Back at the Metaverse

"Uh? Guys? Where are we?" Jaune asked them. They were once in Emerald Hill Zone but their friends have vanished. The Grass turned crimson red and the landscape more twisted and dangerous. This was Spinel Rough Zone.

"The Metaverse." Weiss answered. Haruka's outfit became more revealing while still wearing the Lab coat. Mercury whistled at her body.

"I wouldn't if she were to- Oof!" Emerald snapped him out of Haruka's sight. "Sorry." Metal Sonic rushed at the Heiress where she parried his attack. Team Sonic, Team RWBY and Team JNPR ran from them.

Soundtrack Play: Sonic Mania - Vs. Metal Sonic

The rest started to chase after them. Emerald took out her weapon, Thief's Respite, and shot them. Jaune and Pyrrha blocked the shots with their shields. Knuckles dived underground and dug under where Emerald was. Doing a surprise uppercut at her.

"See ya!" Knuckles said as he rolled back to his friends. Emerald got back up. Haruka threw vials of chemicals at everyone. Exploding as they all dodged the vials and running down a hill. Entering into a Boost-like state where they left afterimages behind.

"Like you think you're the only ones can do it." Cinder and the rest grabbed a trails of rings and entered the same speed as them while Metal Sonic boosted with an electrical spark surrounding him.

"We gotta lose them!" Tails before...

"RISE!" The Demonic voice said as Platforms and the ground began to rise. Flinging the heroes into a place unknown. Metal Sonic flew to where they're heading with Cinder, Emerald, Mercury and Haruka following.

With Team Sonic, Team RWBY and Team JNPR

They landed on the somewhere unknown.

"OOF!"

"Ugh... What the heck happened to Emerald Hill?"

"The "Phantom Ruby". Right?" Knuckles nodded. "And that ground that flew us away from the attack? That's a part of this twisted looking zone?"

"Exactly. Trust us. It gets on our nerves as well on top of getting near to close death." Tails pulled out a Miles Electric to see if he could contact anyone outside of the Metaverse. He managed to get one.

"-Ey! -ils? Are you here?"

"Vector! Where are you guys?"

"We're trapped in a capsule! We're supposed to open the capsule in front of us when this sprung up and captured us here!

"Hey! Watch the Tail!"

"Sorry!"

"If you're out of the Metaverse. Can you free us?"

"Will do! We just gotta know where we should-" An explosion was heard. "Call you back! Later!" Tails put away the machine as everyone turned to see Metal Sonic and the others about to attack them. Sonic and Tails went against Mercury and Metal Sonic. Knuckles went against Emerald. Team RWBY and Amy went against Cinder and Team JNPR went against Haruka.

"So you must be the hedgehog Roman and the giant talking egg keeps talking about."

"That's right." Sonic dodged his kicks which were attached with Talaria, his weapon. "That weapon of yours and the way you attack reminds me of Bayonetta and Majima."

"Really? Who are they?"

"A Witch and a Yakuza you shouldn't mess with." Sonic then grabbed and spindashed him at Metal Sonic who was fighting with Tails.

"Thanks!" Tails then pulled arm cannon and blasted Metal Sonic who just recovered. Mercury went towards the fox. Tails jumped to avoid his weapon and swipe him. Metal Sonic fast approached his organic counterpart. The two clashed.

"How's it going Metal? Looking more hideous than usual." Sonic taunted the machine before Yang punched the Badnik. Cinder pulled out Midnight and rushed at Weiss. Weiss summoned out a Glyph to avoid getting hit. Blake tried to shoot her Cinder

Cinder then switched her weapon into bow mode. Pulling out throws and shot at Amy. Pyrrha threw Akóuó at the arrows. Cutting them in half before they could hit Amy. The pink hedgehog threw her hammer at Cinder before the hammer came back. Hitting her again.

"I appreciate the help! (I am glad Sora taught me this move before suddenly disappearing.)"

