"Lucy! Clothes!" Lip yelled at me. "You're only wearing boxers" I replied. "Yeah so? I've got the important bits covered, you have nothing on" he said. "I can see your boobs" I said and headed down the stairs. "Boys don't have boobs" Carl said and he pushed past me. "Then what are those?" I asked as I pointed to lips chest. "Nipples, guys only have nipples not boobs" Lip told me. "Why?" I asked as I sat down at the table. "Because we don't need boobs to feed babies" he answered as he walked over to the laundry. "What do your nipples do then?" I asked. Lip chucked me some undies. "I have no idea. Put those on. Conners still here" he said. "So?" I said but put them on. "What's for breakfast?" Carl asked. "Pancakes?" Conner suggested as he came downstairs. "Yes!" Carl and I yelled.

Mrs Beaufort had fallen asleep in her chair while I played the piano, I let her be and wandered off to find something else to do. It was windy and wet so no one was out playing. I went over to Lilly's and knocked on her door, her parents were one of the few that didn't mind other kids coming over. Her mom let me in. Lilly was playing in her room, it wasn't very exciting but I stayed a couple of hours before I headed home.

"Lucy!" Dad yelled out as I turned into our street. "Want to go for a train ride?" he asked. "Ok" I said eagerly as he grabbed my hand.

I sat on the bed as they wheeled Dad into the ER. "Our favourite Frank Gallagher, passed out on the L, nonresponsive, tachy" the emt said. Carol came over and took me off the bed. "Any idea what he has taken?" She asked. I shrugged, I had seen him snort some stuff and he had been sipping vodka all afternoon but I knew not to talk about that to anyone. "Ok Lucy, let's go grab something to eat and call your sister" she said. Dr Greene came over and patted me on my back "don't worry kid, Frank will be fine. He always is" he said. I nodded. "When did you get your cast off?" Carol asked as we walked over to the vending machine. "A couple of weeks ago, it's already sting again" I told her.

"Is daddy ok?" Debbie asked as Fiona rushed in with them. Dads yelling sounded through the corridor. "Sounds like it" Carol said. "Wow look at Liam! He has grown" she added. "Yeah he is 6 months now" Fi said. The new doctor looked a bit uncomfortable. "I want to see Daddy" Debbie said again. "Yeah where is he?" Carl said. "Let's let the doctors do their job and let them look after him. I'm sure he will come home once he is better" Fi said.

"You can't do a cartwheel Debbie" I said as we skipped along. "Yes I can" Debbie insisted. She stopped and put her hands up in the air. What she did next definitely wasn't a cartwheel. "Lucy!" Fiona called out and beckoned me back to her. "Good try Debbie!" she yelled out as well. Debbie smiled and span around a couple of times. "That was not a cartwheel" Carl said. "Shh, both of you" Fiona warned us and grabbed my hand. Carl ran over to Debbie. "What happened with dad?" Fi asked me. "We got some money so he got some stuff from Larry" I told her. She looked sad and I noticed a bruise on her cheek. "How did you get a bruise?" I asked her. "Oh, I don't know, maybe from someone hitting me with the cylinders yesterday" she joked and tickled my side. "You should see all the bruises I got" Debbie said as she walked back to us. "That's because you suck" Carl told her. I giggled and ran over to Carl and bumped into him, he bumped me back.

"Lucy are you ready?" Fiona asked. I got of the couch, she handed me a jacket and we headed over to v and Kevs. "Off to the Benitez?" Kev asked as we walked in. "Yes, how many do you want?" I asked as I climbed over the back of the couch and jumped onto his back. "20" he said. "Ok" I said. "Really? You better mean it. I'll be expecting 20 tamales" Kev said. "Yeah, I'll make way more then that" I said. "You are getting pretty good at it" V said as she walked into the room, I jumped off the couch and went over to her. "Better than you" I told her. "I don't know about that" v said then kissed Kev goodbye. "Yeah I am" I said as I nodded my head. "Well little Gallagher, you talk the talk but do you walk the walk?" V said. "I do" I told her and did a fancy walk, swaying my hips side to side. They are chuckled. "It's the tamales walk. Tamales, tamales, tamales" I said each time I popped my hip out, I put my hands in the air for extra effect too.

While the tamales steamed we danced. Susie's uncles played the guitar while everyone else sang. Susie and I span each other around as fast as we could. "Girls, girls, girls. That's too dangerous" Susie's Abuela said to us in Spanish. "Abuela, it's to fun to stop" I replied to her in Spanish. Susie laughed. "Mind your mouth Lucy" she told me and walked away. "You're Spanish is good" v said as she span me around. We continued to dance and joined in with the singing too.
