Ch. 43

(A/N): Hello, and let me say I'm officially back to writing again. So a recap from my notes there will be monthly updates to this story and after I'm officially done with this fic I will finish revising and writing "New Beginnings." This chapter is also not that long and may not be that good, but I wanted to really start introducing the next generation to MKLT. I really hope you enjoy, and thank you for the reviews and follows and for faving this story. Like always I do not own MK-LT

Ch. 43

While the other adults talked Karin took Yuga and Ayu over to the pool to introduce them to their future class mates. The other kids were still wondering what the chef was yelling at when they noticed the new comers.

"Kids this Yuga and Ayu Mikado, They will be in your class the start of the new term, so why don't you all introduce yourselves while us adults talk."

"Okay mom," said a girl who looked to be Yuga's age.

After the girl's mother left she started to introduce herself. "Hi, I'm Riko and welcome to my home."

"Thank you for having us," said Yuga blushing at the girl.

"I'm Yoshiaki Tanaka," said the boy swimming up to them. "I'm the class president next to Riko."

"Like anyone really cares," said a tallish looking girl. "Hi there I'm Kanna and that kid over there is my nerd of a brother Masaki."

Said boy walked up to the bunch and glared up at his sister. "I can introduce myself, as I'm sure that's why Riko didn't introduce Ayumi."

"Well I know that but knowing you, you would do that glaring thing and judge the poor girl on if she is smart or not," retorted his sister.

"Isn't that the truth," remarked Kasumi hugging her best friend. "Ayu I missed you so much, it seems forever since we last saw each other."

"I missed you too," said Ayu as she hugged the girl back.

"Hi, I'm Ayumi, Kasumi told us that you most likely be in our class," as she glanced at her sister also blushing at Ayu's brother.

"If you two are friends than that means your friends with him," stated Masaki.

"Hey, what's that supposed to mean," Sogen glared at the other boy."

"It means what it means," Masaki said as he started to walk away.

"Well that was kind of rude," stated Ayu glaring at the boy's back.

"Sorry about my nerd of a brother," Kanna started to say. "He thinks he is on level with Naoki, but he's really not."

"That's probably true as the only person who can match up to Naoki is my brother, and possibly me," Ayu added with a smirk.

"Ayu!" her brother warned. Everyone turned to look at the Mikado sibling really looking closer at Yuga.

"Oh really, and what makes you think that?" Masaki asked with small tick mark showing.

Ayu knew she was out of line, but this kid was really starting to tick her off. "Because Naoki is my brother's birthfather."

At that remark all the other kids at the same time the other parents shouted at the news they just heard.

"Wow, you mean you're really related to Uncle Naoki?" Riko asked.

"Yeah, he's my birthfather," Yuga said while glaring at his sister. "But that means nothing, our dad was real smart too, and was even smarter than Naoki."

"How do you know that?" asked Nanna.

"Because Ayu is the smartest girl I know," Sogan stated with pride.

"Phish, figures you would say something like that," remarked Masaki.

"Not that my sister is smart, which in your case kid you better watch out, but our dad knew never to give up on something or someone," Yuga stated as he smiled a little. "He taught us never to give up on our dreams, and to keep those that we love close."

At that statement Masaki felt a little horrible, but he still stood his ground. "I will admit to you that is something to be proud of, but I think everyone else should introduce themselves. After all we will be in school together starting after this weekend."

The awkwardness started to wore off as all the other kids started to introduce themselves. A lot of the girls were a little giggly as they thought to themselves that Yuga was pretty cute, and some of the boys thought that Ayu was pretty cute too; that only made Sogan a little mad, not noticing the girl sitting next to him sighing.

As the party went on everybody now was having a good time. The parents were keeping a good eye on the kids, except two adults who had gone inside not too long ago to get some extra "plates and napkins."

"I got the paper work done up, so whenever you are ready to present it to her just let me know when you do."

"Thank you. Now I just have to get through the next few weeks and then maybe…"

"Naoki don't count your chickens before they hatch."

"I know that, and I will give her all the time she needs; besides I have a lot to make up for.

Also I there will be another chapter tomorrow.
