-Chapter Two Hundred and Thirty-Six-
"Shut up!" the two heads snapped.
"Just give me a status report, dammit!" Spandam snapped. "Is it true that the intruders have made it to the courthouse plaza or not?" he asked, and I couldn't stop the small smile that graced my lips when I heard just how frantic he sounded at the idea that we had already made it this far. With a silent chuckle, I threw back the Marine that I had been fighting with and quickly turned my attention towards another one that came rushing towards me.
"Let's see" Left Baskerville hummed.
"A status report, huh?" Central Highway questioned while the others and I continued to take down more and more Marines.
"That's a tricky one..." Right Baskerville admitted.
"They're not so much in the plaza as they are inside the courthouse" Left Baskerville informed the man on the other end of the Transponder Snail.
"It's just awful!" all three heads huffed.
"What?!" Spandam screamed.
"Chief—Chief Justice, I have a report! The pirates have cut through our defenses and broken down the front door! They're currently inside the courthouse!" one of the Marines reported.
"We can see that, fool!" the three heads snapped.
"Not much resistance as I expected" Zoro noted. "We should be able to tear right through" he said.
"You think so?" I asked with the tilt of my head.
"Yeah—wait, what's that?" Zoro asked, just now taking notice of the three-headed man.
"Are you telling me that you're just now noticing them? They're kind of not that hard to spot" I sweat dropped.
"Whoa, what?! He's got three heads!" a member from the Franky Family gasped as the Chief Justice started to pound his gavel against his desktop.
"He's just like that dog that guards the underworld!"
"Revberus!"
"You mean Cerberus!" Zambai and I snapped.
"Order in the court, dammit!" Central Freeway snapped. "This is a sacred chamber of law, you hooligans! You have the nerve to bust in here, so shut up, sit still, and receive your sentence!" he huffed as Yokozuna continued to knock back any Marines that attempted to enter the courthouse.
"Alright, guys, you head to the roof and join up with Straw Hat! We'll stay here at the door with Yokozuna and hold off the Marines!" Zambai instructed. "We'll watch your backs, so keep moving and don't worry about the small fries!" he grinned.
"You got it!" Zoro nodded.
"Hey, looks like they're starting some kind of trial over there!" Nami pointed out.
"Doesn't surprise me, this is a courthouse after all" I said.
"Who cares?" Zoro scoffed. "Just ignore them, which way do we go?" he asked.
"Straight ahead, there are stairs on both sides" Nami answered. "Let's make our way to the top!" he huffed.
"Hey, they ignored the trail! I know they're pirates, but seriously, how rude can these guys get?!" a Marine frowned.
"Bastards! How dare you mock the Judicial Island!" another growled. "I'll teach you respect!" and with that, he aimed his gun right towards us before being taken aback when Zoro suddenly turned around and faced him. "Are his swords bending or am I seeing things?" he nervously asked.
"Charming Demon: Sleepless Night! Oni Giri!" and just like that, Zoro took down a large majority of the Marines with only one single attack.
"Is he the guy who broke the door?" Right Baskerville asked.
"Well, there's that" Zoro said as he sheathed his swords. "Now, let's get moving" he said as he motioned for us all to follow, not wasting any time in taking the lead.
"Right!" Nami nodded.
"Right behind you" I said as she and I followed.
"He puts all of us to shame and he's not even the captain of their crew" a member of the Franky Family mumbled.
"Hey! Hey! Hey, wait!" Sanji snapped as he came running towards us. "Out of the way, reindeer! Out of the way, moss head—I'm coming through!" he growled as he pushed his way past everyone.
"I forgot about him" Zambai admitted.
"Somebody's got to protect Nami and Skylar from all these bad guys, and that somebody's going to be me, dammit!" Sanji proclaimed which caused a growl to escape from the back of Zoro's throat. "Now, watch it!" he snapped as he kicked the two out of his way.
"What?! Why is he picking a fight now?!" Zambai frowned.
"If you want to settle this, then bring it!" Zoro snapped.
"Shut up! This is your fault, trying to hog Nami and Skylar all to yourself!" Sanji growled which caused my cheeks to heat up as Nami lowly snickered.
"I'm his woman, of course he's going to do that..." I embarrassingly mumbled as the ginger haired woman's amusement slowly disappeared and was replaced with irritation the longer she listened to the two men argue.
"Follow me, Nami! Skylar! Forget about him!" Sanji cooed as he lovingly stared back at Nami and me.
"Uh...hey, we came to this place to rescue Robin, remember?" Nami asked.
"Yeah, shouldn't you be more concern about her than the two of us?" I questioned.
"Oh! I bet she's waiting for me!" Sanji suddenly swooned at the thought of the raven-haired woman waiting for him to come and save her. "She's waiting for her prince to save her! She's probably crying right now because she misses me so much!" and with that, he ran on ahead—leaving us all behind without a second thought.
