This in an alternate universe and these characters weren't in the show and all live in apartments in NYC

Also, I exaggerated Bridgette and Geoff so make it engaging. If you guys are true Geoff and Bridgette fans, I'm sorry if I made them OOC but I did it because I thought it would be funny.

As Bridgette was sitting on her white couch with her head in her knees, Gwen sat next to her, in attempts to console with her friend.

Bridgette and her boyfriend, Geoff, had broken up last night over an argument they were having. They had been together for almost two years and were known for the amount of times they broke up and got back together. In all honesty, the reason was quite stupid, as always, but Gwen had believed it was a big deal after watching her friend cry over the break-up. Bridgette hadn't told her the reason because it 'hurts to much'.

"Look, it's fine, alright? You just have to try take your mind off it and you'll feel better." Gwen reassured, patting Bridgette's back.

The blonde lifted her head away from her knees as she glared at Gwen. "And how would I take my mind off him. Geoff was my boyfriend, okay? That's like... impossible! You can't just, like, forget someone you love." Bridgette exclaimed as if trying to justify her love for Geoff. "I love Geoff!"

Gwen clenched her fist at Bridgette. Sure, she loved her best friend but she couldn't believe how stupid she was sounding at the moment.

"Well why don't you go back with him if you love him so much?" Gwen retorted back. It was so simple yet Bridgette is just trying to complicate it. She thought. "It's as easy as that."

Once again, Bridgette slammed her head in between her knees, letting out another exaggerated groan to express how dumb Gwen was sounding. "You're not in a relationship, Gwen. You don't get it! I actually love this man but he broke my heart."

"I guess we're both on the same boat now." Gwen claimed, talking about how Bridgette was also single now.

"You're no help," Bridgette stated. "I could ask anyone else and I'd probably get more help from them than from you."

In that moment, Gwen removed the hand from Bridgette's back and crossed her arms. "Bridgette, I'd hate to break it to you but I'm your only friend and it's probably another stupid fight again so I suggest you go to Geoff's apartment and then you'll be sucking faces again." Gwen deadpanned. "Although, it's nice to see a break from all that."

"Not cool." Bridgette scoffed, readjusting her position so that she was now sitting properly and holding onto the stuffed animal Geoff bought her.

"Just great." Gwen muttered to herself as she blew a bang out of her face in frustration. She was already getting sick of this and just wants Bridgette to get back with Geoff so she doesn't have to sulk about it. "Look Bridge, what do you want me to do to make you feel better?"

Interested in Gwen's offer, Bridgette turned to face Gwen, smiling. "Well, there is this marketplace a couple blocks from here where Geoff and I used to go and buy me a-"

"Stuffed dolphin. That'd be cool of you, Duncan." Geoff claimed, longingly staring at the picture of him and Bridgette which on the table next to his bed.

Moving on from Gwen and Bridgette, here is what's going on between Geoff and Duncan.

As Duncan noticed Geoff staring at the picture, Duncan walked over to it and flipped it over so he couldn't see anymore as he glared at him with a look which looked like it was saying, 'Are-you-fucking-stupid-dude?'. "Dude, I'm giving you this opportunity and you want a fucking dolphin!? You're so lame." Duncan scoffed.

"No it's not, man! It reminds me of my Bridgey-bear!" Geoff protested, letting out an overdone scoff as well.

"Firstly, I'm not going to be walking around flaunting your dolphin, alright buddy? And next, I'm offering this so you can forget about your little girlfriend, not mope about her." Duncan said, shaking his head in disapproval of what Geoff had chosen. He was disappointed in how sucky his best friend had gotten. "So I'll ask you again before I regret it, what do you want me to do for you?"

Geoff solemnly looked down as he flopped onto the bed. "Dude... just grab the dolphin. I swear, that's the only thing that's gonna make me feel better right now, man."

The answer was an easy no for Duncan. He wasn't going to do that... but seeing how down his friend looked as he was staring at the picture frame of him and Bridgette and Duncan let out a deep sigh in annoyance. "Fine." He agreed, snatching the picture away from Geoff and placing it back in its place.

