Chapter 22

Taking the body of the hitman claiming to be from Snake Sannin. Anko looks at the others. "This isn't good. With someone waiting so close to the village…we are going to have to carefully through out the village. For whose to say that there isn't any enemies within our own wall." The woman told them as her purple eyes baring deeply into one blonde's own crystal blue eyes.

"Anko-sensei I do understand what you are saying to me and the rest of us. We know with the Chunin Exams coming within the month. Our village will be open to anyone and their dog." Naruto said with a little chuckle as Kiba elbowed him on the side.

"Good, I'm glad you understand. So, once we return. I want you all to move around in pairs if you are able too." Anko told the teenagers.

Asuma chewed on his cigarette. "Anko is right. When it comes to team training, I shall come to each of your home and pick you up. But I also know that you will find our way around the village without someone. So move around carefully." He added as Kurenai nodded her head in agreement.

With that said the two teams moved towards the village gates. The three sensei's speaking with the two forever gate guards. With a slight of one of their heads several ANBU appeared and vanished with just a single leaf falling to the ground.

"Come on brat. We need to check in with Lord Hokage." Anko began as Kurenai and Asuma letting out sighs.

Hokage's Office

Bridging his fingers together the 3rd Hokage looks at the six teenagers and three sensei's stood before him. "How was the bandit mission?" He questions them as he does his best to give them a pleasant smile.

"It went to shit." Naruto spoke up as he took a step forwards.

"What do you mean?" Questions the 3rd as he narrows his old, weathered eyes upon the young blonde.

"This wasn't a normal bandit group. They where a cover for three missing Shinobi who had been hired to capture Naruto and Hinata. That was all we where able to gather as one had gotten away and the two others where died. As one killed himself and the other was killed with Naruto's lightening strikes." Anko said as she had taken a step forth. "We have there bodies and we are going to see what we are able to gather from them and see if they hold any information on why they were targeting two of our Genin." She adds with a frown.

"As well we were attacked just outside the village." Asuma spoke as he took a drag from his cigarette.

The 3rds hand's move down onto his desk. "What do you mean you were attack outside this village's wall?" He demands.

"Snake pedo sent someone to take me. But he didn't expect we were ready for anything." Naruto said with a frown as he narrows his eyes upon the old man before.

"So…my former student wants you?" Sarutobi questions looking all those standing before him.

"Yes, but I felt he was lying though." Naruto added as he still had an unsettling feeling.

"Only time will tell my boy. Only time will tell." Said Sarutobi with a slight frown.

Anko found it strange that the Hokage never spoke about how the three shinobi had been hired by a mysterious benefactor. "Are we glazing over the fact the body I have my hold the secret of the mysterious benefactor who wishes these two for their own?" She questions as she places a hand on the shoulders of the two teenagers.

"No, Anko-chan. I haven't forgotten about that. But I want to deal with it once T&I have had their chance to find out more." The 3rd said with a frown.

"Well if this is all. You all are dismissed." The 3rd told them with a soft grandfather smile.

Outside the Hokage tower

"Something is right." Said Shikamaru as he narrowed his eyes upon the blonde.

"I know. I still have shadow clones after the one that had gotten away." Naruto said as he hopes the catch the name before he has a chance to kill himself.

"Good," Said Shikamaru as she wanted to know more. It left an itch in his brain until he knew more.

"Well brat's I'll let you all know what we find out." Said Anko as she knew now isn't the time to keep them out of the loop as there is too much riding upon the blonde's shoulders.

"Thank you Anko-chan." Naruto told her with a grateful smile upon his face.

"No problem brat. I'm off." Anko said as she took off to the T&I department.

"Come on. Let's get you all home." Said Asuma as he smiles at all the kids.

With that done Naruto dropped down upon his bed. "Who the hell is after me?" He questions his ceiling.

"Whose after you?" Questions Thor from the open bedroom door.

Sitting up Naruto looks at his grandfather and uncle. "I don't know who it is. But we had been attacked on our return home and the bandits we had went to take care of. Had three missing-nin and they had orders to take Hinata and myself." He told them as he frowned.

"Whoever is after you. They will have to go through us." Thor threaten as lightening dances within his blue eyes.

"I know. But there is a problem. I have to leave the village without you two as I do have to go on missions." Naruto told them as Thor frowns.

"Who could join as an extra sensei." Loki suggests. As he is also feeling uneasy about what had happened to the boy and his teammates.

Tsuma could be heard rushing to the blonde's room. "Naruto." She calls as she pushes both men and wraps the boy into her arms. "My boy. Don't let Kiba scare me like that again. I will kill the bastards that want you." She said with tears rolling down her cheeks as Tsunade was close behind her. With tears in her own eyes as she clenches her fists.

Next times is the Chunin Exams

Yes, this helps me remember who is on what time. AS I like to screw up the times for my own enjoyment and annoyance. XD
