Okay I've managed to get some time to work around the next chapter. So it'll have a few new surprise CROSSOVER characters I've looked over to have appear for the theme today. I hope everyone looks forward to it, and for when the next chapters may have a few other surprises. Until then, enjoy…
Chapter 07: Cross Match Teams – Part 2
SOMEWHERE
ON THE ROAD
The scene opens to where a vehicle was driving on a highway leading in Nevada. But the vehicle was a blue van with yellow flames, and on the side parts had a blue masked raccoon on it. This was none other then the famous Cooper Van, own by the Cooper Gang themselves. In fact as one zooms inside, one can spot Murray driving while Bentley works on the computer setup. And Sly road in the passenger side, while Tracer sat in the back with Jack plus Tinkerbell sat on the human boy's shoulder.
"So kid, how you handling things so far?" Sly smiled to check up on how Jack was handling himself.
"Well to tell the truth, I'm actually surprised at where I'm at?" Jack stated on being completely honest from his opinion. "I mean, I'm riding in a van with some…colorful characters?" Jack looked around and it's clear as day…he sorta sticks out from the rest.
"Aw stop it, no need to be shy." Tracer gently pats Jack's backside to ease the tension.
"Actually, I think he has every right to be concern." Bentley stated on realizing Jack isn't that far off.
"Why's that Bentley?" Murray asked puzzled while still driving the van.
"Well for starters, everyone here is different. We're animals…" Bentley stated to explain how he, Murray and Sly are animal types. "They're not animals, and resemble what we never had from our world which were creatures that resemble human-like structure.…" He explained the next part on the scientific evidence on how they are completely different species.
Then Tinkerbell was seen flying around Bentley, and made some loud bell noises as if firmly making an argument.
"Ugh Bentley, I think you forgot to mention one is a fairy?" Murray issued on realizing what may have upset the little fairy.
"Easy there Miss Bell, we're all just trying to get use to another." Sly spoke to try and easily calm the fairy from being a little sensitive.
"As much as I like getting to know you guys, we still have a job to do." Jack stated on knowing they best save this topic for later.
"Right, finding one of those Chaos Emeralds, which is why our team is heading towards…" Tracer was about to say this proudly, but stopped short… "Um, where exactly?" She asked from not precisely knowing where they are heading.
"Well according to my instruments, the distortion of a Chaos Emerald uniquely different from this world's energy source or even the alien type of Energon…is just 2 miles from where Murray is driving on the path." Bentley issued on having worked the system on his computer to determine they are almost in reach of their destination.
"Okay, so we find it and get back. What could go wrong?" Jack lightly smiled on thinking maybe this mission won't be so bad.
"Ugh, guys….we got a problem?" Murray spoke with a little shaky voice on sounding nervous.
That's when the Cooper Van came to a stop from where the camera zooms to reveal a location in the open field. A well fortified building with security fence from around the structure to the outer portion towards only one gate entry. There were guard towers along with hidden weaponry in the structure, plus moving military vehicles with soldiers.
"Woah, what is that place?" Tracer asked from never having seen such a place before.
"Oh no, I remember seeing that building from our history class pop-quiz." Jack yelps upon recognizing the structure before them. "That's Fort Knox!" He issued on revealing the name of the building.
"No kidding, so this world has one too?" Tracer asked shock from hearing this and it dawn to her. "Man, to think we find a treasure jewel within such a massive security facility that keeps things tight on holding a lot of gold for the country." This job just got a heck of a lot harder without warning.
Tinkerbell flies around to make bell sounds but she was clearly trying to talk to the group about what the problem was.
"Sorry Tinkerbell, I'm not good as Raff. But to answer the question of what the problem is, well…Think of that place as a security to keep intruders out from stealing treasure." Jack explained this as best he could, which Tinkerbell smiled to nod from her experience of dealing with greedy pirates. "Maybe I can ask Agent Fowler if they can let us in?" Jack stated as he pulls up his cell phone to hope they get in without causing a disturbance.
"Yeah, and while at it…explain they got a magical jewel and ask they hand it over to some strangers that aren't conspicuous in the slightest?" Sly shrug off his shoulders in seeing how that approach will end up.
"Sly's right, besides…the less people know the better." Bentley firmly agrees that they can't risk revealing themselves, especially considering many of them are not from this world.
"So does that mean we're gonna pull a job at what we do best?" Murray asked from knowing what this situation calls for.
"Hmm, normally I be against this, but since legally it's not my own world's version, it could be intriguing to test myself in there?" Tracer stated on finding this as both concerning but exciting: after all, not many people can say they broke into Fort Knox and live to tell about it.
"Well Jack, looks like you get to roll with some thieves in breaking into your country's well fortified treasury. Excited?" Sly cracks a sly grin on knowing that this will be an interesting challenge for this crew.
Jack just had a blank face when having heard this, and was a bit uncertain. But when in Rome, do what the Romains do, which in this case…involves doing things not many normal human teens do.
MEANWHILE
WITHIN FORT KNOX
The scene changes to where a familiar teleportation event occurred in a large garage area. And that's when the Cooper Van appeared in a flash. Then existing the van was the group as they inspect the surroundings.
"Wow Tracer, that teleport function of yours is amazing?" Murray smiled to compliment the girl's little gizmo that helped them out.
"Thanks Murray, gotta give you credit Bentley, you really boost my gear's performance. I think Winston be impressed." Tracer smiled to praise the little turtle for the nifty job he did on his part.