"I owe ya a lot, dude! Thanks!" Geoff thanked, sitting up on bed, beaming.

"Yeah, yeah," Duncan rolled his eyes, walking up to the front door before sharply turning around. "But you better not text Bridgette."

Crap. "Aw man," Geoff sighed, dropping his phone onto the table. "You know where the stall is, right? It's just down the street where Bridge and I-"

"I know where it is. Later."

It had been about ten minutes and Gwen had been looking for the stall. It was this one specific stall Bridgette loved and you had to knock out ten clowns with feeble beanbags and this had to be done in a time limit.

As she was wandering around for the stall, she bumped into a familiar figure.

"Watch it, man!" Duncan yelled as he turned around to see Gwen. "Oh, it's just you, Sweetheart. Almost didn't see you. What are you here for? Stalking me?"

"No!" Gwen snapped. "I'm just looking for a stall and you're in the way so if you could just move that'd be p-"

Instead of listening to Gwen's words, Duncan sidestepped her and enjoying the fury building up within her. "Never thought this kind of place was your type of crowd, Sweetheart. Aren't you afraid of being surrounded a lot of people... Acrophobia?"

Sweetheart was a nickname Duncan had always called Gwen to get a reaction out of her. As you could tell, Gwen and Duncan go way back and had despised each other for the longest time. It was more of Gwen resenting and Duncan being the cause but potato, potato.

"That is a fear of heights, genius. Mine is a fear of tight spaces and it's claustrophobia." Gwen retorted, scrunching her nose at Duncan. "Dumbass."

The punk let out a chuckle from the look Gwen was sending him. "I thought you had that fear too. Being five-feet-tall and all, I bet the idea of reaching average height is a little freaky, huh?"

Letting out a grumble, Gwen tried to move past Duncan as she said, "Laugh it Duncan, I have places to be so move." She claimed, pushing Duncan away and trying to find the stall. "Now where is that stall?" She silently thought out loud. Why does she even want a stuffed animal of a dolphin? She's twenty for goodness sake, not five!

"Need help?" Duncan inquired, snapping Gwen out of her trance.

"If I need help, I would ask," Gwen claimed, still scanning the giant marketplace. "A reliable sources. Not you."

"Ouch, that stings, goth girl." Duncan responded, pretending to be offended before realising Gwen wasn't listening. "What's the point of all that staring? You find anything yet?"

Gwen shook her head, taking a couple steps and frantically searching for a dolphin. Any dolphin. It doesn't matter. She just wants to quickly buy one and leave. "I'm trying to look for something so shut up and leave." Gwen said until she spotted the blue animal hanging on the top of the stall. "Dolphin!" She shrieked running over to the stall.

From hearing the words, Duncan's eyes widened. He had to get one too. "Where!?" He asked and realised Gwen was running away as he followed and now the two were in front of the stall, staring down at each other. "Guess it's fate to put us together, huh? Lucky you."

"You just followed me here!" Gwen protested.

Moving onto Bridgette who was sulking on the couch with her neighbour, Harold over. They were really good friends from the day Harold had moved into the apartment next to Bridgette's. Now because Gwen was gone to fetch the dolphin, Bridgette had called Harold to rant about Geoff.

Bridgette rested back on the couch, kicking the pillow away as she sighed. "You think he's thinking about me right now."

"No." Harold flatly responded with no hint of sympathy towards Bridgette.

"What!?" Bridgette shrieked, falling off the couch and landing in a giant 'thud'. She raised up as she glared at Harold with her hands on her hips. "Wait—are you for real? What do you mean? He's not in love with me anymore!?"

Harold shrugged in response, adjusting his glasses. "Well... based on what you told me, it kinda sounds like Geoff doesn't really feel the same way anymore."

