-Chapter One Hundred and Thirty-Four-

"Zoro!" I gasped with a whimper as the long blade of a sword was suddenly driven into the swordsman's side. Frantically looking between him and the doctor in my arms, I was torn and didn't know what to do. It hasn't even been that long since he rushed off to fight the Priest before being painfully stabbed in the side with no remorse. Part of me wanted to rush to his side and help him fight, but...another part of me felt ill at the thought of leaving an unconscious Chopper alone and unguarded in the midst of all this fighting.

"What…what was that...?" Zoro groaned, confused as he hadn't expected the man to land a hit on him so quickly and so far away.

"Typical Blue Sea dweller, you didn't expect it!" Ohm mockingly laughed. "You see, this sword of mine is also made of Iron Cloud—in other words, the blade itself is Iron Cloud expelled from a dial that's conveniently embedded in the hilt, and it will hunt its prey until the ends of the earth!" he grinned as the blade extended itself once more, shooting straight towards Zoro who was able to block it this time. "Well, do you understand it better now, Swordsman from the Blue Sea?" he asked.

"Yes, just like a whip—I get it!" Zoro grounded out with a firm nod. "You White White Sea people are more like circus performers than warriors" he grunted in an attempt to insult the man. Though it was clear that his jab didn't seem to bother the Priest all that much as the man only turned his head in my direction—not really looking at me per se as he was behind me. Curiously peering back, it was only now that I noticed the giant beanstalk that seemed to grow up from the ground below and disappear further up into the clouds.

"A beanstalk...?" I muttered, gaze softening for a split second as I was suddenly reminded of an old fairy tale about a beanstalk and a young man.

"Holy, we're going to have to fight separately" Ohm suddenly said as he hopped off of his dog. "From the sounds of things, the Upper Ruins are about to get very busy" it was at that moment that those strange goat people I had seen before suddenly shot up from the cloudy ground below and landed up here in the ruins with the rest of us.

"The Sky Knight?" one of the goat men questioned with a baffled look. "I didn't expect him to be here."

"We're here to asset you almighty Ohm!" another spoke up, making it pretty clear which side they were on.

"That giant snake?!" the first suddenly gasped the moment he spotted the overgrown reptile which started to...growl? Was it growling?

"Is it...laughing?" I blinked, tilting my head the longer I listened to that strange growling-like sound it was making as it started to quiver. "Snakes don't laugh...do they...?" I quietly asked no one but myself as I tried to recall if such animals even had the capabilities to laugh like the overgrown reptile currently was.

"It's laughing?" the goat men grew confused as their peered up in bewilderment at the laughing snake. My gaze was quickly torn from it by the sudden sound of a high-pitched scream coming from the beanstalk. It was faint at first, but slowly grew in volume as if the person screaming was drawing closer.

"Hold it!" someone shouted followed by the sounds of a goat.

"Would you goats just leave us alone?!" Nami angrily snapped as she came riding up the beanstalk on a Sky Waver and straight toward us.

"Nami?" Zoro questioned, surprised to see the navigator.

"What are you doing here? I thought you said you were going to stay on the ship?" I blinked, just as surprised to see the ginger here instead of safely back on the ship with Usopp and Sanji.

"Aisa?" the Guerrilla asked, his eyes widening as he grew panicked the second he saw the small child that was currently clinging onto the Nami's legs as if to ensure she wouldn't go flying off of the waver due to how fast it was going.

"No!" Gan Fall gasped the moment he saw the two.

"Kill them all!" one of the goat men snarled as he and the others now started to gain speed and close in on Nami and the small child. Though they didn't really get the chance to even touch the two as Zoro, Gan Fall, and the Guerrilla quickly dealt with them right then and there.

"Aisa, what are you doing here?" the Guerrilla scowled as the little girl quickly hid behind Nami.

"What the…Nami? What are you doing here?" Zoro frowned.

"And where did the kid come from?" I asked, tilting my head.

"Hey, Zoro, Skylar—what's happening?" Nami asked, not really answering either of us as she instead chose to ask her own question.

"Wyper?!" Aisa cried out as she looked toward the Guerrilla that was now aiming his cannon right at Nami.

"What is it you're plotting, Blue Sea dweller?" Wyper snarled, a dangerous look in his eyes as he hatefully glared at the ginger. Quickly looking around, I gently sat Chopper down somewhere that I felt he would be safely out of harm's way until I can return before rushing over to Nami and Aisa.

"Hey now, there's no need to go and resort to violence!" I frowned as I quickly took my place right in front of the two in a protective manner. "You really shouldn't go pointing weapons at women and children" I glared, already taking an offensive stance as I rested my hand on my swords—ready to draw them if need be.

"Aisa, get away from those two!" Wyper shouted, firing his weapon without a moment's thought.

"Shit!" Zoro cursed, just about ready to jump in and help before stopping when Gan Fall suddenly swept us all up off the ground with Pierre—saving us before I had a chance to draw either of my swords or before the man's attack could even land.

"T-that was close" Nami shakily shivered.

"Tell me about it..." I grumbled as both she and I clung onto the Sky Knight's spear while Aisa tightly held onto Nami.

"Wyper, you're a monster!" the little girl angrily cried out, tears now pricking the corners of her eyes as she glared down at the Guerrilla that had recklessly shot at us.

"Why did you two come to such a dangerous place?" Gan Fall scowled as he looked to Nami and Aisa for answers.

"I'm wondering that as well—wasn't the whole point of you staying on the ship was so you could avoid danger, Nami?" I curiously asked.

"We didn't mean to!" Nami quickly defended. "We were chased by this giant…snake…" she trailed off the minute she spotted said snake right beside us, its mouth wide open before instantly clamping shut, giving us little to no time to really escape. I shivered at the unpleasant sensation of being swallowed whole, my screams easily mingling with Nami and Aisa's who now desperately clung to either side of me as we fell.

