Once arriving in the heart of Japan, Ciana was thrown straight into the center of all things quirks and heroes. Advertisements, agencies, heroes and their side-kicks on patrol, not to mention the many people that potentially had a power of their own or those with external quirks. Since she was out of her depth, surrounded by what made this world different than her own, Ciana let Yuuki lead through the city toward Edgeshot's agency, which wasn't far from the station.

In only fifteen minutes by foot, the pair arrived outside of a large privately owned building that stood out like a sore thumb due to its Feudal era styled construction. The building was designed entirely to appear like a temple, dark red wood walls and archways that supported white-tiled curved rooftops with a beautiful garden surrounding the front of the building, a few staff sitting outside on the porch as the pair slowly walked down the winding path to the out-of-place temple.

Ciana didn't have any words to express how beautifully amazing this place looked, this place is exactly how she expected japan to look like. But… it's even more beautiful in person, Cianas eyes scanned around all the sights, the garden and the building. She couldn't believe her eyes. "Wow… how beautiful…" Ciana commented, looking like the kind a place a ninja or a samurai would definitely be. "This place looked even better than I imagined…"

"Agreed," Yuuki murmured, motioning for Ciana to follow.

The interior was much the same. Decorated in that same style with shoji screens separating several rooms either side of the receptionist lounge. Long chairs next to coffee tables and a stairwell to the right of the receptionist desk leading up. The left expanded into a hallway that appeared to lead to the rest of the complex unseen from the front, presumably, that was where most of the world was handled as well as accommodations for the Pros working here.

Ciana continue to scan around as she followed, this place looked almost like a palace. "Now I'm starting to wonder if I'll really understand everything being from America and all…" Ciana as already getting a bit nervous, since she's from America she wondered if she will be able to understand anything. Ciana hopes she won't end up disappointing their teacher…

"You've made it this far, so a small change of scenery should mean nothing," Yuuki replied, wondering herself if they should head toward the desk to ask or wait.

"Your right… I don't expect anything to be easy but I'll give it my best shot." Not like she can turn back now, though Ciana wasn't sure what to do ether. "Should… we inform them that we're here? Want me to go up to ask?" She asks Yuuki, knowing being social is not always her thing.

"No need, you've arrived perfectly on time," A voice spoke up behind them, causing Yuuki to stand completely rigid and Ciana to yelp in surprise.

Before them was a slim, muscular man. He had gray hair shaped into three sharp points that cover the right side of his face and dark gray eyes. He wore a blue mask that covers his mouth, tied at the back of his head with red yarn. He sported red shinobi shozoku underneath a blue robe. His arms covered in a thin, dark cloth that tucks into his white forearm sleeves. There are red straps attached to his belt and his robe that extend outward. A gold mask attached to his shoulder and sports a signature red scarf that features a white patch attached to the front of it. Lastly his costume was fitted with blue socks and yellow zori sandals.

He did a polite bow, "Apologizes for the scare; I am the Ninja Hero, Edgeshot, a pleasure," He eyed the two students critically.

She blinked her eyes a few times seeing this pro in person, but the scare just caused her to giggle funny enough. "Wow, you really are a ninja! Sure managed to surprise us." She comments with a smile, then does a bow herself knowing it's their greeting ways. "It's an honor to meet you… I'm Ciana Finley." Ciana straighten up, keeping her smile intact.

"And this is my friend Yuuki." Ciana introduces the girl next to her as well.

"Remiru Yuuki, sir," Yuuki did the same as Edgeshot gave a nod, those present glancing over at the pair that had been chosen for an internship.

"You both may be curious why it is a selected you two, and rivals at the Sports Festival too," Edgeshot hazard a guess, gesturing to the hallway to the left. "Come, I will explain some things before we begin. There's some time before we leave today to visit someplace important, follow me," Soon, the man led the way, not wasting time.

Yuuki and Ciana regarded one another, then silently followed Edgeshot.

