Damn, it's really been a while hasn't it? Like 6 months, I believe. Incredibly sorry about all of that, it was an awkward mix of college stress/job stress/writer's block. But hey, managed to update on Godzilla S.P's Netflix International debut.

I don't overtly regret though, since I've thought of some new ideas for this story in the meantime that may have been too late if I had a more consistent schedule. That being said, there has been a number of new Kaiju media overtime (including both Godzilla vs Kong and Godzilla Singular Point) which will be addressed at the end of this chapter.

As you may have noticed, this story is now one chapter short. That's because I've decided to combine the first 2 chapters into 1, since the first chapter was a bit of a rushed proof of concept originally. Along with that, both the first and second chapter have received some edits. Not major ones, but I feel it's worth re-reading a little bit.

Now as for some review responses (Some of which practically just got posted, thank you for the support):

Aztec 13: Glad you like Erika's debut, in which case she is indeed based on Biollante, at least in some ways. How deep does this connection go? Well, just wait and see. Zilla is confirmed, but he won't be how you'd expect. And when it comes to Endeavor and Rei, sorry to say but that won't be altered. The goal I have for this story is to be something that'll leave the real My Hero Academia canon (even if I'm taking many liberties). No Quirk marriage means no Shoto Todoroki. No trauma, no character arc.

Kaiju-O Danny: I'm happy to know you're enjoying my story! I did look at your own, but unfortunately I'm not a Devilman fan so my interest isn't very engaged.

D3lph0xL0v3r: Gang Orca confirmed! But not as a main character, sorry about that.

And before we get to the story, it'd be odd for me not to acknowledge that GODZILLO'S IN THE NEW MY HERO ACADEMIA MOVIE!? WHAT!?

As night turned into day, two men are seen talking to each other in the middle of an empty warehouse, their voices echoing throughout the large and empty space. While still dark, their appearances are revealed through the faint sunlight coming through the windows of the building.

The shorter of the two was dressed head to toe in black leather from his shoes to the jacket draped over his shoulders, all complete with a red visor over his eyes along with a biker helmet with serrated blades in a uniformed line. The taller one wore a long-sleeved black shirt under a brown vest paired with black shorts. Large drill-like gauntlets covered his arms up to his elbows and a pair of yellow goggles were placed on his face, hiding his eyes just like his partner.

The one with the red visor spoke with enthusiasm, "I'm telling you, we need to rebrand! Give our ourselves some new names!"

The other scratched his head in confusion, careful not to hit himself with his equipment, "But we already picked out names, shouldn't we just stick with those?"

Shaking his head, his friend replied, "No, no, no! We're part of a new squad, we should separate ourselves from our solo gig in case this all goes south. We need to preserve our original reputation."

The taller of the two excitedly replied, "OH, I get it now! Okay, let me think...how about-…" He went into a pose where his left arm is fully extended into the air diagonally with his right arm in the same direction except stopping at his chest. "...MEGARO!"

"No, you've gotta have something that sounds a lot more different, you can't just change one letter. More like this-…" He crossed his hands into an X-shape and smiled with a mouth full of sharp teeth. "...BORODAN!"

A third female voice spoke out, "How about you spare all of us a headache and just stick to your original crap, you're getting on my nerves." While she couldn't be seen within the shadows, the woman's yellow eyes shown in the darkness, glaring at the two.

'Borodan' gritted his teeth, "Hey, this is some quality material!"

'Megaro' followed up, "You tell 'em, Borodan!"

Pausing for a moment, the leather-clad man put a gloved hand over his face, "You know what, it doesn't sound so good when I hear it from someone else."

The other shrugged, "Original names it is."

A fourth masculine voice chuckled, the speaker remaining unseen as his voice reverbed throughout the empty warehouse, "Good, now that you have such an important issue out of the way, let's go. It's showtime..."

The hidden female sighed, "Finally, I was getting so bored."

The taller of the duo put a hand to his chin, "Wait, shouldn't we wait for the other two?"

The shorter one put a hand on his friend's shoulder, "You forget, they prefer to stay behind. Now, since we've been put to action again..."

