yelps from dancing her little hooves to dodge the incoming shot rounds.

"Hahahahaahhhh…." Handsome Jack laughs off with an evil expression: feeling a boiling rage unleashed that can't be contain.

Pinkie Pie was bouncing and running from the shots, and Jack, Miko, Raf and Vogel watch the cruel action of one man going crazy just cause he lost his cool.

"HEY! LEAVE HER ALONE!" Miko yelled out in rage that someone was shooting a poor pony.

Course that did cause Handsome Jack to cease attacking Pinkie Pie, and turn his focus…towards those that had his Transformers Artifact.

"Um, would it help if we said...please?" Vogel lightly asked from seeing they called attention to themselves.

"Yeah, bad call Miko?" Jack stated to a stump Miko for having open her mouth without warning.

"You kids have crossed the line! But I have good news and bad news for you." Handsome Jack spoke up on having something to say to these folks. "Good news is, that device you're carrying is made to be extremely durable so it won't get damaged." The guy pointed to the DMV Device that it can survive things even if it's drop from a few feet, a hundred feet drop, and take some beatings.

"Um, what's the bad news?" Jack raised an eyebrow from not liking where this was going.

"Bad news…you aren't….and it's a long way down." Handsome Jack stated as he takes the gatling gun to aim which made the kids and Vogel worried.

"HEY!" Pinkie Pie pops in front of Handsome Jack with a frowny face. "A party is suppose to be fun for everyone! So…" Then she disappeared a second later in a puff of cloud and came back with something. "I got you!" She issued from aiming a tiny blue cannon before Handsome JACKL and the MECH Soldiers.

"Waaaah!? SHE'S GOT A CANNON!?" One MECH Soldier screamed, fearful that a crazy pony will blow them up.

"You Idiots!? We all got weapons!" Handsome Jack remarked at the soldiers for forgetting they are well-armed.

"Yeaaaaah!" The MECH Soldiers cheered from recalling that fact to wield their weapons.

"True, but why fight fire with fire, when you can fight with…confetti!" Pinkie Pie issued from getting her serious face on. "IT'S PARTY TIME!" Pinkie Pie cheered loudly in an exciting voice.

Then Pinkie Pie pulled the string which made her cannon fire a cloud of streamers and confetti all over MECH's side.

"AAahhh…I CAN'T SEE!?/TOO MUCH COLOR?!" Some MECH Soldiers were unable to see with stuff blocking their goggle eyes.

MECH Soldiers were firing randomly, uncertain what they can hit or not. The reckless action of energy blast and missiles destroyed portions of the rooftop. At the same time, the kids and Vogel used the distraction to escape on the fire escape. Too bad the explosive actions above weaken the structure of the emergency fire escape stairs.

"Wooooahhh….?" Vogel yelped from gripping the handles and holding the heavy DMV Device from pulling him over the edge.

"The wild attacks must have cause structural damage. This fire escape won't hold on." Jack stated from realizing the situation was out of hand.

"Well going back up is not possible?" Vogel stated they can't go back, those MECH guys will catch them.

"Anybody else got any ideas to save us from plunging to our dooms?" Miko asked from seeing zero options on going back or going forward that share risk.

While this was going on, something was seen moving in the air to approach those in trouble. It was the strange little yellow ball of light that Raf found and help when it was trap in a lamp. Everyone saw the ball of light, but didn't know what to make of it. Then in a flash, the little yellow ball of light revealed it's true appearance. A short fairy with a warm complexion, round blue eyes and blonde hair that's tied up into a neat bun. Her outfit is a green dress made of leaves and has a cotton ball on each of the shoes.

"Yo, what is that?" Vogel raised an eyebrow, uncertain what they were seeing.

Soon the fairy was speaking but the only bell sounds were heard. While Miko, Jack and Vogel had a hard time understanding, Raf seem to catch on.

"Her name's…Tinkerbell." Raf spoke from understanding the fairy who introduced herself. "Guys, she says she can help us." Raf turns to inform the gang that Tinkerbell wanted to help them out.

"Not to question her willing effort, but how?" Jack asked from not sure one little fairy can help them; especially as the fire escape was weakening and they can barely hold on.

Tinkerbell saw the danger that the group was facing, then tried to explain things to Raf. Everyone could only hear bell sounds, but Raf seem capable of following the fairy's speech.

"She says that she's a magic fairy, a little pixie dust and it can help us fly." Raf explained what Tinkerbell wanted to say and had a plan to help them out of this mess. "But there's a catch, we have to believe or the magic won't work." The little genius boy pointed out a loop hole on how the magic pixie dust works.

"We can actually fly!?" Miko asked with a widen smile after hearing that.

"Not to sound doubtful, but is that our only option?" Jack asked from having a hard time believing that fairy magic can save them.

Course the fire escape began to break further apart from the main building, the damage from above has gotten worse. Everyone held onto the rails, but it stopped while briefly giving them a view of their height of the pavement below.

"Scratch that kid! It's either die believing in a fairy tale or die from going splat on New York pavement." Vogel stated from knowing it's either sink or swim, they ain't got no other choice.

