-Chapter Two Hundred and Forty-Six-

"Don't mention it!" Nami hiccuped.

"I'm so happy!" Chopper cried.

"It's so good to have you back!" I sniffed as the three of us just tightened our hold on the woman who was happy to hug us back.

"Granny, you're amazing! I never knew you were a mermaid!" Chimney excitedly exclaimed. "I always did think it was weird that you have fins and scales, now I know why!" she widely smiled.

"How many clues does it take?!" Franky snapped.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Nami quickly asked the second Chopper suddenly fell over and went still.

"Chopper?" I furrowed my brows in concern, squatting down next to the fallen reindeer to check up on him and make sure that he was truly alright.

"Are you alright?" Robin worriedly asked.

"I…I…I can't move my body" the reindeer shakily told us, looking quite frightened by the fact that none of his limbs were moving.

"I'm not surprised—don't worry about it, I'll explain everything later, okay" Zoro assured the reindeer from the staircase that led up to the bridge that led to the Gates of Justice.

"Hey, Zoro!" Sniper King called out as he followed after the swordsman with Franky quick to follow after as well. 'I'm glad he's alright' I softly smiled as I stared down at the reindeer, just pleased that he was alive and well. Though that smile soon faltered for only a second as I now thought about how much pain he must have been in while in that monstrous form of his...I hope he never has to push himself to go that far ever again. Owlishly did I blink and cast a small glance towards Robin when she suddenly took a seat beside me, softly smiling down at the reindeer as well. Looking around us, I quickly noted how Sanji was finally making his way up the stairs towards the other three.

"Okay, she's ready, we can leave anytime" Nami called up to the guys after she checked the ship, making sure that it was prepared to set sail. "As soon as Luffy gets here, we'll set sail immediately" she told them.

"Is something a matter, Robin?" I curiously asked when I noticed how her eyes were now trained on me. She looked as if she almost wanted to say something, but didn't really know how to bring it up or that she was hesitant on bringing up whatever it was she wanted to say.

"No, it's nothing" she finally shook her head, giving a small smile as I looked down at Chopper—the two of us exchanging curious glances with one another before I simply shrugged my shoulders.

"Alright, if you say so" I hummed, knowing that if it was something important then she'll tell me.

"This is a report from the main island front gate—all personnel of Enies Lobby have been collected and accounted for, we have also identified the fifty pirates as well as the mutinous giants attempting to escape the island through the front gate here in the northwest!" a voice announced over the intercom. "We attacked them with a full barrage of cannon fire, they have been eliminated—all targets are currently presumed dead. In the island's current condition, the chances of survival are impossible, repeat the number of survivors at Enies Lobby is zero!"

"I don't believe that..." I breathed out, looking between Nami, Robin, and Chopper as we all listened to the announcement.

"This is a report from Battleship Two, the courthouse and the Tower of Law located in the southeast corner of the island as well as the underground passages connecting the island to the Bridge of Hesitation have all been destroyed!" a new voice announced. "The only remaining target is the Bridge of Hesitation!"

"Poor Yokozuna, I'm sure he was right there beside them" Kokoro sighed as her gaze became downcast.

"And what about Sodom and Gomorrah?" Chopper whimpered. "They're dead too!" he worriedly cried.

"He talked about it like it was nothing" Nami frowned. "How can they kill people so easily?" she asked, not understanding how someone could speak so calmly as if they hadn't just snuffed out a bunch of lives.

"They don't think of it that way, they don't see any people, to them it's just a tiny island on a map" Robin responded. "A place they've been sent to erase from the world, without any emotion, that's what a Buster Call is" she sadly muttered.

"If they believe that they're doing it for justice, they don't care who they kill" I grounded out, clenching my fists. "If they have this excuse in their minds, then they'll never see the pain and suffering they're causing or the damage that's being done because of their actions!" I hadn't realized that tears of frustration were already pricking the corners of my eyes.

"Skylar?" Chopper worriedly asked.