"You're welcome!" Pyrrha then turned back to see a metal fist coming at her. She blocked the attacked. It was Haruka's Badnik, Amanō.

"Fufu~ This Badnik has gotten some improvements over the last fight I had with your friends~"

"And you jinxed it!" Nora slammed Magnhild at the Badnik before switching it to a Grenade Launcher and shooting at it. She assumed she destroyed it as the grenade hit the Badnik. Amanō came back unscathed and punched Nora. Sending her flying into a aging palm tree. Ren rushed towards the scientist. Taking out Stormflower and attacked the Scientist's personal Badnik.

It blocked Ren's attacks before punching him. Nora jumped backed into the action and grabbed her friend as the two attacked both Haruka and Amanō. The Badnik blocked Nora's hammer while Haruka dodges Ren's slice. Knuckles attacked Emerald, only for her to disappear whenever he landed a hit.

"Where the heck are you?!" Knuckles sensed something and just barely dodging the sickles that were thrown at him. Everyone then heard howling. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Team RWBY knew who those howlings were. New variants of the PhantomWolves ran towards in a pack. They were covered in an hot mist. Their armor were Iron-like and moved more even more slower compared to their lava-rock heavy counterparts.

Heavy Iron Illusion - HeatWolves

The Grimm went towards Metal Sonic. He grabbed it and crushed it's head.

"You think we could put a pin on us fighting each other and fighting against them?" Yang dodged Cinder's attack. "Guess not." She remarked. She grabbed a HeatWolf and Cinder stabbed it instead of Yang. Jaune struggled with killing the Grimm compared to the ones he fought outside of the Metaverse. Opting to slash and dodge instead. Knuckles saw this and punched the Grimm. Shattering it's Iron armor, giving Jaune the opportunity to kill it.

Emerald threw her weapon at the HeavyWolf and pulled it towards her with Mercury simultaneously kicking and shooting it in the face. More came towards them before Amanō blocked their way. Haruka threw vials of Acid to their faces. Howling in pain before her Badnik punched them. Hordes were coming more and more, they were getting overwhelmed.

"There's too many!"

"Then we'll leave!" Sonic said as he, his friends, Team RWBY and Team JNPR ran. Leaving Metal Sonic and the others to fend for themselves. Metal Sonic, however, saw them and let out a huge energy blast. Blowing most of the HeatWolves away.

"Thanks." Mercury said. Metal Sonic started to chase them as everyone else. The Grimm chased them.

Soundtrack Play: Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis Ver.) - Volcano Valley

"They're catching up to us!"

"Then how about a Team Bo-" Sonic got interrupted by the ground shaking.

"ERUPT!" The ground cracked, growing small and big Volcanos as it spewed out Lava.

"We split up." Team Sonic, Team RWBY and Team JNPR went three separate paths. The Volcano erupted to where Team Sonic was. The fire that came from the eruption set the grass on fire. Tails flew. Grabbing Sonic, Knuckles and Amy away from the fiery grass. "This is gonna get even worse once we got to Oil Ocean Zone."

With Team RWBY

The four girls entered the middle road.

"CRUMBLE!" The Loops collapsed. Yang spindashed and broke all of the rubble that blocked their way with the destroyed loop now being a Ramp. A Flock of smaller nevermores went after them. Like the HeatWolves, Their armor was Iron-like. Though their feathers were now Lava covered.

Chicken Hot Pots - Firemore

Ruby, Weiss and Blake stabbed the creatures while Yang grabbed them and chucked one at another Phantom Ruby powered Grimm.

"GAH! HOT! HOT! HOT!" Yang quickly put out the fire in her hands. Weiss didn't bother to give any response as her saying nothing had gave it away it away.

With Team JNPR

The Team took the low path. Entering a cave with the bridge being above the Magma below.

"There's no way I'm running over there without this bridge breaking."