"Well it wasn't too much, all I did was use some old time travel tech with your teleportation device. Then finding a rudimentary of cross sync the electrical fields of positive and negative atoms plus neutrons to…" Bentley was about to go into the scientific details but…
"Hold that thought…" Sly cuts in to have something to say at this time. "We need to be stealthy, no telling if there are some guards moving around…?" He looks around, the coast seem clear but it's only a matter of time before anyone knows they infiltrated Fort Knox.
"True, if they spot us, they can set off an alarm to alert the whole base." Tracer held her chin to ponder about such a fact.
"Isn't there like…some sorta shutdown switch so they can't do that?" Jack speaks on knowing this type of military bases should have a main control room to monitor everything.
"A place this heavily secured, they wouldn't leave it so open for any common cockroach to slip in let alone a common thief." Bentley issued on knowing this place is so tight, it take a master thief to even be lucky enough to get in and out alive. "We'll have to split up, we'll find the security room and disable them. Sly, you take Jack and inform us when you located and obtain the Chaos Emerald. Then we can join up later with the van if we need a quick getaway." Bentley explain the plan on what was the best course of action their roles can do here.
With that about settled, Sly Cooper leads Jack down a hallway where the raccoon shows the boy the art of being a stealthy thief. Jack remembered how Sly moved, but seeing the actions up close was a surprise. The two eventually reach a seal vault door guarded by two guardsmen. That's when Sly began to make a secret nod to Jack, then made a noise loud enough to attract the guards attention.
"Hugh, what was that?" A guard tilted his head from hearing a weird noise just now.
"Better go check it out." The second guard asked the guy inspect the disturbance, as the first guard approaches the hallway…
"I don't see…./WHACK!/Ugh..!?" The first guard went by the open hall path to inspect but yelps from getting knock out.
"Hmm?" The second guard noticed the action, then slowly approaches the hallway corner. "What's going…/WHACK!/Ooh!" The second guard yelps as one spots Jack knocking the guard out using Sly's cane.
"Nice going Jack." Sly smiled from taking his cane back.
"I just hope this doesn't go down on my record, my mom would KILL Me if I ended up in JAIL!?" Jack expressed worries on what this will do to his future.
"Eh, in my line of work…breaking and entering comes natural if you're a world's greatest thief." Sly shrug off his shoulders to not let such things get one down. "At best, you get 20 to 30 years, maybe 50 tops if you get caught with the goods? But you might get out early for good behavior?" The raccoon was just making some light chats on the subject here.
"I hate to imagine how it can get worse." Jack scratch his back head, not sure how else to imagine what happens after that.
"Well, they probably execute you if you pose a big enough threat? But I wouldn't hold my breath to that." Sly shrugs off the shoulder to mention something that made the boy flinch while the raccoon tries to listen for the right combination to open the vault.
"Gulp…gee, I really hope…" Jack swallowed hard with his worries increased as Sly opens the vault door.
"Wait, we're not alone." Sly stopped Jack from speaking from noticing something off…
Then as Sly leads Jack into a room, they were quiet and moved silently because…there were voices talking further in. The camera begins to zoom around a large MI-26 Helicopter model, and coming out of it was a strange person. A 6 feet tall man with a hunched posture, muscular build, pasty skin, a strong jawline, white teeth and a prominent nose and has short, oily, tousled, black hair along with a thin pointed mustache. Wears a dark purple trench-coat with a silver buckled black belt, a black sweatshirt, black leggings, and knee length buckled boots. Also wears clear eye glasses and blood-red leather elbow-length riding gloves. Accompanying him was a short plumpy dog with a prominent under bite and sharp fang-like teeth. Has hazel eyes and a very large nose which always appears wet and has shaggy beige fur. The ears, brows and tail however are a much darker shade of brown. Also wears a red collar around the neck.
"Ohhhh, just look at all this…Gold here, Gold there…Gold EVERYWHERE!?" The man exclaimed with a large excited tone by his greed. "We are going to be rich Muttley! RICH!" He issued to discuss this matter with his dog companion.
"Teeheeheeehh…" The dog known as Muttley chuckled with a snarky grin across his face.
"Muggshot, have you…convince our new friend to help store everything into the copter we borrowed after tying those poor saps guarding it?" The man turns inside to speak towards someone inside the helicopter.
Then coming out of the said helicopter was another character but more like a humanoid animal type. A massive bulldog with lilac fur, large muscular arms, displaying a view of a huge, muscular beast of a dog. He has a thick mustache and mono-brow, which are identical to one another. Also wears a black tank top to match the pants and shoes and spike wristbands. Wields machine guns in both hands.
Then coming behind the bulldog was another someone tied up with rope behind the back. Resembles a penguin-like creature dressed in royal, red finery, with a personal emblem performing the peace sign embossed on the back of the robe, Seems rather portly, blue-skinned and has a yellow beak mouth, has blue eyes. Has a round red cap, which has a golden rim and a white ball at the top, and has yellow mittens. He has a tan 'onesie' portrayed as a kimono, revealing a blue belly. In addition, has a red and yellow, zigzag-patterned obi stretched across the waist which separates from the tan garment, being stretched over it.
"Oh he better, cause if he don't, then what use is he for?" Muggshot remarked on threatening the penguin with his guns pointed to the back.
"You can't treat me like this, I'm a KING! I'm King Dedede!" The blue penguin protest on not wanting to be treated this way.