The rest of the complex was designed much the same as the entrance, red was the primary colour, with hints of navy thrown in to match Edgeshot's appearance. The windows to their left displayed a large open dirt courtyard, fitting for training as equipment was stored around the edges of the garden's cherry blossom trees and decorative archways. He stopped, opening the sliding door to his right, it was a small office with three cups of tea already poured out at the desk for them.

Once the trio were seated, Edgeshot motioned for the girls to drink. "Now, allow me to ask, what is the reason you both believe I chose you among your peers? Why you two in particular?"

Ciana was stunned by the the beautiful room… especially how they got to view outside, the cherry blossom tree was so lovely to her… she hadn't seen a cherry blossom tree since middle school. Ciana tried not to get too distracted as she eyed the pro ninja and sips her tea, it tasted really sweet and refreshing.

Ciana tried to ponder his question in a thoughtful look, not really sure how to answer that. "Um… I'm not entirely sure, I can understand why you would choose Yuuki because she has skills very similar to how a ninja would have. But… for me, I would think it might have something to do with my power or lack of skills…" she responds kinda embarrassingly as she freed one hand to rub the back of her neck.

"I admit I could learn better to not always rely on my quirk…" Ciana thought maybe he chose her to help her learn to defend herself better, knowing she kept using her quirk to boost her stamina while fighting but that's her guess.

"As for myself... my quirk, while I am uncomfortable in using it, does provide me with greater mobility and senses than others, though, I feel that's not a valid reason given those stronger than me," Yuuki admitted. Her experience in the field could mop the floor with her classmates, but against raw strength paired with smarts like Katsuki or Shoto, she was out of her league.

"While valid answers, that is not the reason I chose you two - in fact, I would've asked another to join you two, but decided against it due to his proficiency with his quirk," Edgeshot replied, tugging his mask down to drink for a moment, staring at the two. "The reason is simple, Total Concentration breathing is a technique lost to this day and age, only two notable families in our era still practice that technique through a form of sacred dance, and yet, you two are both users of such a skill,"

That news took Yuuki by surprise a bit, "You... you know about it too?"

"I am one of the few who were taught the ways of the breathing technique, just as you two learned from your sources," Edgeshot replied simply.

Ciana wasn't too surprised he seemed to know about it, he seems like the kind of guy who is wise about a lot of tales and legends. But was surprised the pro chose them for that reason. "So, you chose us because you want to help us improve on the technique?"

Ciana was never very fond of the technique since it made her have a hard time breathing at first… but it became a very useful thing to use. "What else do we need to learn from it?" All Might has taught her and Izuku how to perform it, though now wondered what way the pro ninja would teach it.

"For today, I will take you both to one of these families to learn of the true form of this technique, one that will take time to learn, and will push your bodies to their limits; however, if you can master it, even a person who is considered quirkless can reach inhuman feats," Edgeshot offered, finishing his tea with a sigh. "Now, you will be staying here in a spare dorm amongst my staff that work here, it will be suitable for the two of you, and within the hour, I shall come collect you two, less you have any other questions,"

Already things are getting interesting, though knew this is going to be hard doing the breathing again… hearing that they will be staying in a dorm here, Ciana guessed it might have a Japanese theme too and nodded in response to their teacher. "Thank you sir." Another new exciting experience for her, glancing out the door to view the cherry blossom tree again for a moment. So far Ciana really enjoyed the pretty sight of it, Japan really is a beautiful country.

"I wonder how Izuku is doing already? I'm almost worried how rough his teacher might start out to be." She mentally asks herself, hopefully he's excited about who he's meeting…

One distinct quality of Edgeshot is that he didn't waste time, once their tea was drank, the girls were shown to the back of the agency where the largest building was found, being the living quarters. Inside their room was a small, two-person accommodation. Fit with two beds, a TV, bathroom, and other necessities as well as a small bonsai tree in a pot on the windowsill.

