-Chapter Fourteen-

"That's the power of the Clone Clone Fruit" the odd man happily boasted.

"That's amazing!" Nami awed.

"I have to agree, that is a pretty neat power—you could basically get away with anything by pretending to be someone else" I chuckled.

"The face and the voice matched perfectly" Usopp praised as the man twirled past everyone—gently touching our cheeks in the process.

"You see, I didn't have to hit you that hard, okay—now watch!" he grinned before touching his right hand to his face and instantly changing his features to that of Usopp's. "All I have to do is touch my right hand to you, as you can see, I can turn into anyone!" he proudly boasted as he started switching between our faces...it felt weird seeing my own face...

I didn't like it.

"That's not all, I can change bodies too" coming to a halt at Nami's appearance, he suddenly pulled open his shirt without warning and flashed the men in front of him. This simple act was enough to get Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper to freak out just a little as I loudly whistled.

"Stop that!" Nami snapped as she hit the man on top of the head. "You too, Skylar!" she quickly turned while jabbing a finger in my direction.

"Hey now, some people see that as a compliment" I cheekily grinned before raising my hand in defense when I saw her glare only sharpen as she lowly growled, her gaze promising a fate far worse than death if I didn't back down.

"Well, aren't you quite the flirt" Zoro snorted from beside me as he crossed his arms.

"I know—perhaps one day you too could be as charming as me" I joked, the grin on my face only growing wider the second I heard him bark out of laugh.

"Yeah, maybe" he chuckled with a nod as if humoring the idea.

"Uh...guy? Are you okay?" Luffy worriedly asked as he peered down at the crumpled figure on the floor...Nami really did a number on the poor guy, though can't say that I blame her.

"Oh, well I'm terribly sorry" the strange man weakly apologized. "But I shouldn't demonstrate my power anymore" he said, quickly bouncing back up off the ground and onto his feet as if he had never been hurt in the first place.

"No, please do more!" Luffy begged as Usopp and Chopper started to cheer in the background as if encouraging the man to continue showing off his power.

"Okay, if you insist, then I guess I can demonstrate some more" he grinned, easily giving into the three's demand with very little resistance as if he too was excited to continue showing off his ability.

"He's really hamming it up, huh?" Namii questioned.

"I can assume that this might be the first time he's actually had himself an audience to show off his ability to" I guessed as she, Zoro, and I watched from the sidelines as the man twirled around—continuously changing his appearance as he did so.

"This is boring..." Zoro suddenly grumbled as he leaned back against the railing.

"Maybe to you, but I think it's pretty neat" I hummed.

"How so?" Nami asked.

"It's just an extreme form of acting when you really think about it, except better" I pointed out. "Not only is he donning the appearance of another person altogether, but their voice as well—just imagine what one could do with an ability like that, all the good and bad things you could get away with" I said. "You can simultaneously better or utterly ruin a person's life with an ability like that...also, haven't you ever wondered what it'd be like to be another person once in your life?" I asked.

"But he's not another person, he just takes on the appearance of one—not their personality" Nami argued.

"True...but does the personality really matter in the end?" I asked, taking her aback. "At the end of the day, he's still donning another individual's appearance which is all you really need to take over someone's life" I said. "But who knows? I'm probably just overthinking all this" I shrugged as my gaze drifted back over towards the four that were still having fun.

"I'll admit, you do have quite the...active...thought process there" Nami confessed before returning her attention towards the four as well.

"Well, did everyone enjoy my special secret talent?" the strange man happily asked, looking rather proud of himself. "It's quite impressive, but I never show it off" he confessed as he and the other three started to cheerfully dance around.

"Oh whatever" Nami irritably huffed as she finally turned her back to the four only to halt when she suddenly caught sight of an approaching ship off in the distance. It seemed she wasn't the only one to spot it as the man also caught sight of it as well and halted in his dancing.

"It's time to say goodbye already?" he whined. "What a shame!"

"No!" Luffy, Chopper, and Usopp cried out

"No, you can't leave, please don't go!" Usopp begged.

"Try not to be sad, journeys must always include farewells...and yet, I will never forget you or today" the strange man told them. "It's been brief, but true friendship isn't determined by time—don't cry friends" he assured them as the other ship now pulled up beside us. With a smile and a wave, he quickly jumped from our ship and onto his own.

"See ya, cool guy!" Luffy shouted as he, Usopp, and Chopper all waved goodbye.

"Now quickly, let's get going!" the odd man ordered.

"Yes sir, Mr. Two!" the men on the opposite ship saluted as they set sail.

"What? Mr. Two?!" Usopp gaped.

"That guy was Mr. Two?!" Vivi asked.