"Yeah, and you're gonna be king dodo if you don't tell your little buddies to pack up our ride." Muggshot threats the so-called king to get to work or else.
King Dedede signs before tilting his head as if signaling those in the copter to come out. Then walking out were a whole large number of small creatures. They had pear-shaped faces, chestnut-colored eyes and no mouth. They have a round body, honey feet, small stubby arms, and rosy cheeks resembling much of Kirby's species. They were working together to collect the large gold bars to load them into the copter while the villains smirk at this act while King Dedede frowns as he was apparently a prisoner. But none realized that Jack and Sly were observing the whole thing nearby.
"Sly, is everything alright?" Bentley's voice was heard as Sly saw his imagine in the binoculars that display their images.
"Not precisely, apparently we are not the only ones making a deposit retraction today?" Sly stated on having to address the elephant in the room; or more precisely, the bulldog. "Apparently our old pal Muggshot is active and he's made some new friends." Using the binoculars zoom in to reveal Mugshot, as the Cooper Gang has had run-ins with the villain in the past.
"I know those guys." Jack spoke up silently as he had information on those the Cooper Gang don't know. "That's Dick Dastardly and his pet sidekick Muttley, they're from the 'Hanabara' series. They're known well as cheaters in racing events like Whacky Races and other cameos that folks saw their comical evil villain actions as a gag." Jack explained the brief introduction on what such characters like these were.
"Okay, and who are the others." Sly asked from wanting to know more of what's going on here.
"King Dedede and the Waddle Dees, they're from Kirby's world. They are suppose to sometimes be Kirby's foes but sometimes his allies, depending…?" Jack revealed a shocking surprise on recognizing characters from the 'Kirby' series. "And it appears they're forcing Dedede's troops to aid in stealing the gold." They can see that the main villains are forcing King Dedede's endless troops to provide as labor force to load up all the gold in that helicopter.
"Okay, well as long as they don't notice us, we can be…" Sly was about to say something on a plan course when…
Then there was a loud noise of laser blast being fired around the area. Then everyone's focus was turn to spot what was running and leaping on the gold bars. It was a mystery character in a dark grey hooded cape running on all fours. Then appearing to ride on a jetpack while firing a scientific laser was a strange man. A rather short man with a large head with a flat top and a large 'N' on his forehead, as well as yellow skin and black hair. Sports a goatee, bushy eyebrows and hair only at the top of the head and going around the back of it with two large twirls at each side of it. For attire, wears a white lab-coat with what appears to be a black leotard underneath and yellow gloves.
"HOLD STILL, YOU CRITTEN!" The big headed-man snapped in rage while firing his laser blaster.
"CORTEX! What are you doing?" Dick Dastardly snapped to address the short man who was causing a ruckus.
"That's Dr. Neo Cortex to you! And for your information, someone has stolen a jewel that my instruments say holds UNTOLD Power!" The short man known as Cortex explained and points to the thief in question.
Then the hooded cape creature removed the cover to stand on a tall stack of gold bars. Turns out to be anthropomorphic female Corsac fox with gray and white fur, and brown color eyes. Consist with a hooded navy-blue tunic, black baggy trousers, black belt, light gray bandages and a right-sided small jadeite ear-piercing which doubles as a lockpick
"Oh you mean this little thing, I mean sure it's pretty, but powerful? You know for a guy with a big head, you're not too sharp?" The female fox made witty and cleaver remarks while spinning what appeared to be a yellow color Chaos Emerald like a basketball.
"That's Neo Cortex, he's Crash Bandicoot's mortal enemy." Jack whispered to Sly in recognizing who the villain was, but was shock to see this guy here of all places.
"And who's the fox? I know it's not Carmelita…?" Sly whispered from knowing what fox ladies he's bump into, and this one is not one he knows.
"That's…" Jack was about to say something when…
"EVIL VILLAINS BEWARE!" Then a loud booming male voice was heard getting everyone's attention.
Then someone leaped to hopped over to make cool poses before landing in a bouncy way. It was an anthropomorphic black and white fur panda with brown color toes and green eyes and was 6.2 feet tall and weigh approximately 260 pounds. Wore a patched-up burlap shorts with Shaolin wraps around ankles. Carries a staff with a circularly curved head with the addition of a small stone that floats in close proximity to the staff, visually forming the yin yang symbol. Its colors are primarily golden, jade, and light green colors.
"For you face the wrath of Zhen the Dragon Warrior and her master! In the arts of KUNG FU!" The panda declared while twirling around the jade staff.
"Hugh, your master is a FAT Panda?" Dick Dasterly raised an eyebrow to question how a fox could be a student to a panda of all things.
"Teeheehee…" Muttley lets off a snicker at finding this fact funny that anyone would have a panda for a master.
"Correction, I'm Po, former Dragon Warrior and now Spirit Leader of the Valley of Peace!" The panda introduced himself while getting into a battle position. "And though I do not know where or how we ended up here, but my sense of picking up trouble alerted me of a scheme! A scheme of EVIL stealing gold like a villain who steals candy from children!" He issued with a bold and heroic tone in his voice.
"Wasn't that sense you picked up because of the donuts in that breakroom we passed by?" Zhen raised an eyebrow to recall what lead Po was the sweet smell of baked goods.
"Zhen…I'm in the moment here? And they don't need to know that?" Po silently whispers to Zhen from not letting the bad guys know that and ruin the cool heroic scene moment.
