After the torture that Lance gave Nigel, he dragged him off the bridge and into a garage to search for Walter and something to keep Nigel from wondering away from him, but most importantly, for Walter.
"Walter? Are you in here?" Lance quietly called.
Lance quietly tiptoed around the garage, due to being afraid of waking up someone or something that lived in the garage.
"See any sign of Walter or any clues of Robohand, Nigel?" Lance whispered.
Nigel turned to Lance and answered, "No!"
Lance slapped Nigel's beak and quietly snapped, "You better shut up! We'll wake something killer, so shush!"
Lance suddenly saw a welding mask that was cut into half and questioned, "What the? What kind of lunatic would saw their welding mask in half?"
The sound of a dog growling was suddenly heard as Lance and Nigel turn around to see a bulldog running up to them as it barked.
Lance did not realize that his voice was loud and woke the bulldog up and started running as he yelled, "Nigel, hide! I'll take the dog down!"
The bulldog pounced onto Lance and Nigel and the drool poured from its mouth as each drop of it reached to their eyes and Lance said, "Nice doggy."
The dog slurped the drool back up and into its mouth and laughed as it said, "I got you good!"
Lance and Nigel turn confused and both ask, "What?"
"I coulda ripped your throats out, but I didn't," The bulldog said as he licked his mouth. "But I coulda."
Lance and Nigel get up as Lance asked, "Um, could you please not do that or almost drool on us again?"
"Sorry about that, Man, it's a medical condition. Name's Luiz, welcome to my garage, aka, The Mecânico," The bulldog introduced himself and showed Lance and Nigel his garage.
"Quite a garage you have here," Nigel sarcastically said.
Luiz turned to the pigeon and the cockatoo and asked, "So what you birds doing in my garage?"
"Oh, we were just searching for clues, you see, canine, my friend is lost and I came in here to see if he was in here, but it seems like he's not, I also captured this really fat, ugly cockatoo to lead me to my nemesis, and I'm afraid he's just gonna run away," Lance explained.
Lance heard footsteps and turned to Nigel and ran to him as he tackled him and turned to Luiz and asked, "See what I mean?"
"I've got something," Luiz replied.
Luiz jumped up onto a table saw and untangled a chain from the saw with his paws, grabbed it with his mouth, and threw it to Lance and Nigel.
"You're joking, right?" Nigel asked.
"Actually, he's not," Lance answered.
CLICK!
Lance and Nigel hear the manacles of the chain click onto each of their legs and they lift them up to look at the chain and Lance Said, "Now this is perfect. Now lead the way."
Nigel grumbled and walked to the entrance of the garage as Lance felt the tug of the chain and followed him.
"Where you guys going? Don't you wanna stay?" Luiz asked.
"We can't! I've got a friend to find, a bad guy to fight, and a mission to accomplish!" Lance called out to Luiz.
"Okay," Luiz replied and suddenly turned confused. "A mission?"

Lance and Nigel were walking through the jungle and Lance stepped on a stick and heard the snap as he jumped and stuck his wings out in a karate pose and asked, "What was that?"
"A stick," Nigel answered in disbelief.
Lance did the pose again when he his foot on something and asked, "And that?"
"Just a rock," Nigel answered through gritted teeth.
"Right, now Walter should be somewhere in this jungle, I just hope he's safe," Lance replied.
Nigel scoffed and said, "Safe? This "Walter" and us are in a jungle, you know when humans say "it's a jungle out here or there"? They don't mean it as a good thing, especially in nature."
Lance rolled his eyes and said, "Don't talk to me about nature, I sometimes watch stuff like National Geographic or Animal Planet, I know about the food chain."
A fly flew to Lance and he tried to shoo it away, but a frog stuck its tongue at the fly and ate it. A snake jumped out and ate the frog as its arms stick out of its mouth, then an alligator stuck its head out of a river and ate the snake.
"See? Out here, you're probably an hors d'oeuvre," Nigel said after he and Lance see the animals get eaten.
