Stan Edgar was furious with Homelander and Stormfront's failure to capture the intruder who stole their Compound V. Even if he wasn't strong enough to give them corporeal punishment, he'll still have to beat them in the public rating as a reminder of their failure against a simple mission. Both Homelander and Stormfront were also reeling from this lost. They were way faster than that slow-fuck A-Train yet that man just...disappeared from their sights as if it was no big of a deal. Homey's ego was severely wounded, and so was Stormy's. To their knowledge, challenging them like that is a death warrant for all humans, supes and animals around the world. Now they'll have to go to town on this man, but since the last confrontation, the Crime Analytics department lost tracks of where this strange man went to.
Just as Stanny, for once, had no idea how to deal with pesky little things he had been so accustomed to destroying, he suddenly received a call from Dakota Bob, the man himself and not any of his secretary.
"Hello Stan, what were you thinking sending that assassin idjit into my office? You know I can have you terminated right?", Singer forcefully inquired.
"Assassin idjit? Why would I try to assassinate you, Bob?", Edgar asked calmly yet sarcastically.
"Then who was the Supe that appeared in my office...MY OFFICE..and wrecked havoc there?", Singer finally raised his voice in anger.
"How does he look like? What can he do?", Edgar asked while maintaining his composure.
"He's tall, wearing a trench coat and a blue navy tie, he looks Russian and he has ass-load of powers.."
"Ass-load of powers?", Edgar voiced raised just so very slightly.
"He appeared in my room out-of-nowhere, stopping time and distort reality like it's another Wednesday night for him", Singer revealed while slipping up his powerful figure.
"I'm sorry, but I do not recall producing any Supe with such a power. For someone to manipulate space and time like that, it is purely impossible even with our scientific power", Edgar's voice is firm, his words meticulously punctuated, cementing the honesty in a sagaciously ruthless bastard.
"So how do you propose looking for him then?", Singer toned down his anger and inquired calmly.
"I say we don't, I say we let the others do it for us".
On the other side of the battle, the Boys had been scrambling their asses off the law's hook ever since that stupid gimmick Butcher pulled at Stillwell's house. "Fucking moron!", every other member agreed upon as they talked shit to Butcher. Even Hughie. But it was not the time to panic, because when a mega-corporation with a bunch of murderous Supes out there, they got a fucking job to do.
However, for the last few months of laying low, there hadn't been a lot of job they could latch on. As soon as they're desperate to do something, a news turned on with another incredibly powerful Supe terrorist on the loose.
"Witness report a man in a trenchcoat causing havoc in the Grand Canyon for unspecified purposes and escaped when confronted by Homelander and Stormfront. Our beloved superheroes from The Seven have issued a warning to stay away from this man [[Castiel's photo is on the news]] and to report to your nearest authority. His identity is currently unidentified, but a joint effort with Crime Analytics from Vought and..."
"Huh, strange. Somebody is a greater super-criminal than us", Hughie remarked.
"At this stage, everybody against Vought is a fucking super-criminal", M.M added.
M.M, Frenchie and Hughie were collectively interested in this man due to the sheer fact that he managed to escape and survive a straight confrontation against two of the most powerful and destructive Supes in this planet, across an inescapable geographical condition too. Even Butcher might have wanted him. Nevertheless, it was way too soon for any of them to conclude anything. Homelander's after all, the most powerful Supes this planet has ever produced, a Supes who could topple mountains, split the sky and lit up the whole Eastern Seaboard. Apparently, this person would be dealing with a murderous god, but hey, so are they.
They got to work immediately.
On the other hand, Castiel is trying to find a way to re-contact Balthazar from whenever and wherever the other Angel got shoved into. Not exactly too difficult; Angel Radio works across the Voidless Emptiness, so this should be easy. However, this is precisely the issue. Cass couldn't access his internal Angel Radio at all. As with the fact that he is blocked from escaping this Universe. Not to mention, he is chased by some murderous superhero-wannabe. Regardless of the struggle, this is a walk in the park for somebody who has seen worse like Cass. He remained calm as he tried to investigate the "thing" named Yaldaboth, which he could further surmise that this being has an omniversal influence. Thank you captain obvious!
