We start where the last chapter left off ichika had just introduced himself as the first ever male I.S pilot the entire class was shocked after but most of all was Houki Shinonono she started silently crying but everybody was too focused on ichika to notice Houki crying moments later Houki noticed herself crying and quickly pulled herself together and quelled the tears she had to hold herself back from running up to him and hugging him after this ichika says "that is all." which disappoints all the girls except Houki who was in still shock that her childhood friend is not dead

after words chifuyu smacked him upside the head and says "well take a seat." and points at the seat front and center

"Really sis the seat front and center." he said looking at her with a disappointed look

Chifuyu says with a stoic look "yes now take your seat."

Ichika sighs and takes a seat after words the the lesson starts and a green haired teacher that has an unusually large chest starts teaching however ichika not understanding most of this the green haired teacher Maya Yamada noticed ichika's confusion and asked " are you understanding everything alright."

With an embarrassed tone ichika reluctantly says "no i'm not."

Chifuyu says in a stern tone "did you read the I.S manual."

Ichika looks at her like she is stupid "with everything that was going on do you think i had time."

Chifuyu mentally face palmed "ok that's fair i will give you a week to finish it make sure you do."

Later during break all the girls in class are around ichika asking him questions "how did you learn you can pilot an I.S"

"There's not actually not that much to this story I encountered a deactivated I.S in a warehouse and it reacted to me" that is part cover story tabane came up with

"Ichika" a voice says ichika turns to the direction of the voice we see houki "can we talk" houki seems calm on the outside but on the inside she was the slightest provocation away from crying

Ichika seeing houki grows serious "sure let's go somewhere private first though"

Houki nodded in agreement and they made there way out of the classroom

as the two make their way out of the class room they hear the gossip of the class "do shinonono and orimura know each other"
"Are they dating"

The two made their way to the roof of the I.S academy once there the two were in silence until ichika decided to speak "houki how have you been"

Houki started crying "that's all you have to say i thought you were dead 5 years of regrets and trying to move on and then you just show up like nothing ever happened were even were you" she yelled at him angry

ichika was taken it back at the outburst of emotion but he steeled his nerves and said "i'm sorry houk-"

"I don't want half hearted apologies i need answers" she yelled at him again

Ichika sighed and took off the gloves he is wearing to hide his scars and rolled up his sleeves letting her see his arms up to mid way between the elbow and the shoulder and all the scars he had "i didn't have the greatest time either"

Houki's eyes widen in shock and horror at the scars she could count at least 11 scars in total for both arms she started crying more "ichika just what happened to you" she said between sobs

He smiled softly and rolled his sleeves back down then hugged her "It's alright I'm alright just calm down ok"

After 1 minute of hugging they separated "you didn't answer my question" houki said

"I'm sorry not now I can tell you later after all you never know who's listening I'll get settled in my dorm room then I'll come find you alright after that we will go somewhere we can talk without unwanted listeners alright"

Houki nods "alright I trust you"

Ichika smiled seeing the smile houki's heart skipped a beat and she gave a slight smile back

They stayed there until they went back to class and for the next few hours school went on normally until the end of the school day and as soon as class ended ichika left and shortly after houki left on the way to her dorm room houki found a confused ichika standing in the hallway "uhh ichika why are you just standing around" houki asked

Ichika turned and said " oh I was trying to find my dorm room and I got lost" in a embarrassed tone

Houki chuckled "well looks like I could find you before you could find me"

"I guess you did now can you help me find my dorm room"

"Ya sure what's your room number"

Ichika hands her the slip of paper that has his room number on it

Houki looked at it before her eyes widen in shock "this room number is the same as mine" she said with slight shock

Ichika chuckled "well i think i know who did this"

"Who!?" houki asked

"You'll know soon for now let's go settle in to our room"

"you mean your not at all concerned"

"No honestly i prefer staying with you rather than some random girl or alone"

Houki stammered blushing before calming down "alright"

They both went into the room seeing all there stuff already there "the I.S academy staff work fast"

"They had all day to do this while we were in class" houki said

"Oh ya" ichika said embarrassed

Editor's note: this is where the fun begins

"Ok houki lets go"

"Your finally going to tell me what happened to you"

"Yes but we need to go somewhere first"

They both exit their shared room and go they eventually find a secret door tabane built that leads to the elevator to her secret lab they get to the door to tabane's lab they both stand in front of the large metal door

Then suddenly ichika says to seemingly nobody "Ichika Orimura Barbatos Lupus Rex"

Houki confused asked "ichika there's nobody here besides us-"