"No way! He can't get over that quickly!" Bridgette shrieked before staring at Harold with a serious expression. "You really think he doesn't love me.." Before Harold could utter another word, the blonde let out a gasp. "What if it's Heather? Maybe that's why we broke-up!"

Heather? That's a jump. Like she would ever go for Geoff.Harold thought in his mind before halting up. "I thought you wanted me to tell you Geoff didn't love you anym-Hey!"

Now, Bridgette was dragging marching Harold out of the house with the tub of ice-cream which she had been holding in her hands for the last half-an-hour as she ranted about how much she loved her 'Geoffy-pie' to Harold. She didn't listen to Harold and was dragging him with her to Geoff's house to confront Geoff.

"We're confronting Geoffy—I mean, Geoff."

Carnival games are always scams. The biggest rip-offs and Gwen and Duncan knew better than to continue attempting to get the prize because in the end, they'll be the ones losing money. But also since the other might have a chance at. winning the prize, the two continued bargaining, attempting to win the dolphin. There was only one dolphin..

It was now Gwen's turn and she had two more beanbags to toss before her turn was up. She had knocked down all except one clown and Duncan's mocking only increased.

"Try not to throw it at the owner again. You might've knocked over a tooth." Duncan taunted, as he watched Gwen clench her fists. "Short-tempered, huh? Not surprised."

Gwen was about to toss the beanbag but stopped when she heard Duncan's remarks and took a deep breath.Calm down, calm down, calm down..Nope. She thought as she faced Duncan and threw a beanbag at his face, hitting the mouth. "Oh, I might've knocked over another tooth there but at least I didn't hit the owner again."

Infuriated, Duncan took the beanbag which Gwen had thrown and made sure to throw it and waste Gwen's beanbag and ruin her chances to attain the dolphin. And, he made sure not to hit the clown. "Oh yeah? Well, you just lost a beanbag." He claimed as he grinned back at Gwen. "Let's see if you can get that last one."

There was only one beanbag left. If Gwen loses this again, she was going to lose it. "Alright, we'll see."

With the last beanbag in her hand and zoning out Duncan's word, Gwen threw it, extending her arm and leaning over as far in hopes to hit the clown.

"Careful. You don't want to humiliate yourself anymore do you now?" Duncan claimed but his words were put to shame when the bell rung and... the last clown fell over. Gwen won. "What-but how?"

"And the dolphin goes to the lady!" The owner claimed, handing the stuffed animal to Gwen. "Good job!"Finally. He thought.

Gwen smiled gracefully and took the toy and saying a little thank you before she shoved it in Duncan's face to show how she won the game. "You see that, Duncan? I won!" She claimed cheerfully. In contrast, Duncan rolled his eyes, annoyed he didn't win until he had an idea. "...Hey!" She shrieked as Duncan started tugging onto the dolphin too. "Stop it! I won it! It's mine now so stop being a sore loser!"

"No chance, Sweetheart. I'm stronger than you." He claimed, jerking the toy but Gwen was using all her body strength so it pulled her too. "You might as well give up, you know."

"Giving up? Not happening. I won this, Duncan. Deal with it." She responded, pulling it back but it wasn't coming back because of Duncan's firm hold.

The two continued bickering as the owner was trying to sort it out but neither of the two would listen. They were too busy trying to pry the dolphin away from each other and was quite stunned by the vigour the other had.

"You know what you should deal with? That you-" Duncan was mid-sentence on firing his insult until they heard a giant 'rip' some. "Aw shit."

The two glanced away from the toy and now to each other. Duncan was awkwardly chuckling at the incident while Gwen was narrowing her eyes at Duncan. "Now look what you did, Duncan! Why are you even here, fighting for a stupid dolphin? Now we both just lost thirty bucks and the dumb prize!" She spat.

"The two of you, quit it. There's another stall and they're selling more of these, alright? Just go straight and you'll see it." The owner explained, hoping to break the tension. "It's just a toy."