"Well, I'm not, I'm only a spy, a secret agent, looking for his human friend, who is probably lost, hurt, or even dead in this jungle, but I'm now stuck with a fat, ugly, elderly wizard-like bird like you," Lance snapped.
Nigel grew angry and tackled Lance as he yelled, "Take that back!"
"NO!" Lance yelled back.
Lance and Nigel stop fighting as they hear leaves rustling and growling as they look around and Lance questioned, "What was that?"
A black panther jumped out of the bushes and Lance and Nigel start running from it as it chased after them.
Lance turned to Nigel and said, "We might wanna get some weapons or something! Mad panther on the attack!"
The chained-to-each-other birds suddenly run into a dead end and they turn to the panther slowly walking up to them.
"Don't worry, I can handle this," Lance said to Nigel.
"You can?" Nigel questioned.
The panther opened its mouth and barred its fangs out.
"Yep, we're in trouble," Lance grumpily said.
As the panther got ready to attack the pigeon and the cockatoo, Lance asked, "Um, do you like jokes?"
The panther's eyes widen at the question.
Lance nodded and said, "Good, okay, so a family of panthers are in their den, eating a...um...clown! Okay, a clown, and the dad says, "Does this meat taste funny to you"?"
He chuckled and the panther tilted its head in confusion.
The panther whacked Lance with its paw as he flew for a bit and hit a pile of rocks and slid down, one of the rocks fell and crushed his right wing and said, "Ow! A simple "boo" would've been harmless, thank you."
Nigel pulled Lance with the chain as they both start running and the panther chased after them.
Lance and Nigel run to a dead end, which was a dead tree sticking out of the ledge of a cliff as Nigel said, "Ugh! Stuck between the cliffs and the claws, this is not good!"
As the panther took a step on the tree, it tilted as a crack was heard, the panther shook the tree with Lance and Nigel still on it and Nigel said to Lance, "Good luck joking your way out of this one."
"Uh, what's your name, sir or ma'am?" Lance asked the panther.
The panther roared at Lance.
"Roar, alright," Lance agreed.
The panther slammed the tree again and it tilted downward and started to break.
"Why don't we talk? Can we just talk?" Lance asked.
The panther shook the tree again and it finally broke as Lance, Nigel, and the panther start falling and Lance yelled, "Good talk!"
They splash into a river and Lance and Nigel grab onto the tree as they use it as a boat and Lance said, "Thank God that's over with, everyone knows cats hate water."
The panther got out of the water and climbed onto the tree as Lance and Nigel jump and Nigel replied, "Well, this one doesn't!"
Lance and Nigel walk back as the panther slowly walked to them as it barred its fangs out and suddenly looked forward and its eyes widen in fear and looked down at the two birds.
Lance and Nigel tilt their heads in confusion and Lance asked, "Why are you looking at us like that?"
The panther pointed forward and Lance and Nigel turn forward and their eyes widen as they see that they're heading towards a waterfall.
Lance and Nigel use each of their wings as paddles as they try to turn the tree around, but it did not and they, including the panther, go down the waterfall.
Lance swam up with his left wing and breathed for air as a small wave pushed him to the land, but what he did not realize was that the water lubricated his and Nigel's feet enough for them to slip through the manacles of the chain.
He sighed in relief and said, "I'm alive, guess I'm not gonna be buried in a shoebox after all."
Lance looked around for Nigel and called, "Nigel?"
He saw Nigel walking away from him and looked down to see that the chain was off him and Nigel and he ran after him.
"Hey! Come back! We had a deal!" Lance scolded Nigel.
Nigel turned to him and snapped, "No! The deal has expired, I almost died because of you! So, no, I won't be leading you to this nemesis of yours or find your friend, I'm going back to Rio and probably just die from starvation! You're on your own, so good riddance, Vermin!"
Nigel left Lance alone in the jungle and he turned around and walked on his own and said, "Pfft, curse him, I'll find Walter and fight Robohand by myself, I fly solo...for now."
The panther attack and chase was inspired by the bear chase scene from Alpha and Omega