The door starts opening cutting off houki and ichika gestures for Houki to follow him into the room both ichika and Houki walked into the room ichika led her over to a desk in the corner of the dark room with 6 monitors with someone sitting in the desk chair "Oi i'm back and your sister is with me"

The person in the desk chair turn around revailing Tabane this shocked Houki "Hello ichika oh and Houki is here to i am assuming you are going to tell her about Tekkadan and all that" she said the first part cheerfully then at the ladder part she became more serious

"Yes and also did you pull some strings to put me and houki in the same dorm room"

Tabane turn her head to the side looking away from the two and said in a joking tone "pfff no why would i do that"

"She definitely did" both teens thought at the same time

"That being put aside for now i want to check on the Barbatos"

Tabane looked back at him and beamed "please take a look" tabane said running over to the other side of the room about 19 20 meters (62 65 feet) away

Where a curtain is sliding to the curtain to the side revealing the barbatos lupus rex in all its glory with the arm wires connected but the joint isn't the arm is being held up by chains "i have to say repairing the Barbatos has been one of the hardest yet most fun things i've ever done i have to say it's probably one of if not my finest work yet"

Houki was frozen looking at this machine something about this machine terrified her an aura of death and fear

"Tabane thank you" ichika said in a grateful tone then he hugged her

This made Houki flinch when she got jealous wishing she was being hugged by him "do you want to explain things" Houki said annoyed

Ichika let go of Tabane "oh ya sorry Tabane can you pull up the files ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex and Combat Data"

"Oh ya you got it" she started typing on the computer she pull up two massive files "oh ya before i forget the last thing i need to do is reattach the arm of the barbatos then a little fine tuning with the Alaya-Vijnana which i will need you for then it will be ready for it's first flight in the arena" she said with a cheer full tone

"Can we do the Alaya-Vijnana fine tuning now so i don't have to come back down here later"

"Ya just give 8 minutes to reattach the arm to the joint"

8 minutes later the arm was completely reattached "Alright i'm ready for you"

Ichika gives her a thumbs up then starts taking off his shirt this reasonably freaks out Houki she points and yells at him while stuttering "why are you taking off your shirt"

"Uhhh well just let me finish then look at the upper part of my spine"

Houki hesitantly said "fine"

Ichika removed his shirt and Houki was mortified at the Alaya-Vijnana whiskers on his back "Ichika what the hell is that!"

"Oh ya tabane can you help explain what happened to me while we do the Alaya-Vijnana adjustments"

"No" tabane said seriously and flat "i have no experience working with the Alaya-Vijnana i could possibly damage your your nerves i don't want to risk it"

Ichika nodded "ok then Houki" Houki brought all her attention to ichika "i'm going finish this then i will explain everything"

Houki reluctantly nodded "ok but you better explain"

Ichika smiles and nods he goes up to the barbatos and slowly gets into the machine "Since you haven't used Alaya-Vijnana in a month connecting to the Alaya-Vijnana could cause some pain"

"Alright thanks for the heads up" ichika connects to the Alaya-Vijnana "alright ready"

"Ok activating the Alaya-Vijnana system in 5. 4. 3. 2. 1." suddenly for a 6 seconds feels an intense pain in his head and upper spinal causing him to jolt forward and grit his teeth blood starts flowing out of his nose (basically what happened to Mikazuki when he first connected to the barbatos) "ahhh" ichika grunted in pain

Houki's eyes widened "tabane turn it off it's hurting him!" Houki yelled in distress

"No i-i'm fine i just. needed to get used. to the Alaya-Vijnana again. I'm. fine." he said while breathing heavily he continued breathing heavily for a few minutes then he took in one long deep breath then he breathed out "ok I'm good start the fine tuning"

Tabane started typing away on her keyboard nearly 10 minutes of complete silence later and "done you can disconnect in 5. 4. 3. 2. 1." Ichika disconnects from the Alaya-Vijnana and stumbles away from the barbatos and Houki helps him towards a chair "ok thanks Houki. Now let's inform you about what happened to me" he said in a thank full tone then shifting to a somber tone in the ladder part "tabane you can take the first bit then I'll pick up after you finish the science ok"

Tabane smiled "Ok so when ichika got caught in the unstable I.S core explosion the unstable I.S core tore a rift in space but not time and sent him to a alternate universe" tabane looked a ichika in this alternative universe the instead of infinite stratos units they have mobile suits" ichika looks at tabane "did you get the footage from the combat recorder from the barbatos

"Yes pulling it up now" tabane pulls up the beginning part of the final fight of iron blooded orphans

Houki watched the fight in awe as ichika tore through the Gjallarhorn mobile suits "By the way the mobile suits in the video feed are 19 to 21 meters tall" ichika said with a smirk

Houki whirled on him with "What do you mean!? That same mobile suit over there is the one you are piloting in the video right!?"

