The screen went on and a man with short black hair stood ready on a dock "Yo! We're comin' at you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario! I'm your host, Chris McLean. Dropping season one of the hottest new reality show on television right now! Here's the deal. Twenty-two campers have signed up to spend eight weeks right here at this crummy old summer camp. They'll compete in challenges against each other, then have to face the judgment of their fellow campers. Every three days, one team will either win a reward or watch one of their team members walk down the Dock of Shame, take a ride on the loser boat, [laughs] and leave Total Drama Island for good. Their fate will be decided here At the dramatic campfire ceremony, where each week, all but one camper will receive a marshmallow. A tall girl with red hair and a scouting outfit stood on the dock "Hello Chris! it's nice meet you" Lill said
"Uh… thanks Lill!
"But are we at the right place? I was sure you mentioned a resort" Lill said
"Yo, girl. This is it, Camp Wawanakwa!" Chris said
"Hmmm weird…" Lill said
"B! "Hello dawg!" Chris said
A plus sized guy with an orange cap showed up
"a silent type aren't you?" Chris said
B nodded
"well welcome!" Chris said and they shaked hands
"Hey, Wanda" Chris said
"What is this? you said we'd be on a resort!" Wanda said
"ye but I had to trick you guys into coming here in some way!" Chris said
"I'm not staying here, no way!" Wanda said "I quit!"
"No, you're staying here. My crib is an airstream with A.C. that-a-way" Chris said
"I did not sign up for this" Wanda said
"Actually, you did" Chris said
"Ugh… are you serious!" Wanda said "I'm taking the boat home right now!"
[boat horn honks]
"Jerk." Wanda said
music started and a guy with an orange hoodie and a camera walked onto the dock
"Chris McLean! Sup, man! can't believe im here!" Chase said
"Chase! Welcome to the island, man" Chris said
"Thanks, man!" Chase said
"They say "man" one more time, I'm gonna puke" Wanda said
"Everybody, this is Haley" Chris said
a girl with a ponytail, short pants and pink handwarmers stood on the dock
"Hi guys! I'm Haley! Hey, you look so familiar…" Haley said
"what? me?" Chase asked
"ye!" Haley said
"maybe it's cause you saw my amazing YouTube channel!" Chase said
"Oh ye, that's where I know you from!" Haley said
"Uh… Yeah moving on" Chris said
"Julia!" Chris said
"Hi Chris, I'm happy I could bring my meditation and peace to the game" Julia said
"wow you seem nice!" Haley said

"Jayce! Welcome dude!" Chris said
"you can't be serious. you said there would be a resort!" Jayce said

"I don't like this! and when I don't like something, there will be problems!" Jayce said

A boat horn honks
"Ladies and gentlemen, Star!" Chris said
a girl with green eyes, a star in her hair and a yellow jacket fell onto the dock
"ow!" Star said
"did you hurt yourself?" Lill asked

"let me help you up!" Lill said
suddenly a splash could he heard
"Ugh! My shoes!" Jayce said
"what was that?" Chris asked
"just me doing some stunts, ignore me!" Chase said
"Hi Shawn!" Chris said
"Hi… Chris…" Shawn said
"Is there anything?" Chris asked
"Why does he look scared?" Haley asked
"you-you're sure there aren't any z-zombies here? right?" Shawn asked
"Don't worry, this island is zombie-free! at least so I think, hehe" Chris said
"So that means there could still be zombies! We're gonna die!" Shawn said
B looked at him and slapped his face
"Contestant number nine is Aiden!" Chris said
"Hey Chris, nice to meet you! Also not to be annoying, but i counted and i'm the tenth contestant" Aiden said
"Hey, do not correct me ever. again." Chris said
"Sorry…" Aiden said
"Welcome Aiden, its nice to meet you!" Star said
"Aw thank you!" Aiden said
"You seem nice!" Star said

suddenly a girl with two flowers in her hair and a small yellow dress stood on the dock
"Hi Chris!" She said
"And there is Summer! Welcome to the island" Chris said
"Why are you in a dress, it's not summer" Jayce said
"I just think it looks good on me!" Summer said
"It does… not!" Jayce said
"Oh okay…" Summer sighed
"All right! Please stand by the others" Chris said
"All right!" Summer said and she accidentally stepped on Chris' foot
"Ow! Darn it! That hurt!" Chris said
"Oh no… I'm sorry!" Summer said
"Ye ye…" Chris said
"Hi guys!" Summer said
"H-hi… you aren't a zombie… right?" Shawn asked
"Of course not!" Summer giggled
"That's great!" Shawn said "I'm Shawn by the way"

