Ch. 53

(A/N): Um, so here is another chapter which I thought would be up sooner than I thought, but this month has been a serious emotional roller coaster for me. Besides my grandfather passing away, and my family is still trying to put his affairs in order, I have just not felt like myself. My main job has put me on stress because we have been short staffed, and I was extremely busy up until the break. There were also complications and most of them were not my fault. I am happy though that sense the last chapter update I have gotten knew followers (WELCOME!), but I did have a smi-rude comment saying, "Please update you little sh**", which I did not know how to respond to that. Also, it had only been two weeks when I last updated. However, as you can see that did not stop me, so here it is. I do not own MK-LT

Ch. 53

At the main Irie household everyone was sitting down at the dinner table enjoying each other's company while the kids, mostly Ayu, was telling them about their day. Kotoko wasn't shocked that the tennis coach had asked them if they wanted to join the tennis team. Her kids were ten times better at the game then she was, and it also helped that both their fathers were very good at sports.

"That's wonderful, kids!" exclaimed Kotoko. "If you decide to join the team then just let me know when we need someone to pick you up from practice and when your games are."

"Of course, mommy, but…"

Yuga just pat his sister's shoulders. "Don't worry mom, we will. I'll let the coach know what you said."

"Oh my gosh, my grandchildren are going to play tennis," Mrs. Irie said in excitement. "Just like-

"Their fathers," Kotoko finished with a smile.

At that Mrs. Irie felt a little embarrassed and guilty. Yuki had told her that Sara even played tennis when he was younger. "I'm sorry Kotoko. I got a little over exited about wanting to even get them knew practice gear."

"It's alright Aunty," Kotoko assured her. But then a thought hit her. "Um if you do decide to get them knew gear and whatever, you might want to go early as we have the dinner that night."

"Oh, right." After this morning watching the children walk to school, she saw Kotoko walking with another man. Mrs. Irie had been thinking all day how Kotoko knows the man, if she was opening her idea to dating. She also had thought what would happen if Kotoko dated again. Would she get married again? Would they go live with her knew in-laws.

But then again at the mention of the dinner with Sahoko's family brought her back to reality that her son was married and that there would never be a way for Kotoko to be her new "daughter."

"Oh, that should be fine, I'm sure we will have time before then."

After dinner as Kotoko was finishing getting the children ready for bed her phone was going off. She was surprised as it was her sister-in-law calling her.

"Hey Konako, what's up?"

"Um, Kotoko, has there been something you haven't told me about or something?"

Ever sense Kotoko has moved back she has been telling Konako everything that has been going on, so Kotoko was confused on what she was talking about.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I shouldn't really blame you as it has been a busy past few day, but I just got word from my mother that Sahoko Irie just invited us to have dinner with her whole family, and you and the kids!"

"She what?!" Kotoko was beyond shock. Everyone knew that she didn't have a good relationship with her in-laws, even if in the end they were a tiny bit nice in before they left for Tokyo.

"Yeah. It turns out the meeting my father had the other day was with that woman and she had told them about how you guys were having this big family dinner, and that it would be nice if they could come too."

Kotoko was growing matter by the minute.

"Kotoko, there is also something you should know, or at least I think you should know," stated Konako. "A couple of days ago I was at the hospital…"

Kotoko could feel the other woman beaming through the phone a little. "Oh my gosh your pregnant?"

Kanoko giggled just a little bit. "Yes, but that's not what I was calling about, but was going to tell you latter I promise!" she got out fast. "When I went to my appointment, I thought I saw her, but wasn't sure because…"

Kotoko was shocked. She could not believe her ears. "Kanoko, that couldn't be her then. Especially after every thing she has done and said so far-

"Kotoko, I saw her again when I went to the office yesterday," Konako said softly. "I wasn't going to say anything honestly, but after the invite, I don't know what's going on anymore."

"Neither do I."

(A/N): I did try to update this chapter before Thanksgiving Break, but my wifi did not want to work. The next chapter will be tomorrow and will be longer.