"Whatever" Nami grumbled.
"Yep, I'm sure she's just so eager for him to come and save her" I sweat dropped.
"Ah, come on! Are you kidding me?!" Chopper suddenly shouted in irritation.
"Chopper, what's wrong?" I curiously asked, before growing irritated the moment I spotted that Zoro was going the wrong way. "Oh, I see" my eye twitched.
"Come back, Zoro! That's the wrong way!" Chopper called out to the swordsman.
"You sure?" Zoro asked.
"How could you screw this up when the stairs are right in front of your face?!" Nami snapped. "What's wrong with you?!" she frowned.
"Many, many things" I told her.
"Hey! If you stop giving crappy directions, this wouldn't happen!" Zoro argued.
"You are not blaming this on me!" Nami snapped.
"Just accept it, your sense of direction is shit!" I snapped.
"Zoro, I'll try to make you some medicine later to fix your brain problem!" Chopper assured the swordsman which caused me to snort.
"Brain problem?!" Zoro growled.
"Hey, Chopper, make some for him too while you're at it" Nami grumbled as she pointed towards the shouting blond that was getting further and further away from us all.
"I'll try, but he may be beyond help" Chopper told her.
"If you ask me, I don't think any kind of medicine in this world can help either of those two" I sighed.
"I'm starting to have doubts about this whole rescue thing" one of the Franky Family members mumbled.
"They'll pull it together when the going gets tough, I'm sure" Zambai said, sounding semi-confident. "I mean, probably…I mean, hopefully" he muttered.
"These are some serious criminals!" Left Baskerville frowned.
"Yes, they're quite serious indeed!" Right Baskerville agreed.
"But, we should show restraint and sentence them to death" Central Freeway told the other two.
"Agreed" they both nodded.
"Are you still with us, Zoro?" Chopper asked as he and I looked back to make sure that the swordsman was still following behind us and hadn't wandered off. "It's this way" he reminded the swordsman.
"Yeah, I know!" Zoro snapped.
"No need to get snippy! It's not our fault you can't be trusted to run on your own!" I scolded before slowly blinking as the light that was once shining down on us was suddenly blocked out. "Huh? Why did it get dark all of a sudden?" I curiously asked.
"Think you can ignore the Chief Justice, huh?!" Central Freeway growled as the three-headed man rushed towards us, a sword held high above his head. Chopper and I were quick to dodge the attack and allowed the weapon to only strike the floor in front of us.
"Chopper, Nami, Skylar! Go on ahead!" Zoro shouted. "I'll make quick work of this thing and catch up with you in a second!"
"Oh? I'm a thing now, am I?!" Central Freeway sneered. "And easy to defeat no less! I'll teach you the meaning of fear, you little—" he cut himself off when he found that he couldn't really move his body that was now tightly wrapped in rope.
"Pull!" Zambai ordered.
"No, stop it!" Central Freeway shouted as the three-headed man was dragged down—struggling against his restraints before groaning as his body smashed into the ground.
"You got to go through us first, Cerberus!" Zambai huffed.
"Are you sure about this?" Nami asked.
"Curse you!" Central Freeway angrily screamed.
"Let's go!" Zoro motioned as he rushed on ahead of us.
"Uh...right" Nami hesitantly nodded as we all followed, leaving the Franky Family behind to deal with the three-headed man.
"After them! Bring those pirates down!" a Marine ordered, him and a bunch of others now blocking our path as Chopper started to knock them all out of our way.
"Hey! If you have to throw them, at least don't throw them at me!" Nami snapped as I looked around us.
"Eh? Where's my Chia Pet?" I asked, finally noticing Zoro's absence as Nami seemed to just groan in frustration the moment she heard my question.
"Not again, not at a time like this" she grumbled as we all found ourselves back to back with one another—surrounded by Marines on all sides. It took some work, but eventually, we took them all down. Though, before we had the chance to even continue moving forward, a burly looking man suddenly blocked our path. Swinging a large flail around and over his head.
"It's another one of those guys from before!" I noted.
"Ugh! Just what we need, more weirdos!" Nami groaned.
"Guilty! Guilty!" the man snarled as he swung his weapon around.
"Let's get him, Chopper! Skylar!" Nami exclaimed. "Wait! I mean—go get him, Chopper! Skylar!" she ordered.
"What?!" Chopper shouted. "Me and Skylar alone?!"
"You're helping too, Nami!" I snapped. "Whoa! What's happening?" I flinched at the way the grounded beneath us started to violently shake, arms held out in an attempt to keep my balance.
"Huh? What?" Nami asked as our attention was quickly directed towards the floor underneath the man before us, all of us watching in slight awe how it started to crack and bulge before finally, it was burst upwards by a huge gush of wind.