The duo smirked at each other and began to do a chant and different poses:

"We're the ones who's on every list!"

"The bros who'll slash and blast you to bits!"

"WE'RE THE DUO, MEGALO AND GIGAS!"

The woman rolled her eyes as she walked away from the two having fun with each other, heading towards the door where a fourth person stood smirked.

Meanwhile...

Haruo and Miki's walk to U.A. progressed slowly, taking their time while the sun was still rising over the horizon. Their walk had been mostly silent, neither of the two speaking up to start a conversation. While Haruo stayed true to his quiet nature regarding socializing, Miki's mind was stuck on something else. Her face stayed lightly red from her "chat" with Haruo's sister. Thankfully for Miki, either Haruo hasn't noticed or he simply didn't think it was important to bring up, maybe mistaking her for being affected by the cool morning air.

In an attempt to distract herself, Miki spoke up for the first time since they left the boy's house, "So Haruo, what's the game plan for your class?" When Haruo's only response was a raise of his eyebrow, she specified, "I mean, how are you going to act with your classmates? Will you actually attempt to make some friends or pull the loner act and ignore everyone...like usual?"

Haruo grunted, "And you think this is important because...?"

Miki frowned, "It's 'important' because you're in a hero school now. You should at least try to make friends with somebody since you'll be forced to work together either way."

Rolling his eyes, the red-eyed teen responded, "If I see someone strong enough, I'll consider them approachable. If not, they'll be a rival or someone to be a steppingstone."

With a frustrated sigh, Miki said, "And it's that attitude that got you second place in your entrance exam. You'd have barely passed third and fourth if you weren't mistaken for being all noble and 'stopping the robot's rampage'. You can't just pretend you'll become the #1 hero if you only fight villains."

Haruo growled, "I'm not gonna pretend to care about rescue crap either, splitting my focus like that isn't how I fight. Besides, Rhedos is a combat-only pro yet he's in the top 5. I'll just follow his example."

After that declaration, Miki pouted and pulled out her cell phone, typing away. This action made Haruo give a smirk, satisfied he got his point made. That satisfaction died quickly though, as Miki decided to suddenly shove her phone into the boy's face.

"How's this for an explanation!?" With a frown, Haruo stared at the image displayed on the small touch screen. What Miki searched up was a movie poster, titled "They Came From 20,000 Fathoms". The poster art had the vague silhouette of a reptilian creature battling some kind of octopus with the text "Featuring the Pro Hero, Rhedos!" written in bold at the top.

Haruo chuckled humorlessly, "Your point is that he's a movie star?"

"Exactly!"

"...eh?"

Putting her hands on her hips, Miki smirked, "While Rhedos is known for only directly fighting villains and giving minimal rescue efforts, he also has quite the movie career. His acting profession gives him enough fans to rapidly grow his popularity, thus earning his high spot in the rankings."

Haruo opened his mouth to respond but merely closed it and kept walking on. He had enough pride to bite his tongue and admit defeat. Any attempt to argue may make Miki suggest something crazy like-...

"Maybe you should give acting a shot too?"

Haruo's eye twitched at Miki's idea, it was as if she read his mind and blurted out the first stupid thing he thought of (which she likely did, given her quirk). "I'd rather die."

Nudging his shoulder with her elbow, Miki replied, "C'mon, I think it'd work out for you. If you just want to be an action hero, might as well promote yourself similarly. And your quirk is perfect, monster movies are pretty big lately."

Haruo facepalmed with an audible smack, "I'm not going to become some B-lister just to boost my popularity, I'm above that bullshit."

Seeing Miki glare at him, Haruo continued, "I'll think of something, just stop trying to coach me. I told you and Erika, I don't need someone to watch over me." Becoming an actor was out of the question, but she had a point. Something would need to be done if he wanted that top spot on the hero rankings.

Eventually the two reached U.A. Academy, the shadow of the building practically engulfing its entrance as the sun rose behind it. They split off a few minutes after entering the school, Miki noting that General Studies classes are placed in a separate area from the Hero Course.

As Haruo approached what would become his homeroom, he stopped as he heard several voices from inside the classroom. He considered his options for a moment before muttering, "…Allies, huh…."

