"I must say, this was not what I expected at all when I came into this place."

"We get that a lot actually," Lucy laughed in sync with her. Cobra merely exhaled silently, his shoulders letting go of the unexpected tension in them. He didn't want to admit it, but he had been just an ounce worried before the storm passed. Watching Lucy's face slowly crinkle with laughter certainly helped put his mind at ease–another thing he would have loathed to admit at the moment.

"Is there anything else you wanted to ask of us? We'd be more than happy to help with any other questions you had."

"As much as I appreciate your willingness I feel it would still weigh on me if I took up too much of your time." The silhouette bowed in the chair and moved to stand up. "I must express once again how grateful I am that you helped me with this. I think I will take some of your advice and talk to some of the guild members about this as well. I…may come back to let you know how things went."

"Certainly! That would be lovely!"

He could tell that the figure on the other end also smiled. Then, he heard a strangely heartfelt thought from within her.

Perhaps Max is right about more things than I give him credit for. I'll have to reward him for this little find...

The thought gave Cobra pause. It almost sounded like something he should report about to Lucy…or not. A memory of the serious expression on her face and the single-minded determination made him keep the thought he'd heard to himself. It wasn't as if Mirajane would fact-check him on it either way. As he was thinking all that, Minerva turned and made her exit out the other side.