"We'd Risk either that or become those beowolves' lunch." Ren said. Jaune thought about it before the snarls of the HeatWolves were heard. Everyone ran to the Bridge. One of the bubbles popped, the splash from it was able to burn the Bridge down. Nora, Pyrrha and Ren made it out while Jaune screamed as held onto the Bridge. He climbed up with Pyrrha and Ren giving him a helping hand.

"Phew. That was close." The HeatWolves stopped to see the gap between them and Team JNPR. It was then they jumped into the Magma and started swimming. Being completely unaffected by the burning. "Oh you gotta be kidding me right now?!" Nora pulled out Magnhild. Switching it to it's Grenade Launcher mode and shot the Grimms that were swimming in the hot magma before leaving.

With Metal Sonic and the Others

Metal Sonic stopped to see where the heroes went. Scanning to where the foot tracks they left behind. He spotted several but the upper path seemed the fastest route. He pointed the others to take the others paths while he goes out to find Sonic himself. He passed through the burning field as fire did absolutely nothing to him. Rocks erupted from the Volcano, Landing to where Metal Sonic was at. He started glowing electricity and drilled through the big ball of fire that was gonna destroy him.

Emerald and Mercury speed through the ramp. Jumping over the rubble.

"IMPALE!" The Rocks then grew into soikes. The Duo stylishly dodged them. Helping each other destroy the rocks that were gonna kill them. The Firemore flock came at them. They went into a Corkscrew loop, bounced off a spring and narrowly rolled down a hole.

Cinder, Haruka and Amanō went underground to see the bridge between them destroyed. Haruka sighed.

"Amanō?" The Badnik laid it's giant hands flat. Cinder and Haruka walked onto the Badnik's hands as it carried them above the Magma below. HeatWolves tried to reach the three. Both the black and brunette haired girl attack them with their respective weapons.

"How pitiful. Just as weak as they are in the real world." Cinder commented.

With the Heroes

"Do you think everyone else made it out from the paths they've taken?" Knuckles asked. RWBY was covered in soot while JNPR was sweating.

"So... much... fire..." Nora collapsed. "When are we gonna get out of this hell zone?"

"Not sure." Metal Sonic landed. Heat Waves surrounded the Badnik. Mercury and Emerald, now covered in dirt, landed. Cinder, Amanō and Haruka, came out unscathed though.

"Can you guys ever just give up?"

"No. I don't think we won't." Emerald said with a smug hint in her voice.

"Figures." HeatWolves surrounded them.

"Tsk. Looks like we don't have no choice."

"Seems like it." All of them stood still. Waiting for the opportunity to attack as did the Grimm themselves. One of them was begging to throw hands at each other. The Volcano then started erupt.

Soundtrack Play: Freedom Planet - Meanie Boss!

They all started to clash against each other to the point where they've created a storm. HeatWolves tried to run away from the storm but were sucked in. The storm stopped and ended off in an explosion.

"TEAM BOOST!" The heroes boosted out of there, Running at high speeds. The villains followed them with the same boost and speed. Bouncing off and destroying the objects Rough Spinel Zone had to offer.

"I'm surprised you're still keeping this up!"

"The surviving cameras in Lab Labyrinth recorded that boost of yours."

"Why am i surprised?" Metal Sonic's eyes started blinking.

"Oh? You found one already? Good. We need those."

"We better hurry up and get one of the Chaos Emerald" The group grabbed the rings to get an additional boost. Heading to a path to the left while the villains went to the right. They entered a cave. Absolutely annihilating a horde of Grimms being in the area.

"Hang on!" Tails grabbed Sonic with the rest grabbing on each other's legs as the fox flew. Team JNPR were rather surprised by how strong he was carrying them and their friends without breaking a sweat. Tails flung them with Amy taking the lead. She grabbed the others and pulled out her hammer. Hitting the spring in front of them to bounce off even farther. Screaming out in excitement, Weiss then took the lead and summoned out glyphs to get more additional jumps.