Edgeshot stood by the door with his arms crossed. "Unpack, and relax for the time being, or feel free to look around to familiarize yourselves with my agency. If you require any assistance, I have notified my side-kicks and other staff to help you," He nodded to them once. "You two have similar flaws, in that you resent your quirks to some degree, and share the same technique not many have ever heard of. I look forward to seeing your progress in this week,"

Ciana was surprised he already knew she was not fond of her quirk, setting her bag down while keeping her attention on him. "H-how'd you know I wasn't comfortable with my quirk?" Ciana didn't think she was obvious about it, or was she without realizing it…?

"When I realized you both possessed the breathing technique, I asked your teachers, rather, those organizing the internships, simple information on your training and any issues that have arisen; the one who trained you, Finley, spoke of your growing concern with your quirk, the rest was simple assumption which you confirmed," Edgeshot didn't wish to trick the young girl but he had to have a clear understanding of where to improve. "So, if you don't mind, why is it you feel uncomfortable with your quirk? And yourself, Yuuki?"

Ciana had a feeling this question might come… Ciana gazed down at her hands for a minute before gazing back up at the pro with clear fear in her eyes. "I… I-I realize the more I use my quirk, I start evolving into a beast…" She answered honestly, the memory of the scales on her arms still terrified her. "But not only that… but i began to behave differently… I'm scared I'll become something I'm not, it's… something I'm not used to or comfortable with…"

Edgeshot nodded, lowering his arms before resting one hand on her shoulder. "Do not feel disheartened, as I have said, this technique will provide a great benefit, as well as my own training; however, you mustn't fear your own body, in time, you may understand this, so for now, focus on what you are capable of doing,"

Ciana wasn't sure if she will ever handle her new appearance, her gaze looks down but nods in response and understanding of his words. "I'll try… but I hope to be able to still fight without it, that's what I want to improve is that I'm so much more without a quirk."

"If that is your wish, then I will do what I can to help you achieve this goal," Edgeshot was earnest, if the girl didn't want to use her quirk, he wouldn't force her to, perhaps someday she might. "And what is it about your quirk that you hide that you resent?"

Yuuki sighed slowly, adjusting her bow. "Every time I look at myself and see these mutations, I'm only reminded of what I lost, this quirk is a curse - hmph, I suppose we are alike," She eyed Ciana. "Our mutual hatred for our powers, but yes, I have and will continue to use the skills I have learned thus far to excel, regardless of the disadvantage it places on me,"

"Very well," Edgeshot bowed his head. "I will return, for now, rest, as what follows will push you to your limits," And like a gust of wind, the ninja had vanished without a trace.

Ciana was so taken back by his sudden disappearance, staring at the spot the pro disappeared before giggling again. "He's just like ninjas in the moves… he's pretty cool." Ciana commented with her smile back as she begun to unpack her stuff, slipping out her phone as she planned to send a text to Izuku soon.

"I don't think I ever got to know what is own quirk is, maybe I did hear but I forgot… think it maybe has so do with how he's so sneaky?" She asks Yuuki playfully, setting out her clothes she brought with her. Even the green rabbit on her bed.

Yuuki did the same, unpacking on her side as she stared at the rabbit plush Ciana pulled out before replying. "His quirk is called Foldabody, as I mentioned before. His quirk allows him to make his body and limbs extremely thin and long, effectively allowing him to transform himself into a razor-sharp string. According to rumours, he can transform his body faster than the speed of sound," Yuuki explained before her eye narrowed at her phone as I rang, having the contact, 'Master' on the screen before she ignored it. "It's likely Total Concentration and training that gives him that affinity of entrances and exits,"

"Huh…" another strange power Ciana is not familiar with, she tried to imagine how that would look… sounds almost like her classmate friend who can stretch his body parts, which she still finds freaky. "That sounds similar to one of my friends quirks… though that also sounds pretty unhealthy but… pretty cool." Usually ninjas Ciana seen in movies don't have much powers like that, which just make this more interesting.

"That could explain how he managed to slip in and out on us, definitely very ninja like." She learns something new everyday. "I'm glad though we'll be able to learn new ways to fight without our quirks, sure will be exciting."