Several minutes earlier…

Masaki scratched his head as he nervously stared at the door for his classroom, towering over him. While the water-user managed to make it to the Hero Course like he wanted, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. However, he stumbled forward as someone suddenly slapped his back.

"Masaki, I knew you'd be here!"

While still shocked at the sudden push, Masaki's eyes widened as he heard the familiar voice speaking his name. Swerving around, he recognized the boy covered in spiky armor from the entrance exam.

Smiling, the water user commented, "Katsumi, it's good to see you too."

It really wasn't much of a surprise that the armored teen made it to the hero course, at least to Masaki. Not only was he strong, but he also saved him and Yuri from one of those robots, likely adding to his Rescue Points. Funny enough, that Rescue Point system is what saved Masaki's skin and allowed him to pass. Guess it really did pay to stick to your morals after all.

Katsumi looked past Masaki and stared at the door in front of them, "So you're in Class 1-B too, huh?"

Masaki nodded, "You'd be right, funny how we're classmates now."

Putting a hand on his chin in thought, Katsumi asked, "Speaking of that, do you think Yuri and Miana made it too? It'd be nice to have some more friends in the same class."

After the events of the entrance exam, the two of them and Yuri had talked quite a bit, becoming fast friends. Miana left shortly before, she said wouldn't fit well with the group despite the protests of the rest.

Masaki shrugged, "I hope so, but if they did, it's also possible they're in 1-A instead."

As the two entered the classroom, they noticed several other students had already arrived and taken their seats, most of them strangers to the boys. Among them was a diligent looking teen with silver hair and yellow eyes quietly texting on his phone, a girl with black hair with blue stripes writing in her notebook, a giant of a man sitting in the back covered in hair ("Does that kid have a beard?"), a redheaded boy with wings listening to a pair of headphones as his feet were on his desk, and a certain ghost girl who Masaki and Katsumi actually knew…

Yuri turned from someone else she was talking to and her eyes lit up upon seeing the two of them, "Mizushima! Katsumi! It's great to see you guys here, how've you been?"

She slowly floated over to them, giving a small wave to the person she was talking to as Masaki answered, "Everything's good on our end, I'm just happy to have passed at all. Do you know if Tomoyuki made it too?"

Yuri shook her head, "I haven't seen her yet, but there's no way she didn't pass. Maybe she's in the other class, 1-A?"

Masaki nodded his head, "That's an idea I brought up myself."

Katsumi spoke up, "Or she's just not here yet? It's pretty early right now."

Yuri shrugged, "We'll probably just have to wait and see, in the meantime I want you two to meet one of my other friends."

The two looked on as the ghost girl gestured to a person sitting behind her, a boy who slowly waved, "Yo."

Yuri's friend was a tired looking guy with white hair and gray eyes. Aside from the heavy bags under his eyes, nothing was too notable about him aside from his messily thrown together student uniform, although he seemed to randomly twitch for some reason.

The white-haired teen got up and walked towards them, "The name's Eddie. Eddie Brock, first name please. If I had to guess, that makes you two Masaki Mizushima and Katsumi Oda?"

Masaki answered, "That's right. Eddie's an American name, right?"

The albino-haired boy answered, "Right-o, transferred a couple years ago. Japanese was hard to learn but I managed, Yuri's my neighbor." His eye twitched.

Katsumi then asked, "You okay, dude? You seem a little out of it."

Eddie responded with a simple, "Annoying roommate." Massive twitch.

"Okay..."

A new voice suddenly interrupted the conversation, "Look at the children on their playdate, how cute."

The four of them turned to look at the red-haired winged teen, who was smirking at the small group. His bright yellow eyes shown with arrogance as he continued, "You do realize this U.A. right? You amateurs should just be focusing on yourselves."

Eddie glared, "Cool, didn't ask for your opinion bird boy."

The newcomer stood up and walked over to them, a smug smirk on his face as he leaned his arm on the classroom door, "The name's Akuma Honda, burn it into your mind. That's the name that'll be on every news outlet you can think of!"

Yuri muttered quietly to Masaki, "Someone's full of themself." He nodded in agreement.

