-Chapter Seventy-One-

"For the record, I've never once called myself a Pirate Hunter" Zoro corrected.

"Well, obviously other people did, so then who came up with the name?" Robin asked.

"Yeah, I'm kind of curious about that as well" I piped up.

"Who knows? Doesn't matter to me, lady" Zoro grumbled with a shrug as he leaned back and closed his eyes once more. Robin only walked away, quietly laughing to herself as she looked back at the swordsman and shook her head. Tilting my head, I flickered my gaze over to Luffy and Usopp, who were still shooting off cannonballs and laughing their heads off. But the minute I looked back at Zoro, I couldn't help but huff a smile when I saw that he had already fallen back asleep.

-Time Skip-

"Come on, guys, do something or they're going to blow us out of the water!" Nami irritably huffed over the sounds of cannon fire.

"I don't know what you're so worried about, they keep missing us every time they shoot" I said, leaning against the railing as she shook her head.

"Just because they're missing now, doesn't mean they'll keep missing" she argued.

"I doubt that" I said, watching as another cannonball hit the water with a splash.

"I'm too hungry to do anything..." Luffy weakly groaned from where he and Chopper were draped over the ship's railing.

"Me too..." Chopper nodded in agreement.

"Then why not fish with Usopp and catch something for Sanji to cook?" I suggested, motioning toward the fishing sharpshooter. I sweat dropped when all I received was more groans, indicating that they didn't appreciate my suggestion of having to work for their food.

"This would be much easier without all the damn cannon fire..." Zoro grumbled as he tried to clean his swords.

"Usopp, have you caught anything yet?" Luffy finally asked.

"For the thousandth time, no—that's like me asking you if you've found any freshwater" Usopp frowned in annoyance.

"If the cannonballs don't kill us, starvation or dehydration will..." Chopper mumbled.

"How much longer 'til we reach an island?" I asked. "By the way they keep complaining, it seems we're in desperate need of supplies" I said, looking to the irritated ginger beside me.

"Sorry, Skylar, but I'm a bit busy trying to get everyone to keep us from sinking to answer your question" she grounded out as more cannonballs whizzed past.

"Robin! I made you some tea and a snack that's as sweet as you, a little specialty" Sanji cooed as he suddenly came bursting out of the kitchen.

"Thank you, Mr. Cook" Robin sweetly smiled as the blond handed her the treats he had made just for her.

"I want a snack too!" Luffy loudly whined the second he saw the blond.

"You've been holding out on us, you lovesick bum!" Usopp snapped as he and the other two jumped the blond—all of them frustrated to learn that the cook had been hiding food from them this entire time.

"Hey, get back!" Sanji growled in return as he tried to hold the three back with just his foot.

"Um...guys" Nami spoke up, eye twitching the longer she listened to the four argue. "They're still right behind us!" she stressed, growing more and more frustrated by the minute as Robin joined in on the commotion by using her Devil Fruit powers to tickle Luffy and Chopper as a way to settle them both down.

"Looks like they're having fun" I chuckled.

"This is no time to laugh!" Nami angrily snapped.

"Nami, it appears we got more to worry about than just the Marines—you're the navigator, so navigate" Zoro called up to her right as a fog suddenly settled around us.

"Alright, alright" Nami sighed as she nodded, trying her best to calm down. "More fog, huh?" she questioned. "Hard to port, guys—pull forty-five degrees to the left" she instructed as we just barely avoided the rocks that were in front of us. "We're out of the fog" she remarked when the fog finally started to clear and we made it out safely to the other side.

"Yep, and with luck, we've also lost the Marines as well" I nodded, tilting my head back.

"Hopefully" she sighed.

"Hey, guys! There's an island dead ahead!" Usopp called down from up in the crow's nest, having moved up there some time ago while we were busy navigating through the fog.

"I hope there's lots of food there" Luffy eagerly grinned.

