-Chapter Two Hundred and One-

"Awesome! You can tell what that thing is saying?" the man with the straw hat sparkled, amazed by the reindeer's supposed talent to understand the seahorse.

"This is weird...just where the hell am I...?" I nervously mumbled.

"Wait! It's a talking raccoon dog!" the long-nosed man cried out in shock.

"I'm a raccoon dog?" the reindeer quietly questioned.

"You...you don't even know what species you are?" I sweat dropped before I felt my gaze soften as the reindeer curiously peered up at me with wide curious eyes as if I could answer his question. "You're a reindeer..."I muttered, hastily averting my gaze as I blushed at how...cute...the animal was.

"A raccoon dog and a dragon and some random drowning dude? What's going on here?" a blond asked.

"Somehow, just looking at that thing is really pissing me off" the moss-haired man frowned as my blush darkened...he had a rather nice voice for someone so intimidating. "Where am I?" he asked.

"Whoa! Dragon—must ride!" the man with the straw hat excitedly shouted as I crept further and further away from the group. I backed away from them, no longer wishing to hang around here any more than I already had...I didn't know any of these people—I didn't know if they were good or bad...I didn't know if they would hurt me or not and that's what stressed me out the most.

"Are you crazy?" the long-nosed man frowned. "Besides, there's no way you can get up there!"

"You won't know unless I try" the man with the straw hat huffed.

"That's not how the saying goes..." I sweat dropped. "Hey, be careful" I worriedly frowned as I came to a halt, watching how the young man carelessly started to back up without looking before finally, he tripped over his own two feet and fell off the nearby cliff. "Wha..." my eyes widened in shock as I witnessed how his leg now stretched passed its normal capacity as he fell—his body instantly shooting back up into the air as it now rocketed toward the seahorse.

"What kind of freak is he?" the long-nosed man gawked.

"What's going on? My arms and legs can stretch!" the rubber man gaped, just as shocked as the rest of us as he hastily wrapped his arms around the seahorse before he could fall back to the ground. "This is fun!" he laughed, his shock quickly wearing off as he instantly became distracted by the fact that he was now up on top of the giant seahorse.

"Wow! He actually made it up there!" the long-nosed man exclaimed. "What's his body made of?" he asked.

"Uh...rubber...?" it was the only thing I could think of that could stretch like that.

"How?" he asked.

"I don't know—his mother was probably into some freaky shit" I shrugged, causing the long-nosed man to choke.

"He's a monster!" a woman with ginger hair cried out in shock as blue smoke started to pour out of the seahorse.

"Whoa! What's going on?" the man with the straw hat curiously asked as the seahorse started to aggressively buck around, causing him to squeeze it which in return made it release more blue smoke. "Stop bucking around!" he frowned, annoyed with the animal's unruly behavior.

"Looks like that Millennium Dragon is in some sort of pain" the long-nosed man remarked.

"Oh, that poor thing" I worriedly frowned.

"Let go! I'm losing the memories!" the reindeer translated for the enraged seahorse.

"Memories?" the moss-haired man questioned as the blue smoke leaking from the seahorse swirled around the rubber man.

"Won't stop, will you? Quit stealing our memories, you bastard!" he suddenly and angrily snapped. "What's he saying, Chopper?" he asked the reindeer.

"Chopper? You mean me?" the talking animal blinked, questioningly tilting his head.

"Yeah, who else would I mean?" he nodded.

"I'm finally a Millennium Dragon—don't try and stop me!" Chopper translated.

"Millennium Dragon?" I muttered, brows furrowing in confusion.

"What did you say?" the rubber man frowned as he removed his arms from around the seahorse. "People's memories aren't yours to take, if you need some for this transformation...then go out and make some memories of your own! Got it?!" he sneered.

"Silence! I've had enough of you—I'm going to end this!" the seahorse snapped as his eyes began to glow a bright yellow.

"Gum Gum Pistol!" I winced as the rubber man harshly punched the animal in the face. "You want to fly so badly? I'll send you flying!" he growled as he released the seahorse completely before smashing his foot against his inflated bell, causing a huge cloud of blue smoke to burst out of his mouth as he shrunk back to a normal size.

"Ah!" I harshly gasped at the sudden flood of memories—few pleasant and many painful. Instantly, I felt a choked sob leave my trembling lips as pitiful tears welled up in my eyes. My head throbbed in agony as I shakily sucked in a deep breath or two as if to calm myself, desperately trying to choke back the desire to scream and pull out my own hair as my chest began to grow tight with panic.