"Oh, right…sorry. My bad…" Zhen sheepishly smile on realizing what she did, or at least pretends to be.
"I don't know if this is a comedian act or not, but you should've brought something more than a stick?" Muggshot firmly issued on seeing how foolish the panda was in coming in with a plan medium range stick thing.
"Hey, this ain't no stick, this is…the 'Staff of Wisdom' it's self! Handed down by Master Oogway himself…And it's about to kick some butt!" Po proclaimed to reveal the true nature of the staff he wields is a force of greatness.
"Well here's an old saying…" Muggshot exclaimed to aim his machine guns forward. "Never bring a knife to a gunfight!" The guy grins from about to enjoy teaching some foolish heroes the meaning of battle.
That's when Muggshot was opening fire with his machine guns. This action caused Po and Zhen to yelp and duck, dodge and hid to evade the wild shooting of a crazy hound. During the time Jack witness this before hiding back to look at Sly.
"I don't believe this, that's Po and Zhen from the Kung Fu Panda series." Jack was utterly shock on recognizing two characters from a beloved kung fu series.
"And let me guess, it involved martial arts?" Sly lightly jokes on the situation on what those engaging the enemy can do.
"Kung fu actually…" Jack reminds Sly that what Po said earlier was their profession.
"Well, we better go say hello while there's some of the panda's fur left intact." Sly issued on seeing if they don't do something, there may not be much left of a big target like Po dodging so many shots.
Moving quietly, the two tries to get by since Muggshot was trying to shoot and take out the panda and fox. And speaking of which, we spot Po and Zhen having meant up behind a large pile of gold bars in a pyramid form.
"Ugh, Po, not to question your leadership skills, but…" Zhen sounded calm at first over the loud gunfire… "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?" She yelled from panicking from realizing they are facing a weapon alien to their knowledge.
"I don't know, Zhen? It must be some advance version of Lord Shen's weapon to destroy Kung Fu, I faced something like it before but this one's in a miniature size?" Po issued from analyzing the weapon to determine how big of a threat it really is.
"Okay, so how did you beat it?" Zhen asked from hoping Po has the answer if he took down a version like this.
"Well I defeated a larger version, but this one seems to fire smaller and faster rounds?" Po scratch his chin, uncertain due to differences of such a similar weapon.
"So, that's a no on how to handle it?" Zhen raised an eyebrow, seeing that Po was stalling from not having a clue to win this.
"Hey, I'm on a lot of pressure as it is of not knowing what's going on as it is!? I just gotta put the pieces together?" Po insist on needing time to think up a plan to deal with this danger.
"Hey, need a hand?" Then Sly pops in along with Jack which caught the Kung Fu characters a bit off guard.
"Woah, who are you people?" Zhen asked a bit surprised, never seeing an outfit like Sly Cooper and more so what kind of creature was Jack.
"The people that wanna help you stop the bad guys from stealing and keep that gem you have from falling into the wrong hands." Jack gave a brief intro since there was no time to go into much details now.
"Ah-ha! Allies of Justice, gotta admit I was pretty worried if there was no hero around?" Po smiled from seeing that at last, they can work with those to stop evil committing a vile act of stealing.
"Okay, how's about this. The enemy knows you're here, but doesn't know about us." Sly issued on having a plan that may just help them with one group being the stealthiest. "Distract him and we can free one of the captives to join the fight and maybe turn the odds in our favor." Sly explain the basic plan to divide and then conquer which also includes increasing their chances of victory.
"Oh, we can distract." Zhen grins happily on liking how this can go.
"Not gonna brag, but…it's hard for villains to ignore me." Po smiled to proudly say he's good at such a task.
"Yeah, he gets their attention real easily." Zhen whispered to the others on knowing how bad guys find Po…very difficult to deal with.
"Okay, just try not to get them too wild up." Jack asked from knowing that Zhen is kinda someone that pulls unexpected surprises.
"Please, you're talking to an expert thief here. Watch and learn." Zhen issued on suddenly leaping up to stand above some gold bars. "Hey puppy eyes!" She called out to get Muggshot's attention.
"Hugh?" Muggshot looked at who was calling to him, then spots Zhen as well as Po coming from below the grey fox.
"I bet you can't hit a little fox and a big panda if we were any closer. Otherwise you lose street cred and be label a lousy shot." Zhen taunts and teases the big dog for not having proper aim to hit them, especially with Po being a big easy target.
"NOBODY TALKS THAT WAY TO ME!" Mugshot grips his fist from feeling untold rage boiling inside him. "ARRRRUGH!" He roared with rage while aiming his machine guns. "BANGBANGBANGBANG!" And boy did Muggshot go wild to attack where he saw Zhen and Po leaping and jumping all over.
"Aaaahhhhh!?" Po yelps from how close one of those shots came near scorching his tail.
"Hey, it's working! I got him his attention." Zhen grins to praise on mission accomplish on distract the bad guys.
"Yeah, a little TOO Well! Now he's shooting all over." Po yelled from realizing the unexpected action from what they unleashed.
"Wait for it…" Zhen whispered from looking at how the loose cannon Muggshot was firing and not caring who was in the way.
"GRAAAAAAARRRRRGH!" Muggshot roared as he fires more shots, but didn't realize where Zhen and Po were near Dick Dastardly and Neo Cortex's area.
"AAaahhh!" Dick Dastardly screamed as he duck down to evade a shot blew off a portion of his hair. "WATCH WHO YOU ARE SHOOTING, YOU FOOL!" The guy yelled at Muggshot for being completely out of control.