"I mean, it's an island, so it'd be weird if there wasn't some vegetation growing there—don't worry, I'm sure we can find some food to feed that gullet of yours" I smiled, watching as the captain's grin only grew the second he looked back at me.

Once docked, we all decided to explore the island together.

"H-hey!" I yelped when Zoro suddenly picked me up and started to climb up the wall of rocks that now blocked our path. "W-what was that for? I could have climbed up here myself" I sputtered out in embarrassment the minute he sat me down.

"Hm, I'm sure you could have" Zoro hummed, ruffling my hair as he walked past me.

"And what exactly is that mean?!" I snapped, quickly chasing after him.

"It means those sticks for arms you got would have snapped if you tried climbing with them" he teased.

"The only thing that's going to snap is your spine if you don't leave me and my stick arms alone" I huffed, causing him to snort.

"Maybe it's uninhabited" Robin suddenly remarked after a while of walking and not seeing a single soul in sight.

"I'm starting to think you're right, normally by this time we would have at least seen another human or even come across a town" I agreed before my ears pricked when we suddenly heard something not that far from where we were. "Look" I pointed the minute I caught sight of a baby goat chewing on some grass.

"A goat?" Chopper questioned.

"Aw! it's just a little baby—so cute" I cooed, heart melting at the sight of the cutie.

"No, it's meat!" Sanji, Luffy, and Usopp shouted, lunging for the startled goat that now took off in a run. Loudly did they chant the word "meat" over and over as they chased after the poor animal.

"Get a hold of yourselves! I know you're hungry, but leave him alone—he's just a cute little goat!" Nami snapped at the three as she and I both quickly took a protective stance in front of the baby goat the minute the three had finally cornered him and were getting ready to lunge once again.

"She's right—he's nothing more than a defenseless child!" I nodded with a huff, puffing my cheeks out in annoyance.

"Wish I could say the same for his buddies, but they're not cute and defiantly not little and defenseless" Zoro scoffed, drawing his swords as a group of fully grown goats came from the brush and began to surround us.

"What are you talking about? They absolutely are adorable" I argued, not bothered in the least by the way the animals dragged their hoofs along the ground and lowered their heads as if getting ready to charge.

"Oh no! They set a trap and we fell right into it!" Chopper suddenly gasped.

"A trap?" I echoed with the tilt of my head.

"That's right" he nodded.

"Huh, I didn't know goats knew how to set traps..." I muttered, raising an eyebrow in amusement as I started to ponder why exactly they would ever need to set up a trap considering the fact that they're herbivores.

"I'll take care of them" Zoro frowned just as two of the goats charged at him.

"Don't hurt them!" Chopper cried.

"I swear if you cause any harm to their cute little heads, Roronoa, I will personally throw you off a cliff!" I threatened as the swordsman blocked one of the goats, pushing back against him as he dug his hoofs into the ground and pushed back twice as hard.

"These goats aren't evil, I can tell you that much" Chopper firmly stated as Sanji attempted to kick at a couple of the goats that had come charging towards him, only for them all to simply jump right over his leg and dodge the attack.

"Tabasco Star!" Usopp fired a small pellet filled with tabasco sauce at one of the goats, only to be taken aback when the animal simply kicked it toward Luffy instead which caused the little pellet to hit the rubber man in the eyes.

"Are you sure that was Tabasco sauce you filled that thing with?" I inquired the minute Luffy screamed and started to run around as fire now shot out of his eyes.

"Whoa...I didn't expect that..." Usopp mumbled in shock.

"Usopp, help!" Luffy cried out.

"Luffy, you need to find some water!" I called out to him as he continued to rush around with Usopp now chasing after him to help.

"Where can I find water?!" he screamed.

"I don't know" I shrugged.

"You sure are a big help!" Usopp snapped.

"Wait! We're not going to eat you or anything, I promise—we mean you no harm!" Chopper exclaimed, quickly trying to assure the animals that we truly didn't mean them any harm and that they had no reason to attack us. "Why'd you try to trap us? What's the deal?" he asked in his attempt to try and reason with the goats.

