-Chapter Two Hundred and Fifty-Six-

"We'll take any punishment you throw at us!" Zambai shouted. "We aren't smart like you, but we thought long and hard about this and even we know it's the only way!" he cried.

"Only way, huh?" Franky questioned. "You guys aren't making any sense to me—you think I'm better off without my only pair of briefs? Huh? Think I'll be better off with a bunch of pirates? Well, I don't care what you think!" he frowned.

"This is my life and I decide what's best for me—I'm the boss, dammit! Do you think I'd be happy living the life my underlings planned for me?! You say you thought long and hard, huh?! If you really thought about this, you wouldn't have done it in the first place!" he snapped.

"I…I know we're a pain, but…is it wrong for us to worry about you...even a little?" Zambai asked. "You turned our lives around, we just want what's best for you—we just want our Big Bro to be happy! Can't you see?!" he asked which caused the cyborg to slide even further back as he fell on his back as if just that emotional sentiment was just as powerful as any other hit to knock the breath right out of him.

"Ain't that sweet" Kokoro smiled.

"Dammit, you guys!" Franky cried before grabbing a hold of his junk and crying out in pain.

"Big Bro!" Kiwi and Mozu cried out, looking about ready to rush to his side before Kokoro stopped them.

"Hey! Stop—you're going too far! Come on, he's going to be a woman!" Luffy snapped.

"Luffy, I don't think that's physically possible" I sweat dropped.

"Can't you hear him crying?!" Chopper frowned.

"She'll tear them off!" Mozu gasped.

"She's going to crush them to bits!" Kiwi frowned.

"Like little red grapes!" the two cried out.

"Ah! I thought they were tangerines?!" Franky wailed. "Dammit, Robin, stop it! You'll pay for this!" he cried.

"She'll tear them off!" Mozu frowned.

"She's going to crush them to bits!" Kiwi exclaimed.

"Like a little apple!" the two cried out.

"That's more like it!" Franky cried. "It hurts so much! I can't stop crying!" he sobbed.

"Robin—" Luffy stopped when he noticed that the raven-haired woman wasn't really doing anything, she wasn't even looking at the cyborg that was still continuing to roll around in pain and acting as if she was still hurting him. "Wait, you're not doing anything?" the captain frowned in confusion.

"I only did it one time" Robin admitted. "He's just a big baby—how convenient, now he has an excuse to cry all he wants" she smiled.

"Huh?" Chopper questioned.

"He's faking it?" Nami questioned as we looked towards the sobbing man.

"I see, got to keep up that tough guy act" I chuckled, realizing that the cyborg was too embarrassed to admit that his tears were caused by what everyone was saying to him and not because Robin was still crushing his balls.

"It hurts so much! I can't stop crying!" Franky wailed, covering his eyes as he started to choke out another sob. "It's hurts! Ow, the pain! Still can't stop crying!" he hiccuped.

"Big Bro!" the Franky Family cried.

"I feel your pain, Bro!" Zambai cried.

"You ain't got a clue how this feels!" Franky snapped.

"Big Bro!" Kiwi and Mozu sobbed.

"Big Bro! Big Bro!" the Franky Family chanted as they all continued to cry right alongside the man.

"You guys, are you…are you really going to be okay without me?" Franky shakily asked.

"You taught us how to work together—we'll make you proud for as long as we live! Water Seven will never forget your name!" Zambai shouted.

"Yeah, we'll be fine!" one of the members nodded.

"Don't cry, Bro!"

"We love you!"

"No matter how far away you are, you'll always be our boss and you'll always be our Bro!" Zambai proclaimed.

"That's right!" the Franky Family cried.

"I can't stop!" Franky wailed.

"Luffy!" Zoro and Sanji suddenly shouted as they came running towards the ship, having finally now caught up with everyone.

"Hey, what's up?" Luffy asked, straightening his back when he heard the distress in the two's voice.

"We got bad news, captain!" Sanji frowned.

"That stupid grandpa of yours came back, Luffy!" Zoro grounded out which caused my eyes to widen. "He's got a whole bunch of Marines on the other side of the island getting ready to hunt us down and take us out!" he shouted.

"Huh? Why? I thought he said he was leaving" Luffy frowned.

"Looks like he lied, doesn't surprise me..." I bitterly grumbled.

"We don't have time to figure that out, just set sail!" Sanji ordered as he motioned for us to start getting ready to leave. "What the—dammit, Franky! Put your underwear on already, geez!" he snapped when he ran past the blue haired man whose lower half was still exposed.

"Catch!" Luffy threw Franky his underwear. "Well, come on, get on my ship! Captain's orders!" he smiled.

"Your ship already, huh? An amateur like you would probably sink her in less than a week, you got the finest vessel on the sea and no shipwright—that's a real pity" Franky grinned. "For the ship I mean—what do I say? You don't leave me much choice, I got to take care of my masterpiece after all, so set sail! I'm joining the crew!" he proclaimed.

"Yeah! We got us a shipwright!" Luffy cheered.

"Alright!" Chopper cheered alongside him.

"Well, it's about time" I smiled.

"Big Bro!" Kiwi and Mozu cried.