Ichika chuckled "here let me prove it to you" ichika pulled out a picture all the Tekkadan boys were outside posed in front of the massive figure of the barbatos "see look" ichika pointed at the barbatos "there it is"

Houki was immensely confused "so what is the one over there a copy or a I.S frame with the frame made to look like the one in the video"

"I don't know how but this is the original but when i got back to this reality it turned into an I.S"

Houki was immensely confused then tabane spoke "don't think about it i spent weeks trying to figure it out"

they continued to talk until 9:30 at night ichika looked at a clock "it's 9:30 i need to get to bed can't be late on the first and second days of school" ichika said a joking tone

Houki chuckled "ya your right i think we both need to get to bed" they said goodbye to tabane who smiled as they left tabane was thinking about how she was absolutely ready to play the most fun game of matchmaker she has ever or will ever in her life

Later when ichika and Houki got back to their room they went to bed but Houki didn't sleep for long and she was woken up by ichika tossing and turning and when she got up and went over to ichika after a few moments of kneeling next to his bed she heard him mutter names "Orga, bisket, Danji"

Houki frowned and guess those were the names of his friends who died she put her hand on his and her other hand on his for forehead then trailing hand on his forehead down to his cheek ichika unconsciously gripped her hand and as though he knew she was there even though he was asleep he calmed his breathing he stopped tossing and turning Houki smiled and tried to go back to bed but ichika's grip was too strong and she didn't want to have him go back to nightmares she blushed and climbed into bed with him snuggling up to him even though she said she was only doing it do keep him from having nightmares she also enjoyed what she would never admit was her cuddling with her crush

The next morning ichika yawns tiredly as he opens his eyes when he tries to sit up he can't when he looks down he sees Houki with her arms wrapped around his chest although he won't deny it was comfortable he wanted to know why houki was in his bed so he gently shook houki and spoke softly "houki wake up"

Houki woke up groggily sitting up stretching "good morning ichika"

"Good Morning to you to Houki but can you tell me why you're in my bed"

Houki blushed tomato red "last night i woke up you were tossing and turning and muttering names" they both went silent "you were having a nightmare so i went over to you and held your hand you calmed down when i tried to go back to bed i you wouldn't let go and i didn't want you to go back to your nightmare so i stayed with you"

Ichika smiled and pulled houki in to a hug "well thank you Houki"

houki then looked at the clock and her eyes widen "ichika I don't mean to break this moment but we're going to be late" ichika looks at the clock pales in horror then jumps away from houki then runs grabs his uniform then runs into the bathroom to get ready then ichika runs out of the bathroom later in his uniform "ok your turn houki" she nods then gets ready for school which took much longer than ichika after they get ready ichika grabs a strange headset the head sets body consists of a long metal piece the goes across the back of the head connecting to 2 piece the wrap around the ears on the right side has a piece that consists of a glass panel that goes over the eye and the on the same side has a piece that looks like it extends out into a microphone the design is mirrored on the other side minus the microphone then they both hurry to class but not quite running houki was to focused on not being late once they got to the door ichika pushed a button and the glass parts that go in front of his eyes retract into the the main body of the headset which houki also didn't notice when they entered class they took their seats just beraly not being late shortly after the first bell rang Maya Yamada was walked into the room and got everyone's attention "ok everyone it's time to choose a class president you can nominate yourself or you can nominate one of your classmates" she said with a bright smile

One girl in the back stood up immediately raising her hand "I nominate Orimura" then another girl said "I also nominate Orimura" a few other girls stood up and echoed the first two ichika was about to Interject

then suddenly a blonde girl in the back stood up and shouted "I cannot accept this having a male as the class representative you cannot expect I Cecilia Alcott should have to put up with this for an entire year firstly living in a country with such a undeveloped level of culture is unbearably painful to someone such as myself oh the agony"

Then ichika stood up turn around to look at her "so we can a racism to the sexisum for you"

Cecilia gasped in indignation "I am not racist"

Ichika looked at her in bafflement "we all just say you say living in a country with such an undeveloped level of culture is agony I don't know about you bit that sounds a little racist to me" then ichika turned his head to address the rest of the class "what about you girls think she was a little racist there" most of the class nodded in agreement with ichika