"Ah! Hair!" I cried out the second I felt my head harshly being yanked downwards by a goat suddenly chopping down on my hair and pulling. Twisting around, I grabbed my hair and started to tug, being mindful not to hurt the animal or rip my own hair out of my skull. "Come on, give it back!" I whined before falling back onto my bottom the minute the goat finally let go, instantly throwing off my balance. "Jerk..." I softly huffed, smiling when the goat only bleated at me.

"Huh? What the heck?" Chopper frowned. "They said someone ordered them to do it" he suddenly informed us after conversing with one of the goats.

"Does that mean there are other people on the island?" I asked, raising an eyebrow as I gently began to pet some of the goats that now gathered near me—quickly pulling my hand back every now and again whenever a few of them would snap at it while the others seemed to just lean into my touch. "You're all not so bad, just little troublemakers is all" I softly cooed, scratching under a goat's chin and causing him to softly bleat as he closed his eyes in contentment.

"Who was it?" Nami asked as I giggled upon witnessing a few goats pushing Zoro back. Clenching his jaw, his feet slid across the ground, unable to find any traction.

"Hm?" I hummed as one of the goats I had been petting suddenly and lightly bumped his head into my side before his head against my hand as if silently asking me to continue petting him. "You want me to keep petting you?" I asked before shouting in pain when another of the goats got a hold of my hair once again. "Come on! Quit it with the hair!" I cried out in frustration.

"No, Zoro! Stop!" Chopper frantically shouted just as I ripped my hair out of the goat's mouth with a grumble, going back to petting the other goat that seemed to patiently wait for me to continue petting him.

"Me? What about the goats?!" Zoro snapped.

"I thought I told you I'd throw you off a cliff if you hurt any of these goats, Zoro" I frowned.

"I'm not doing a damn thing to these goats!" he defended.

"Chopper! Watch out!" Nami shouted the minute she spotted a couple of the goats charging the reindeer.

"Stop it!" Chopper shouted, changing into his human form and causing the goats to skid to a halt as they now stared at him in startled curiosity. Our attention was soon dragged toward an older-looking man who suddenly fell from one of the nearby trees.

"Ah! A monster!" he screamed as he stared wide-eyed at Chopper.

"You're one to talk, old guy" Luffy said.

"Hey, you put out the fire" I pointed out when I noticed that the captain's eyes were no longer spewing flames.

"Yeah, no thanks to you..." Usopp grumbled.

"Chopper, is that old man the one that gave the goats their orders?" Nami asked.

"So, how about it?" Chopper asked, returning to his normal size as he looked to one of the goats for confirmation. "That's a yes" he nodded after getting his answer.

"Maybe the old-timer thought we came here to rob him or something?" Zoro suggested.

"Sounds reasonable" I nodded, going back to petting the goat beside me as I scratched underneath his chin.

"Hey, it's okay, all we're looking for is food and water" Sanji said.

"Nice try, but I can't trust anything a pirate says—I'm telling all of you right now, there's no treasure on this island! I don't have any money!" the old man aggressively stated.

"We kind of figured that out already by the way you're dressed, old man" Usopp sweat dropped.

"Damn pirates, you'll get nothing out of me! Do your worse!" the old man sneered. "Simmer me, bake me, whatever—I won't talk!" he huffed.

"Oh, that's good" Sanji grinned as he cracked his knuckles. "I'm a cook, you see, I excel in simmering and baking" he proudly boasted, practically teasing the old man as he now played along and acted as if we were a group of ruffians.

"Wait! Wait—I was only joking, so stay away!" the old man quickly retorted as he started to throw rocks at us. "You fiend! You killer! You scoundrel!" he snarled before quickly jumping into one of the bushes as if attempting to escape. Instead, he ended up getting stuck. With a tired sigh, Zoro drew one of his swords and started to cut the old man free.

"Whoa...is he okay?" Usopp worriedly asked the second the old man fainted upon being freed.
