-Chapter Two Hundred and Thirty-One-

"He sure is giving a scolding to that frog" I whistled as I continued to listen to the way our captain ranted and raved as he chewed the frog out for what he had done.

"Dumb frog, I'm going to eat you!" Luffy snapped as the sounds of the two now fighting floated in through the open windows.

"I don't know what's going on out there right now, but it can't be good" Paulie grumbled. "Hey, are you guys alright?" he asked.

"I guess so" Mozu responded.

"Help, my back" Lulu groaned as he was currently squished between the wall and Tilestone.

"I think Chopper has it worse" I sweat dropped when I saw that the reindeer was trapped right under the two men.

"Oh no! Our King Bulls are gone—they disappeared!" Zambai shouted the minute he peered out one of the windows.

"No way! But, how?!" Kiwi and Mozu gasped.

"So, we're the ones who disappeared" Paulie said. "Our train probably got derailed back there" he assumed as we all now chose to ignore the two that were currently fighting outside.

"Whoa! That's even worse!" Kiwi and Mozu exclaimed.

"What?! But, how?!" Chopper cried out.

"Must have happened during that collision earlier" I answered.

"Well, there's not much we can do since we're completely off course" Paulie sighed.

"We're going to die!" Kiwi and Mozu wailed which in return caused Chopper to start panicking.

"At a time like this!" Paulie snapped when he noticed that Zoro had once again fallen asleep.

"Of course, that's exactly the reasonable response to this situation" I sweat dropped.

"This guy's one in a million!" everyone exclaimed.

"Hey!" Zambai called out to Kokoro as he continued to look out the window.

"Yeah?" the old woman responded.

"Are we going to be okay or what?" Zambai asked. "If we can't make it to Enies Lobby, I'm going to be really pissed off!" he frowned.

"Shut your trap and give me a second, trying to work" Kokoro huffed as I hummed and listened to the shouting outside—such a loud ruckus, I wonder what's going on out there.

"What are you guys looking at?" Zoro yawned as he suddenly woke up.

"What woke you up this time?" I asked as he stretched out his limbs.

"That ugly old lady is talking to a giant frog!" Zambai gaped, his body still hanging out the window as he watched whatever it was that was currently happening outside.

"Oh, I get it! Granny was a frog all along!" Chopper brightly smiled as he came to this realization, looking as if he had no intentions in sounding rude or mean towards the older woman outside.

"Aw, that's a cute suggestion" I couldn't help but coo as I patted the top of his head—knowing that he was innocent and had no ill intentions with his words.

"She never did quite pass as a human, now did she" Lulu hummed.

"You realize that you guys are going to get hit for that later, don't you?" Mozu questioned.

"No kidding" Kiwi mumbled.

-Later-

There was a knot in my stomach that just continued to tighten the longer I thought about how close we were getting to Enies Lobby. It wasn't a comforting thought being so close to such a large government building, in fact, it was a thought that brought back a sort of fear that only my dreams and memories have been able to bring to me whenever I'd find myself alone with my thoughts.

"Well, now that we've found the others, it's time for our date with the World Government" I flinched upon hearing Nami's voice break through the air—her words silencing all surrounding conversations that were being exchanged between one another from the other members of the train.

"Hell ya, it is!" Kokoro laughed.

"Okay, this is it, now approaching Enies Lobby!" Zambai informed us. "All hands get ready for a showdown!" he huffed as Tilestone gave a battle cry. Somewhere along the way, we had picked up both Sanji and Usopp—I mean Sniper King—as night now slowly turned to day. I was amused by the sparkles that surrounded Luffy and Chopper as they stared at the mask-wearing pirate in childlike wonder.

"Sniper King from Sniper Island?!" the two giddily asked. "For real?!" they awed.

"That's right!" Snipper King nodded, deepening his voice as if it would help disguise his identity. "I'm a close friend of Usopp's, I'm here because he asked me to aid you on this perilous journey!" he proclaimed.

"He's a superhero!" Luffy gasped. "I knew it! I could totally tell from the mask and cape! Amazing, I've never seen one before!" he grinned.

"He's like a kid in a candy store" I giggled as I listened to the captain's childish excitement.

"So, wearing a mask and cape means you get superpowers?" Chopper innocently asked.

"Of course! Everybody in a mask and cape is a superhero!" Luffy widely smiled.

"Really?" Chopper questioned.

"Isn't that Usopp?" Zoro asked.

"Shh, let them have their fun" I shushed the swordsman.

"I'm glad that you're safe, Usopp" Nami sighed in relief.

"That's the long-nosed guy that busted into the Franky House" Zambai said.

"That's the guy that got taken away with Bro" Kiwi pointed out.

"Totally, no question" Mozu nodded.

"It's nice to meet you!" Luffy smiled as he held his hand out to the long-nosed pirate.

"Likewise" Sniper King mumbled as he shook hands with the rubber man.

"That's one of the guys we met at the train station" Chimney said.

"Can we have your autograph?" Chopper asked.

"Sure!" Sniper King nodded.

"That makes me wonder, where did Usopp go?" Luffy curiously asked.

