Chapter 11
Jamie didn't know why he felt something was wrong, but something was. He grabbed the note and read. 'Jamie, keep the earring safe. I trust you to return it when the time is right. Jack'
How Jack knew that he took the earring from the lost and found, he didn't know. Instead he acted on instant, grabbing the snow globe that Santa gave him in a case of extreme emergency only, his mind was on where the guardians were.
He called out the only know he knew that could save the guardians. "Kozmotis Pitchiner! Shake off the sorrow and pain of the past and become who you are meant to become."
Kozmotis was startled, as he grabbed the earring that held his own memories of the golden age along with some other memories, but seeing how his daughter was in pain, glared at his counterpart and grabbed hold of the shimmering silk webs and twisted them to his own will, ignoring the pain sweeping up his arms like tongues of fire.
Instead of shining with black as night, they lighted up to a shimmering white/grey with streaks of black running throughout theme as the ice crystal earring melted into the strands. He pulled and pulled and slowly the dagger started to loss power over the strands of silk. It didn't matter how deep Pitch Black kept pressing the dagger into his hand, he had lost control and the pain he had inflicted onto the guardians back lashed onto him.
Holly, Nick's wife, no, Elsa the Snow Queen, the Winter Companion to Santa Claus in different countries, gasped as a century of memories came back.
The other guardians were in the same boat but for Kozmotis, he was crying. Tears of sorrow or of joy, he didn't know but, Pitch Black was gone, back to where he once more belonged, only in stories with no powers to be had.
"And that is how I saved the guardians and how we got the guardian of All Hollow's Eve or Halloween as it is called now a days."
"Ah grandpa, how in the world did Santa marry Elsa? Does he know about the movies? Did Katherine and Jack have babies? Are we sure that Bunny is the last of his kind?"
Jamie chuckled. "Those are questions that can wait for next time. As for Santa marrying Elsa, that's all Olaf's fault or at least his doing. He write a letter. That's all what I'm going to say about that. Now it's off to bed for you two little scamps, after Santa Claus is coming."
Author's Note: Thank you all who read this story. It was a labor of love and I'm thrilled I got it done. As for Olaf's letter to Santa that kicked starts the whole Nick St. North/Elsa pairing who knows if I'll ever get it done. If so I'll be posting something. LOL