Despite being disproportionately wanted, Castiel is relatively relaxed as he strolled down the street of New York buying some chocolate ice cream. Funny, Homelander's chasing the dude from across the globe. It would be soon until Homeboy found Cass, but until then, let the trenchcoat dude have some fun, eh?
As he walked the street, Cass suddenly remembered the presence of angel grace in that compound V. He remembered that there is no Angel stationing in Creation as of lately. Most of them are either in the Silver City or elsewhere. Only he and Balthazar are in Creation. "It's Balthazar's grace", he thought. "Would be easier now". Castiel realized that he just need another pinch of angel from Compound V in order to send a signal to his sibling/subordinate. Given that he got discovered last time, Cass planned to be a bit more inconspicuous with his crime. Seeing an opportunity to re-enact a scene from Pulp Fiction he so obsessively swoon over, Castiel transformed himself into Samuel L. Jackson's likeness as that assassin, Jules Winnfield, and commence a bold heist that involves shouting lots of "motherfucker" and a gun.
First, he bought a Star model B gun as a part of his "disguise", and then X-ray vision the structure of the entire Vought Tower. He already pinpointed the laboratory, but he needed a feasible way to get past security. Which unfortunately tightens so he needed a better way in. Luckily, teleportation field is not deployed, so Cass can just enter the door. Just need to make sure he can be a bit more subtle. And also, what teleportation field can block CASTIEL?
Sparsely prepared, Castiel entered Vought's laboratory in broad daylight, which was currently staffed by a few dozens elite scientists. Cass commenced his presence by shooting up in the air, terrifying many of the scientists into escaping. Before they can call for emergency, Cas opened the emergency lockdown that was installed to block him from entering in the first place. They are locked in here with him. Catching a scientist hostage, he strapped the poor young man into a chair.
"Hello, how you boys doing", Castiel started his act.
"Uhhhu...huh...W..W..We're... ", the scientist was too afraid to do anything.
The other scientists decidedly try to pry the door but...
"Keep chilling, keep chilling", Castiel gestured the lady to chill.
"Look, if you're trying to do this, Homelander's gonna...", a scientist attempted to interject.
"I DON'T REMEMBER ASKING YOU A GODDAMN THING", Cas interrupted with an over-the-top scream that is off the beat.
"Now tell me...[gesturing the Compound V vial in his pocket]...what is this?", the Angel's voice calmed down considerably, but the menacing undertone had only gone up.
"Um..uuhh...It's a..it'saa", the scientist visibly panicked while trying to answer the question.
In response, Cass flipped the table in disguised anger like that part of the movie, which somehow worked to frighten the other scientists into submission too.
"WHAT COUNTRY'RE YOU FROM?", Cass finally got to act his part and he's giddy inside.
" .what?", the scientist acted his part too. Huh!
"WHAT AIN'T NO COUNTRY I EVER HEARD OF. THEY SPEAK ENGLISH IN WHAT?"
" .what?"
"ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT!"
"yy. "
"THEN YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING RIGHT? DESCRIBE WHAT THIS COMPOUND LLLLLOOOOOKS LIKE"
"Umm..umm...It's a compound we..w'eve developed using a previously discovered element from space", the scientist calmed down, catching wind of what Cass was doing.
"Element from space", Cass inquired confusedly, but his Samuel L. Jackson's acting mannerism made it scary.
"Uh, don't you know? That cosmic shower..1939! It was a bluish elements that transformed the human gene and gave us superpowers"
Castiel realized that Balthazar is indeed in this universe, but he fell a few decades before Cass did. Indeed, that cosmic shower is Balthazar's angelic grace that is left behind, forming a new elements. The human scientists here must have found a mysterious way to salvage it somehow for their...Compound V. Just as Cass is about to go with a few dozens of Compound V vial in his pocket...
[clap clap clap] "What a nice little show you got there buddy", Homelander interjected, already broke the emergency lockdown wall into the room.
