-Chapter Eighty-Seven-

"Sea Prism Stone..." Robin weakly groaned.

"Really?" Zoro frowned.

"There must have been some among the treasure on the rowboat" I guessed. "Wouldn't surprise me, I'd imagine you could make quite a bit of money selling it..." I muttered.

"Damn!" Ian cursed, quick to start paddling away from our ship the second he was free just as Isoka and Rongo finally resurfaced.

"You jerk, come back!" Usopp shouted after the man, already taking aim with his slingshot.

"You better not miss him, okay!" Nami frowned.

"Calm down—let me shoot, will you! It takes time!" Usopp snapped as he tried to focus he shot while Nami practically breathed down his neck.

"Hurry up and shoot!" she impatiently repeated over and over until, eventually, the sharpshooter sighed and lowered his slingshot.

"Now he's too far away..." he grumbled.

-Later-

"Here's Captain Usopp's Super Special Hot Chocolate" Usopp said, handing Rongo and Isoka two cups of hot chocolate to help warm them up.

"Thank you" they both gratefully smiled.

"Well?" Akibi questioned, looking to Henzo who was currently messing with his Transponder Snail.

"It's no use—when we were able to go get a signal from the outside and make contact, it must have been a temporary thing" Henzo dejectedly sighed.

"Of all the bad luck...to have pieces of jewelry with Sea Prism Stone in it among all the treasure on that boat" Robin frowned, silently berating herself for letting Ian get away so easily.

"What is that thing?" Isoka curiously asked.

"It's a type of crystal, it has unique powers to cancel out anyone's Devil Fruit abilities" Zoro answered.

"Basically, it's like the sea compacted into a small solid form" I added as the child nodded in understanding.

"What's the point of having so much beautiful treasure if we can't even take it outside this stupid mist with us?" Nami complained.

"You're the navigator, aren't you? Can't you do something about it?" Usopp asked.

"Nope, this obscured area of the sea is a first for me" Nami admitted, shaking her head.

"We're out of options then" Zoro sighed.

"Seems so" I nodded, crossing my arms.

"Not really, I guarantee they'll come here" Henzo suddenly disagreed.

"What for?" Usopp asked.

"Would they even have a reason for coming back here?" I inquired.

"Wetton's ultimate goal has always been to get all the treasure out of Ape's Concert for himself" Henzo explained. "And now that his man—Ian—has returned alive, he'll be putting together a large force and come charging into the mist very soon."

"Ah, who would have ever guessed that greed would be the thing to save us?" I deadpanned.

"You've got to be kidding me—then we'll fight! I'm not handing over this treasure to anyone!" Nami huffed.

"Oh boy, here we go..." Usopp groaned.

"Wow, who would have ever thought that'd be her reaction?" I feigned shock.

"Yeah, who would have thought..." Usopp grumbled, nodding in agreement before we both held our hands up in defense when the ginger sharply looked at us.

"I wish Rapanui was back here with us" Rongo admitted with a heavy sigh as his head drooped. It wasn't long before he was startled out of his sulking as the waves suddenly started to pick up and harshly jostle the ship around.

"Ah! Everyone, hurry up and hold onto something!" Usopp cried out.

"What the hell is that?" Zoro shouted as a tower suddenly shot into the mist.

"Looks like some sort of building or pillar" I remarked.

"It's the Rainbow Tower" Henzo answered. "So, Wetton, you finally came..." he muttered to himself as the tower opened up and allowed for a sea of boats to come spilling out of it.

"Let's get them!" the children suddenly shouted the minute some of the men tried to climb aboard the Going Merry.

"What now?" Zoro owlishly blinked as he watched the kids charge forward.

"Be careful" Usopp called out to them.

"Wouldn't want you all getting hurt too badly" I chimed in.

"Ape's Concert is the territory of the Pumpkin Pirates, until Rapanui returns, it's our job to defend it!" Akibi proudly stated as he and the others now started to leave the ship.

"Professor?" Robin questioned when she saw that the old man was attempting to follow after the children.

"I'm one of the Pumpkin Pirates too, I'll go defend this place right alongside them" Henzo huffed.

"Here, let me help you with that" Usopp said, pulling out his slingshot.

