"Next stop is to interview one of the Coven members." Xander said as they left the final scene having found nothing the girls could scry with and Phoebe having failed to get any visions that might give them a lead. "Her name is Susan." He gave Piper the address and the group headed to the next destination. "This guy doesn't leave much." Xander commented. "He's good at quick and efficient kills. Unfortunately that means he's not leaving much evidence of either the normal or the supernatural kind. The scorch mark and the couple of times an athame was found being the exceptions. This guy knows what he's doing and he's been doing it for a long time. He's not careless, the scorch mark, if it was made by an energy ball, was simply getting rid of a potential witness. He's probably the one who called 911, but why is a demon calling 911 in the first place? Demons avoid exposure as much as anyone else in the supernatural world, but he went out of his way to report this one, which breaks previous m.o. No other time has a 911 call been placed in anywhere less then an hour or so after death and always by someone who's upset at finding a dead body, not by someone who sounds like they put more emotion into what toppings to get on their pizza. Whoever killed her wanted the cops to know. Why? Who's attention is he trying to get?"

"Back in the first year after our powers were unbound," Phoebe offered. "a demon posed as an I.A. cop to try to manipulate Andy into leading him to us. Andy was Prue's boyfriend and we grew up next door to him. He ended up killing Andy, when Andy got between him and us. The same demon that was responsible for resetting the day that caused the temporal disturbance when both we and demons were exposed on national television and San Francisco starting melting down, when Prue died, he helped Rodriguez by putting us in a time loop."

"Maybe this demon thought Daryl would be investigating the murder." Piper suggested. "He was Andy's partner and is our friend. He also tends to get handed the freaky cases or if he suspects the supernatural's involved, he calls us."

"If that's what this demon was hoping for, he was probably surprised the F.B.I decided to take the case." Cordelia put in. "Or maybe he wasn't. He could know the government is aware of the supernatural. I mean a lot of people in general are, M.E.'s for instance. And the Coven members, some cops. Neither the supernatural nor the government's knowledge of it is widely known, but it's still something a demon could have found out."

"It's worth considering." Xander agreed. "At the very least this guy wants someone's attention, Cole noted that too, after all, the killer's taken out five members of one Coven already. He may even intend to wipe out the Coven." They pulled up to the address of Susan Coleman, a surviving member of the Coven. "Let's see if Miss Coleman has anything new to add. She'll probably be more willing to talk to you girls than me."

Once inside and seated in Susan Coleman living room, Xander began the conversation. "Miss Coleman, I know you and your Coven weren't comfortable with the F.B.I even knowing you're witches, let alone offering to protect you."

"Can you blame us, historically we've been persecuted by those in authority."

"Unfortunately that's not a unique problem, a lot of groups have. But the people I'm with really do want to help and if you won't talk to me, maybe you'll be willing to talk to these ladies. You may have heard of them, they're known as the Charmed Ones."

Susan's eyes went wide as she did indeed recognize the name. "You're working with him?"

"I'm living with him, he's my boyfriend." Cordelia told her. "The Elders asked us to investigate and his boss asked him to investigate, so we're seeing if we can work an investigation together and he qualifies as supernatural himself, so he's got a vested interest in keeping us all safe."

"Oh, I hadn't realized. But I don't know what I can tell you. I already talked to the A.D.A -."

"What?" Xander stopped her. "When did an Assistant District Attorney speak with you?"

"Just a couple of hours ago, about an hour after I found out Kari had been killed."

"Um, my name is Phoebe." Phoebe introduced herself. "My powers include premonitions and visions. Your necklace ties your Coven together and marks each of you. Would you mind if I touched it? It may help me get a premonition to see if any of the rest you are being targeted as well."

"Okay." Susan leaned forward so Phoebe could touch her fingertips to it. With a jerk Phoebe got what they'd been trying to get all day, a lead.

"Big demon, black and red markings approaching you at the park."

"I walk through the park every day." Susan's lips trembled. "He's after me."

"This is our chance to vanquish him." Piper said reassuringly. "Let's talk trap."
