"Hello, yes, sorry for the delay. This is the good Doctor speaking. Now, you say you're having a problem with this guy…" Lucy went on to re-describe the inane story Sorano told. Cobra internally groaned as Lucy played up the Doctor persona. He knew she was only doing it because he said it was Sorano, which made him seriously consider praying (to what he didn't know) that she would never, ever find out.

To his immense relief, Sorano didn't so much as twitch as Lucy talked through her problem. Her mind was focused on what Lucy was saying, but at the same time, he could hear several other trains of thought running through her head. One of Brian's teaching philosophy's (that rotting bastard) was to train oneself to have multiple thought processes at once. This way, one could always be one step ahead of the enemy. It wasn't a strategy all of them had employed successfully (Sawyer in particular) but it did mean a good percentage of them could weave through a variety of thoughts and still be focused on their environment.

Finally, he could hear Lucy wrapping up her analysis and began giving actual advice. He realized he'd forgotten to tell her that Sorano's story was entirely fake, but at this point, she doubted she would even care. "…So you see, I really think you should have a heart-to-heart with this guy. It's true his behavior seems quite suspicious, but I've seen plenty of people get misled because they assume things about their partners that simply isn't true. Maybe bring a friend along in case he reacts strangely but you don't see it," she concluded.
