Requirements: Abi and Dylan are in the storm-shelter

"What do we do now?" Abi asked.

"Well, I guess we could make ourselves at home. Whip up some cocktails, see what's on the tv,"

"How are you always so...positive?"

"I don't know. I guess I don't like to see people sad?"

"Is that why you tell jokes all the time?"

"It's better to make people laugh, even though you're feeling sad. I just...like to make people happy at my own expense. "

"You always seem so confident."

"It doesn't really have anything to do with confidence. When I first got here, I was faced with a tough crowd and wanted to break the ice a little. It's hard to relate to people with exceptionally high IQ's. I didn't want to draw to much attention to myself. "

"You wanted to lie low." She did they same thing, acting more shier than she was.

"And at the same time I act less smarter than I actually am so people will like me. Does that make me stupid?"

"No. There's nothing wrong with that. It just mean's you're human." She gives a smile.

"Well, fuck this night huh?"

"Yeah."

"Come on, I want to hear you say it."

"Fuck this night. Fuck it all the way till morning."

"We can't just sit here."

"Why not? You said it was safe here. "

"Well, yeah. I just don't want to be sitting around."

"That's literally all we have to do. Just wait until morning."

"Fine." Dylan gave a sigh. "But we need protection. Go see what you can find. It's better than just sitting around."

Requirements: Emma didn't get bit by Max. Abi is dead. Dylan didn't loose his hand.

August 23 Hackett's Quarry Parking Lot-Emma

"I can't believe any of this. I can't believe Nick would..."

"Yeah uh, I don't think it was really...Nick." Dylan sounded unsure.

"She can't be gone. She just can't."

How can Abi be dead? My best friend. When I first met her, I was nervous. I had heard so many horror stores about bad roommate. But when Abi walked in with her red highlights in her hair, and shy smile, we joked and laughed and I threw an arm around her and she hugged me back.
Abi will never hug me back again.

I feel Dylan's arms around me. I sob into his chest like I haven't cried in years. I can't think of the last time. Besides when my dad left us for his new family when I was eight. Maybe when my gran died when I was thirteen? When my so called friends ditched me outside the cafeteria? When Billy Bray broke my heart at fifteen?

Why did I come here?

I just wanted a few months to get away. A hot girl summer and a summer fling. Is that really so awful?

When I pull away from Dylan there are wet marks on his shirt from my leaking eyes.

"It was quick." Kaitlyn says, peering from around the van's hood. "She didn't suffer. It was over in seconds."

It didn't make me feel any better.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Dylan asks.

"So. What next?" Kaitlyn asked, more to herself.

"What do you mean what's next? What's the difference?" I ask.

"What's the difference? Those things are still out here and there's still several hours before sunrise. We need to keep moving."

"We can't leave Abi.."

"She's dead Emma. And if we don't keep moving. We will be too."

I turn to Dylan. I'd think at least he'd have my back. He looked so haunted. "Dylan? " He's looking down at the ground, his eyebrows scrunched together. "You think we should stay, don't you?"

"I..." He clears his throat. "I think...I think Kaitlyn's right. We should keep moving. That's what Abi would have wanted."

"You're kidding. Aren't you sad? Can't we take like five damn minutes to grieve?"

"What do you want me to say? Of course I'm sad." He takes a deep breath. "But it's not going to help Abi...for us to die here. We need to keep moving."

I turn my head like I've been slapped. I know they're just being logical. It's not like I want to be stuck here or starve to death or die of thirst if help doesn't come...it's not like they could forget about us...they have to send someone to look for us. Soon. If we can't fix the van..."Ok."

"Can you fix it or not?" He points to the van.

"No. Not without some parts. Specifically, a rotor arm. There's a scrapyard up the road."

"So, you can fix it."

"Well, no promises. But there's hope. That's where we're going to find it."

"It sounds like a long shot."

"Dylan, come on. I need you. We need you."

"Fine. Once again, Dylan puts himself in mortal danger for the sake of his 'work friends'

"What am I supposed to do?"

"We don't all have to go. There's the storm shelter underneath the lodge. It's safer there." Dylan says.

"Yeah, because splitting up worked so well for us last time. Alright, alright. Good luck."