"Oh...I didn't think this Crocodile guy would pick someone like that to work under him—he didn't look very intimidating..." I muttered in slight surprise. "But, then again, looks can be deceiving..." foul was the taste in my mouth as my mind started to drift.

"Vivi, you mean you didn't know him just by looking?" Luffy frowned.

"Uh-uh, I've never met Mr. Two or Mr. One and his partner—I don't know much about them or what their powers may be" the princess confessed as she shook her head. "Though I have heard rumors about them all—I've especially heard about Mr. Two. Apparently, he's a very tall ballerina, talks like a woman, and he always wears a swan coat that says "Bon Clay" on the back" she relayed, repeating the rumors she'd repeatedly hear while working uncover for Baroque Works.

"Didn't know" Zoro, Luffy, and Usopp deadpanned at the exact description of the man who had just been here.

"Come now, no need to be that blunt" I sweat dropped.

"Is something wrong, Vivi?" Luffy worriedly asked upon finally noticing the horror-stricken expression the princess now wore.

"I...I saw something in his memory—in the faces that he showed, one of those faces belonged to my father" she shakily explained as she held her face like she was getting ready to surprise a headache. "Nefertari Cobra, my father, the king of Alabasta" she added.

"That's not good—he morphed the face of a king that easily, Mr. Two has the potential to cause a lot of trouble" Zoro frowned.

"Seems that power really did end up in the wrong hands" I sadly sighed. "Sad seeing how it really was interesting..." I mumbled.

"That isn't important right now, looks like we let a really bad guy get away today, huh?" Usopp frowned.

"So that guy was our enemy?" Chopper inquired with the tilt of his head as he looked at each of us with wide, innocent eyes that hadn't yet comprehended the fact that the new friend he had made wasn't a good person.

"Seems so, and having him on the other side is not a good thing" Nami nodded. "If Mr. Two realizes that we're the ones Baroque Works is after then he can use the memories he got from us earlier and use them to transform into any one of us—we won't be able to trust our own friends!" she worriedly frowned.

"That is quite a predicament" I added.

"Yeah, you're telling me" she grumbled.

"Really?" Luffy suddenly questioned, looking as if he didn't understand the problem.

"I'll explain it again" Nami irritably huffed before suddenly being stopped by Zoro.

"No, hold on a sec—Luffy's slow, but he's right not to be scared" he said as he clasped a hand right down on top of Luffy's shoulder. "Just hear me out on this one and I think you'll agree, it's actually a good thing we ran into Mr. Two when we did because now we can prepare and we can beat him at his own game" he grinned as he words now piqued everyone's curiosity.

"Exactly what did you have in mind?" I asked.

"I'm glad you asked" he said, motioning for us to come closer so he could voice his idea before suddenly being interrupted by the rough rocking of the ship. Instantly, I shot my arms out in an attempt to regain my balance which in return caused Nami to flinch and lean back in the process to avoid being struck by my flailing limbs.

"Hey, watch it!" she snapped.

"Sorry, perhaps next time I should fall on my ass just to save that pretty little face of yours from being damaged" I sarcastically apologized.

"Don't use that tone of voice with me!" she frowned...though her lips soon quivered as we both burst into a small fit of laughter after a second of glaring at one another.

"Whoa! That thing is huge!" Luffy gaped, eyes now sparkling as he stared up at the giant…fish? Cat? Both? Whatever it was that came out of the water.

"A Sea Cat!" Vivi gasped, quickly confirming to me that it was indeed both a fish and a cat.

"It's a Sea Monster!" Chopper fearfully cried out as both he and Usopp started to run around—seemingly freaked out by the Sea Cat's appearance.

"It looks like food to me" Zoro grinned as he started to draw his swords.

"Yeah! Let's go!" Luffy eagerly agreed.

"We're on the right track, now if only we can just get there alive...that would be great" Nami ignored everything that was happening as she opted instead to look down at the Eternal Pose she was holding.

"Food for me!" Luffy cheered which instantly seemed to scare the poor thing as the Sea Cat started to quickly back away from the ship.

'Cute' I thought as my own eyes began to sparkle the longer I peered up at the silly "little" guy...I've always had a soft spot for animals, especially cute ones.

"It's backing away" Zoro pointed out.

"Reverse! Put the ship in reverse!" the captain hastily ordered.

"No, we can't do that!" Usopp snapped.

"Hey, don't let it get away! If the two of you don't capture it, I'll kill you!" Sanji threatened as he now came rushing out of the kitchen to join us upon hearing the commotion and noticing the giant sea monster. "Now then, Sea Kitten, how do you think I should cook you?" he inquired.
