-Chapter Two Hundred and Fifty-Three-

"Hey, can I have some of that money to go play with?" Luffy suddenly asked.

"I sooner take it to the grave—your allowance in revoked!" Nami snapped.

"Yes, ma'am" Luffy weakly nodded the minute he got hit again.

"Why would you ask her something like that at a moment like this?" I shook my head as I crossed my arms.

-Later-

"Skylar, I think this would suit you perfectly" Nami smiled as she held up a flowing pink dress, closing one eye as she held it right in front of me as if trying to get an idea of what I would look like in it...why did I agree to go shopping with her and Robin again?

"Uh...no thanks, I think I'll pass" I shook my head, hands held up to push back the dress she was offering me the moment she attempted to push it in my hands as if silently asking for me to go and try it on. "Nami, I already told you, I don't really do dresses" I said.

"But come on, you need to wear something cute every now and then" Nami softly huffed as she put the dress away before smiling as she picked up another one. "I'm sure Zoro would like to see you in this one" she purred, winking as she watched my face flush upon seeing just how uncomfortably short the blue dress was.

"Woman, I would like to keep my innocence!" I embarrassingly snapped. "Besides, I'm a swordswoman, do you understand how uncomfortable it would be if I had to engage in a fight while wearing a dress?" I grumbled, cheeks puffing out into a small pout as I crossed my arms, growing annoyed with how she didn't seem to hear me.

"I think she would look rather nice in this one" Robin suddenly piped up, catching both mine and Nami's attention. Looking towards her, I saw that the dress she held up was pure black—it was nothing more than a corset at the top with a puffed-out bottom that was meant to be designed to look like a skirt. My blush darkened upon seeing how it was just as short as the blue dress that Nami was holding up. "I'm sure Zoro would be extremely happy to see you in this" she deviously smiled.

"Oh! You're right, he would love it!" Nami eagerly nodded in agreement.

"That beast of a man would destroy me! I want to be able to walk for the rest of my life you two!" I embarrassingly cried out which caused them both to burst out laughing.

"I'm sure we can find even more cute outfits for you to wear, Skylar!" Nami happily chirped as she and Robin hooked their arms with my own and started to drag me along with them.

"I'm too young to die!" I wailed which caused the two to laugh once again.

"Robin, Skylar—what do you think of this one?" Nami curiously asked as she held up some clothes, now shopping for herself after she had spotted of few articles of clothing that had been enough to catch her interest.

"It's nice, try it on" Robin smiled.

"I think it'll suit you perfectly" I nodded.

"Hey, Nami! Robin! Skylar!" we all suddenly heard Luffy shout.

"Hey" Robin greeted as she and I were the only ones to really look towards the rubber man.

"Hello" I waved, raising an eyebrow as I curiously looked at the little girl riding on the Yagara along with the captain and Chopper as all three of them pulled to a stop right next to us.

"Hold on, maybe Robin can help" Luffy told the two with him before he held out a picture for us to see.

"A Yagara with a blue fire on its head, right?" Robin questioned after the captain gave us a rundown of the current situation he and Chopper were helping the little girl with—seems they were looking for the Yagara from that picture. "I understand, I'll see what I can do" she nodded as she used her Devil Fruit powers and began to search the entire area close around us.

"So, find him?" Luffy curiously asked.

"I'm afraid not" Robin shook her head. "I tried, sorry" she apologized.

"It's okay, thanks for looking" Luffy smiled. "Come on—let's go, Abi" he said as he grabbed the little girl the minute he noticed that she wasn't moving. "See you later, Robin, Skylar!" he waved as the three of them now took their leave.

"Bye" Robin and I waved right back.

"Come on, let's get back to the torture..." I grumbled once the three were out of sight.

"It's not that bad" Robin chuckled, and just seeing her smile was enough for a smile of my own to tug at my lips.

"I know, but with the outfits you and Nami keep choosing for me, who knows if I'll be able to survive with Zoro around" I softly chuckled as I embarrassingly scratched my cheek. "It's going to be uncomfortable and embarrassing, but if I have to, I think I can manage wearing a dress or two" I muttered in admittance.

"That's the spirit" Robin smiled as we both rejoined Nami and it wasn't long before we were following closely behind her as we made our way down the sidewalk, not even close to finishing our shopping trip just yet.

"Dammit! I can't run anymore!" I was quick to perk up upon hearing Zoro's voice close by which in return caused my eyes to brighten as I quickly turned in the direction I had heard his voice—Robin quick to follow in my lead as it seems the woman had also heard his voice.

"Having a rough time?" Robin curiously asked the moment she spotted the swordsman.