Katsumi stepped forward, his own smirk apparent, "So you're strong, huh? Think you can prove it?"

Akuma sneered and leaned forward, "Just try and stop me, armadillo."

"HOLD IT!"

Once again, another voice called out and distracted the group of students. This time it was the diligent looking silver-haired teen, his back straight as he strutted over.

Akuma scoffed, "I don't like people who barge in on private shit, what do you want?"

Eddie commented, "Hypocrite."

The diligent teen spoke, "I want you to stop making such a fuss. We're here to be heroes, not to pick fights with our future friends. The duty of a hero is to protect, not incite petty conflict."

The winged teen groaned, "One of those types, huh? And where'd you get that preachy mindset from?"

"I'm Hayata of the Tsuburaya family," Hayata answered, "I'm proud to uphold my family's standard."

Everyone but Akuma's eyes widened in surprise, "...Never heard of them."

Eddie rolled his eyes, "Dumbass."

As Akuma glared at him, Yuri explained, "The Tsuburaya family are a lineage of pro heroes, their popularity is insane."

Masaki continued, "They even have a group name, the 'Ultra Warriors', I think."

Hayata smiled, "That's correct! I aspire to be just as good as the rest of my family and spread justice to all villainy."

He turned to Akuma and went on to say, "With that in mind, would you kindly get your act together? It would be hazardous to work with someone so focused on their own pride."

Akuma fumed, his wings glowing slightly red and orange, "You think I care about your stupid family!? I'll crush all of you and prove I'm the greatest hero you've ever witnessed! My quirk is more powerful than anything you batch of side characters can-…"

"Shut up and stop blocking the door."

Akuma's eyes widened for a brief second before he growled in annoyance, upset at yet another interruption. Turning around swiftly, his mouth opened only to close as he stared at a pair of fierce red eyes.

Haruo stood with his arms crossed in the doorway, glaring with a cold stare at the red-headed teen. While he physically didn't seem like much, Akuma couldn't help but be put off slightly by Haruo's intimidating eyes, his wings returning to normal as Akuma lost his nerve. Hearing no objections, Haruo walked into the classroom.

As Haruo approached, he advised, "If you want actual respect, sit down and keep your mouth shut. No one cares about your boasting, that's something a background extra does." With that said, Haruo pushed Akuma with his shoulder as he passed by and sat in one of the many still empty seats.

While Akuma gave a heated and angry glare towards the newcomer, he thought better of it and walked back to his seat, shoving his headphones back on and sulked silently.

Eddie chuckled at the sight, "Seems like hot wings lost his steam, gonna have to thank that other guy later. Any of you know him?"

Hayata stroked his chin, "Not me. I don't agree with his attitude, but I can admit it worked to pacify him." He proceeded to walk back to his seat, not wanting to intrude on the group of friends anymore.

Masaki and Yuri, while amused at what just happened to the egotist, also both shook their heads. Although Yuri noticed Katsumi staring at Haruo in his seat, his eyebrows furrowed in thought.

The ghost girl softly nudged him, making sure to avoid any of his spikes. When he turned his head at the sudden distraction, she quietly asked, "Do you know who that is?"

At that, the spiked teen merely shrugged, "I don't think I do, something in my gut tells me that he's familiar though. Maybe we briefly met at the entrance exam and that's it?"

"Hello, did I miss something?"

In what seems to be a running theme, another newcomer arrived through the door and gained the group's attention. This time however, it was the familiar face of Miana.

Katsumi smiled, "It's about time you showed up!"

Masaki continued, "It's good to see you again."

Eddie turned to Yuri, "Moth girl, right?"

She sweatdropped, "...Close enough."

Haruo slowly sighed as he sat at his desk, closing his eyes in thought. It took not even a minute and already he's sure a new rival has been added to his list. Frankly, it was inevitable, Haruo just seemed to be a magnet for annoyance. The day he's left alone is the day the earth explodes. Still, to happen that quickly is bound to annoy Miki….If he told her.

"Thank you."

Haruo's eyes slowly opened as he heard a small feminine voice to his left. His red eyes darted to the desk next to him, seeing a female student staring at him with dark brown eyes.

