IHermione spent the next day teaching Harry, Ginny, and Lily the runic alphabet and the ins and outs of Ancient Runes and then Hermione, Ginny, and Lily went home to be with their families leaving Harry and Sirius to spend the next few days by themselves. Not much of note happened on those days and on Thursday, August 11th, 1994, Harry arrived at the Creevey household for Colin's thirteenth birthday party.

Harry looked around to see who was there. He spotted the four Creeveys, Colin and Dennis and their parents Hugh and Tina. Hermione was there, as were Ginny, Luna, Susan, and Lily.

"Hiya, Harry" said Colin happily, "You will be staying here through the sixteenth, as will Hermione and Ginny. Harry, you will be sleeping in the bed in the spare room just like at Eastertime. Hermione, you will be sleeping in a sleeping bag in the living room, just like at Eastertime, and, Ginny, you will be sleeping in a sleeping bag in the front room, just like at Eastertime. Susan, Luna, and Lily will be joining us only for my birthday party and then will go home to their families until the seventeenth when we all meet up at the Weasleys place. "

"Lily?" asked Harry, "Was your mom able to get the surgery she needed with the funds I provided?"

"She's having the surgery tomorrow, " said Lily gratefully.

"I hope it goes well, " Harry told her hopefully.

"it's only because of you that it's even possible, " Lily reminded Harry emotionally.

At that moment, an owl swooped in and dropped what appeared to be a howler into Ginny's hands.

Ginny opened the howler straight away and they all heard Ron's earsplitting voice.

"HEY YOU WORTHLESS BITCH! I'M SO GLAD YOU DON'T GET TO HAVE YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY TODAY ON YOUR THIRTEENTH BIRTHDAY! HAVING TO SPEND THE DAY CELEBRATING SOMEONE ELSE'S BIRTHDAY IS EXACTLY WHAT YOUR SHITTY ASS DESERVES! SO, TAKE THAT LOSER!"

By the time Ron's howler had finished, Ginny was sobbing, and Harry and Hermione had put their arms around her on either side of her.

"That was extremely mean, " said Harry shaking his head, "How was I ever friends with that piece of shit in the first place?"

"Sending that howler was a really cruel thing for Ron to do, "agreed Hermione.

"Not to mention that Ron is ignorant of what's actually happening here today," piped up Colin, patting Ginny on the back, "Ginny, I know how important today being your thirteenth birthday is to you. The time turner thing may not have worked out, but Lily came up with the perfect solution."

Ginny looked at Lily and asked, "So what's going to happen then?"

"Colin is going to have his birthday party from 8 A.M. until noon. Then we'll take an hour lunch break. Then you will have your birthday party here today from 1 P.M. until 5 P.M. We were able to move your birthday party to today by solving the issue of you and Colin having the same birthday by giving Colin a morning birthday party and you an afternoon birthday party' " explained Lily.

"Oh, Lily!" said Ginny, tears of joy flowing down her cheeks as she went up and hugged Lily.

"I'm happy to have helped, " said Lily sincerely.

"We still have a bit of time before Colin's birthday party starts, " said Hermione seriously, "So let me share some news I saw in the Daily Prophet this morning about two new teachers Professor Lupin has hired to teach at Hogwarts this year. They will both start in their posts when the new semester starts in a few weeks."

"In which subjects have these new teachers been hired?" asked Colin curiously.

In response, Hermione stuck her right hand into her right hand pocket and pulled out a furled up newspaper. Quickly unfurling the newspaper, Hermione pointed to the front page headline.

Headmaster Lupin Hires Two New Professors to Hogwarts Staff.

There was a picture below the headline of two people who were smiling and waving at them.

On the left was an average sized average heighted albino woman with short hair and the on the right was a tall black man who was bald.

"Well, remembered Harry, "We read a few weeks ago about Binns being sacked. So, one of these people must be the new History of Magic teacher."

"The albino woman on the left of the picture is named Linda Legacy and she's going to be our new History of Magic teacher. Professor Lupin gave her a one year contract and if her job performance is satisfactory this year then he will offer her a long term contract."

"That's not entirely fair, " suggested Susan, "Professors Brew and Protect have to prove themselves over a second year to get long term contracts but Professor Legacy only has to prove herself for one year to get a long term contract?"

"Remember, " said Hermione clearly, "Professors Brew and Protect didn't start teaching until after Easter. Professor Legacy is going to be teaching the entire school year from the start of the year. That's enough time to prove herself."

"Hermione is right as usual!" grinned Harry.

"That makes sense, " said Susan, her question answered to her satisfaction.

"The tall bald black man is named Demar Decode and he has been hired to be the new Ancient Runes teacher after Professor Babbling left the teaching profession to become a public speaker, " explained Hermione.

"Is Professor Decode also on a one year contract with a chance to earn a long term contract with quality job performance?" asked Luna.

"Yes," answered Hermione simply.

"You know, " said Harry thoughtfully, "I'm really looking forward to returning to Hogwarts. I'm shot of Ron, I have a set of wonderful true friends now, I am more academically motivated than ever before, and I will have a set of quality teachers to learn from. "

"It should be our best year at Hogwarts ever!" agreed Hermione.
