-Chapter Two Hundred and Twenty-Two-

"Paulie, stop it!" Iceburg begged.

"Pipe Hitch Knives!" Paulie threw a rope with knives attached to it at Lucci, only for it to miss as the man dodged it with ease.

"Finger Pistol" in the blink of an eye did Lucci move closer towards the blond as he painfully jabbed his finger into his stomach. "You still haven't learned your lesson, have you?" he asked.

"Hey, are you okay?!" Luffy worriedly asked.

"Screw you, Lucci!" Paulie sneered as he stumbled back before finally dropping to his knees.

"It's pointless to resist, our abilities far exceed those of a normal human, as you can see" Lucci said. "After many years of training, we've mastered an art called the Six Powers—these techniques transform the body into a living weapon with the strength of over a hundred men" he explained.

"After all this time, why?" Paulie groaned before wincing when the raven-haired man grabbed hold of his shoulder.

"Sorry, Paulie, our friendship is over" Lucci told him as he prepared for another strike. "I have to eliminate you" he coldly admitted with no remorse.

"Lucci, no! Don't!" Iceburg cried out.

"You jerk, leave him alone!" Luffy growled as he kicked his foot out towards Lucci who simply caught the stretched-out limb before it could hit him. Frowning, Luffy drew his fist as he jumped towards the man just as he let go of his foot. "Gum Gum—"

"Iron Body."

"Gantlet!" Luffy started to punch Lucci multiple times, but with each hit did the man barely react as if he wasn't being struck at all. "What the—that didn't work at all!" the captain frowned as he finished his attack and saw just how little damage it had done to the other man.

"You're nothing but a pest" Lucci glared as he suddenly disappeared from sight.

"He's gone!" Luffy gasped.

"No" I shook my head, watching as the man suddenly reappeared and disappeared in different areas of the room. "He's just moving really fast" I corrected just as he dived in for an attack towards Luffy's neck.

"Finger Pistol" Lucci jabbed his finger into the rubber man's throat and even though it didn't pierce through his flesh, it still sent him flying back until he smashed right into the wall. Luffy grabbed for his neck, rubbing at it as he harshly coughed before sitting back up. "If you weren't made of rubber, you'd be dead with a hole in your neck, lucky you" the raven-haired man said just as Luffy stretched his arm out and snatched up Paulie—pulling the blond towards him and away from the enemy. "You're protecting him, but why?" he curiously asked.

"Why not? Because I don't want you to kill him!" Luffy huffed. "You guys were all friends just the other day, how could you do this?!" he frowned.

"We were, now things have changed" Lucci answered.

"It doesn't matter, you can say what you want!" Luffy frowned. "You're a bunch of traitors—the point is you're my enemy now, I made a promise with Paulie to beat the crap out of anybody that tries to hurt Icepop's!" he proclaimed.

"I see, you decided to trust him over us, huh?" Kaku questioned.

"That's right because you guys took away one of my friends!" Luffy firmly nodded. "Hey, Robin, what gives? Why are you acting like this?" he asked. "If you want to leave the crew, at least tell me why!" he demanded.

"Yeah, and why would you want to team up with people from the World Government?" Nami asked. "That's crazy!" she frowned.

"Do I have to repeat myself?" Robin asked. "I believe I said my farewells to the Cook and Doctor before I left—didn't you pass that along, Chopper?" she asked.

"Of course, I did!" Chopper nodded. "But just because I heard it doesn't mean I accept it, how could you do this?!" he cried.

"I did it to make my wish come true—a wish that can't happen as long as we're together, and if you can't accept that, I'm sorry" Robin apologized. "You may not find it fair, but to accomplish my goal, I'll make any sacrifices" she admitted.

"Even if that means working with the enemy?" I narrowed my eyes.

"I see, and that includes framing your own crewmates for attempted murder" Zoro nodded. "So what is this wish of yours?" he glared.

"I don't have to answer that question" Robin told him, quick to avoid answering his question.

"Are you out of your mind?!" Iceburg weakly snapped. "Wake up, Robin, you have no right to do this! I don't care what it is you're trying to accomplish—the consequences are far too great!" he scowled.

"I've heard enough, this is no longer your choice to make!" Robin frowned. "This should shut you up..." she bitterly muttered as she used her Devil Fruit powers to knock the man out.

"No, Iceburg!" Paulie gasped.

"I won't let anyone get in my way" Robin firmly stated.

"Nothing you're saying is making any sense—you expect me to believe this?!" Luffy frowned.

"Robin, what happened to you?!" Chopper whimpered as I felt my body start to shake. "You're our friend, right? Please, Robin, come back!" he pleaded.