"Skylar..." Nami mumbled, taking a step closer towards the three of us.

"They're all blinded by power that they forgot what justice really is!" I roughly swiped at my eyes, glaring at the ground before heaving a sigh when I felt a gentle hand rest upon my shoulder and give it a comforting squeeze. "Sorry...I guess I just got worked up" I muttered, looking towards Robin who only gave a gentle smile before silence engulfed us all as we listened to the sounds of fighting around us.

"It's strange, but I think that Luffy always knows—right from the start, he can tell who he has to fight, who he has to beat if we're going to survive" Chopper suddenly said, breaking the silence.

"He has instincts like an animal, even more so than you" Nami said.

"That's for sure" I snorted. "If he can sniff out adventure, I'm sure he can sniff out the person whose ass he needs to kick" I said.

"The first support column has now been cut off!" the intercom suddenly crackled to life with this announcement. "Rob Lucci of CP9 and Straw Hat Luffy are both inside the support column!"

"The battleships are coming this way" Nami pointed out as one of them pulled up beside us.

"All ships, take up combat position around the Bridge of Hesitation!" the voice on the intercom commanded. "On the bridge of the escort ship, we've identified ten pirates including the Pirate Hunter Zoro and Nico Robin—we believe these are the culprits that defeated CP9 in the Tower of Law!"

"They're here for Robin" I frowned, pushing myself to stand as I grabbed hold of my swords.

"Well, let them try" Nami huffed, tightly clutching her Clima Takt.

"Those ranked lieutenants or lower, stay put! To the two hundred Elite Captain Commanders—engage the enemy and wipe them out immediately!" the voice ordered.

"I'm scared, Granny!" Chimney whimpered.

"All hands prepare to head in, let's go!" a Marine ordered which caused the other men to cheer.

"No matter what happens, we can't give them an inch!" Zoro shouted. "Until Luffy gets here, we have to hold our ground!" he huffed.

"We need to get down to the bridge, if they damage this ship, we can't escape!" Nami told us.

"We won't let them ruin this for us" I frowned.

"I won't let them catch me ever again!" Robin firmly stated.

"Darn it! I can't move!" Chopper cried out in frustration as he attempted to move his body so that he could follow.

"Destroy them!" a Marine shouted. "Capture Nico Robin and bring her here!" he commanded as the men rushed off the ships, all of them spreading out across the bridge and rushing down the stairs as they set to work in doing as they were told.

"Uh-oh! The bad guys are coming, Granny!" Chimney cried out the minute she spotted the Marines rushing towards us, their weapons drawn and ready to fight.

"Well, that ain't good" Kokoro said.

"You stay here and guard the boat, Robin—Skylar and I, we'll do our best to hold them back" Nami told the raven-haired woman before both she and I rushed forward, ready to clash with the men and push them back. I put all of my focus on each man that I had in my sights, listening as Nami set to work in creating thunder clouds overhead.

"What the hell?" one of the Marine's asked as he peered up at the dark clouds in confusion. Quick was I to jump back away from the men, safely moving beside the ginger haired woman as to avoid being caught up in the attack.

"They're clouds" another pointed out before they all started to scream in pain the moment they were struck by the lightning that shot out and electrocuted them.

"Nice!" I whistled. "You're really making great work of those electric attacks!" I praised, impressed with how good she's been getting with using that Clima Takt of hers.

"Thanks, that's one of my Thunderbolt Tempo" Nami grinned. "We did it!" she proudly puffed out her chest, pleased with the group of men she had easily been able to take down by herself.

"She's mocking us with that ridiculous weapon!" a Marine Captain sneered from the top of the steps.

"Have some respect, pirates!" another snapped as more came rushing down towards us. I clashed my swords with some of them, blocking their attacks and attempting to push them back before Robin suddenly used her Devil Fruit powers to knock the men back and away from us all.

"Robin?" Nami questioned.

"You don't have to worry about protecting me anymore" Robin smiled. "If the crew is fighting, then I'm fighting too!" she firmly stated.