"Heh-heh-heh, heh…" Muttley secretly chuckled under his breath, seeing the funny thing that happen to Dick.
"GAAaaahhh!? Shoot them, not ME!?" Doctor Cortex was seen yelping to duck and doge in midair because Muggshot was firing randomly without care.
During the distraction as the villains side didn't notice that Jack was lead towards the helicopter by Sly. Then as the raccoon slipped away, allowed Jack to sneak behind King Dedede to help loosen his tied hands which the penguin noticed.
"Hugh?" King Dedede yelps from seeing Jack free him from the restraints on him.
"Shhh, we're here to free you." Jack hushed the penguin to not give them away.
"Wait, are you doing this to ask for some reward?" King Dedede raised an eyebrow, knowing nobody does this charity stuff without a motive.
"Now's probably not a good time to ask that." Jack shrug off the shoulders to say while having almost finished freeing the guy.
"Hugh?" Muttley then noticed someone by King Dedede. "Raarr-Rarrrarrr!" Then the dog was alerting Dick of something else to worry about.
"What the devil?" Dick Dastardly turns to notice what was happening.
"Uh oh!?" Jack yelps from seeing they were caught, and now King Dedede was struggling to get the last knots done on his ropes..
"Boy, I don't know who you are, but you either have two choices. Work with us and share in untold riches." Dick Dastardly approaches Jack with Muttley to propose a deal. "Or suffer the consequences. Now which will it be?" The guy threatens while asking for an answer of either way, there was no way out.
"Riiip!" That's when King Dedede ripped his last loose ropes completely off and freeing himself. "How's about MY Opinion!" Then the penguin stood up before pulling something from out of nowhere. "It's HAMMER TIME!" That's when King Dedede wielded a large mallet with a star imprint in the center on both sides.
"Oh no..." Dick Dastardly yelps on knowing where this will lead to. "SMACK!" Yep, he got smacked with the mallet by the strong penguin. "SPLAT!" And next we spot the man made an imprint of his body into the wall like a classical cartoon gag.
"Kihihihhihh…" Muttley let loose a snicker at seeing the comical pain action of his partner.
"DON'T JUST STAND THERE!? DO SOMETHING!?" Dick Dastardly yelled at the dog for thinking it's funny to see him in pain.
"Rarrrr…" Muttley prepares to throw a bomb, when it was taken by Sly and replaced with…his hat? "Ohhh?" Muttley was surprised but smiled to try the hat on.
"Don't waste time picking up a hat and making poses you…" Dick Dastardly got free of the wall to lecture the dog when… "Wait, why is that hat glowing?" He noticed something weird about that hat the dog wore.
"Hugh…?" Muttley noticed the hat was glowing before… "KABOOM!" It exploded and when it was over; both Muttley and Dick Dastardly were covered in black smog.
"Cough…." Dick coughs out a large puff of smoke after the explosion was done. "The old exploding hat gag, why didn't you see that coming?" He narrow his eyes at the dog for having fallen for an old gag like that.
"Grrr-Razzer-Frazzer-Mackbac…" Muttley grumbled a bit under his breath, sounding upset and annoyed by that remark on his mistake.
"Nice going Sly!" Jack gave a thumbs up to the raccoon for helping them out.
"Thanks for the distraction." Sly gave a thumbs up to praise the human teen for the extra hand.
"Sly…?" Muggshot heard the name to turn his attention around. "SLY COOPER!?" He yelled in rage, remembering his mortal enemy.
"Well Muggshot, fancy meeting you here?" Sly made a cocky remark to tease the muscle-head on the chances of them meeting like this. "I guess you're status as international criminal has been downgraded to lapdog?" Sly went ahead to pull the old classical taunt of a meathead strategy.
"Oh today is just full of chumps coming in. Well I'll shot you all full of holes!" Muggshot issued on seeing his old enemy and plans to make mince-meat out of the raccoon.
"Ah-ah!" Po was seen leaping onto a pyramid of gold bars. "You let your guard down, now prepare to witness the awesomeness at hand!" He held his staff, getting ready to unleash his fury.
"You still think you can beat me with a STUPID Stick?" Muggshot remarked from seeing the panda truly thinks he can win with some staff in a gun fight.
"You been warn…" Po exclaimed as he was held the staff as it emits a golden light.
"What's he doing?" Doctor Cortex raised an eyebrow, witnessing this action from above.
Po was twirling the staff as the golden light was forming a Chinese dragon, and then was spinning the front before the villains. Then Po spun it around the ground, lifts it up and…
"SKADOOSH!" Po roared forth as he slams the staff forward without warning.
"ROOOOARRRRR!" That's when a golden energy dragon was shot forth before Muggshot's direction with a mighty realistic roar. "KABLAM!/Uuuughhh!?" Muggshot was impacted with a powerful energy burst explosion that knocked the big dog out.
"Oh yeah! You just got served by that stick!" Zhen taunts the big dog to let him know he got served with a sly grin.
"Zhen, we been over this, it's the Staff of Wisdom!?" Po turns to remind Zhen on how to address sacred relics by their actual name.
"You know it, I know it, but the rest of them don't know it." Zhen exclaimed on just saying what everyone else is thinking.
"No way….how could we lose?" Doctor Cortex yelps upon seeing what has happen. "That insufferable BANDICOOT isn't around, and we LOST!?" The guy couldn't make sense of this, and he's an evil scientist.