"Huh? You could say that—I don't know how I let myself get into this mess" Zoro grumbled before tensing up as he quickly looked towards us. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" he snapped which caused Robin and me to laugh as the swordsman hurriedly pushed us into a nearby alleyway.

"Nice outfit" I snorted as I looked at the yellow shirt he was wearing, it was way too small for someone like him. "Who are the cuties?" I asked the minute I saw the three infants that he was carrying, I couldn't help but lean down a little and lovingly coo at the three that giggled and laugh as they reach their hands out from the sling he was carrying them inside. I giggled just a little at the embarrassed look on the swordsman's face as his cheeks flushed a bright red.

"Now, listen—"

"Robin? Skylar? I wonder where they went..." Nami's voice cut through the air, interrupting whatever the swordsman had to say. "Robin? Skylar?" she called out once again as already we could see her walk past the entrance of the alleyway, looking all around her in an attempt to locate Robin and me after we suddenly just disappeared on her.

"You don't have to worry about anything, your secret is safe with us—and to be honest, it suits you" Robin smiled before she went after Nami, intent on distracting the woman before she had the chance to spot Zoro.

"Can't argue with her on that, you'd make a great mother" I chuckled which further embarrassed the swordsman who only grumbled in response. "See you around, Mama Zoro" I teased as I leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips before patting his back and walking away—leaving him nothing short of an embarrassed mess as I quickly caught up and followed after the two women. It wasn't that long before our shopping trip was once again interrupted, but this time it was disrupted by a group of men swarming us and not by any of our friends.

"Well, you mind telling us how you three ladies came to be a part of the Straw Hat Pirates?" a reporter asked. "What difficulties did you face being a pirate and a woman?" behind the group of men I could hear Sanji jumping around with hearts flying all around him as he attempted to call out towards the three of us. Wildly waving his arms in some attempt to catch our attention.

"Well, hard to say, that's more of a private matter—don't you think?" Nami asked.

"Doesn't look like we'll get much shopping done" Robin remarked

"Thank goodness" I sighed in relief at the thought of a break—we had enough bags in my opinion.

"I don't know" Nami muttered as she looked at the crowd of men, not sure how much of this shopping trip she wanted to waste on dealing with them.

"Thanks for the photos, now do you think that we could get you three in swimsuits?" the reporter suddenly asked. "It'll be a big hit, what do you say?" he grinned.

"I can't believe you, what kind of girl do you think I am?" Nami frowned as she grabbed the front of the reporter's shirt.

"I'm so sorry, ma'am" he quickly apologized as a look of fear and regret flashed across his face.

"If you want something, then you have to talk price first" Nami huffed as a grin suddenly tugged at her lips.

"Are you serious?" Robin asked.

"Should have known" I sweat dropped as the raven-haired woman laughed.

"Well, of course, I am" Nami said. "Luffy's party cost 100,000,000 belis, we have to make that money back somehow, and this is the easy way to do it" she argued as my sweat drop grew upon seeing the perverted looks the men and Sanji were now giving at the prospect of seeing us women in bathing suits.

"Perverts! I can't believe you'd ask these ladies to do that!" Sanji suddenly snapped.

"Uh...this guy is a part of their crew—I'm sorry, sir!" the reporter quickly apologized once more as he cowered back in fear.

"Where'd he come from?" Nami asked, surprised by the blonde's sudden appearance.

"He's been here the whole time, did neither of you notice him jumping around back there?" I asked, watching how both Nami and Robin shook their heads.

"If I catch any of you bothering them again, you're dead—you hear me?! You can take your pictures, and questions, and get out of here!" Sanji snapped as he chased the men away before doing a love tornado back towards the three of us. "Dear Nami! Sweet Robin! Darling Skylar! You ladies shouldn't have any more troubles from that bunch, I took care of it!" he lovingly smiled.

"Well, so much for the photoshoot, but at least we can do our shopping in peace" Nami sighed before looking towards me with a glint in her eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?!" I shivered. "Please, no more dresses! I've already tried on five today—isn't that enough?!" I asked.

"Nope, you need to at least try on twenty more" Nami innocently smiled, chuckling at the low whine of distress I gave her in return.

"So, since all of our schedules have opened up a bit, might I suggest we take a break from shopping" Sanji suggested.

"Hey, Mr. Pirate Cook! Hey!" Chimney said as she looked up towards the blond that was still talking, I hadn't noticed she was with him until just now.

"What? What is it?" Sanji asked as he looked down at the child, he didn't sound fully annoyed with her just yet, but it was clear that she was slightly starting to get on his nerves with how she was interrupting his attempts at trying to flirt.

