Suddenly she put a finger up in revelation. "Oh, but it's actually quite fortunate that you mentioned this now! I'm meeting up with the person who's renting out the storefront to me today. It's possible they'd know of someone who'd know of me. Yes," she put a fist in her hand, "that's got to be it!"
Annoyed, Cobra glared at her. "You're telling me that the guy might just be a creepy friend of a friend?"
"Hey, better that than a stalker! Or worse…a prying city official." All three of them shuddered at that. "I'll ask her about it and get it cleared up for you, ok? If it's not someone she knows about, then I'll find a way to investigate further. I don't want either of you getting hurt." Cobra snorted at that, and he noticed Lucy remaining silent.
"Just what are you meeting the owner for anyway? Don't tell me, you two share the same thoughts on…affection." He didn't even want to say the L-word aloud.
