"U-Uh, I'm sorry, what-" Lucy stammeringly started before getting cut off by Lyon.
"No! I've had it with letting you two go on and on about what is clearly just projecting at this point!" At this Lucy blushed and Cobra scowled. "It's obvious you two aren't on good terms, but that's no reason to be so unprofessional! And rude!" He huffed loudly.
"You two keep talking about things that don't even have to do with what I'm trying to figure out! I'm not interested in your weird little philosophical debates on the nature of free will versus fate or what have you! You were supposed to help me decide which of them I should consider pursuing!
"Instead all you've been doing is arguing with each other and making it very clear that you haven't been paying attention to me at all! What if I had just wanted to get these feelings off my chest? If that were the case, you'd have failed pretty spectacularly."
"W-Well, wait just a moment," Lucy said. "We have been listening to you, we promise. We just…" she trailed off and glanced at Cobra. Sweat beaded her brow. A genuine pinch of panic ran through her as it seemed like this Lyon guy was about to go on a rant of his own.
"Really? You've been so wrapped up in each other that you've barely talked to me at all! I swear you two sound like you have it out for each other." Lucy turned a shade redder. Even Cobra felt a tad embarrassed as he glowered down at the lacrima, and by extension, at Lyon.
