A few minutes and a few nanoseconds after Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, Susan, and Lily had departed from The Three Broomsticks, Tracey guided Fleur and Emily into The Three Broomsticks.
Tracey held the door open for Fleur and Emily and entered behind them. After shutting the door, Tracey led Fleur and Emily to an open table and the three of them sat down together.
"So," explained Tracey to Fleur and Emily, "In Wizarding Britian, we have a drink that we drink once in a while as a treat. It's not something to drink all the time because the Law of Diminishing Returns applies to it. However, as a once in a while treat, it's liquid heaven. The drink is called butterbeer."
At this, Fleur and Emily shuddered.
"Sorry, Tracey," said Emily apologetically, "But Fleur and I don't and won't drink alcohol."
"Oh," clarified Tracey, "Don't be fooled by the name. There is no alcoholic content in butterbeer."
"Wat, is it made of zen?" asked Fleur curiously.
"It's a simple combination of water, sugar, and butter," answered Tracey matter of factly.
"Is butterbeer hot or cold?" wondered Emily.
"It can be either," replied Tracey, "it's more common to drink it hot as hot butterbeer warms your insides."
Fleur and Emily smiled at this.
At that nanosecond, a waitress approached them.
"Would you three like something to drink?" asked the waitress.
"Three hot butterbeers," ordered Tracey.
"Fleur, Emily," piped up Tracey warmly as the waitress went to get their drinks, "I'm the host and you two are the guests. The paying is on me today."
"Thank you, Tracey," replied Emily politely.
"Yes, zanks, Tracey, you are a very nice ost," added Fleur.
A few minutes and a few nanoseconds later, the waitress returned with their drinks and Tacey paid the waitress for all three of them.
"Yummy," grinned Emily, "My insides are glowing!"
"Zis would be a great drink to ave on a cold December day," observed Fleur, "You were right about ow zis stuff warms up ze drinker's insides."
"I thought you two would like that," smiled Tracey, "On a scale of a 1-10, rate the drink named butterbeer."
"I'd say eight out of ten," opined Emily thoughtfully, "It tastes fantastic and the effect of how it warms up the insides is wonderful. However, I won't go any higher than eight because this isn't something I'd want all the time. It's an awesome once in a while drink but I'd get sick of it quickly if I drank it too regularly."
"I'd say seven out ten," interjected Fleur, "It's good, but it's more a cange of pace drink to ave once in a wile. It would be best enjoyed in December and January. It's still good anytime, but it's not somzing to drink all ze time."
"It was exactly what I told you it would be," smiled Tracey.
"Yes," confirmed Fleur and Emily, returning Tracey's smile.
"Let's hit Honeydukes next," grinned Tracey.
Tracey led Fleur and Emily to Honeydukes, making sure to never take her eyes off them so they wouldn't get lost.
When they came to the entrance to Honeydukes, Tracey again held the door for Fleur and Emily before entering last herself and shutting the door behind her.
Emily and Fleur both looked suddenly overwhelmed as their eyes took in how vast all the shelves were.
"So," said Tracey patiently, "As you can see, there are zillions of options available to you here. Here we are not going to be eating the candy on site but buying it for later. Any general thing that might interest either of you?"
"Is there any candy that warms your insides like butterbeer or else freezes your insides?" inquired Emily.
"Ice Mice chill your insides and make your teeth chatter, " smiled Tracey, "I'll get each of you some Ice Mice. As with at the Three Broomsticks, paying is on me here."
"Tracey," said Emily, "Thank you. Thank you for being such a kind, patient, and generous host and guide. Fleur and I would have been lost without you. On top of that, you've been generous with both your knowledge and your money. I want you to know how much we appreciate that."
"Emily is EXACTLY RIGT!" beamed Fleur, "We won't forget ow you've guided us and made us feel comfortable in Ogsmeade and picked up the tab on top of zat."
"Wat is ze most sugary candy Oneydukes offers?" Fleur asked Tracey.
"Sugar Quills," replied Tracey instantly, "But be warned that you can get lightheaded from eating so much sugar at once."
"I'll pass on that," said Emily decisively.
"I'd razer somezing milder as well," admitted Fleur.
"Is there anything licorice flavored here?" inquired Emily.
"Licorice Wands," beamed Tracey, "A personal favorite of mine, Licorice Wands are literally licorice made into the shapes of wands."
"Cool," beamed Emily, "Licorice isn't popular or common in Wizarding France but it's a personal favorite flavor of mine. "
"Candy in the sape of wands would be super cool," grinned Fleur.
"It is'" grinned Emily.
"Wat is ze most exciting product ere?" Fleur asked Tracey.
"Fizzing Whizbees give a huge and exhilarating sensation when eaten," cooed Tracey.
"Let's get them then!" said Emily excitedly.
"We will, " promised Tracey.
"Finally," wondered Emily, "What is the tastiest product here."
"The chocolate slabs," beamed Tracey, "I'll be us three each, we can each eat one later tonight and the save the other two for later."
"Zat sounds good," said Fleur happily.
"I think we know what we are doing," agreed Emily.
Tracey purchased the Ice Mice, Licorice Wands, Fizzing Whizbees, and Chocolate Slabs for the three of them and paid for all of it."
They tried to go to Zonko's next, but when they got there, there was a closed sign on the door and a note below it.
The note read:
Zonko's is closed for the rest of the day due to an incident you will learn about in due time. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Fleur and Emily both looked disappointed.
"I'm sorry," Tracey told Fleur and Emily ruefully, "Zonko's is an exciting and entertaining part of Hogsmeade visits and I'm sorry for you two that you won't get to experience it."
"It's out of your control, Tracey, " said Emily fairly, "Hopefully it's just a case where someone just got mildly sick or something and it won't be a big deal."
"Let's ope it isn't a crime scene," said Fleur.
But, as those words left Fleur's mouth, Fleur, Emily, and Tracey all felt a nasty sense of foreboding.