"When is Duncan coming back, dude! I'm so boored!" Geoff groaned as he banged his head onto the door of the fridge. He was very tempted to call and go back with Bridgette but Duncan was right, they need to be away from each other for sometime. Right now, they've been apart for a couple of hours. They were spent sleeping. "Maybe I should call her.."

So now, Geoff had to distract himself from his phone... or the keys.

As Geoff was now scavenging through his room for something to do, he spotted pencils.Drawing? I guess it's better than nothing.

So there Geoff was, drawing a seal. His favourite animal. But as he was drawing the shark, memories of him and Bridgette meeting a seal flooded his almost non-existent brain as he wiped a slight tear. They broke up.

"I miss my snuggle muffin, dude." He stated and picked up a phone... and called Duncan. "Dude! When are you coming back? It's been forever!" Geoff yelled to the phone.

"Geoff, I was gone for like twenty minutes. Hold on, alright? Gwen just broke the dolphin thing so now we're trying to find another one." Duncan explained in a low voice. "And don't tell her this but she was totally doing it because I told her I was buying it for you."

With that being said, Gwen who was right next to Duncan punched his arm. "You broke mine!" She stated, giving Duncan another hard punch on the arm.

"Knock it off!" Duncan grunted as he shoved Gwen away and turned his attention back to Geoff on the phone again. "Do you really need a dolphin, dude? That's like super lame of you."

Geoff nodded. "Definitely. Hurry back, or I might have to call Bri."

"What?" Duncan asked.

"Nothing. Later, man." Geoff said, tossing his phone onto the couch with a grin, clearly not too concerned.

As soon as the call ended, there was a knock and some voices outside of his door with a knock. They were pretty loud. "Just do it. Gosh!" One said.

Forgetting about Bridgette for a moment, he peered over and cautiously opened the door to see Bridgette and her neighbour, Harold.

"Uh..."

Just before, Duncan had been on call with Geoff and when he was on call, he shoved Gwen away and now she ended up bumping into some random old man who yelled, "Oi! Get a hold of yourself, woman!"

And for Duncan, he continued walking, trying to find the stuffed animal as soon as possible so he could leave. As he was walking, he felt someone run up to him and starting walking with him.

"I see you didn't get lost in the crowd." Duncan claimed, his hands in the pockets of his saggy jeans. "Half-expected you to get trampled over."

"Ha ha, you are hilarious. I can make myself around a crowd without having to threaten them all to move with my knife." Gwen retorted, rolling her eyes at Duncan. "You don't need to be concerned about me."

Duncan cocked an eyebrow as he looked down at her. "Concerned? More like having to go through the burden of getting a search party to find you." He retaliated.

"You sure you're not concerned? 'Cause you're willing to get a search party for me." Gwen shot back, giving Duncan a nudge.

"Yeah, you caught me." Duncan jokes and Instead of leaving it like that and being mature, Duncan does the opposite and nudges her harder which makes her tumble onto the ground. This time, Duncan strolled over to her, staring down at Gwen who was now on the floor. "Not as tough as you think you are, huh? I barely nudged you and here you are, on the floor."

As Gwen scowled at Duncan from the floor, with a mix of sarcasm and annoyance, Gwen couldn't help but make a remark. "How gentlemanly of you, Duncan. When I fall, do you help me up? Noo, you have to state that you 'barely' nudged me." She finger-quoted. "Guess chivalry really is dead, huh?"

With that, Duncan leaned in and scooped Gwen up in his arms and started walking the direction the owner had pointed to before. "Dead, huh?"

"You sure know how to revive a girl. What's next? Flowers?" Gwen asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Ha! You want flowers now? I knew it! You're a poser and I bet you're enjoying this." Duncan answered and playfully rocking her as he watched her squeal and grab Duncan's arm. "Look at you. Making yourself all comfortable while I do all the heavy lifting."

Gwen stopped squeezing Duncan's arm as she placed it in her usual position: Crossed. "Oh please, I'm not heavy and I'm certainly not enjoying it. Now put me down, already."

"You're not enjoying it? I'm giving you a free and exclusive ride by me!"