"Come on, you'll catch cold" Sanji said, his voice instantly snapping me back to reality and grounding me here in the present as I watched him offer his hand to Zoro who was still in the water.

"I kicked that dragon's ass!" Luffy cheered as we made our way back to the village.

"You sure did" I chuckled, softly smiling as I leaned my head against Zoro's chest. Despite my protest, he was insistent on carrying me...worried about how pale I looked and the way my body subconsciously trembled as if it could barely keep itself upright.

"If I remember correctly, aren't Millennium Dragons hatched?" Zoro suddenly asked. "I mean, don't they come from eggs? You can't just become one" he clarified.

"Yeah, eating memories won't do anything to change that" Sanji nodded.

"Oh, is that right?" Chopper questioned.

"You two sure sound like you know a lot about these Millennium Dragons" I raised an eyebrow.

"Sure" Usopp nodded. "You two probably didn't know about it, but before we came to the Grand Line, we saw some with our very own eyes" he grinned as I owlishly blinked before shaking my head, theorizing that this must have happened before they came to my island—Fair Haven was technically considered the last island you could possibly see before reaching Reverse Mountain. It was the last island a person could possibly stop at to restock if need be before they officially made their way into the Grand Line...granted, that is if they knew it was there and that it was inhabited.

"Wow!" Chopper awed.

"But, in the end, once you think about it...all he wanted was to become a dragon..." I sighed. "That was his dream...and to go as far as to steal other people's memories was something he thought would help fulfill that dream..." I hummed as I tilted my head back and looked up at the sky in thought. "It's one of those strange cases where it was doing something awful to fulfill its fantasy."

"Never mind that" Usopp dismissively waved, causing my eye to twitch in slight annoyance. "I bet the villagers are clamoring to see us, after all, we're the ones that got all of their memories back and saved the day! They're going to treat us like heroes!" he boasted.

"Damn straight, and heroes need booze" Zoro grinned.

"Like you don't already get enough of that" I snorted as I lightly smacked his chest.

"Already trying to forget something, are we?" Sanji teasingly asked.

"Shut up!" Zoro embarrassingly snapped.

"Well, hero, you still owe me for this" I huffed as I tilted my head and showed off the hickey he had given me earlier. Grinning, he leaned down and connected our lips for a split second before resting his forehead against mine.

"I could always give you another one..." he muttered before his grin grew sly. "Or maybe you want to give me one instead..." he teased.

"Down, boy! Down!" I blushed as I shoved his head away, causing him to laugh. "What do you think I am? A piece of meat?!"

"Hm" he suddenly hummed in thought.

"Don't consider it!" I snapped, unable to hold back my own laughter now as he chuckled.

"This hero is hoping for a big cash reward" Nami excitedly grinned, sparkling at the thought of money.

"A big bronze statue, that'd be nice" Luffy grinned.

"What's with you and bronze statues?" I questioned before raising an eyebrow when I caught sight of the expression Sanji was making. "What the hell are you thinking about?" I asked, not one hundred percent sure I actually wanted to know what was going through the blonde's mind.

"Hey, Robin, what would you ask for?" Chopper inquired, curious to know what the older woman would ask for as a reward. "A book maybe? Seems right up your alley" he guessed.

"Indeed, it is—maybe a book about this island's history" Robin nodded.

"Sounds nice" I hummed.

"I knew it, I want a book too—a medical book this thick!" Chopper smiled.

"That sounds nice too" I softly chuckled.

"Look! You can see the shoreline" Nami pointed the second we started to near the village.

"Greetings, island villagers! Well, here we are!" Usopp grinned as we entered the village before quickly shrinking back as spears and guns were suddenly pointed right at us. "Whoa! Hold on—what are you doing?!" he fearfully cried, confused by the villager's hostility.

"Them! They did it!" the young boy from before cried.

"Everyone, attack!" a villager commanded, causing the rest to charge us.

"What the heck is going on?!" Chopper shouted as we ran away.

"Usopp, I thought we were supposed to be heroes?!" Nami frowned.

"We were! I'm just as confused as you are!" the sharpshooter cried.

"For people who just got their memories back, they sure don't seem happy" I said, clinging to Zoro as I was jostled around in his arms.

"Hey, Nami! Quick—where's the waver?" Sanji asked. "We can't leave it behind!"

"It's over this way, I'll get it!" Nami nodded as she broke off from us to go and retrieve the waver.

"Hold it! Stop right there, you filthy pirates!" a villager sneered.

"Memory thieves!" another cried out.

"Hey, you girl, get back here and pay for your room!" another snapped.