"Oh you better get ready, cause I'm about to WHOOP your hid!" King Dedede issued as he grip his hammer, ready to flatten someone to let off steam.
"Well when the going gets tough, the genius mind knows what to do." Neo Cortex declared on having an answer to this problem. "ESCAPE!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.
Then without the doctor press a device that forms a vortex portal, and then released disc that acted as gravity beams. The short doctor went through the portal followed by the disc carrying the other defeated villains. And before anyone could do anything, the portal vanished. But at the same time, a red light flashes followed by a loud alarm noise.
"Woah, did he just pull off some kind of vanishing act?" Po asked amazed by seeing how the bad guys vanished like it was some magic.
"Ugh, what's that weird light and noise mean?" Zhen asked from thinking that does not sound good.
"That would be the alarm, which means we need to get out of here before explaining what happen and why we're here?" Jack stated on knowing the stealth mission was blown.
"Yeah, and I think they'll be starting with the SHOOT first and ask questions afterwards." Sly stated on knowing how these sorts of things go when security catches any thief on the move, it's never a good moment. "Bentley, you and the gang think you can give us a lift?" He contacted his buds to see if they can give them a way out.
Then without warning, the Cooper Van teleported out of nowhere to land beside the group and the helicopter.
"Somebody call for a lift?" Tracer opened the van's door to smile and wave out to everyone.
"And how!" Jack smiled from being thankful the others arrived. "Is there enough room for a few more?" Jack asked from knowing they got a lot of new faces to tag along now.
"No problem! Just squeeze in!" Murray happily waved out for everyone to join in.
"Ohhh, looks like we get to ride in style!?" Zhen grins from looking at the sweet new ride.
"Wow, this thing's so much cooler then what the Empire of China goes around when he travels?" Po exclaimed from him and Zhen never seen something like modern technology.
"Really, wow…I feel honored." Murray sheepishly blushes from his ride being praised: but then he yelps from seeing the Waddle Dees crowding on the outside side areas. "Ugh, how many of those little guys are left?" Murray asked from not sure how much the van can hold.
"Just a couple hundred or so, why?" King Dedede issued on knowing he's got a lot of these guys as his helpers.
"Um, I think we may have a weight problem?" Murray stated from looking at the weight meter, and they gone way pass the pressure point.
"Worry about that later, let's fire the engines and blow this taco stand." Sly stated on knowing they can worry about such little details after they leave and before security shows up.
"Bad news Sly, all the entrances and exits are blocked." Bentley sadly informs the group of what's happen after they arrive.
"Right, even if we ram on out of here, those guys look like they can destroy the van with placed ground cannons or something. I can't risk that, the girl might not last." Murray stated with his worries of them losing the van.
"What about Tracer's teleport tech?" Sly asked from recalling they used the tech that teleported them into Fort Knox without a hitch last time.
"Well it was a rushed job, and we were planning to use it twice, but then some guards came out of nowhere. So we zipped to where you were." Bentley explained what happen earlier that they came in by an unexpected way. "Tracer's device is in a fragile state, anymore and it could endanger her and ourselves." The turtle explained how they won't be able to use Tracer's tech to pull an escape as original plan.
"Man, so much for easy travel." Tracer looked a bit down upon having heard the sad news.
"Um, do you think we can fly out in that?" Jack asked from looking at the copter, believing it can fly them and the large number of Waddle Dee.
"Even if we did, they got weapons to shoot down any aircraft." Bentley stated on knowing the military outside will shoot anything during a lockdown protocol.
"Hmmm?" Jack held his chin, trying to think what can be done: how can they escape and not be pursued. "Guys, I have an idea, but you're…gonna have to trust me." The guy stated on wishing for those to trust in what he has to say.
"Trust you, I don't even know you?" King Dedede exclaimed from thinking this was too much to ask them. "But you did save my life, so…what you have in mind?" He shrug off the shoulders, deciding to see where this goes.
"Let's just say, to pull this off we will need…" Jack started to say before approaching someone. "A little help from our special fairy friend." Jack held a hand out to Tinkerbell who happily made bell sounds to land and give a bow to the audience.
"Wow, a fairy!?" Po was excited to see something so small and glimmering in bright light.
"Ah not to point the fingers, but how is this gonna solve our problems?" Zhen asked from thinking something so small, can't be much help.
"Well first, do you believe in magic?" Jack went ahead to ask a strange question out of nowhere.
That left everyone that was new a bit puzzled, but soon Jack got everyone to gather to hear the plan. The scene goes dark as the camera zooms away….
OUTSIDE FORT KNOX
As there was a commotion happening, without warning the rooftop of the vault was opening. Then the MI-26 Helicopter was seen taking off to fly off from the sight. Didn't take long for the guards to notice a military copter was leaving in such a rush.
"The intruders are trying to escape in that MI-26 Helicopter!" One of the guards alerted those below of what was happening.
"Shoot it down!" Another guard gave orders to bring that copter down even by destroying it.
That's when the weapons on the fences and walls took aim to open fire. At first the copter continued to fly straight and took a little damage. But eventually it was taking damage to cause a problem to the rotors and plummet down before crashing in a large explosion. Many guards noticed this while some had binoculars to see the destroy helicopter and the scatter gold bars.
"Soldiers, report!" Then a captain was seen approaching those in charge.
"The enemy has been shot down sir." One soldier salutes to give a firm report on the matter.
"And what is left?" The captain asked for more details.