"Oh I must be the luckiest girl in the world." Nonchalance and sarcasm dripping in every word. "Can you put me down now?"

Again, he started slightly rocking Gwen to aggravate her. "Oh right, I forgot. You have claustrophobia. You're scared of heights." Duncan stated, slowly lowering Gwen. "I guess I should put you down."

"It's acrophobia and you're like an inch taller than me. I'll be fine." Gwen shot back. "Also, I'm not scared of heights."

"Oh so you want me to continue carrying you? Alright then, I'll do what you wish. I'm also pretty offended that you think I'm like five-foot because for your information, I'm nearly six-foot." Duncan responded as he stopped lowering her and readjusted his grip again as Gwen started moving around a lot which bugged him. "Could you stop moving for like five seconds?"

"Could you just put me down?" Gwen sassed back.

And their bickering kept going on until they finally arrived back to the stall with the dolphins and Duncan finally placed Gwen down.

The exes sort of stared at each other and tried to come up with full sentences but both were scared and kept talking over each other, leaving the presence to be very, very awkward.

Harold on the other-hand was unamused and just staring at them with disgust. This is honestly just... so embarrassing.

"I... uh, can't believe you're here Babe-I mean, Bridgette. I thought after everything... we were through." Geoff admitted scratching his neck and looking away in embarrassment. "I'm happy you're here though."

It felt as if there was a big lump in Bridgette's throat. She couldn't talk. "... Yeah."

"Look, what happened yesterday was..." Geoff trailed off, trying to find the right words. "You know what it is, right?"

"So, uhm, why did you two break-up?" Harold perked up, wondering why. Bridgette had explained everything except for why they broke-up. Like with Gwen, she had told Harold it was too hard to think about and she would go emotional.Like she already wasn't emotional.

Neither of the two responded.

Bridgette nodded. "The biggest betrayal of my life."

Mine too..."Yeah, that. Definitely the biggest betrayal to both of our lives after what we did. But maybe we can work through it or something. You know, get through it together or something." he suggested, hoping Bridgette would agree.

What could possibly be the biggest betrayal? Harold pondered in his head. Oh, I dunno... Maybe every single time I try to be nice, and people just ignore me?

"I don't know if I can get past that though." Bridgette admitted.

Harold mentally slapped his forehead. This had got to be the dumbest thing he'd ever seen.

But just then, Geoff took Bridgette's hands and stared right into her eyes. "Bridgette... you've got to. I know what we did was messed up but we can work through it. I don't wanna lose you, Babe. I... love you."

"Geoff..." Bridgette said, eyes widened. "I...

Both Gwen and Duncan were walking together to Geoff's apartment as they heard something outside of his studio. Gwen had decided to tag along to try and convince Geoff to take back Bridgette so she had to walk with Duncan to his apartment.

Back to the noise, the two glanced at each other before inching closer, wondering what the noise was until,

"EWWW!" Someone shrieked. Gwen and Duncan went closer to see Geoff and Bridgette kissing. It was in fact 'Ew'. The person who had yelled was also in fact, Harold. "You two are gross!"

"Agreed." Duncan muttered.

Wow. She had to do all of this for a dolphin to make her friend feel better and here they were kissing? What a waste of forty bucks. "I can't believe I did all that to help Bridgette for this to happen." Gwen admitted, letting out another scoff in her disbelief. "I mean, at least kiss somewhere private."

"On the bright side, at least you go to hang out with me." Duncan responded, nudging Gwen by the side.

Gwen looked back at Duncan and raised an eyebrow. "Great. Now that you've told me why today can't get any worse, what's the bright side?"

But there was no time to respond since Harold was having enough and snatched the dolphins from Gwen and Duncan's hands and threw it at the couple making-out. "Geez, have some decency for the rest of us, okay? Gosh!" His face was red with irritation and disgust.

So yeah, Gwen and Duncan weren't dating but I decided something different. (Not really since I'm still writing Gwuncan)