Requirements: Emma was bit by Caleb when returning to the lodge. Abi is dead. Dylan lost his hand.

"Dylan your uh..."

Kaitlyn makes a gesture, cutting me off. He looks at his...non-existent hand and grimaces. As if he's embarrassed about it or he's in pain.

"Hey, where's Abi?"

They tell me.

I can't believe any of this. I can't believe Nick would..."

"There is another option. " Kaitlyn looks towards Dylan. "Why don't you stay here with Emma. We don't all have to go."

"Are you nuts..you just said..."

"I know what I said. I'm not risking it. Not in your condition. There's the storm shelter under the lodge. You should be safer there."

"Come on, Dyl. You're with me." I start walking toward the storm shelter.

Kaitlyn shuts the door behind us. I tell her to be careful.

"I will."

August 23 Hackett's Quarry Storm-shelter- Dylan

"Do you think it was stupid for wanting to stay?" Emma asks.

I shake my head.

"Abi was your best friend. I don't blame you."

"She was yours too."

"It's not like I had a choice. I wouldn't have been much use anyway." He gives a sigh. "It doesn't feel...real, you know?"

She nods. She pulls out her phone to look at herself. She had serious bags under her eyes. Like she hadn't had sleep in several days.

"You know..There is something you can do. Instead, sitting around. See if you can find anything. Unless you just want to sit there till morning."

"That's literally all we need to do."

"You want to feel useful. Start looking."

I needed to stretch my legs anyway. I start walking I feel something, like breath on the back of my neck, the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. A feeling like someone's watching me.

Dylan.

That voice calling my name again.

This way.

I can't be going crazy. Not now. Maybe it's the blood loss.

Something's here.

"What? Did you say anything?" Emma turns to me from where she's still sitting. She can't have heard it too, had she?

"uh...no.." I look to my left. The fuse box. There seems to be an eerie glow around it. Ok, spooky ghost lady, is this what you wanted to show me? I go over to it.

"Huh...that's why the power went out."

"The main fuse is gone." Emma is suddenly behind me, hovering over my shoulder. "Who would do something like that?"

"One of the hunters chased Kaitlyn in the lodge when Ryan and I went to the radio hut. "

"Gezze those freaking hunters are everywhere."

My foot kicks something hollow. "wha..." It can't be the fuse. I bend down to see that the object, it's cylinder in shape with a red band around it. There's more than one.

"What is it?" Emma asks.

I pick one up and turn it over in my hand. It's filled with several shiny pellets.

"Silver shells." I stand up. "There must be another way out of here." Around the corner

"What'd you find?" Emma was behind me again. It startles me. Sending my heart racing. She's got to stop doing that.

"oh uh, just this ladder. I think I've seen it before..."

"What are you waiting for then? Climb up."

"I don't think we should go up there"

"Why not?"

"Uh, considering last time I was attacked by one of those things!"

"I highly doubt there's going to be waiting for us in...where ever this leads. We might need an escape route. It could be the lodge or...Mr H's office. When Ryan and I went to Mr H's office to charge our phone's."

"What is it with trap doors around this place? Well, what are you waiting for. Open it."

"I don't know. I think we should stay here. Where it's safer."

"Oh come on! Have you ever been so sure about anything in your FUCKING LIFE? Let's play truth or dare. And then you both chicken out. After all I tried to do get both of you to make a move all summer. And I thought Abi was the worst. God. Can't either of you take a fucking hint." She takes a step forward but then stumbles as if she's become dizzy. "Dylan I...I... I'm sorry. I don't know..."

"Emma." Her eyes are yellow and her teeth are pointed. They appeared to be getting longer. "Oh fuck..." Not again.

I went for the ladder.

Requirements: you loosened the ladder rung as Dylan when you chose climb down in Chris's office

He was half way to the top when the rung broke. Loosing his grip he fell, flat on his back.

The back of his head struck the concrete. The sound of ringing reverberating in his skull. In a daze he tried to sit up. But couldn't move. He could see it out of the corner of his vision. Like a cat playing with it's food, getting ready to pounce. Like he'd seen his own cat do.

It lunged at him, tearing into his throat. He was unable to scream as razor sharp claws ripped into his abdomen and started feasting on his intestines.