"Okay, what do we got to lose?" Jack shrug off the shoulders from realizing their options are narrow down.

"Okay Raf, we're ready!" Miko eagerly said, awaiting for the magic to happen.

Soon Tinkerbell began to fly over the group spreading golden dust on their bodies. At that moment the emergency fire escape rail steps broke off, as the four screamed as they were falling. But as they had their eyes closed, it didn't feel like they were moving at all. Raf was the first to open his eyes and find he and the rest were glowing from the golden pixie dust, and help maintain themselves in the air.

"Is it over? Did we go splat?" Vogel asked from keeping his eyes closed, expecting the worse.

"No….look!" Raf spoke up with high spirit as everyone's eyes saw they were hovering. "Guys! We can fly!" He issued as he began to fly off to display the new sensation.

"We can fly!?" Jack asked from almost finding this too shocking, but excited at the same time.

"WE CAN FLY!" Miko cheered loudly as she was soaring in the air happily to spin around. "Aw yeah! This is the best!" The girl was all pumped up, the feeling of flying was a new experience.

"Thank you Tinkerbell, I guess big things really do come in small packages." Raf turns to thank Tinkerbell for giving them this chance.

That's when Tinkerbell said something, but only some bell sounds were heard. But Raf was able to translate what the fairy was saying by bell code and turn to the others slowly getting use to their flying state.

"She says that as long as the pixie dust is active we can fly, but it'll wear off. We should probably land somewhere." Raf explained what Tinkerbell inform the group and they shouldn't waste too much time

"I know where my vehicle is. I'll show you, it's a few parking spots away from here." Vogel stated on showing where he parked.

"Maybe while we're at it….let's enjoy the ride!" Miko smiled to fly with her arms behind her back.

"Woah, slow down Miko!" Jack alerted to have the girl pay attention to where she was going; after all, they are not use to flying even if it's not an air board vehicle but by magic.

While this was going on that the gang was getting use to their flying from magic pixie dust, something was flying through the air. It turn out to be three-engine, two-seat black fighter jet with red and blue color themes which resembled several different jet fighters, most notably the Grumman F-14 and the Saab Draken. And inside the plane apparently were anthropomorphic felines wearing blue, red and black theme pilot uniforms and helmets with black mask covers. The male pilot was more brawny and heavy, fur is yellowish tan with rusty red stripes on the arms. The guy in the back acting as co-pilot was skinny, normal and average size, fur is golden brown. As these cats were flying through the skies, one of them spotted those flying without the aid of a vehicle.

"Hey T-Bone, look out there? There's some weird creatures flying without wings." The cat guy in the back pointed out what he saw from the left side of their plane which was strange.

"Hah, nice try Razor. That's about as funny as when we eject and we crash into a building upside-down and had to climb up stairs to get back." The cat in the pilot seat replied with a tough tone and thought his co-pilot was making something up to tease him.

"But I'm telling the truth!" Razor stated from not lying about this one.

"If that's true, then dinner's on me." T-Bone issued from not believing it: until they saw those four fly pass them carrying a heavy disc. "WHAT THE?!" T-Bone yelped to pull the plane up to evade a collision contact. "Did you see that?" The guy asked Razor from seeing what he just saw was real.

"Sorry, I couldn't hear over my stomach growling. What's for dinner, you're buying?" Razor made a sly smile from knowing he was right, and won a bet easily.

"Tch, next time I make a bet, I'll make sure the answer is right or wrong before answering." T-Bone grumbled under his breath, wishing he knew ahead of time before making a bet he lose.

"Well that's gonna be some tall tale everyone will hear from the SWAT Kats latest exploration into new unmark skies. Just as…soon as our radar can figure out where we are?" Razor smiled from sounding excited at first, but then had a problem with their system's guidance.

"Great, then how's about pipping down and help me figure out where do we go from here? The Turbokat just got unstuck and we had to go from that weird snoopy reporter." T-Bone remarked from what they already been through, not to mention having left the scene when their plane was stuck in a building and almost got a report on them: probably was Frank West.

Soon the jet fighter called the Turbokat ignited it's engines to blast off to leave the scene. And back around the rooftop, MECH Soldiers finally cease attacking while Handsome Jack seem irritated.

"Hack this building's security system." Handsome Jack turns to the MECH Troopers near him with this order. "We're gonna find out who took that device." He firmly issued on trying to find those that ran off with their prize. "If they think they can pull the wool over Handsome Jack and his contract buddies from MECH, they got another thing coming." The guy was being dead serious, no one messes up one of his deals and gets away with it.

The MECH Soldiers tried to slowly go back down the stairs while Handsome Jack followed behind. There was already some crazy stuff happening with loud animal and beast cries followed by weapons fired of flashing lights and explosions. And there were many unknown shadowy features that either were inside the hotel or escaped, either by foot, air, water, or some vehicle of transportation. Everything was so crazy no one had time to think if what was non-real is real now. This was just the beginning of unknown things coming into one's own world of existence…and it may not be over yet…