"I'm hungry, can we eat?" Chimney asked.

"I just gave you some Water Water Candy a few minutes ago" Sanji said.

"That's not enough to feed a child" I sweat dropped.

"I'm hungry! I'm hungry! I'm hungry!" Chimney whined as she began to stomp her feet.

"Now, listen to me—if you want to eat, I'll give you some money and you can find something" Sanji said as he squatted down to be closer to the young girl's height. "I'm trying to set up a date, get the picture? I need alone time" he not so secretly whispered.

"I don't want to eat alone!" Chimney faked cried—I knew fake tears when I saw them, mother was good at them and Sora also has shown to be good at faking his tears when he needed to.

"You're not fooling anyone!" Sanji snapped as Nami, Robin, and I all looked at one another.

"Aw! It's okay, Chimney" Nami cooed to the young girl. "Sanji may seem rude from time to time, but he'd never really be mean to a girl" she said.

"That's right, he's a true gentleman—never one to hurt a young girl's feelings" I nodded.

"Indeed, he's not the type of man who would ever let down a lady in need" Robin agreed.

"Oh come on, Robin, I…" Sanji trailed off, not knowing what to say as he watched how the three of us smiled and giggled at him.

"Then it's settled, be good, Chimney—do whatever Sanji says, okay?" Nami smiled.

"Okay" Chimney nodded.

"Bye" Robin and I waved as the three of us walked away from the two and went back to our shopping. I don't know how much time had passed after that before the three of us started to now window shop, now peering inside one of the stores close by and looking at all they had out on display.

"That necklace looks nice" I whistled, pointing at the piece of jewelry on display as Nami and Robin hummed in agreement.

"Hey, Sanji" Nami greeted when she spotted the blond, only to quickly frown when he just simply continued to walk on by us—not saying a word of greeting at all. "That's strange, believe it or not, I don't think he noticed us" she said.

"That is strange" Robin agreed.

"I wonder what's bothering him" I said as I looked at his retreating figure, worried for just a moment as it was quite strange to see the blond just straight up ignore us and not acknowledge either one of us—especially Nami, who he seemed to fawn over the most.

"Maybe he's playing some kind of game with Chimney and Gonbe" Nami suggested as Robin and I only shrugged, neither one of us all that confident in her suggestion but not really having enough of a suggestion of our own to object to the idea.

-Later-

"And dinner is served" Sanji smiled as we were now gathered around the table. I couldn't help but smile as I watched how stars seemed to twinkle in Luffy and Chopper's eyes as they ate the food that Sanji sat out on the table in front of us.

"This is even more delicious than usual!" Luffy praised.

"This is amazing!" Chopper happily chirped.

"I'll say" Nami agreed.

"Delicious" Robin smiled.

"Like always, you did a wonderful job, Sanji" I complimented.

"Man, this is super tasty! Hey, Sanji" Luffy said.

"Yeah?" the blond asked.

"Thank you so much, this food is incredible!" Luffy brightly smiled.

"Thank you, Sanji!" Chopper thanked as well, deciding to show his gratitude just like Luffy.

"So, who wants seconds?" Sanji asked

"Me! Fill her up, eyebrows" Zoro said as he held his bowl up.

"You can get more food your damn self!" Sanji snapped.

"Fine" Zoro said before he leaned over to me and stole a bit of my food.

"Don't take Skylar's food, jerk!" the blond snapped, growing even angrier with the swordsman.

"Over here!" Luffy suddenly exclaimed as he held his plate up.

"Me too!" Chopper nodded.

"Count me in" Nami said.

"I'd like more as well" Robin nodded.

"I need some more also because of a certain someone" I grumbled before smiling a little as a kiss was delivered to my cheek.

"Coming right up" Sanji said.

-Later-

"So, Usopp's really going to come back?" Luffy asked after hearing what Sanji told us once dinner had passed and we all had settled down for the night.

"Uh-huh, I saw him on the coast—he was practicing his big return speech" Sanji nodded.

"That's great news!" Luffy smiled. "Man, I was so worried—okay, let's go get him right now!" he eagerly ordered which caused Chopper to cheer.

"Well, that's Usopp for you, should have known" Nami softly smiled.

"It's good to know he wants to come back" I said, pleased to know that he still wanted to be our friend and be on the crew despite everything that's happened.

"We're going to get our crew back!" Luffy sang as he, Chopper, and Nami began to make their way over to the door.

"All of you, hold on a second" Zoro spoke up before the rubber man could even think about opening the door.

"Hm?" the three hummed.

"I understand that you want to see him again, but I won't allow you to bring him back here" Zoro said which caused me to frown.

