Chapter 18
101 Dalmatian Street Part 3
As Molly, Dylan, and Dolly chased after the De Vils, they all found themselves at a nearby dock. Here, they found the crate that contained all of the puppies, which was being carried by a boat. They all knew that they had to hurry if they wanted to save their loved ones. To avoid getting caught, they sneaked their way through the dock until they were close enough to the boat.
"Okay, so anyone got a plan?" Dolly asked.
"There are too many Heartless here so I don't think fighting would be a good idea." Molly explained.
"Yeah, especially since we don't have these weird key things like you and Libby." Dylan noticed. "I say we sneak on board, free our family, and stop the De Vils somehow."
As everyone was discussing the plan, Molly noticed some Heartless behind Dylan and Dolly. That was when Molly started to panic, much to the confusion of her friends.
"What's wrong, Molly?" Dylan asked, noticing Molly's worried expression.
"Dylan! Dolly! Behind you!" Molly pointed behind Dylan and Dolly while trying not to give their position away.
It was too late though as the Heartless already grabbed Dylan and Dolly. Another Heartless tried to grab Molly, but she fought back against it with her keyblade. By the time Molly finished off the Heartless, the other Heartless already took Dylan and Dolly to the crate with the rest of their family.
Before Molly could go after them, she heard a couple of footsteps, forcing her to hide behind a smaller crate. She took a peek from behind to see Hunter and Cruella. They weren't the only ones around as Maleficent was here as well. Somehow, Molly wasn't surprised that Maleficent was the one behind this. She sneaked closer towards them to make out what they were saying.
"I trust that you found the Heartless to be useful." Maleficent hoped.
"I suppose they were adequate." Cruella replied. "Once we're done here. I'm still going to need them to dump the remains of the Dalmatians."
Upon hearing what his aunt just said, Hunter's eyes widened in horror. "The remains? You're going to kill them?!"
It was at that moment when Cruella brought her attention to her nephew with a menacing grin. "Well, fur isn't simply detachable, boy, is it?"
Hunter couldn't believe what he was hearing. If he had known that his aunt was going to kill the dalmatians, he wouldn't have gone through with her plan.
"You're a monster!" Hunter yelled with tearful eyes.
"Is she?" Maleficent stepped in. "Then tell me! How are you any better? I believe that you have kidnapped that one brown dog. If I'm not mistaken, you took her away from her friend, didn't you?"
"I-I" Hunter stuttered to come up with a response, but couldn't think of anything to say. He really wasn't any better than his aunt.
"Alright, that's enough! Heartless, take my nephew away!" Cruella order the Heartless.
Before Hunter could react, the Heartless grabbed him before taking him to the crate as well. As Molly sneaked further through the dock, she was caught by surprise when someone grabbed her by her collar. She was lifted in the air as she was now face to face with Cruella.
"Looks like we missed one." Cruella took a closer look at Molly. "You're no dalmatian, but perhaps I can still find a use for your fur!" Cruella said, earning an angry growl from Molly.
"Ah, another puppy. This one looks familiar. She resembles a certain brat who keeps getting in my way." Maleficent commented, not even hiding the fact that she knows it's Molly.
Molly glared at Maleficent! "You're not going to get away with this, Maleficent! I swear, if I find out that you or Cruella hurt one hair on Libby's head, I'm going to-"
Molly continued her threat, but from Maleficent and Cruella's perspectives, all they heard was a bunch of angry barks.
"Ugh, this dog is so annoying. Time to take her with the rest of the dogs before she gives me a headache!" Cruella complained.
Before Molly was taken away, Maleficent stepped close to Molly and whispered to her so no one else can here.
"Well, Molly, it appears this would be the last time we see each other. I would say it was nice knowing you, but that would be a lie!" Maleficent mocked.
With a growl, Molly tried to bite Maleficent, only for her to back away at the last second. As Maleficent walked away, Molly was taken by the Heartless before she was thrown in the crate, along with the rest of the puppies. It was at that moment when Molly slowly stood up and was relieved to see Libby standing in front of her.
