"I wouldn't say this is exactly a love problem…I'm afraid to admit this is more than a little embarrassing…you people are anonymous, correct?"
"Yes, entirely anonymous." Cobra was impressed at the sheer bald-faced lie Lucy told. Well, she did give him a wink as she said it.
"Thank goodness. I'm not sure how the others would take it if they saw me entering in here. The person who suggested this wasn't even entirely sure himself, and I trust him but…" She began mumbling, and while Cobra felt an immediate kinship with the woman on the embarrassment factor alone, he also suppressed a sigh.
Great, he thought. Another weirdo coming in just to rant about who knows what. He noticed Lucy didn't so much as twitch her mouth at the woman's statement. "Oh, it's quite alright. I understand that this isn't everyone's idea of a respectable establishment." Another wink. Really? "But rest assured. Even if it's not about love specifically, or if it's just you talking through something, we're more than happy to help!"
"Well, it is tangentially related...perhaps. I keep turning it around in my head and it gets more jumbled every time." The top part of the figure swayed back and forth, shaking its head. "Oh, enough of me babbling, let me explain my dilemma."