"While I am grateful for the experience, I am curious as to why this ability is so old, even my master isn't aware of its origins," Yuuki commented, sitting down on her bed. "I've searched online but there are no records of this technique, as though it simply vanished from history."

"I'm not entirely sure." She goes to sit on her bed herself, holding her rabbit in hand. "Japan usually has some old wise tales from the past, some aren't truly forgotten. Meru Zena was just an urban legend until he revealed himself to be real." Ciana held her rabbit more closely. "It would make sense they have some rare skills that are passed down, could be it's too dangerous for others to know about and should be used wisely."

"I suppose we will find out soon," Yuuki answered, staring at her phone as it was vibrating again. She reluctantly answered. "Yes? I was busy - I know that - yes, I'm aware... I won't-" Her head lowered a bit as though she was being scolded. "...what that mongrel says isn't - ...what 'Io' says isn't important - I know, I won't this time, I swear... bye," Hanging up the phone, Yuuki fell onto her back, staring up at the ceiling, completely forgetting Ciana was here.

She blinked her eyes in confusion and kinda surprised, Ciana guessed it was her mentor she talked about. He almost sounded rough kinda like Shotos dad… tilting her head in wonder of this as Ciana stared at Yuuki. "Was that your mentor? What did he want to call about?"

Not even turning her head, Yuuki tossed her phone aside. She had a new mission; 'if you see an opportunity, bring Ciana Finley to me, if showing her what we're planning is what she wants, it may convince her willingly'. It was a gamble at best, no doubt Io's way to make himself 'the boss's favourite' as if it were a competition. "It appears... the one that irritates me most has been trying to get under my skin by becoming our master's favourite; I swear, every word that runt breathes makes me want to slit his throat..." Closing her eyes, Yuuki tired to calm down. "I've failed more times in recent weeks than I have in my years with my master, I feel... conflicted, and weird, and I don't know what side is really right at the moment,"

The guy sounded pretty pushy… she guessed he expected a lot out of Yuuki in her enroll of UA, Ciana tries not to press too much about the issue but could tell this guy is really getting under her skin. "Well, remember what I advised you to see things with your own eyes and not from people with their own perspective." Ciana tried to perk her up with this as her smile came back.

"I don't know what you mean by failing but from what I seen you got to be in the finals at the festival! Sure you didn't come in first place but got to make it farther than me and got praised by the top hero himself." Ciana wasn't sure what was putting her down but hoped she is helping her feel good about herself.

"Your even here training with one of the top ranked hero's, that's quite an honor. I'm not sure what your mentor expects out of you but your your own hero, you don't need to be scolded for any lack's he wants out of you. Many people see you have so much potential including your friends. When I was watching you fight Bakugo I heard them cheering you on and view you pretty highly." Yuuki has always been talked about being so tough and cunning, to her it's clear she's very well known and respected.

Sitting upright, Yuuki looked... lost, "But... if I can't even help the one that saved my life... what good am I?" She whispered, balling her hands up in frustration. "What does it matter if people praise me? I... I'm useless," Why was she telling Ciana this? They were enemies, the second Ciana's taken by one of Yuuki's rifts, the façade is gone, she's a traitor, so what's compelling her to say all of this!?

"Yuuki… if this guy doesn't respect you enough to make your own choices in life then he's not worth it…" she tried to advice her with a firm tone, her expression looking serious but soft at the same time. "I get that you want to owe him for everything he's done for you, but you done enough to repay him from how much respect you shown him, and if that's not enough for him… you should stand up for yourself and do what you believe is right."

Ciana wasn't sure if it was enough… but hoped it gives Yuuki something to think about. "Like what my mom always told me… don't show fear no matter what and stand up for yourself, eventually you'll be seen as so much more."

"I... I don't know... it's not that simple... it's..." She squeezed her eyes shut, then only an empty look remained in her eye. "I... just need to be alone..." Picking herself up, Yuuki quickly left the room without another word, her head swirling with contradictions. Yuuki had a job to do, if they succeed, this world would be a distant memory, all of it is just a means to an end... right? Yes, it was, it... was...