"He's safe, there's no need to worry about him" Sniper King nervously responded. "Anyways, he told me the most important thing right now is saving your friend, Robin—then he left" he explained as he dismissively waved his hand as if trying to get the two to stop speaking about the former sharpshooter of our crew.

"Yep! He's absolutely right!" Luffy agreed.

"So...uh...where exactly is this Sniper Island?" Chopper asked, still sparkling with wonderment as he looked up at the masked man.

"I'll tell you—oh, the wind carries my name" Sniper King softy sang. "It's in your heart" he told them before picking back up in his singing.

"You can basically see the sparkles around them, it's almost blinding" I grinned as I squinted my eyes at how brightly the two were shining.

"Seriously, where?" Nami grumbled as the two pirates soon joined in on singing with the sniper.

"Hey, Nami" Sanji said.

"Yeah, what is it?" Nami asked.

"Just a second, the rest of you idiots should hear this too" Sanji said which caused the three that were singing to zip their lips shut. "Before we go to rescue Robin, there's something you need to know" and like that, he revealed to us what he had discovered. "So, there you have it, those CP9 guys are controlling Robin by using her childhood fears against her—I'm not making excuses for not being able to save her, I just wanted to make it clear that even if we march in to get her back, it doesn't necessarily mean she'll be willing to return to us" he finished.

"None of that matters! I won't stand for this!" Luffy suddenly shouted which caused Chopper to give a startled shout. "Damn Robin!" he angrily cursed.

"It's not her fault!" Nami and I snapped as we hit the rubber man's head.

"Of course, it is, Nami! Skylar! Why doesn't she want us to rescue her?!" Luffy frowned. "It doesn't make sense!" he huffed.

"Because she doesn't want to feel responsible for all the awful things that happened to our crew!" we both snapped.

"I don't care about all that!" Luffy argued. "If we don't rescue her, she's going to be killed, isn't she?! There's no way she wants to die, so we're going to save her!" he declared.

"Well, of course she doesn't want to die, but still—"

"Let it go" Zoro interrupted the ginger haired woman before she could say any more. "This doesn't change what we have to do, we'll save her either way" he said.

"I'm going to beat up every last one of them!" Luffy stated. "There's a new move I want to try" he admitted which caused me to softly smile as I shook my head.

"Hey, guys, take a look at this" Paulie suddenly said, motioning for us all to gather around him as he laid a piece of paper out on the floor. "I've come to this island once before to do some maintenance on the railway, I drew this from what I could remember" he told us. "It's a rough sketch of the overall layout of Enies Lobby—the Gates of Justice are located at the back of the island, the only way to get to them is through the Tower of Law."

"What's that big black thing?" Luffy curiously asked as he peered down at the rough layout that the blond had drawn.

"I'm guessing that's what you used to represent the waterfall" I said before the shipwright had the chance to answer—I've seen this layout many times before during my studies.

"Huh?" Luffy questioned.

"Yeah, once we're inside, you'll see" Paulie nodded. "But, how did you know that?" he frowned as he curiously looked my way and I guess I didn't blame him seeing how unless you've personally been to Enies Lobby or had some connections with the government then you wouldn't naturally be aware of the giant waterfall there. For all he knew, I was nothing more than a pirate, someone that shouldn't know anything about the building we were heading towards.

"Doesn't matter, continue with what you need to say" I said as I waved a dismissive hand, paying little attention to the way he silently stared at me before slowly nodding his head as he looked back down at the piece of paper.

"If we don't rescue Franky and Nico Robin before they pass through the main gates and to the Gates of Justice, then that's it, it's over" Paulie said.

"And why's that?" Luffy asked. "It doesn't matter where they take her to, we'll just keep on fighting them until we get Robin back!" he huffed.

"That won't work" I said with the shake of my head which caused the rubber man to frown.

"We've explained this before we left Water Seven, remember?" Nami frowned as she stopped the captain before he could argue. "Once we pass that gate, the only two places we can go are Navy Headquarters or the deep-sea prison—no matter what happens, we have to settle this before they reach those rear gates" she explained.

"Yeah, pretty much" Paulie nodded. "On top of that, even if we all rush the island at the same time, the only ones capable of going up against those CP9 guys are you Straw Hats. After seeing what you can do, I know how strong you are" he said, looking straight at Luffy. "That's why I think you should stay behind once we get there, give us five minutes then charge through the main island in Rocket Man" he instructed.

"The Franky Family and Galley-La will go in first and break open the main gate and the main island front gate, so you can pass through" Zambai explained. "I'm sure we'll suffer a lot of causalities—but remember, once you're in, keep going no matter what. Don't look back" he said. "We only got a little over sixty people, the enemy forces probably have somewhere between two and three thousand. Our best chance of victory is for you Straw Hats to concentrate on CP9 and leave the rest of the Marines to us."

"Right, got it!" Luffy nodded.

"Alright, folks, we're pulling up to the front of the island" Kokoro informed us. "While we're here, take a look at the sky behind Enies Lobby—behold, the Gates of Justice!"