"Hey! Let me take a crack at it!" Nora smashed out rock pillars. Firemores went towards the group. Ren and Blake quickly shot them one by one.

"How close are we to the Emerald?" Tails pulled the Miles Electric to search if they were close to the Emerald. They were not too far away but five red dots were close to it. The eruption of the Volcano led the lava to quickly spew out where the group

"We better hurry!"

"Then let's kick things up a notch!" Ruby and Sonic took the lead. The two left a yellow trail. Curiously, the others ran on it. They started to glow yellow before getting out of it, running even faster. Seeing the end of the cave being a dead end. Knuckles, Yang and Nora broke the walls of the cave. Flying out of there. Pyrrha spotted an Emerald below the ground.

"I think i saw an Emerald!" The group skydived to a hill. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Team RWBY rolled down a hill while Amy and Team JNPR simply landed and continued running. They were so close to getting the purple Chaos Emerald before someone else snatched it.

Soundtrack Ended

"What?" The group were flabbergasted.

"Thanks for the Emerald. The Doctor and Boss will thank you for this." Spinel Rough reverted back into Emerald Hill Zone. It was night time.

"Why you!" Yang and Knuckles ran up to attack Haruka who held the Emerald. She threw a smoke bomb down. The two covered their eyes before opening them to see that Metal Sonic, Emerald, Mercury, Haruka and Cinder were gone.

"Tsk. Looks like they've gotten those Emeralds first before we did."

"Not if we can get the other six first." Nora walked to see two capsules in front of them.

"Uh? Are these the capsules our friends are stuck in?" Tails pulled up the Miles Electric again. This time, he called Vector. The capsules started to shake.

"Hey Guys! We're stuck in here! Let us out!" Tails jumped on top of the button. Setting everyone free.

"BLAH! IT WAS STEAMING IN THERE! WHAT TOOK YOU GUYS SO LONG?!"

"Fighting and Emerald hunting."

"We were close to getting one of the seven emeralds but it looks like one of Eggman and Roman's lackeys got to them first."

"Ah."

"What about that other capsule?" Blake jumped on the capsule. Releasing the animals and five other people.

"Uh? What happened? We were in AGES and the next thing i know, we blacked out."

"Kamiyama! Sakura! Are you and your team okay?"

"Yeah.."

"Okay. Any chance you remembered anything that happened since Eggman kidnapped everyone?"

"All i can remember is that he was gonna turn us into robots?" Sakura answered.

"Eggman even talked about bringing the Death Egg back and getting that Wily guy involved." Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy widen their eyes.

"We better move. Now." They went running. RWBY, Chaotix and the others followed Sonic and his friends.

"Death Egg? What in oum's name is that?"

"Space Station. Prisoner. Tails. Contact Rock." Tails called Megaman.

"Hey! Tails? Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. MegaMan? Are you in Chemical Plant Zone?"

"Yes. Why?"

"We'll be on our way there. We just set our friends free. We'll talk once we get there."

"See you Tails." Contact between the two ended as the heroes began heading to the next Zone. Chemical Plant Zone

Team Sonic, Team RWBY and Team JNPR has passed Emerald Hill Zone Act 2: Spinel Rough Zone! They've reunited with their friends and The Imperial Combat Revue's Flower Division has joined the group. Now onto the next Zone! Chemical Plant Zone.

Happy Memorial Day everyone. I deeply apologize for the wait. These last two weeks after i published RWBY The Hedgehog 2 have been kinda busy for me but you don't have worry. I'm still active. After playing the Freedom Planet 2 Demo on Steam. I'm kinda getting excited for it. I have the first game. I liked it, despite some of it's shortcomings. I have also been told by my brother that Judgement and it's sequel, a series of action games made by the same folks who also made Yakuza, has combat that's on the same level as Devil May Cry. Maybe i should get into it. I'm a huge sucker for games with really good combat.