"Sorry to break up the reunion, but I have to stop you there" Lucci said as he stepped in front of Robin as if to block her from our view or at least silently warn us not to get any closer towards her. "You see, we have a date this evening with a very important individual, one that's been over four years in the making—we're finished here" he told us. "In other words, that means we're finished with you as well. Kalifa, how much time is left?" he asked.

"Two minutes" Kalifa answered as she produced a pocket watch from her pocket.

"Here's the deal, I know this is sudden, but in two minutes this building will go up in a ball of flames" Lucci revealed which caused a collective of gasps to release from everyone in the room.

"You're kidding!" Luffy gaped.

"Of course not" Lucci said. "Fire is an effective tool for erasing all sorts of evidence—if you don't want to be burned alive, I suggest you leave the building as soon as possible" he suggested. "Well, I say that, but I have no intention of letting you go" he said.

"Looks like it's going to be us against them" Zoro said as both he and I grab for our swords. "And our friend Robin has clearly picked her side—Luffy, Robin is not one of us anymore, do you accept that now?" he asked.

"No! No way!" Luffy stubbornly shook his head.

"So noisy, anyways, the first floor is about to set fire and it won't be pretty" Lucci said. "But, to be fair, the culprits are just pirates—you can't expect them to be subtle" he sighed.

"You bastards!" Paulie growled.

"That's nice of you to give us credit for your attempted arson, but I think I'll pass" Nami said.

"What's one more crime?" Blueno scoffed. "When we're going to execute you anyways" he said.

"Well, I suppose I'll take my leave now" Robin said as she pulled her hood up and turned away from us.

"You've done exactly what you were told, good work" Lucci somewhat praised the woman—his voice was to the point of being emotionless that I could only assume it was praise.

"Robin, don't go! You're still one of us!" Luffy shouted.

"This is farewell" was all she said back to us.

"Robin!" Nami, Chopper, and I cried out.

"Stop her, Straw Hat!" Iceburg weakly groaned as he started to gain consciousness.

"We finally found you, we won't let you run away again!" Luffy frowned as he scrambled up to his feet and raced towards the retreating woman. "Out of my way!" he growled when Blueno suddenly blocked his path.

"Iron Body" Blueno said just as Luffy kicked him.

"How come nothing I do to these guys fazes them?" the captain scowled when he saw how little his attack did to the man.

"In addition to our offensive techniques, our training has also given us the ability to make our bodies as solid as an iron wall" Blueno explained which caught my attention. "Of course, your punches are weak to begin with" he shrugged as he threw out that jab.

"Bodies as solid as an iron wall...why does that sound familiar?" I muttered, furrowing my brows in thought as for a second I was reminded of someone—someone I hadn't seen in years. Quickly did I shake my head at such thoughts, they weren't important at the moment.

"Okay, whatever—I said out of my way!" Luffy sneered as he brushed off what the man had said and continued to attack him over and over only for the man to dodge each attack with the same speed Lucci had earlier.

"Even though he's big, he sure moves fast!" Chopper gaped.

"He's moving like his body is made of paper!" Nami gasped.

"Oh no, Robin!" Luffy shouted as he stopped his attacks when he noticed just how close the woman was to leaving. "Move it! Gum Gum Pistol!" he started his attacks back up—stretching his arm all the way back and just as he shot it forward, Blueno disappeared. "He disappeared!" he gasped.

"My legs are so strong that I can move faster than your eyes can see" Blueno explained as he appeared behind the rubber man.

"Stand still!" Luffy growled as he turned around, ready to punch the man.

"Moon Walk" Blueno started to jump in the air. "In fact, I can even leap off of the air itself" he seemed to almost proudly boast.

"He's flying!" Chopper gaped.

"I think now they're just trying to show off" I sweat dropped before my head snapped in the direction of the other two agents as they approached Luffy.

"Tempest Kick!" Kalifa and Kaku both kicked out their legs with little to no warning.

"Get down! Hurry!" Zoro ordered as he locked eyes with me and for a second, I was confused by his command.

"Alright" I nodded, trusting him as Nami, Chopper, and I all dropped to the floor.

"Why?" Nami asked before her and the reindeer burst out screaming as a huge gust of wind suddenly came rushing by—knocking Luffy right past us and creating a huge slash in the wall as if it had just been cut.

"Luffy!" Chopper worriedly cried out as I looked at the damaged wall.

"They did all that with just a single kick!" I exclaimed in disbelief.

"No way!" Nami gaped.

"Technically it was the sharp gust of wind that followed it" Kalifa clarified. "We call it Tempest Kick" she explained as Zoro rushed forward—his sword raised high and just as he swung it downwards, it suddenly clashed with another sword.

"We met on your ship, didn't we, Roronoa?" Kaku asked before casting a glance towards me. "That's right, you and the swordswoman over there were both on the ship" he recalled as he drew another sword along with Zoro as they both pushed back against one another with all of their strength.