Cecilia was fuming with anger "that's it" she yelled "ichika Orimura I challenge you to a dual for the spot of class representative"

Ichika smirked "who said I wanted to be the class representative in the first place"

"What" Cecilia yelled in anger

"First off I'm not a leader I'm a soldier I fight under order of my boss" ichika said with a neutral tone

"still I challenged you so you have to accept" Cecilia said

"who said I had to accept"

"so are you running away from a challenge all boys really are cowards you are nothing more that a rat under my boot" she said turning her head away from ichika as if he wasn't worthy of even have her eyes on him

And Cecilia just made a mistake a really big mistake... she called him a rat seconds later Cecilia realized she could breathe then she felt something tighten around her throat the she saw ichika lifting her up off the ground with one hand the hand that was currently grasping her throat choking her his pupils and irises were constricted. everyone in the classroom went dead silent then chifuyu gently knocked ichika on the back of the head and said in a voice that reminded of Biscuit's grandmother Sakura "that's enough ichika"

Ichika had a moment of clarity his pupils and irises went back to normal and he dropped Cecilia then in a low voice enough for the people within a few feet of them to hear he said "i accept your challenge" then he turned around and whispered to chifuyu "i'm going to go see the doctor"

Chifuyu whispered back "tabane"

"Yes" and with that ichika walked out of the classroom

Ichika called Tabane using the headset "tabane i snapped" he said before tabane can say anything

Tabane said in the serious tone she rarely used "come down to my lab we can talk here"

"Ok" he said before ending the call he goes down to tabane's lab"

He enters and sits in a chair nearby Tabane's desk where is was working on something "what happened" Tabane asked ichika

"It started when when she challenged me to a dual for the spot of class rep i said who said i wanted to be the class rep then i she said regardless i still had to accept the dual and said who said i have to accept the she called me and all males cowards the she" ichika paused then through gritted teeth spoke "said i was a nothing more than a rat"

Tabane pulled up a chair next to ichika "is anything about her familiar her tone of voice her mannerisms"

A memory of the first corp guys from the CGS "you trash are nothing more than space rats"

"Ya something like that" he said in a low tone

Tabane sighed and they proceed to have a long talk about ichika's trauma that ends around lunch time

Later tabane looks at the clock on her computer "it's time for lunch go eat"

Ichika got up and went to the lunchroom when he got there i got a bento then started looking around for houki he found houki sitting alone in a booth "hey houki" he said while sitting down next to her

"So about what happened in the classroom" houki said nervously

"Its alright I just had a quick therapy session with the doc I'm all good"

Houki smile slightly "well good to know you you don't believe you can just ignore it"

"Ya with everything I've been though I can't eventually I would snap and it would be bad on a much bigger scale"

Houki said in a joking tone but quickly shifting into a quieter tone "ya it's like a war veteran returning to home"

Ichika chuckled then said "I wouldn't exactly call this school filled with girls that the doc said were like starving Jackals"

"By the doc do you mean" Houki asked

"Your sister yes" ichika said in a quiet tone

"You know I'm always here to talk to right" houki said with a comforting smile

In a tone of appreciation and in a voice that reminded himself of Mikazuki he said "ya thanks" with a smile

With that lunch passed in a comfortable silence later at the end of class "alright the duel between Orimura and Alcott for the position of class representative will take place 2 days from now because Orimura's I.S is currently undergoing repair and will be done on Wednesday class dismissed"

ichika and houki managed to get out of the classroom without anybody following them when they got back to there room ichika took a shower first when he got out of the shower houki saw him in nothing but a towel which got her blushing profusely

"ICHIAK!" She yelled at him

"What?" He asked confused

"Put clothes on or at least some pants!" She continued yelling

"Ya I came out here to get my clothes"

"Oh… sorry" she said looking down face still bright red

Ichika chuckled "aww you're so cute when you're flustered"

A puff of steam burst out of Houki's head then she fell backwards onto her bed

Ichika chuckled before getting in bed and going to sleep

hey readers i have returned and i am sorry this chapter is short like the previous chapter and how long this chapter took to make. it took this long but because of lack of motivation and i have been playing a shit ton of Warframe, Titanfall 2, and bloodborne i recently got on my ps5 anyway again sorry for the short chapter and lets all hope i get some motivation so nobody deicides to quote Vergil and ask me "Where's your motivation" 2 more things before i go 98kazer you're correct Wrought Iron dragon is a fate and dxd and i know im not a very good writer so any advice is very much appreciated in fact if anybody has a since for this chapter or the previous one in your head PM me and i might put it in and see you all later