"Molly!" Libby exclaimed before rushing towards Molly.
"Libby!" Molly ran towards Libby before giving her a hug with her forelegs. "Are you okay? You're not hurt, are you?"
Libby shook her head. "I'm fine, Molly! I can't say the same for Hunter though."
It was at that moment when Molly noticed Hunter, who was trapped in a corner, surrounded by countless angry puppies. With a growl, Molly slowly approached Hunter, ready to attack him for what he had done to Libby. Seeing Molly approach him, along with the rest of the dogs filled Hunter's heart with dread. He desperately tried to think of something to say, even though, deep down he knew that he deserved what they were about to do to him.
"I-I didn't know she wanted to kill you, I swear!" Hunter defended, but Molly and the puppies didn't listen, despite his pleas. "I-I've been here before! I know how you feel! I've spent 6 months in here, and she didn't call once. I just wanted to belong to someone." Hunter teared up.
That was when Molly, along with the other puppies' angry expressions began to soften. Despite all Hunter had done, Molly couldn't imagine what he had been through when working with Cruella.
"I'm all alone in the world. You all got each other. You're a family."
Soon, Molly looked down in sadness, feeling bad for Hunter. Libby placed a paw on Molly's shoulder with a reassuring smile. At that moment, Molly smiled back as the two girlfriends knew exactly what the other was thinking.
Both, Molly and Libby walked up to Hunter before they snuggled him in an effort to comfort him. This caused Hunter to smile before he gave them both a gentle hug. Unfortunately, their heartwarming moment was interrupted when a bunch of Heartless stepped in the crate. Surprised by this, Molly and Libby were about to take out their keyblades, but the bigger Heartless grabbed them by their collars.
It wasn't long before everyone was taken to another section of the ship and were all locked in cages, Hunter included. Here, they all took notice of a machine that was created by Cruella. Judging from all of the sharp blades from inside the machine, Molly and Libby knew that this is what Cruella plans to kill them with. She activated the machine, causing all of the puppies to freak out.
"Please, Great Auntie! You don't have to do this!" Hunter tried to reason with his aunt.
"Oh, Hunter. You could have been a great De Vil. Oh, well. I'll just finish them off myself. The De Vil shall wear puppies!" Cruella gloated.
As Cruella turned around to test out the machine, Molly and Libby saw this as their chance to escape. They summoned their keyblades and used them to unlock their cages. Once they were free, they sneaked over to Dylan and Dolly's cages to free them next.
"Hey, you got yourselves free!" Dylan exclaimed.
"Wow, you two are full of surprises!" Dolly complimented.
"What can I say? Libby and I do whatever we can to help our friends!" Molly smiled as she and Libby freed Dylan and Dolly from their cages.
"Let's hurry! We need to free the others before Cruella finds out that we escaped!" Libby explained.
Everyone nodded in agreement before they proceeded to rescue the puppies. While Dylan and Dolly were rescuing their family, Molly and Libby freed Hunter from his cage, who helped rescue the puppies as well. One by one, the puppies were free until Cruella turned around and found out what was going on,
"Hey! You're not getting away from me! Heartless, get them!" Cruella ordered.
At that moment, a bunch of Heartless were summoned into the room, but Molly and Libby were ready for them this time. Summoning their keyblades, Molly and Libby fought back while protecting Dylan, Dolly, and Hunter.
It was by this point when Molly and Libby were used to fighting in their dog forms, so they were able to swiftly dodge the Heartless' swipes while countering with even faster attacks. The more Heartless that were defeated, the more puppies that were rescued. This went on until Dylan and Dolly were finally able to rescue their parents.
With Doug and Delilah now free, Molly, Libby, Dylan, and Dolly joined them in charging right at Cruella. Unfortunately, Cruella was ready for them as she threw a bottle of chemicals that destroyed a nearby chain, causing a bunch of supplies to fall on the dogs. After recovering from the impact, they all tried to get out, but were all pinned to the floor.