"Reports say there's nothing left but the stolen gold sir. The intruders maybe burned or blown to bits?" The second soldier report the outcome of what was left of the crash site.
"Very good, return the gold while I report this to Washington." The captain gave some strict instructions on how to deal with the next part while securing the gold stolen.
While the security watch the events of the crash site, none saw from the black smoke that figures were soaring high. And from within the clouds, something was moving, and it was everyone that escape the fort. They were glowing a yellow particle and they were flying in the sky thanks to that.
"OH YEAH! WOO-HOO!" Po was seen having the best time of his life to spin and twirl in the air. "You might have seen a housefly, maybe even a superfly, but I bet you ain't never seen a PANDA FLY!?" Po proudly roared with excitement that he can fly.
"Heck, I think this flying thing could pull off loads of jobs and be a great getaway!" Zhen grins from finding this ability to fly could be useful to pull off some heist jobs.
"Zhen, remember, we don't steal." Po lectures the girl on what they shouldn't do.
"Oh, then what about when I kept this beauty?" Zhen pulled out the yellow emerald in question. "So this jewel really is something more special then it's look?" She looked to those to hear their explanation on the Chaos Emerald.
"You have no idea, and just imagine if the enemy had all seven. Worse, if they find these 3 Triforce relics to change the world." Bentley expressed his concerns on imagining the worse kind of possibilities ever to exist. "We're talking danger level that be like breaking into 10, no, 100 Fort Knox that would be nothing more then child's play." The turtle best describes the difficult they face, as being small to what could be a true horror event.
"Wow, way to put the scale on world domination and world destruction in one basket." Tracer stated on just picturing something that bad in the mind.
"Well never fear, if it's justice you seek, then we shall aid you in your time of need!" Po boldly declared on offering assistance from heroes of kung fu.
"Right, even if it means we get to steal stuff from bad guys, no harm in that." Zhen issued from knowing if they can pull fast ones on the enemy, then stealing is helping…most of the time.
"Man, I always dreamt what it be like for the old girl to fly?" Murray grins from being so happy he can not only fly, but drive the van WHILE flying in the air without wings.
"I can't even think how this glittering dust can not only lift us but the van too?" Bentley was just as surprised as anyone else, he had tools and technology to fly but this was something else.
"Hey, Jack said the magic works when you believe. And I think at this point, what's not to believe?" Sly smiled a bit from seeing that at this point, there's almost nothing they wouldn't believe: even magic can be as real as anything from the Cooper Gang's experience.
"Hahahaaaah, I'm already in love with it. And folks say the day I achieve anything, is the day when penguins fly. Hah, let's see the look on their faces!" King Dedede grins to swirl around with Waddle Dees behind him as the king was having fun.
"Once again, thanks for the save Tinkerbell." Jack smiled to thank the fairy as Tinkerbell made a bell sound while nodding happily for the praise.
Soon the group was flying and Murray was driving the van which was covered by the magic pixie dust. Wasn't long before the group reach the ground on the road side far distance from Fort Knox. It appeared this was it, they got out and without too much trouble, right…?
"FREEZE!" Then a female voice was heard demanding those surrender.
Then everyone turns to spot someone coming from behind a large row of trees that seem like an anthropomorphic humanoid. It was some a beautiful, orange-furred vixen with a slender and thin, and with almost the entirety of the face, along with the stomach, colored in apricot-orange. Has black-tipped pointy ears with the insides being colored in apricot-orange, and the left having a small golden hoop-earring as the ears are pointed upwards. Has brown color eyes, a small black nose with define cheeks, a small beauty mark under the left eye, and a signature large bushy tail with an apricot underside. The most distinctive feature is the long, loose wavy dark blue hair with equally wavy bangs, kept in a braid with a gold-colored hair tie. Sports a top completely resembling a bra, dark blue zipped-up miniskirt, a brown belt with a golden buckle, brown heeled belt-buckle boots with flaps, and the jacket's sleeves are rolled up above the elbows. Was seen wielding that appears to be a red shock pistol emitting electric currents of voltage. Jack and the Cooper Gang recognized this character right away, Inspector Carmelita Fox, serving as both a police rival foe/lover to Sly cooper.
"Hey, who's this fox suppose to be? Some kind of cop you know?" King Dedede raised an eyebrow from seeing someone causing trouble.
"Hey, don't look at me? I don't even know her and I've run from the law before?" Zhen held up her arms to state this is the first time meeting.
"Inspector Carmelita Fox, wow, how long have you been there?" Sly asked with a sheepish smile, not expecting to see her here of all places.
"Long enough to know you broke into a place full of treasures and busted out!" The orange fox known as Carmelita Fox made a rhetorical remark at Sly's little joke. "I outta have you all arrested for that." She aims her weapon, preparing a powerful electric charge to be fire.
"Um, can you do that? When you have…you know…?" Sly shrug off his shoulders to make a stated claim on a small oversight issue. "No jurisdiction in a cross dimensional world where everything is different from where you came from?" Yep what Sly was doing was using the rules that don't apply from their world here: and boy is it a stretch.
"Maybe, but the law is the law no matter where we are." Carmelita Fox remarks that even if they are not on their world, rules and the law should still apply anywhere. "Now start talking, or else!?" She threatens those with her weapon aim at everyone present.
"Wait, just…hear me out." Jack steps forth to try and calm the nearly trigger finger fox cop.