"That's the spirit!" I smiled.

"Huh? There's more!" Nami frowned when she saw that even more Marines were rushing down the stairs and towards us.

"Well, they did send two hundred Elite Captains—we're going to have our hands full until Luffy shows up" I said.

"Nothing to see here, boys" Kokoro waved alongside Chimney. "We're just hostages" she assured the men, making sure that they wouldn't dare try to attack her and her granddaughter.

"Don't mind us!" Chimney smiled as we all continued to fight.

"Luffy! What the hell are you doing?! Get up!" my ears perked up to the sound of Sniper King screaming which caused me to cast a short glance towards him, his mask was finally off as he stood on the highest point that he could find on the bridge—I shook my head, quick to go back to fighting as I knocked back a group of men that rushed at me before my swords clashed with a group of swords from various men that attacked at the same time. I can't let myself get distracted, I needed to stay focus—Luffy will be alright, I'm sure of it.

"So that woman has Devil Fruit powers" a Marine remarked as he watched Robin take out more men. "Everyone! Attack on my command—go!" he ordered as a group of men rushed towards the raven-haired woman, only for them to soon tumble down the stairs as Robin used her powers to grab at their ankles and trip them up.

"Here we go, Thunderbolt!" Nami shot out a ball of electricity up into the new storm clouds she had finished creating. "Thunderbolt Tempo!" just like before, the men were struck by large bolts of lightning once again. "That'll teach you to mess with us...guess these guys are a bit stronger than your average Marine" she remarked the minute she spotted the men starting to stand back up, none of them staying down this time around.

"They're Elite Captains, they have to be—it's rare for someone weak to be able to snag a position like that" I said, swinging my body around as I aggressively smashed the heel of my foot into one of the men trying to sneak up behind me side, knocking him back and into a few other men.

"Luffy!" my gaze once again wandered back over to Usopp who continued to just scream at the top of his lungs—still standing in that same position. "Can you hear me?! Luffy, get up! Don't get the wrong idea, I just came here to save Robin, that's it! Alright?! I didn't come here to see you or your stupid face, you understand me?!

"Hey you, the CP9 boss cat! I know you can hear me—from here on out, I'm your opponent! Come and get some!" he angrily shouted.

"What is he doing?" I breathed out, eyes widening a bit at his bold claim, normally he wouldn't dare to challenge someone that much stronger than him.

"Yeah, that's right! If you mess with Robin, then you mess with me!" Usopp snapped. "Now, listen and listen good, you bastard! I'm a fearsome pirate, a warrior among warriors and I command an army of over eight thousand men—I am the great Captain Usopp!" the lie he spoke brought a small smile to my lips. "I sailed all over the Grand Line, I've destroyed island after island, wreaking havoc everywhere I go!

"And if the World Government wants to go toe to toe with me, then I'll crush every last one of you with my little pinkie finger! Now come on up here and fight me, if you got the guts, or are you just a scaredy-cat?!" he sneered, continuing to challenge who I can only assume was Lucci—I guess from where he stood he could easily see the man and Luffy. "Come and get me, boss kitty cat! I am going to take you out!" he proclaimed.

"Usopp, what are you…?" I trailed off, worried about what the long-nosed pirate was doing—he was walking on thin ice with words like that. I'll give him props for this sudden burst of that bravery of his, but...he was still so badly hurt, still hurt from his wounds caused by the Franky Family, still hurt from his fight with Luffy, still hurt from the wounds Jyabura had inflicted on him. He couldn't go up against someone like Lucci.

"You shut up!" I could only assume he was speaking to someone else as his head was turned in a direction different from my own. Who? I don't know, I couldn't even hear what they were saying to him. "What the hell are you going to do about it, huh?! You're almost dead!" I couldn't help but flinch at his words, was he…was he speaking to Luffy? Was Luffy really having that much trouble with Lucci to the point that he was nearly dead?

