Fem Ichigo takes the place of Kagome, and chaos ensues. ENJOY!

If there was one thing Ichigo took pride in, it was that she was not an idiot.

People walking in period clothing, using an archaic version of Japanese, in a sparsely populated area with houses that were positively ancient.

The weird sensation she had gotten from the well wasn't anywhere close to what she had going through the corridor or a Senkaimon. It was weird, but the feeling was off.

It was a good thing she was still settling in to Tokyo...she didn't even want to consider the headaches she would have gotten wearing a school uniform in what appeared to be feudal Japan.

Seeing the ancient Miko appear, Ichigo held her tongue. She was still pissed about being tied up in the first place, even if she understood the reasoning. Didn't mean she had to like it though.

Ichigo sputtered at whatever the priestess used to 'exorcise' her.

"For the love of...knock that off! I'm not a youkai or a spirit!" she shouted irate.

She was aware of the supernatural side, she just kept her distance and they did the same.

"Are ye not? Then why were you in Inuyasha's forest?"

Ichigo's face twitched.

"Are you kidding me... maybe you should ask why that ridiculous centipede woman dragged me into a well!" said Ichigo irate. She hated that time of the month and this was just making her headache worse. "Of course I headed into the forest...the tree was identical to the one close to the shrine I'm living at."

Kaede seemed to sense something about her. Ichigo was in a more forgiving mood once the bindings on her wrists came off.

"Why does this nonsense always happen to me," complained Ichigo. "First that mess with Rukia, and now I've apparently been stuck in feudal Japan."

"Ye seem rather calm, if that is the case," said Kaede.

"I've been through worse," said Ichigo flatly. "Honestly if it wasn't for the lack of spiritual density I would immediately assumed I had fallen somewhere else."

Before Kaede could respond to that there was an outcry outside. Looking outside revealed the hideous youkai that had attacked her before. Ichigo was pissed.

"Nothing's working!" shouted one man.

To their shock, Ichigo 'borrowed' a sword from one of the villagers. It wasn't Zangetsu, but it was better than nothing.

She was able to block the first attack with some difficulty...she still hadn't recovered from the war.

"Hey you ugly hag, trying coming after me instead!" shouted Ichigo.

Kaede, once she got over her shock at the fact Ichigo was making a beeline to the forest without being told, took off after her.

In the forest...

"What's wrong Kikyo? Kill her like you tried to do to me!" sneered the white haired boy in the tree.

Ichigo grew pissed.

"My name..." she growled, "Is Ichigo. And I would except I still haven't recovered from something far worse than this hag!"

Seriously if she had even half her powers this damn bug wouldn't stand a chance! She wouldn't even need her sword!

What happened next had Ichigo cursing her luck, and wondering who she pissed off in another life to deserve this. Because apparently, she must be the reincarnation of this "Kikyo" person because the jewel was inside her body. Either that or it was just her luck.

Ichigo managed to grab the thing before the centipede hag ate it. It was likely the jewel had needed a catalyst to appear, and just her luck, she must have found it by accident. She found herself being pinned by the centipede's body against the white-haired boy.

"Can you take out the arrow?" said Inuyasha.

"What?" said Ichigo.

"The arrow! Can you take it out or not?"

"No, do not release Inuyasha!"

Ichigo eyed the centipede, then Inuyasha. It took her all of three seconds to make a choice.

The arrow dissolved into pinkish light. Ichigo twitched, just a bit. And yeah, while Inuyasha did take care of the ugly thing easily enough, he made his real intentions clear.

Unfortunately for him, Ichigo had expected it.

"OW! What the hell you bitch?!" snarled Inuyasha. He took a half-step back at the aura Ichigo was projecting.

"Yeah, I'm a bitch...but I'm the alpha bitch, you brat," snarled Ichigo.

What happened was one-sided and entirely enlightening...just not in the fun way for the half demon. Sure, he had superior strength and senses compared to her, but he was also still weakened slightly by the arrow and just waking up.

Ichigo, however, had just come out of a war against creatures that were vastly superior to him and had come out on top...and she had been one of the biggest delinquents in Karakura who kept the worst of the other delinquents in line for almost six years running. She was also a black belt, as she had felt keeping it up after her mother's death was important since she didn't want to lose any more of her family.

Inuyasha...didn't stand a chance in hell against a hormonal, irate Ichigo.

It was rather humbling for him and great entertainment for Kaede. To add insult to injury, he ended up with the equivalent of a collar around his neck to insure he behaved...Ichigo found it vastly entertaining to send him crashing into the ground with a simple command.

"Fucking bitch..." snarled Inuyasha.

Ichigo's glare shut him up rather effectively.

"That's Alpha to you, dog," she shot back. Inuyasha growled, but his inner instincts quelled under the dominant personality the girl presented.

Inuyasha had to reluctantly admit, for a woman this...Ichigo wasn't as weak as he originally thought. He was still pissed at getting his ass kicked, but he could respect her strength since she had done it without any cheap tricks. Finding out she was still recovering from a nasty battle against a stronger foe and that her spiritual powers were merely recovering, rather than lost made his respect rise.

Did not mean he liked the fact he lost to a woman... a human woman at that.

However what solidified the image of an alpha bitch was how she handled being captured by bandits. Rather than scream for help, she punched one of the stronger ones in the face and then stole his sword. She had a grimace on her expression... but it was clear it was due to the quality of the weapon rather than holding one.

Seeing her dispose of the crow without any input from him as well as terrifying the remaining bandits with her dominant aura made his instincts sing.