"And why should I listen to some kid of a species I'm not familiar with?" Carmelita Fox raised an eyebrow, studying the human species for the first time. "Hugh?" Then Tinkerbell was flying around, frowns to wiggle her index finger at the fox lady for her rash action. "A fairy, okay…I've seen weird stuff, but now I'm convinced. This is weirder, so…care to explain kid?" Carmelita Fox was taken aback by Tinkerbell's appearance, then look to Jack to hear what he has to say.
"Look, if I was to explain that there is a way to get you home, but we have to stop some villains from almost destroying all of reality, would you help?" Jack simply stated a very brief and convincing debate while promising to fill in the blanks at a later time.
"Come on Inspector, it'll be like last time…you…me…the gang…saving the day." Sly smiled to use his 'charm' to convince the inspector to join on the fun.
"The last few cases we team up, you got away." Carmelita Fox firmly issue on recalling the times she played with aiding the Cooper Gang, and in the end…caught other criminals except for Sly Cooper himself. "Sign, but considering the options, very well." She signs to give in, knowing there is little choice and no room to refuse. "But try anything, and someone is going to get blasted!" She glares to give another threatening reminder to those present.
"Woah-woah, haha, easy there. We hear you, and we humbly respect your wishes." Po yelps to try and be the calming playful voice of reason. "We don't mess with the law, right…Zhen?" Po turns to get Zhen to agree to avoid any problems.
"Ah right, heh…no messing with the folks of law and authority…" Zhen pretends to agree while secretly crossing her fingers: since she has a criminal record of what she did before she turn over a new leaf.
"Oh brother, how can you handle her?" King Dedede looked to ask Sly how he can handle someone like this tough inspector fox lady.
"Eh, it's my charm." Sly shrug off to simply smile on giving his comment on the matter.
"Let's contact Agent Fowler and tell him what we got." Jack request on what they do next from here. "And that we may have gotten a few more members to help along the way." Jack stated on knowing this will be much for the agent man to handle what else they got besides the Chaos Emerald.
The group was now something else for Jack to handle. Besides Tracer with the teleport surprises and Tinkerbell with the magic fairy dust to make folks fly, plus who could forget the thieves of legend of Sly Cooper along with Bentley the brains and Murray the brawn. Now added to the crew was two Kung Fu warriors like Po the Panda and Zhen, King Dedede and his Waddle Dee troops, and an Inspector of the law Carmelita Fox. The scene grows dark on how Jack is gonna handle dealing with such colorful characters in his group from here on out…

AT A SECRET MECH BASE
The scene opens to reveal that Handsome Jack was in the room, he was working on a monitor and it displayed Doctor Neo Cortex. And he was getting a report back from the guy with a very unsettling report on a failure to secure two things: the gold in Fort Knox and a Chaos Emerald.
"Cortex, normally I be furious. But…as a businessman, I'm willing to overlook this blunder." Handsome Jack stated on trying to not display a disappointed expression. "I'll give you new orders, so don't mess up." He informs the short big headed man on giving him another chance.
"Very well, but can I…" Neo Cortex was about to say something; but was cut off as the monitor went dark.
"Problem?" Then entering with loud stomps was none other then Nemesis Prime.
"Yeah, seems our genius and the bunch we got in report they had a run-in with a problem. And look at this." Handsome Jack stated as he then pulled up a picture image of what Neo Cortex and party faced.
"Hmmm?" Nemesis Prime saw Sly, Po, Zhen, King Dedede, the Waddledee, and Jack.
"Out of this bunch of whacky bunch, the boy in the picture. He was involve in keeping me from obtaining the DMV Relic we got back." Handsome Jack revealed a shocking surprise to point at the image of Jack. "If he's involved, those others maybe trying to stop the plan." He firmly address the matter on knowing the same troublemaker was causing problems for their side.
"Then we best make certain they do not interrupt." Nemesis Prime issued on wanting to make certain the problem does not arise too much.
"Should I inform the others?" Handsome Jack asked if they should brief their other contact members.
"Do so, meanwhile…" Nemesis Prime nods before turning to leave the area. "I have other things to take care of…" He spoke with a darken tone as the sigma symbol flashed across the eyes.
The scene shifts to focus on jumbo multiple monitor screen wall revealing the locations of strong energy readouts. Two were from Chaos Emeralds already taken by the good guys, and three were of a more unique nature. As the room goes dark, the multi-screens displayed shadowy characters. This could only mean the enemy would reach them with new orders to 'deal' with some hero issue.
NOTES: The latest version of new characters appearance is base on their last new update or remakes or how they appear in movies.
Po's quote 'Never Seen A 'Panda' Fly?' is a different version from Donkey from Shriek on when he was starting to fly from getting sprinkle by pixie dust.

Well this was certainly something to enjoy, and a few surprises are always a welcome sight. And in the next chapter, the adventure will focus on Raff's team exploring an area that besides a Chaos Emerald, there's a unique energy source, and it's located…underwater? The discovery of some unknown technology is also a bonus especially if it's a powerful ship like nothing Earth has ever seen and it's not even Cybertronian but man-made. But of course trouble comes in when treasure seeking pirates of the Sea and Air drop in to make claims, and possibly other sea creature foes. How is a group made up of tech-heads gonna prevail against such odds? Well what if they use the special ship in question to rise it up again to do battle. And the heroes also encounter, some friendly 'Rogues' under a blue theme color? Sounds like a 'Yo-Ho' tale you won't wanna miss! Until then, enjoy…