"How about we never do that ever again?" I groaned, flicking the snake's saliva free from my arms the second we landed in the beast's stomach. Looking to Nami to see if she was alright, I watched as she seemed to do the same thing as me before looking over her waver as if to make sure it wasn't too badly damaged by the fall.

"Good sign—by the looks of it, I say she wasn't seriously injured" she smiled, relieved that the waver was still in perfect, working condition.

"Is it just me or does this snake's belly look just like a cave?" I couldn't help but note as I looked around us at the debris and rocks that were scattered about. If I hadn't been for the unpleasant journey down here, I would have mistakingly thought we had fallen right into a cave of sorts.

"Where in the world is this place?" Gan Fall groaned, slowly sitting up as he began to look around.

"We're in the belly of a giant snake—we got swallowed up, remember?" Nami questioned.

"Ah yes, of course" Gan Fall nodded. "The beast seems even larger from the inside" he remarked as the ginger made her way over toward Pierre and Aisa.

"Aisa, are you okay?" she asked, carefully moving the rocks that had fallen on top of the two out of the way.

"Here" I offered, walking over as I immediately started to help. I couldn't help the small smile that tugged at my lips when I eventually noticed that the strange bird had covered the little girl with his wing as if trying to protect her from the falling debris. "What a good boy you are..." I mumbled, gently stroking the top of his head as he weakly cawed before leaning into my touch.

"Wyper, please forgive me!" Aisa cried before quickly gathering her bearings and remembering where she was exactly. "What happened?" she timidly asked as she nervously looked around her.

"Right, for the umpteenth time, we've been eaten by a snake" Nami huffed, growing annoyed with how she had to repeat herself once again.

"Got to admit, you wouldn't think that at first glance" I said, feeling that the two were justified in their confusion as a quick glance around would make anyone think we were in a cave and not some animal's stomach.

"A snake?!" Aisa fearfully cried.

"Calm down, we'll survive" Nami quickly assured her. "If we can escape before it digests us—"

"What were you two doing out there?! You should be on the ship!" Gan Fall scolded, cutting the ginger off upon finally remembering that the two of them shouldn't have even been here to begin with.

"Yeah, and here I thought you were safely tucked away on the ship" I huffed, placing my hands on my hips as I looked at Nami. "You know how dangerous it is out here?" I asked as I waited for the ginger to explain herself.

"Tell that to the creeps that were chasing us—we had to run for our lives!" she argued.

"Isn't that little girl a Shandorian?" Gan Fall suddenly asked.

"She is?" I blinked.

"Gan Fall, it's you!" Aisa gasped upon finally noticing the old man before narrowing her eyes into a hateful glare. "I'll mash you into pieces!" she viciously snarled as she rushed the old man before quickly being lifted up off of the ground by Nami who wasted no time in snatching up the back of her dress.

"Stop! Just calm down!" Nami scolded, not in the mood to really deal with any fights breaking out. Gan Fall only stared at the young girl before quietly chuckling as she growled at him in an attempt to look and sound threatening despite how small she was.

"Sorry, squirt, you're not that intimidating" I playfully teased, causing her to angrily cross her arms and pout. Nami only shrugged in defeat as she watched how the child angrily turned away from us.

"Anyways, why don't we simply carve our way out?" Gan Fall suddenly suggested as he began to poke at the snake's insides with his spear.

"Are you insane, old man?! Suppose the snake starts going wild—you're going to get us all killed!" Nami snapped. "You know, for a knight, you're pretty dense!" she scowled, clearly displeased with the man's supposedly idiotic idea.

"But I was just…um…kidding!" Gan Fall nervously laughed, too scared to really argue with the fuming navigator who continued to glower at him.

"I don't know, I thought it sounded like a pretty good idea" I shrugged before quickly raising my hands in defense the minute she whirled around and pointed that glare right at me.

"Oh, you can be just as bad as Zoro sometimes, you know that?!" she glowered. "Do you think this is a joke?!" she snapped as if she couldn't believe the fact that neither of us was taking this as seriously as she was.

"Huh?" I mumbled, ears perking up at the sudden echoing sound of feet tapping against the snake's belly. Though quickly was the sound almost completely drowned out by Nami's ranting as she seemed to take no notice of it at all.

"Take a look around you! We're in a stomach—a snake's stomach!" she angrily motioned with her arms. "I don't know how much you know about anatomy, but it won't be long before we're bathing in stomach acid!" she sneered.

"Those sounds are..." Gan Fall muttered as he attempted to listen closely to the footsteps that were now starting to get louder as if they were coming in this direction. Pierre soon started to freak out as Aisa quickly clung to Nami who had finally fallen silent as she now started to hear the footsteps as well.

"They're footsteps..." Nami mumbled. "What else is down here?" she fearfully asked as I suddenly felt her grab hold of my arm, clearly not liking the implication that there was something else in here with us.

"Maybe it's the ghost of past victims" I suggested before snickering when the ginger suddenly struck the back of my head.

"That's not funny!" she snapped.

"Who goes there?" Gan Fall glared, readying his spear as I placed a hand on my swords.

"Nami? Skylar? Weird knight guy?" Luffy sniffed as he swiped his hand across his watery eyes the minute he came into view, revealing himself to be the owner of the mysterious footsteps.

"It's you..." Gan Fall gaped, baffled to see Luffy of all people in here with us.

"Luffy?" Nami questioned.

"Luffy? What are you doing here?" I frowned, questioningly tilting my head.

"I was starting to think I was the only one here—isn't this the strangest cave?" Luffy asked, still a sniffling mess as he quickly began to wipe away the rest of his tears.
