-Chapter Sixty-One-
"Finally! Long time no see, my friends!" Mr. Two chirped from the top of the crow's nest the second we arrived at the place he told us to come to if we wanted our ship back. "Did you miss little old me?" he sweetly asked, innocently batting his lashes as he peered down at us.
"Not a bit" Zoro honestly answered.
"Let's unload" Sanji said. "Later, ducks, thanks for the lift" he waved, thanking the Supersonic Duck Squadron for generously giving us a ride.
"Yeah, you guys take care of yourself" Usopp waved as well.
"Thanks for your guys' help" I chirped. "I hope they give you lots of treats when you get back."
"Have a safe trip" Zoro said.
"Say bye to the king, the old tube-haired guy, and all the others for us!" Luffy grinned as the ducks took their leave, running back in the direction of the palace.
"Bye, fellas" Usopp smiled.
"Farewell, may you ugly ducklings turn into beautiful swans" Mr. Two waved, tears welling in his eyes. "Wait, hold on" he stopped, jumping down from the crow's nest and onto the ship's railing.
"Yeah, what?" Sanji gruffly asked.
"Don't, "yeah, what," me—that's just rude" Mr. Two scolded. "You should learn some manners, pretty boy. Friends aren't supposed to talk to friends that way" he chastised with the waggle of his finger.
"Quit saying that, weirdo" Luffy frowned. "We're not friends, we're enemies—you lied to us" he glared.
"No, I didn't! I just didn't mention I was a member of Baroque Works" Mr. Two argued. "Besides, none of that really matters now, does it?" he asked, taking a seat on the railing. "Baroque Works is done for now and that means that we're no longer enemies" he explained.
"Hey, move it" Zoro grunted, carrying up a couple of boxes that I sat on top of.
"Oh, my bad" Mr. Two said, scooting over and giving us enough room to pass.
"Thank you" I chirped, causing the man to smile as he nodded.
"Don't be polite to him..." Zoro grumbled as he walked onto the ship.
"If we're not enemies, ballerina guy, then why the heck did you steal our ship?" Luffy accusingly asked.
"Oh, how dumb are you?" Mr. Two frowned.
"Watch it!" the rubber man angrily snapped.
"Listen," Mr. Two huffed, "if I hadn't taken your little ship where it was lowered, what do you think would have happened to it?" he asked.
"The Marines probably would have seized it" Nami said.
"Yeah, that's the most likely situation" I agreed.
"Change that probably to a defiantly, honey" Mr. Two grimly frowned. "The Marines have been looking all over for you guys and your ship, every part of the country has been barricaded—locked down" he revealed.
"Hey, wait a minute, hold on" Luffy blinked as he slowly processed what he had just been told. "Are you telling us you took our ship, the Going Merry, so the Marines wouldn't?" he curiously asked.
"Really?" Usopp questioned.
"How come?" Chopper inquired, tilting his head as he innocently peered up at the ballerina.
"Because you guys are my friends" Mr. Two cheerily responded.
"Well, that changed their attitude towards him rather quickly!" I laughed as the four started to dance and cheer with one another just like they had back when they first met.
"Need help loading?" Nami asked, ignoring the four.
"No, this is the last one" Sanji shook his head.
"We're friends? Yeah right—tell us the truth, twinkle toes" Zoro scoffed. "You and your crew don't have a chance of getting through that block gate, but you might if you had us as allies" he accused as the cheering came to a sudden halt and our three friends separated themselves quickly from the man.
"Bon Clay" they frowned, narrowing their eyes in suspicion as the ballerina nervously laughed in return.
"That's right, but in times such as these, we have to band together under the flag of friendship—if you believe in friendship say aye!" he suddenly and dramatically cried.
"Aye!" Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper cheered.
"Yeah, Straw Hats!" Mr. Two's men cheered, their ship suddenly appearing out of nowhere.
"Where were you guys?!" Zoro snapped.