"Henzo!" Robin gasped when the old man was suddenly electrocuted, causing him to stumble all over the place until he eventually stumbled right over the ship's railing and crashed into the rowboat below that the other children were gathered in. Instantly was the boat thrown off balance the minute he hit it, causing it to turn right over and submerge them in the water.

"Hey!" I snapped, quick to look towards the culprit...only to find a strange man dressed up in an even stranger-looking suit standing on a rowboat not that far away from our ship.

"You guys actually need help fighting a bunch of brats like these?" the man mocked, looking rather displeased that the people who were causing his men trouble were nothing more than mere children.

"Wetton?" Isoka questioned.

"He's still the same young guy he was before!" Pukau pointed out.

"No, no you see, I'm actually Captain Wetton's grandson—Lake" Lake corrected. "Do I really look like him though?" he asked.

"Yeah, you look just like him" Rongo nodded.

"Oh, really? So my grandfather was this handsome when he was younger then, huh?" Lake grinned.

"What is up with this guy?" Usopp asked.

"He's an odd one" Robin remarked.

"And apparently very self-conceited" I added.

"You guys, just hand over the treasure nice and easy or I'll have to teach you a lesson with my electroshock suit here" Lake suddenly threatened, his mood quick to sour once more once he remembered who exactly he was talking to.

"Be careful, his suit is electrified" Nami warned when she saw Zoro jump onto Lake's boat so he could face the redhead.

"Electricity, huh? Sounds interesting" Zoro grinned. "I was hoping to have a little fun right about now" he confessed, already eager for a fight as he drew all three of his swords. "I'll cut your electricity in half with my swords—sounds like fun, doesn't it?" he asked.

"Um...it doesn't really work that way" Nami sweat dropped as she and Usopp waved their hands.

"If the man says he's going to cut the guy's electricity in half then let him" I said.

"Skylar, you know just as well—"

"Now, now, Nami" I cut her off. "We both know Zoro doesn't understand the concept of logic" I said, throwing an arm around her shoulders. "Besides, he'll figure it out sooner or later" I whispered in her ear as she slowly nodded in agreement.

"Okay, just try—I dare you" Lake grinned as he took up Zoro's offer for a fight.

"Alright, if you insist" Zoro nodded.

-Later-

I winced as Zoro was once again shocked by another failed attempt at trying to get close enough to attack the redhead who seemed to do everything in his power to keep the swordsman at arm's length.

"My electroshock suit is invincible, there's no way you're going to escape from me!" Lake cockily boasted.

"Escape? Me? Never!" Zoro scoffed. "I'm going to cut that electricity of yours in half!" he sneered.

"All this time of being electrocuted and he still hasn't figured it out, maybe his brain was fried after one shock too many" I sweat dropped as Nami heaved a sigh from beside me and nodded in agreement.

"But, Zoro, didn't you hear what Nami said? You can't cut electricity" Usopp reminded the swordsman.

"I can cut it" Robin suddenly piped up.

"Huh? And how are you going to do that?" I curiously asked, raising an eyebrow when the raven-haired woman only smiled at me.

"Now, Roll Leg Thunder!" Lake shouted, smashing his arms together...only for no electricity to come out. "H-hey, what's going on here?" he sputtered, angrily stomping his feet in a rather childish manner when he realized that his suit was no longer working.

"That little suit he's so proud of doesn't do much good after the plugin's pulled" Robin smiled, clearly having used her Devil Fruit abilities to unplug the suit from the battery it was attached to.

"Dammit! How did this happen?!" Lake frowned. "Plug it back in! No fair you jerk—that wasn't fair!" he childishly complained before finally losing his balance and falling back into the water. "Hey! Somebody, help me! I'm drowning!" he frantically cried.

"That wasn't fun..." Zoro sweat dropped before flinching alongside the rest of us at the sudden sound of an explosion coming from the Rainbow Tower. "Damn, what the hell is going on now?" he frowned as we looked toward the now burning tower.

"He abandoned us!" we heard Ian angrily shout as helped an older redheaded man up into a boat. "Wetton, damn you! No real pirate captain would do something like that—no way!" he bitterly growled.

"Luffy?" Nami questioned the moment she spotted Rapanui emerging from the water, tightly holding Luffy up with him in an attempt to help keep the captain from sinking.

"Luffy!" I brightly smiled. "Rapanui's with him too...I wonder where they've been this whole time" I mused aloud.

"Rapanui!" Pukau happily gasped the minute he spotted the blond.