She has short black hair in a sort of blunt bob cut, with streaks of blue dye added towards the front bangs. The U.A. student uniform on her is kept professional with no traces of nary a wrinkle, paired with black tights.

As he raised an eyebrow at her, she continued with a simple response, "His boasting was distracting me."

Gesturing to her desk, Haruo can see an open notebook with various notes and sketches, the most common theme being custom tech and their compatibility with certain quirk types.

Haruo scoffed, "People like him are all too common, wanting praise before he's even proven himself. That ego's gonna take a beating and we'll all be there to see it."

The girl nodded her head and silently turned back to her notebook. The two sat in silence for a moment before she turned back towards him again.

She extended her hand, "Mako Mori. You?"

Haruo stared at her hand briefly before slowly shaking it, "Haruo Serizawa."

Mako had a small look of surprise which quickly changed into a small smile as she turned back to her work, satisfied with their interaction. Haruo didn't think much of her reaction and went back to his thoughts, albeit a little uncomfortably after the sudden conversation. Looks like he gained an enemy and an acquaintance within the first few moments of his school year, not bad.

Haruo took a brief glance at the other students who've arrived before him, a mix of scouting and judging potential rivals. Aside from Akuma and Mako, most of the students in the room were flocked together in a small group. To Haruo, they looked friendly but possibly too much so. He struggles enough playing nice with a single person, he's not going to attempt five at once. The silver haired one seemed a bit too uptight as well.

The last person, though, Haruo couldn't help but focus on much longer. That person was the tallest person in the room, looking a bit like a human gorilla. Physically, Haruo couldn't help but be impressed with his muscle mass. While Haruo's strength comes from his alternate form, this taller boy seems to be naturally powerful even without a physically apparent quirk. But aside from looks, Haruo could sense the strength of this new classmate.

A lesser ability of Haruo's quirk is a range of enhanced senses, including a sort of sixth sense towards recognizing powerful individuals. While an occasional nuisance when Haruo wants to avoid conflict (such as the entrance exam), Haruo naturally becomes drawn towards those within a certain power range. However, Haruo is also capable of a weaker version of this sixth sense in his normal state, which was nudging his mind as he stared at his tall classmate, who was merely sitting at his desk with his arms crossed, unaware of the attention he's unintentionally signaling.

Clearly, to Haruo, Shoichi Cooper is a rival he'll have to prepare for in the future.

Meanwhile, Nezu hummed to himself as he sat at his desk, shuffling through different papers. Being the principal of Japan's most prestigious hero school, the white rodent is expected to be fully prepared for today's orientation. When it comes to the wave of new students each year, Nezu believes in making a good first impression for the new heroes-in-training.

His preparations were interrupted with the sound of a cell phone on his desk ringing, his ears twitching slightly at the sudden new sound. Notably, it wasn't the school phone but the principal's own cell phone.

Reaching across the desk with his stubby paw, Nezu grabbed the phone and answered, "This is Nezu, principal of U.A., how may I help you?"

A calm but deep voice rumbled out of the speaker, "Nezu. It's been a while old friend."

Nezu's button eyes widened slightly, "Ah, Commissioner Pentecost, it certainly has been quite a long time."

Pentecost gave a light chuckle, "That it has, but I'm afraid this isn't a social call. I'm about to break a few regulations here, so we can call this doing you a few favors."

Nezu's demeanor suddenly became more serious at the other man's words, "…I'm listening, Stacker."

The commissioner continued, "I'll be blunt, there has been a massive spike in villain attacks these past few days all over the city. While the locations are various, signs dictate that the same individuals are responsible for each attack. Even more alarming, most of them are centered close to the area of U.A. Academy. Whether that's actually related to your school or simply just a coincidence, we're uncertain."

The principal's eyebrows furrowed, "That's quite the news. If this is supposed to be confidential, why haven't any witnesses or victims reported these attacks yet?"

"Because all of the victims are criminals themselves. Even then, survivors of these incidents aren't easy to come by. Whatever these attacks amount to aren't random, they're targeted."