She watched as the poor girl walked out of the room, frowning in worry for her. "I don't know what's going on… but I hope being here will help give her some peace of mind eventually." Ciana doesn't chase after her as she knew she needed time to herself to think.

Ciana pulled out her phone now, using her free arm to hug her rabbit still as she sends a text to Izuku.

[Ciana] Hey Izuku! Are you free to talk at the moment?

Ciana made sure to ask first before calling, not wanting to risk interrupting anything that might be going on with her hero too.

After about half a minute, a call came through. Ciana didn't hesitate to answer it. ~I can't feel my face, but yeah, I'm free for now, but not for long, Gran Torino might attack me if I extend my break too long~ Izuku sounded winded and slightly strained. ~H-hi, by the way, it's only been just over an hour~

Ciana was very happy to hear his voice already, it hadn't been very long but Ciana already missed him a lot. A big smile appeared on her face when she heard Izuku's voice, but winced at how worn out the guy sounded as she sweat-dropped and giggled a little. ~Already he's working you hard? Jeez I'm really sorry to hear that… sounds exactly how Mr Yagi warned.~

Ciana felt so bad he's already exhausted, thinking maybe if his teacher works him to his limit then Izuku won't have the strength to talk tonight. ~But yeah, Hi! Its been that long and already I miss you, is this guy everything like Mr Yagi warned? Is he at least nice?~

~I've missed you too. And believe it or not but I have it easier than All Might - as for nice, that's... debatable~ Izuku then sounded like he was frantically looking around encase he was heard. ~I mean, his advice for improving my quirk are really helpful, more practical and just moving around with a certain percentage, but yes, ow, everything is sore and we're not done by a long shot, haha... ahem, w-what about you and Yuuki?~

Ciana shivered at the news of this guy Izuku has, he really sounded like a nightmare… but at least glad to hear Izuku is improving on his power. ~Wow, this guy really sounds exhausting… but I'm glad to hear he's still helpful, I just hope you'll be able to still move…~ Ciana remembered how sore she got with All Mights training, knowing how he feels.

~But as for here on my side… Edgeshot is really cool like you all described! His place is so memorizing and beautiful, unlike anything I ever seen. I wish you could see it, he startled us when we met but that's to be expected out of a ninja~ She giggled, but then frowned a little. ~Yuuki is… doing okay, we had a fun conversation on our way here. But she's going through some issues… but I hope our time here will help her feel better about herself.~

~Well, it's a start for her, given she never came across like the talkative type. But, I'm happy for you, hopefully, I'll still be conscious when we talk later - t-though I should go, Gran Torino's starting to glare at me - I-I'll be there soon~ Izuku quickly replied. ~I said it before, but, do your best, Ciana~

Ciana was sad he already had to go, but pretty creeped out this guy sounded like he was stalking Izuku. ~W-wait he's actually watching you as we talk?!~ her eyes went wide at this, he really does sound scary… Ciana wished his teacher would of let him talk longer as she wanted to tell him something she read about, but if this old pro is watching then definitely not the best time to tell him… ~A-alright… stay strong Izuku! I always believe you'll pull through no matter what.~

~Hehehe, w-will do, thank you - and same to you~ Izuku chuckled nervously. Then he added under his breath, ~Love you, bye~ Then he hung up before anything else could happen, leaving Ciana to snicker slightly at his abrupt end.

Ciana felt bad for Izuku, but sad that he had to hang up so quick. "Jeez… doesn't that old guy know when to cut loose once in a while? I guess I'll tell Izuku what I researched about dragons later…" she narrows her brows and pouted in annoyance, clutching her rabbit closely as she now frowned a little sadly.

"Already I miss him… but it's best I don't get in his way anyways… I really hope Izuku will be able to walk when the weeks up." She sweatdropped, but putting her rabbit aside. Since they will be training soon, Ciana gets changed into her gym wear. Even putting her hair in a ponytail. "Well… I got my own workout coming soon, better not slack off…" and with that, she steps out to get ready for what's to come…
