Ch. 52

Ch. 52

As Naoki was finish cleaning the apartment, he was thinking of all the sanero how Sahoko would kill him. After 10 years he was breaking it off with one of the biggest mistakes of his life. They had only been five years since they had been married, He had tried so hard to keep their marriage happy at least, even put his feelings aside a year-in-a-half ago, but he could not manage the pain anymore.

It was after he talked with his friend that he decided to end his marriage. He had made sure that everything that they had owned together, including the house went to her. The only things that he would be keeping was his clothes, his money in his separate bank account (that only he and his private banker knew about), and anything he personally owned. Naoki knew this would still not make her happy, but she would be able to be with the one she genuinely loves.

Naoki was finishing putting the food on the table when Sahoko walked through the door. "Welcome home, dear."

"Thank you, love. And dinner looks good."

"So," Naoki began to say as they sat down to eat. "How was the trip? You hardly messaged me at all. Let me guess you were having to much fun.

"Please I was practically in their office about half the time or eating with my clients. But I was thinking of you, especially after I went to the doctor.

"I knew it." Thought Naoki. "What happened, no one called me to tell me you were hurt or sick?"

"It's nothing like that, but I had my suspension for a while," she said smiling brightly, which hurt Naoki the most. "I just found out the other day." Placing her hand on her small bump,

"I'm pregnant!"

Sahoko was ready for the shock of Naoki hearing the good news. They had tried for a year after their first year of marriage. They had visited a baby specialist at his hospital hoping for good news. After the doctor had called her Sahoko asked Naoki if he would not mind her working at her grandfather's office. Of course, Naoki was not against the idea. She had worked hard, but there was still missing something in their lives, and that of course was what Kotoko had, two of them in fact, and now it was their turn.

However, after a couple of seconds there was still nothing. Not one reaction from Naoki. Finally, she really looked at him as he was finishing not only his glass but hers as well.

"Naoki."

"Sorry," he said as he put the second glass slowly back down. "Congratulations on the baby. I hope he looks just like his father."

The woman nearly froze on the spot. "Well, I hope he looks like you, but what if we have a girl?"

"I'm sure your boyfriend would love that."

To say Sahoko was now frozen would be the understatement. She was beyond shock.

"Don't deny it. I have known for two years. That is why now it is best if we split our losses, with you keeping everything, even the apartment. All you need is to sign these papers, and then you and your boyfriend can celebrate together like he wants."

"What?"

"Oh, I already have the papers on the counter in a safe spot, along with a full ink pen," Naoki said as he got up from the table to get the papers. "Like I said, all you have to do is sign, and then I'm gone."

Sahoko thawed fast. "Naoki, what the hell is going on with you!? How dare you say something like that to your pregnant wife?"

"Because it's all true," he said as his hair shaded his eyes. "You've been cheating on for me for 2 years. And besides, we can't have children together." At that last statement Naoki's eyes grew soft. "You never thought I run into Dr. Yoshi. I understood why you never told me the truth, and I was supportive of you going to work for your family. You know there were even times I wondered how hard it would be for us to adopt a child of our own. I tried to be a better husband, but after I learned you were seeing someone, I felt guilty because that is what I thought I deserved. I cheated first, and I could not even give you a child. I thought if you were happy, it did not matter what I thought. My parents still had another son with a kind sweet girlfriend, who I know he is going to marry sometime soon. But I can't take it anymore."

"Sahoko, I want a divorce."

After so many years, Naoki finally spoke his mind. He finally grew a pair and was ready to be killed by the woman he knew he could never genuinely love.

"No."

This time it was Naoki's turn to be shocked. "What?"

"Do you really think I would let you go, especially after these few days. You just want to get rid of me so you and that no name woman and her brats can be together, which honestly, I do not see her taking you back after everything you did to her. You slept with her and left causing her not to tell you about your own son. She even fell in love with another man and had a child with him. How long have you even thinking of divorcing me?!

"Five months ago, long before Kotoko's husband died. And just letting you know I do have prof. I hired a private detective just to sure, so that case I would have justification if I wanted to leave.

"So, you thought of everything?"

"Practically."

"Fine, I'll sign, but only after the dinner this weekend."

"What?"

"I never told you where I was having my meeting," she smirked. "It was in Kobe."

(A/N): Sorry this chapter was so short, but at least it is finally here. So much has happened to me, but one of the massive things is I'm finally done with my university life, and now can enjoy my life. However, I am dealing with family stuff as my grandfather just passed away. Honestly, that's another why I'm doing one chapter this week. Next week I should have at least two more chapters. But trust me it is going to get good after this. So please stay tuned.