"Okay, we've all met flower girl. Can we get on with the show, please?" Wanda said
"Could you calm down Wanda, Summer is just trying to be nice" Lill said
"Ye, don't be so mad" Aiden said

"Our… next camper is MK! short for Mary Kate" Chris said
"Hey Chris!" MK said as she sneakily stole his phone
"Uh uh! Give me my phone back!" Chris said
"I was just trying to trick you, hehe" MK said
"Sure you tried" Chris said
"Anyways, is this where we're staying?" MK asked
"No, it's your mother's house. And we're throwing a party!" Jayce said
"Wow, how funny." MK said
"Yeah I know I am" Jayce said
"What's up, Y'all? Nichelle Ladonna is here!" Nichelle said
"Oh my god I am a big fan!" Haley said
"Me too! you are an amazing actor!" Aiden said

B started waving at Nichelle but she ignore him leaving B with a sad face
"All right campers. Let's calm down now" Chris said
"and now introducing… Amy!
"Oh my gosh please don't tell me my twin is here" Amy said
"Who?" Chris asked
"thank god she isn't here" Amy said
"do you guys have beef?" Chase asked
"you could state that" Amy said
"Beardo! What's up, man?" Chris asked
Beardo made a sound
"oh yes I forgot you only make weird sounds" Chris said "now please go stand over there with the others"
Beardo made a sound meaning he understood it
"That's just… Wow" Amy said
"Cody. The Codester. The Codemeister!" Chris said
"Dude, psyched to be here, man. I see the ladies have already arrived. All right." Cody said
Cody tried to get a closer look on Nichelle
"Is that really you?" Cody asked
"If you mean Nichelle Ladonna, yes that's me!" Nichelle said
"Elicia! Nice. Glad you could make it" Chris said
"I am to, honestly, who wouldn't be" Elicia said

suddenly Star faints
"This is Alejandro. Welcome to Total Drama Island" Chris said
"Thanks, Chris. This is great!" Alejandro said
"Just so you know, we picked you based entirely on your looks" Chris said
"I can deal with that" Alejandro said
"I like your pants!" Cody said
"Uh… thanks?" Alejandro said
"Cause they look like they're all… Worn out. Did you buy them like that?" Cody giggled

"Ooh! That was bad!" Chase giggled
"Guys. She could be seriously hurt!" Alejandro said
"That felt… So… Good! Except for hitting my chin. This is a summer camp? That is so cool. Do you have paper maché here? Are we having lunch soon?" Izzy asked
"Good question…" Shawn said
"First things first! We need a group photo for the promos. Everyone at the end of the dock! Okay! One, two, three. Oops. Okay, forgot the lens cap! Okay, hold that pose! One! Tw– oh. No, wait. Card's full. Hang on." Chris said
"Come on man, my face is starting to freeze!" Nichelle said
"Got it. Okay, everyone say 'Wawanakwa!'" Chris said
"Wawanakwa!" everyone said, but the dock broke and they all fell into the water
"Okay guys. Dry off and meet at the campfire pit in ten!" Chris said
"This… is camp Wawanakwa, your home for the next eight weeks. The campers sitting around you will be your cabinmates, your competition, and maybe even your friends. Ya dig? The camper who manages to stay on Total Drama Island the longest without getting voted off will win $100,000!" Chris said
"Excuse me. What will the sleeping arrangements be?" Nolan asked
"They're not co-ed, are they?" Wanda asked
"No. Girls get one side of each cabin and dudes, get the other" Chris said
"Excuse me, Chris? Can I have a cabin with the lake view because I love it?" Haley asked
"That's not really how it works here Haley" Chris said
"Aw…" Haley said
"Ye figure something else out" Chris said
"Aww, c'mon guys! It'll be fun! It's like a big sleepover!" Victor said
"At least you don't have to sleep next to him" Nolan said as he pointed to Jayce
"Here's the deal. We're gonna split you into two teams. If I call your name out, go stand over there. Beardo. Aiden. Julia. Alejandro. Summer. Jake. Haley. Cody. Izzy. B. And… Nichelle. From this moment on, you are officially known as… The Screaming Gophers!" Chris said
"What even is a gopher?" Haley asked
"The rest of you over here. Jayce. Amy. Wanda. Victor. MK. Shawn. Lill. Chase. Star. Nolan. And… Elicia! Move, move, move, move!" Chris said
"We're better than the gophers anyways" Elicia said
"You guys will officially be known as… The Killer Bass!" Chris said
"It's a weird name but okey" Victor said
"All right, campers. You and your team will be on camera in all public areas during this competition. [confessional] You will also be able to share your innermost thoughts on tape with video diaries anytime you want. Let the audience at home know what you're really thinking. Or just get something off your chest" Chris said
[confessional] "Um… Okay. So far this sucks" Wanda said
[confessional] "Why is this in a toilet?" Jake asked

