A/N: Hey hey hey! Guess who's back and here to stay! (for real this time). Yes after SIX whole years of waiting to get to the actual full premise of the story, here we are all fresh and new and ready and raring to get into it! A thousand apologies for taking so long–I sincerely hope the long wait was worth it. In fact, we'll be starting with a whole five parts today, and then a new one every day until the end! I'm aiming to post around the same time (1pm CST) every day for a consistent schedule.
Also, if you're an old follower/favoriter and haven't read in a while, I highly recommend going back and rereading Day 1. Last year I went through and re-edited the entire thing, adding a few scenes that will build better with the plot that kicks in later (and you better believe there's a plot!) And, let's be real, we could all probably use a refresher after so long anyway. :'D
Thanks to everyone old for your patience and willingness to continue despite the years between uploads, and thanks to everyone new for giving this wacky "what was Howl thinking in 2015" fic a go. Let's finish up this wild ride together.
The morning rays from the early dawn light were beautiful, much to Cobra's disgust. After staring at the sky for what seemed like forever, he went to wake up Sawyer and then debated on whether or not to sleep for a few more hours. If he did, by the time the rest of the group normally woke and left for the guild he'd be past the deadline to meet Lucy.
He glanced over at Macbeth, whose back was towards him. Practically a rock at this point. Cobra couldn't help but wonder how much his brain hated him to actually be going through with all this.
The answer was a whole lot, apparently.
Without a word to anyone, he left the camp; using his magic to make sure he avoided Sawyer, still on lookout. Luckily, the path to Fairy Tail from the camp was fairly straightforward, with theoretically nothing left but himself to potentially stop him.
Cobra gave a glance back at camp one last time. He was going to kill Macbeth if he came back to those morons laughing at him.