-Morning-
"Dammit! Shoot cannonballs—I can't reflect pointy things!" Luffy irritably snapped as more iron spears were shot at us.
"Seriously, give me a break..." Usopp grumbled.
"I'll give them points for actually using something that can't be reflected and has a chance of causing even more damage" I sighed, crossing my arms. "Still, that doesn't make it any less annoying..." I muttered.
"If we take any more iron spears to the bottom of the ship, it'll be just a matter of minutes before we sink" Sanji pointed out.
"Well, that's a given" I said.
"More!" Nami shouted as even more spears were shot toward us.
"Hey, I can't keep plugging these holes, you guys!" Chopper shouted from below the ship.
"Just keep trying" I shouted back as he reluctantly nodded. "We can't keep taking this much damage, we'll sink in no time if we don't do something quick" I reminded the ginger, repeating what Sanji had said just mere second's ago.
"I know that! Don't just stand there—do something!" Nami snapped as she turned to everyone else.
"What more can we do? It takes all our effort to attack one side" Sanji said. "One ship versus eight isn't a fair fight."
"Yeah, well the Marines don't exactly believe in fair fights when it comes to pirates" I pointed out, nervously biting my thumb in thought. "They'll keep hounding us until we inevitably sink or give up..." I muttered.
"If this was hand-to-hand combat, we'd have a better chance—we're stuck" Zoro frowned. "Whether we chase them or run away, they won't change their position" he huffed in annoyance as I nodded in agreement.
"The Black Spear Formation—it's a work of art!" a weird-looking Marine boisterously laughed from a nearby ship.
"It's the Black Cage Unit Specialty! Idiots!" a pink-haired Marine mockingly laughed alongside the first one.
"Hey, hypnotist, I thought you were a pirate!" Luffy shouted toward the laughing Marines.
"I am! Now why don't you shut up—my reasons are my own!" the hypnotist angrily snapped.
"Where do I know that guy?" Sanji muttered in thought as he squinted his one visible eye in an attempt to see the pink-haired Marine better.
"Sanji, Luffy, do you know those men?" I curiously asked.
"Yeah!"
"Not the first guy, but I think I might have run into the second one before though I'm not sure."
"It took a long time, but I finally found him" the pink-haired Marine glowered. "That annoying crazy cook and his gang of violent cutthroats—here today, I vow to sink them!" he boldly proclaimed.
"Stare at this ring, you're about to help me finally prove that I'm not a weirdo and that in fact, my service alone will pave the way to victory" the hypnotist soothingly cooed as he started to swing a ring back and forth.
"Everything's fallen into chaos rather quickly" I remarked, watching how everyone hastily moved around as Mr. Two and Chopper desperately tried to cover up the holes below deck while Usopp was now messing around with one of the cannons.
"Tell me about it..." Nami grumbled in agreement.
"Hurry!" Mr. Two frantically cried out.
"One...two...die!" the hypnotist shouted just as the mast to the Marine ship was suddenly destroyed, causing it to fall right over onto a nearby Marine ship and destroy it as well in the process.
"Usopp, did you do that?" Luffy gaped, looking towards the shocked sharpshooter. "Amazing!" he cheered.
"I'll say, you got a pretty good aim there!" I whistled with a grin.
"Yes, just as I calculated—it was me! That's what happens to enemy ships when I'm on the job!" Usopp pridefully boasted.
"That was amazing, Nosey" Mr. Two praised. "The ships in the south have all sunk, now nothing can prevent us from breaking through" he grinned.
"Bon Clay, we've got trouble!" one of his men suddenly and frantically shouted.
"What? Trouble?" he frowned.
"Black Cage!" his men fearfully whimpered.
"What's going on?" Luffy asked.
"Black Cage Hina" Mr. Two answered. "She's a Marine Captain—we're in her jurisdiction" he explained.
"Hina, huh?" I questioned.