"All right. Any questions? Cool. Let's find your cabins" Chris said
"Gophers, you're in the east cabins. Bass, you're in the west" Chris said
"Bunk beds? Isn't this a little… Summer camp?" Wanda said
"That's the idea, genius" MK said
"Ugh. Shut up miss beanie" Wanda said
"You're so smart. I feel that" Cody said
"Shouldn't you be on the other team's side?" Lill asked
"Oh right hehe!" Cody said and he started running
"Where are the washing rooms? I have to do my makeup" Elicia said
"There is a communal bathroom somewhere there" Chris said as he pointed to a place
"Communal? Aww, no! C'mon!" Star said
"Excuse me, Chris?! Is there a chaperone of any kind in this facility?" Nolan asked
"You're all sixteen years old. As old as a counselor in training at a regular summer camp. So, other than myself, you'll be unsupervised. You got a half an hour to unpack and meet me back at the main lodge. Starting… Now!" Chris said
"Nice" Nolan said
suddenly Amy screamed
"Ooh man, that cheerleader girl can scream" Nichelle said
"Kill it! Kill it!" Amy pointed to a cockroach
"Ahhhh!" Haley also started screaming
"Let me do the job ladies" Alejandro said and hended put the cockroach into a jar and brought it outside
"You're my hero!" Amy said
"My hero too!" Haley said
"It was nothing!" Alejandro said
"If you ever see one of those again, just let me know, 'kay? 'Cause… Y'know… I can do that too!" Cody said
"Psh. You don't stand a chance against him dude" Nolan said
"Listen up! I serve it three times a day And you will eat it three times a day! Grab your tray, get your food, and sit your butts down now!" Chef said
"Excuse me. Will we be getting all the major food groups?" Julia asked
"You'll get a whole lot of shut the heck up!" Chef said
"Have a cow" Victor said to Jake
"What was that?! Come closer, little boy. I didn't hear you" Chef said
"Uh, I didn't really say anything important" Victor said
"I'm sure you didn't. You! Scrawny kid. Gimme your plate" Chef said and he threw food on it
"Hey, what's up, girl?" Nichelle said to Amy bit Amy ignore her
"Wow! Rude!" Nichelle said
"Next!" Chef said
"Excuse me. I'm on a diet so I don't know if I can eat this" Julia said
"I don't think that's gonna be a problem" MK said
"phew" Julia said
"Okay, I hate to be predictable and complain on the first day, but I think mine just moved" Wanda said
Chef slapped the meat
"Right. Okay then!" Wanda said
[squishing]
Chris: Welcome to the main lodge.
"Yo, my man. Can we order a pizza?" Chase asked
Chef threw a spatula at him
"Whoa! It's cool, G! Brown slop is cool! Ha, ha. Right, guys?" Chase said
"Your first challenge begins… In one hour!" Chris said
"What do you think they'll make us do?" Aiden asked
"It's our first challenge. How hard can it be?" Jake laughed
everyone stood on a 1000 meters high cliff
