Later that night, as Harry, Colin, Dennis, Terry, Anthony, Hermione, Ginny, Luna, Susan, Lily, Sally, Tracey, Daphne, and Astoria were enjoying a dinner of steaks, baked potatoes, corn, and Coca Cola Classic to wash it down with, Hedwig and Mario approached their table carrying a newspaper together.

Hedwig and Mario dropped the newspaper down smack dab in the middle of the table and took off again.

The nanosecond the owls had flown away, the fourteen of them all directed their eyes towards the newspaper now sitting in the middle of their table."

It was an Evening Prophet which bore a very upsetting headline.

DMLE AN ATTEMPED MURDERER?"

"NEVER!" yelled Susan very angrily, "Aunt Amelia is steely and tough because her job requires it, but she would NEVER become a murderer."

"Amelia Bones is a genuinely good person," vouched Luna, "She really went out of her way to take care of daddy and me after our house was destroyed. Not just allowing us to live with her and Susan, but also through intense emotional support."

"I'll read it aloud," offered Harry as everyone else nodded in agreement.

While it is the responsibility of the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement to uphold the law, the woman currently occupying that position recently became a murderer, reports Daily Prophet Special Correspondent Rita Skeeter. Rita Skeeter explained to the Daily Prophet this afternoon that she believes that current Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Amelia Bones is behind the recent destruction of the home that was occupied by Xenophilius Lovegood. "It is my belief that Madam Bones intentionally blew up the house in an attempt to murder Xenophilius Lovegood. I strongly suspect that Madam Bones hates Mr. Lovegood's daughter and wishes to cause his daughter grief through loss. It should be noted that Mr. Lovegood's wife and his daughter's mom died in a tragic accident involving experimental magic about five years ago. It has come to my attention that after the Lovegoods house was destroyed that Mr. Lovegood and his daughter moved in with Madam Bones and his niece. I suspect part of her original plan was to take Luna into her home so that she could mock and taunt Mr. Lovegood's daughter about being an orphan once her dad had died. With Xenophilius's survival, it is possible that Madam Bones has also now taken Mr. Lovegood into her home to lure him into a trap and knock him off when she pleases. Perhaps in the days to come the Wizarding World can hope for a more emotionally stable person to take over as Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.

"FUCK THIS!" screamed Susan hotly the nanosecond she had seen the headline, "AUNT AMELIA WOULD NEVER EVEN THINK OF DOING SUCH A THING!"

"THIS IS BLATANT LIE!" yelled Luna lividly a nanosecond later, "THIS IS CHARACTER ASSINATION!"

"Susan, Luna," said Ginny calmly, "I understand why you two are so upset. However, you should remember that this is Rita Skeeter's writing. Remember that Rita Skeeter goes out of her way to cause trouble."

"She thrives on sensationalism," noted Daphne, "She likes to make up juicy and outrageous stories to grab people's attention."

"What's weird," piped up Lily bitterly, "Is that some of her facts are true, such as the Lovegoods house being destroyed and Xenophilius and Luna moving it with Amelia and Susan."

"That's what Rita does," explained Ginny testily, "She takes a few facts and uses them to mold stories that are completely out of the ballpark of the actual truth."

"How does this bitch continue to keep her job?" spat Hermione in a growling type of voice.

"Fudge hired her to write for the Daily Prophet when he was Minister of Magic," explained Ginny, "Hopefully, with dad as Minister of Magic now, it won't be long until he fires her. Dad has never liked Rita Skeeter, but I've had the impression that he was willing to give one chance once he'd become Minister of Magic. When he sees this article, he will know that it is blatantly false, and he will fire Rita Skeeter from the Daily Prophet."

"She deserves to be fired straightaway," snarled Colin, "This is lack of integrity at its worst."

"That's true," said Anthony uncertainty, "But, well, Rita Skeeter does have her fanbase."

"This will have crossed the line even for many of them, " suggested Astoria, "When people realize that this story is false, there will pleas for Rita to be shown the door."

"All the better if she's fired with cause and doesn't have to be paid," said Dennis bluntly.

"She's going to be gone," said Terry confidently, "She was actually pretty retarded to go this far with her sensationism. It's too obvious that her story is false. She was holding twenty when the dealer's up card was a six and yet she chose hit and busted."

"I hope you are right," agreed Harry, "There are certain lines you don't cross, and Rita has crossed one of those lines. "

"Justice for Aunt Amelia," called out Susan.

"Justice for my godmother," called out Luna.