And then it happened. Ichigo was listening to Kaede about how sacred powers work while trying out the bow and arrow set she had borrowed from the priestess, when her mind slipped towards what Uryu had told her about how his quincy powers worked.

She wasn't entirely certain HOW it happened...just that one minute she was drawing the bow to fire (it missed, horribly), the next she suddenly became aware of the fact the jewel around her neck was heated up to uncomfortable levels.

Inuyasha only caught the tail end of what happened...he just knew that Ichigo suddenly tossed the jewel upwards into the sky mere seconds before it exploded into a rather intense light show.

"Woman... what the hell did you do?!" said Inuyasha irate.

Ichigo winced. Okay, so she might have had that coming, just a bit. Especially learning the thing had apparently shattered into countless shards.

This was going to be such a pain in the ass.

"Why did you switch to online courses?" asked Orihime on their bi-monthly girl's day.

Ichigo winced.

"I somehow ended up in feudal Japan and broke a jewel almost as much trouble as the Hogyoku that can give power boosts," admitted Ichigo. "And since we both know how long lived Soul reapers are, there's no way in hell I can leave that thing on the chance Aizen finds a shard and makes our present even worse."

Orihime winced. Yeah, that sounded bad. Then she cheered up at a second thought.

"Wait...how far back are we talking about?" asked Orihime.

"About five hundred years, I think," said Ichigo. "Why?"

Orihime's gleam was downright evil.

"Ichigo, think of this another way...you now have a chance to infiltrate the Seireitei and gain unlimited blackmail in the present on the captains."

Ichigo blinked, thought that one through...and a grin that wouldn't have looked out of place on her Hollow side filled her features. Oh this was going to be glorious.

At least with the online courses she could get her homework done without racking up a ton of absences. If she wanted to go to college or university later, that would be a major red flag for anyone doing the approvals.

Ichigo didn't notice this until later, but when Inuyasha saw how her group interacted with her, it had a major impact on how he treated her later.

Ichigo had already firmly established herself as the Alpha of the two...and while Inuyasha was brash and arrogant, he knew damn well he was a Beta.

Perhaps he could tolerate being part of Ichigo's pack. Maybe.

In a weird way, Ichigo could strongly relate to Inuyasha's reaction to what he thought was his mother. However she was less than amused that his older half brother was being such a dick about it, and for what? Because he was mad their father had given his younger sibling a sword HE wanted?

Ichigo had to hold back a laugh when Sesshomaru, who initially dismissed her presence entirely because she was human, gained a very startled expression upon receiving the nasty punch to the face. Inuyasha had no such restraint...he outright cackled, even if his jerk of an older brother did managed to steal the opening to the tomb.

If Ichigo noticed Inuyasha being slightly subordinate to her after a recent spat, she made no sign of it. Sesshomaru, however did notice and his estimation of his younger brother lowered considerably for it.

"Really Inuyasha, following a mere human for your Alpha? And I thought you couldn't get any more pathetic."

It had been embarrassing enough Inuyasha had taken to that mortal, especially a priestess of all things. The fact he was showing all the signs of accepting this weak human as his Alpha was intolerable in Sesshomaru's opinion.

Ichigo had had enough of Sesshomaru's attitude. He had shattered the crappy sword she had gotten before, but she wasn't that surprised. And she had trouble believing he was after a sword so weathered down that it made Zaraki's look new in comparison.

She grabbed the hilt...almost busted sword or not, it was still a weapon and she didn't fancy her chances since Sesshomaru had that acid whip thing in his arsenal.

Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed in rage when she was able to easily pull it from the pedestal. His father's favoritism towards humans was really beginning to piss him off.

"Do you really think to challenge me with that sword, human?" sneered Sesshomaru.

Ichigo said nothing...she knew when someone was trying to goad her into losing her cool, and his material was weak compared to Byakuya.

Sesshomaru struck with his whip, and Ichigo instinctively guarded. To her relief, the whip didn't cut through the blade. Though she sensed something waking up inside it. It was not happy.

Ichigo blinked.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me," she complained. "This is why you're so eager to get your claws on this sword?"

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes at her.

Ichigo sent a tendril of her spiritual energy into the blade. Silently she asked permission to wield it, though only temporarily. This was Inuyasha's birthright and it had been indirectly willed to him. Besides, she didn't think Zangetsu or Shiro would appreciate having competition.

The spirit contained in the sword was very surprised...however Ichigo could feel acceptance. It didn't mind letting her use it since she had no intention of keeping it permanently. Besides, Sesshomaru had already bonded to it's twin and it didn't appreciate the acid he had used earlier.

"What did you call this sword again?" said Ichigo, mostly to herself. The sword was audible to her, though it's voice was really faint and she had to strain to hear it. Her smirk became downright malicious.

Sesshomaru didn't know why, but that smile worried him.

It was the only warning he got as Ichigo began to channel her limited spiritual energy into the damaged blade.

"Shred my enemies with the four winds...Tessaiga!"

The look on Sesshomaru's face when Tessaiga transformed in her hands into it's TRUE form was utterly priceless. Inuyasha would treasure it forever. He managed to turn into his true form, but Ichigo wasn't having it.

It was only natural he expected her to be a complete novice at using such a huge blade...he was completely unprepared for the fact that Ichigo was used to a much bigger one that was heavier in comparison.

He wouldn't look at Inuyasha's alpha as weak ever again after the way she took his arm off without breaking a sweat.