"Huh? Why now?" Luffy asked as he tilted his head in confusion.

"You can't kiss his ass and tell him you're happy to see him again, you know that" Zoro crossed his arms.

"Zoro?" Luffy questioned.

"Until he bows his head and apologizes for what he did, he can't come back" the swordsman huffed.

"Zoro! You big jerk!" Chopper snapped, now huffing and puffing as he jumped up and down—shouting out insults at the swordsman.

"Hey, I don't know what your problem is, but—"

"Shut up!" Zoro cut Nami off when she started to walk towards him which caused her to flinch as she came to a halt and drew back just a little. "It doesn't matter what you two were thinking when you started arguing and it doesn't matter who was wrong and who was right either" the swordsman said, pulling out one of his swords from his side as he advanced towards Luffy. "When two men agree to have a duel with each other—no matter what the outcome is—they have to accept it, and after he lost that duel, he left on his own accord. You understand, don't you? He may be an idiot, but this guy is still our captain" he said, tapping the hilt of his sword against Luffy's skull before harshly grabbing his cheek and stretching it.

"We're better off without a crew member that doesn't respect their leader when things get rough—a crew with no respect and a captain that doesn't demand it are destined to fall apart quickly" the swordsman told us. No one really had any argument against what he said, all of us either looking on or averting our eyes as if we didn't want to admit he was right. "Listen, I don't mind if you're easy-going most of the time, but right now, you got to man up! You can't let people walk all over you because if you do that, it's going to be me who leaves this crew!" he threatened.

"Don't say such idiotic things!" I suddenly snapped upon hearing his words. "Everything else I can agree with, but a threat like that is going too far!" I scowled.

"Yeah, you're making this more complicated than it needs to be" Nami frowned as Zoro let go of Luffy's face and sent the rubber man stumbling back.

"Don't get me wrong, it's fine if he joins the crew again and it's fine if you want him back" Zoro said. "But if he doesn't apologize for what he did, and pretends like nothing ever happen between the two of you, then I won't forgive him and I won't stand for it. In other words, we'll leave the island without him" he said which caused collective gasps to sound out throughout the room.

"Wait, Zoro—I agree that Usopp's the one at fault, not Luffy, but we can settle that with him after he joins up with us again" Nami said before going silent as the sound of one of Zoro's swords being drawn was heard, all of us now watching as he dug it into the ground.

"So the fact that he left our crew means nothing?! He can come and go as he pleases?!" Zoro growled.

"No, but I…" Nami trailed off.

"Nami, I hate to admit it" Sanji sighed. "But just this once, at least, I have to agree with what he's saying" he admitted.

"It sounds harsh, but the reality of the situation is, we're not children—these are adult problems that need to be handled in a reasonable manner, even if the solutions aren't so simple and sweet" I sighed.

"If he pulls a pointless stunt like this on a whim, then how are we supposed to trust him moving forward?" Zoro asked as he removed his sword from the floor. "It's simple, if the first thing that comes out of Usopp's mouth is an apology, then we're good—but if he tries to make some excuse, then he's no longer welcome here. We're not just pretending to be pirates, this isn't a game" he said as he sheathed his sword.

"You're right, we've already gone our separate ways before—there's still a few days until they finish with the ship, we can wait that long, it's all up to him" Luffy said, sitting down as a tense silence now settled in the air.

-A Few Days Later-

"It's finally set, look, the Log Pose is pointing to the next island" Nami said as she held the Log Pose out for all of us to see.

"That's good" I stretched my arms upwards which caused my white take top with a heart in the middle to rise a bit and my ripped, dark blue jean shorts to sag a little—the black studded bracelet I wore jiggled around a bit as I lowered my arms behind my head and stretched out my legs, leaning back in my seat.

"All that's left is to get our ship, this is going to be fun" Luffy grinned as he did a handstand and clapped his feet together, laughing the moment he heard me whistle in amazement at his trick.

"I can't wait to see the ship myself, but Franky said no peeking until he's finished" Nami said as I chuckled, watching how Zoro pushed Chopper back with his foot so that the reindeer couldn't leave early and sneak a peek at our new ship.

"By the way, guys, you know where that Log Pose is pointing? Might come as a big surprise as it is already" Kokoro said.

"Actually, I don't have a clue" Nami admitted as she stared down at the Log Pose. "Come to think of it, it kind of looks like it's pointing down a bit" she frowned a little as she noted how the needled was pointing downwards.

"You bet it is because where it's pointing is on the bottom of the ocean floor!" Kokoro laughed. "It's called Fishman Island" she grinned.