After a small moment of silence and contemplation, Nezu offered, "Perhaps this is the work of a new vigilante?"

Pentecost immediately countered, "Several clues suggest the presence of Megalo and Gigas at each scene."

Nezu was perplexed, "The mercenary duo?"

The commissioner answered, "Indeed. Unless they've started their own plans or constant gangs have hired them back-to-back, the most likely scenario is that they've been hired by a single source to help them take out the rest."

After another small moment of silence, the rodent questioned, "Is there anything to go by?"

Pentecost replied, "They seem to like leaving a calling card."

Before Nezu could question that statement, his phone buzzed to signal a text. Opening it, Nezu stared at a photo from a crime scene. The image depicted a wall painting in dark red, several streak marks and a slumped body suggesting that paint wasn't actually used.

Drawn in blood is a crude crown symbol with the silhouette of three dragon heads surrounding it.

And thus we properly can identify this story arc as the "Kings of Terror Saga".

I hope you enjoyed this long awaited new chapter, I worked through some serious writers block but I managed to finish it. Got some new characters and screentime for some others. Also, as you may have noticed in my updated Chapter 1, I have decided this story may have parts where a specific song is listed to play. It won't happen often, just in moments where I feel like it's fitting enough. If you find this annoying, by all means let your voice be heard.

So it's been a busy time for Kaiju fans, hasn't it? Plenty of new material for us to sink our teeth into and not one of them disappoints (at least, to me). Now given the nature of a story like mine that at least somewhat adapts official media, I'm just gonna answer the unavoidable question of "will I be taking anything from said new Kaiju media" right now. Note, these aren't final answers, anything I say can be subject to change overtime. Now, let's go in release order:

Pacific Rim – The Black: Short answer, no. While I enjoyed the Netflix series, I can't really see myself taking anything from it. Originally, I was thinking of including Mei as a character but I decided against it. At most, I might include Shane as a minor role but that's it. Maybe Season 2 will give me something.

Marvel's The Trials of Ultraman: No, mainly because I haven't read any of the Marvel Ultraman comics and have no real interest to do so.

Godzilla vs Kong: Yes, most definitely. However, one thing I want everyone to keep in mind is that no plans in terms of story have changed much between before and after I saw Godzilla vs Kong. Practically everything I have planned based on the movie was decided solely from the trailers and outside sources. That being said, I will be basing some Haruo vs Shoichi fights on the movie fights, they're just too good not to include.

Godzilla Singular Point: Another definite yes! I absolutely loved Godzilla S.P and have plans to take some elements from the anime. Of course, don't expect anything crazy like Godzilla Ultima or anything involving Singular Points and Archetype, I don't want to go too crazy (right now at least...). But expect some clear references and some spotlight for a certain new boy in town. Also, if you decided to go back and see my changes to previous chapters, you might have noticed a newly included reference already...

(By the way, don't put any spoilers for the series in a review of this chapter at least for a little while. A large amount of people haven't seen the show yet and were waiting for it to come to Netflix International today)

Gridman Universe - DYNAZENON: Loved the series, can't think of much to do with it right now unfortunately. I have some plans to adapt some aspects of the Gridman Universe, but so far only from the first series. Maybe I'll include Gauma at one point 'cause I love his character but can't say for certain now.

Godzilla – Monsters and Protectors: It's early into the comic but I haven't really seen anything worth putting focus towards. I dunno.

Ape vs Monster: Of course...not.

Ultraman Trigger – New Generation Tiga: A bit preemptive but no, mostly because I have no plans to watch it for the recent future. Why? Because I'm afraid Ultraman is a series I'm not overtly familiar with BUT I am making plans to start from the ground up and am currently watching the original 1966 series with plans to go from there (Partially also the reason why I decided to adapt the original Hayata Ultraman specifically). I do plan on watching Shin Ultraman when it comes out so I may adapt some new stuff from there (Don't ask me about the Netflix Ultraman series though. I didn't enjoy Season 1 and don't plan to watch Season 2).

And that's it for this time. Leave a review, any likes or dislikes you have are welcome. This chapter's question will be: Out of the past 6 months of new Kaiju content, which one's your favorite?