"Then get up—show him what you're made of! Stop lying around coughing and bleeding like you're going to die! That is not the Luffy I know at all!" the sharpshooter snapped. "Even though it is filled with smoke, we can still see the sky, we can still see the ocean, this place isn't Hell! I can't believe you'd let it end like this, so stop acting like you're about to die, you stupid bastard!

"What's wrong with you?! Why are you trying to make us worry?! Get up and fight!" he screamed, voice quivering as we all continued to fight. I had to eventually look away from the long-nosed pirate, focusing all my attention on both my defensive and offensive attacks towards the Marines that rushed at me. "Finish him, then we can all leave this place together!"

"I will win no matter what!" a smile was brought to my lips as I heard Luffy scream this at the top of his lungs—his words echoing through the air to the point that it was loud enough to be heard over the sound of fighting. Robin, Nami, and I soon found our back all pressed against one another, each of us looking at the men that surrounded us on every side. Our breathing was heavy and it was obvious we were starting to tire just a bit, it was obvious that all this fighting we've been doing since we arrived was starting to take its toll.

"How dare you! You three can't treat the Marines like this!" one of the men snapped.

"We're pirates, how did you expect us to treat you? Like royalty?" I scoffed.

"As long as we stay clear of those thunder clouds, we got them" one of the men stated.

"There's already another one!" the first man suddenly cried out upon seeing the large thunder cloud Nami had been secretly making this entire time hanging over their heads. "Alright men, we need to spread out! Break formation and—what is it? I'm busy!" he snapped before him and all the other men were slapped across the face by Robin's disembodied arms that she had sprouted on their backs.

"What the hell did you do that for?!" all the Marines snapped.

"Hey, guys! When the lightning strikes, try not to get too electrocuted" Nami teased which caused me to chuckle. "Thunderbolt!" she shot a ball of electricity up into the cloud, proudly grinning as she watched the lightning rain down on the men. "Thunderbolt Tempo!"

"Oh, you can see their skeletons this time!" I whistled in amazement as I watched how the bodies of the men danced around in jerky motions.

"Yeah! Way to go, pirate ladies!" Chimney cheered.

"Nice work" Kokoro grinned. "Listen, we're all okay over here, so go on upstairs and help those boys out" she said, motioning for us to head on.

"Your raccoon dog will be safe here with us, okay!" Chimney smiled.

"Raccoon dog? I'm a reindeer! Reindeer!" Chopper angrily cried out.

"Okay then, we'll leave Chopper with you, take care of him" Nami nodded. "Ready?" she asked.

"Yeah" Robin nodded.

"Let's go!" I grinned as the three of us rushed up the steps.

"Be careful, some of these jerks have Devil Fruit powers!" Franky warned as Nami, Robin, and I ran from the Marines, my mind too focused on trying to survive to really care what the others had to say or what they were doing.

"They could say the same of me" Robin said as she used her powers to sprout arms around the Marines bodies and forcefully bend them back which caused them all to cry out in pain as their bones loudly popped from the sudden force of being jerked back in such an awkward angle. It wasn't long before the ground itself started to shake as one of the columns close by had a huge hole busted through it which caused debris and dust to fly everywhere.

"Luffy!" Usopp and I shouted upon the sight of the destruction—all of us having a vague idea of what had possibly happened to cause such a column to collapse.

"Luffy!" Robin gasped as she turned to face the direction of the destruction.

"Attention, aboard all ships, I have an urgent report just now! Rob Lucci, the most powerful agent of CP9, was seen lying face down and lifeless on the first column!" the intercom once again crackled to life with this announcement. "I repeat, Rob Lucci has just been defeated by Straw Hat Luffy!" the announcer repeated.

"He...he did it!" I couldn't help but chuckle as a wide grin tugged at my lips upon hearing this new—upon hearing that the captain had won.

"We're all going back together, Robin!" Luffy screamed which brought the raven-haired woman to tears of joy.

"He won! Luffy won!" Usopp cheered.

"Luffy, you had us worried!" Zoro called down to the rubber man who was currently sprawled out on the ground, heavily panting.