With the dogs now trapped, Cruella looked to the side to see the youngest of the Dalmatians, Dorothy. Dorothy whimpered as she slowly backed away.
"Oh, what have we here? The softest of them all!"
Before Cruella could get her hands on Dorothy, Hunter picked Dorothy up in his hands in an effort to protect her.
"You've done well, my boy! Now hand it over!" Cruella reached her hand out, only for Hunter to take a few steps back. "Hand it over!" Cruella repeated, losing her patience with her nephew.
"N-Not the little one!" Hunter hugged Dorothy close to him.
"Well, boy. Are you a De Vil or a dog?" Cruella asked.
Instead of answering, Hunter teared up in fear, wanting nothing more than to protect the puppy from his aunt. It was at that moment when Cruella has had enough of her nephew.
"Sniveling snowflake!" Cruella stepped forward to grab the dog.
Suddenly, Hunter felt anger rising in him before he suddenly barked at his aunt like an actual dog. Surprised by this, Cruella backed away in shock, only to get her coat caught in the machine.
"Hunter, do something!" Cruella yelled before getting dragged in.
Despite what Cruella had done to their children, Doug and Delilah were not going to let her die.
"No! We are not animals!" Delilah yelled, freeing herself.
"Yes, we are, but we're not monsters!" Doug said, following his wife.
They both pulled a couple of levers on the machine, turning it off. With the machine deactivated, Cruella appeared on the other side, a little cut up, but still alive. Suddenly, a light from above shined down on Cruella to reveal that a helicopter was flying above everyone.
"Stop! River police! We have reason to believe you are carrying live cargo!" the police officer from the helicopter called out.
Before long, Molly, Libby, Dylan, and Dolly were able to free themselves as well as Cruella was arrested by the police. As all of the puppies left the ship, Molly took notice of something out of the corner of her eye.
"Hey, Libby! Take a look at this!" Molly walked over towards an object on the ground.
Upon taking notice of the object, Molly and Libby realized that it was another summon gem. This time, the summon gem was formed in the shape of a dragon.
"It's another summon gem! One of the Heartless must have dropped it during the fight!" Libby guessed.
"I'm really excited that we would meet another friend pretty soon!" Molly exclaimed.
"Me too! For now, let's make sure that the puppies get out of here safely!" Libby replied before she and Molly made sure that all of the puppies got of the ship.
With all of the puppies safe, Cruella was taken by the police in handcuffs.
"I hate puppies! And I hate you, you traitor!" Cruella yelled, bringing her attention to Hunter before getting pushed in the back of the police car.
As Cruella was taken to jail, Molly and Libby approached Hunter to make sure he was okay. With a smile, Hunter kneeled down before petting Molly and Libby on their heads.
"Thank you for giving me a second chance!" Hunter thanked. "I know I have caused a lot of trouble, but I hope to one day redeem myself and be friends with all dogs."
Hearing this brought smiles to Molly and Libby's faces. Despite all that Hunter had done, Molly and Libby were glad that Hunter freed himself from the darkness and joined the light.
"Thank you for helping us out too, Molly and Libby!" Dylan thanked.
"You really helped us save our family! We owe you big time!" Dolly exclaimed.
"Aww! Libby and I were happy to help!" Molly smiled.
"Still, there has to be something we can do for you for saving our children." Delilah offered. "Anything at all?"
"That's really nice of you, Mrs. Dalmatian, but Molly and I have to go to protect others from the Heartless." Libby explained.
"You're leaving? That's too bad. If you're ever in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by whenever you want!" Doug replied.
"We will! Thank you, Mr. Dalmatian!" Molly thanked before she and Libby decided to leave.
After waving goodbye to all of their new friends, Molly and Libby returned to their gummi ship. It was a little tricky for them to activate the ship with their dog paws, but they eventually managed to guide their ship into the sky once more. With all of the dalmatians safe once more, Molly and Libby left 101 Dalmatian Street in search of a new world.