"Don't cry, don't cry, I know Straw Hat's going to take good care of him" Zambai sniffed as he tried his best to hold back his tears.

"Put on some pants!" Sanji snapped when he noticed that Franky was still naked, I only chuckled as I averted my gaze elsewhere, doing my best to avoid actually looking at the man until he made himself decent.

"Set sail!" Luffy ordered as the sails were dropped and we started to depart.

"The Franky Family will never die! When you come back, we'll be waiting for you!" Zambai shouted as he and the rest of the Franky Family waved bye to us.

"So that's it? We're leaving?" Nami questioned.

"It's all we can do" I muttered as my gaze became downcast and my smile dropped a little. "But do you really think it's for the best?" I quietly asked.

"Luffy!" Chopper whimpered.

"Last call, Straw Hat, are you sure? Seems like we're still missing someone" Franky said, quick to pick up on the fact that we really were still short one crew member.

"Nah, it's okay, we've waited long enough already and he never bothered to show up—we went over this back at Galley-La, everyone agreed on what to do" Luffy explained to Franky...though, he didn't look that much better than Nami, Chopper, and I as he nervously tapped his foot. Almost like he was holding himself back from stopping us from departing.

"I still don't like it, even if we did agree to it" I sighed, not even perking up when Zoro wrapped his arms around me and pressed gentle kisses to my cheek in some attempt to lift my mood.

"We waited for him all that time, but he never bothered to come, so I guess we have our answer" Luffy said, trying his best to keep his emotions in check.

"It's your call" Franky shrugged.

"He'll be fine, it's not like he quit being a pirate—it's a big world out ther" Luffy assured us all. "But I'm sure we'll run into him again someday" he said, trying to see the bright side of things as Zoro tightened his hold on me. "Even if he isn't one of us anymore" the rubber man nervously laughed.

"Usopp, come on!" Chopper whimpered as he looked back out towards the shoreline.

"Luffy, can't we wait a little bit longer?" Nami asked. "We're not in a rush just yet, right? Hey, Luffy" she said when the captain didn't respond right away.

"I agree with Nami, it wouldn't hurt to stay just a bit longer—please, captain" I pleaded before quickly clutching onto Zoro's arms as the ship violently rocked.

"What was that?!" Nami worriedly asked.

"We're already under attack" I frowned.

"Dammit! Bad news, the Marines are here!" Franky scowled the moment he spotted the Marine ships that were beginning to sail towards us.

"Grandpa?" Luffy questioned.

"Hey, Luffy, can you hear me?" Garp asked. "This is your grandpa speaking—don't try to ignore me!" he snapped, quick to make it clear that he didn't want his grandson ignoring what he had to say.

"Yeah, I hear you, what's the deal?! What are you doing coming back here?!" Luffy frowned. "You said you were going to leave us alone!" he huffed.

"Yeah, well I say a lot of things" Garp sighed. "The truth of the matter is, I'm sending you to a watery grave" he admitted.

"What?" Luffy's eyes widened, shocked that his own grandfather would say such a thing to him.

"Some grandfather he is" I scoffed.

"I know this isn't much consolation, for what it's worth, I'll fight you all on my own" Garp said as if that sounded any better.

"What's he trying to do?" Sanji frowned.

"Is that a cannonball in his hands?" I asked, squinting my eyes to get a better look before flinching as the Vice Admiral sudden threw the cannonball towards us, causing it to splash into the water and explode which violently rocked the ship once more.

"He just threw that with his bare hands!" Sanji gaped.

"That blew faster than any cannonball I've seen, and he pitched it like a baseball!" Zoro exclaimed.

"Listen up, we got to get out of here right now!" Nami ordered. "If we don't, he's going to wreck our brand-new ship!" she shouted.

"This is bad, looks like there's plenty more where that came from!" Franky pointed out when he noticed that the old man was getting ready to throw another cannonball.

"Full speed ahead! Everyone, protect the ship from those cannonballs!" Luffy ordered.

"Got it!" Zoro nodded.

"He's here" Chopper suddenly said as his nose twitched. "Usopp came back after all, you hear that, guys?! Usopp's right over there!" he brightly smiled as he rushed over to the ship's railing.

"Are you sure?" Robin and I asked, watching as the reindeer excitedly nodded his head. I hesitantly peered over towards Scrap Island and was quick to spot the long-nosed pirate, silently did I watch as he called out to us...but the smile that had been steadily growing on my face disappeared as I noted that he wasn't saying the words that needed to be said.

"Usopp's here, Luffy! It's not too late!" Chopper exclaimed.

"Everyone, protect the ship!" Luffy ordered once more, ignoring the reindeer as he kept his back turned to the man. I only watched as Usopp rushed towards the shoreline of Scrap Island, frantically waving his arms around as everyone else continued to defend the ship. Quickly did I averted my eyes and watched how Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro deflected the cannonballs coming our way—each of them keeping their backs turned to the sharpshooter and not acknowledging his presence.

"Luffy, Usopp's calling for us!" Chopper frowned.

"I can't hear him" Luffy finally said, his voice strained as he spoke.

"Zoro?" Chopper questioned.

"I don't hear a thing" Zoro shook his head.

"You liar—he's right there!" Chopper snapped before turning his attention towards me as I bit my lower lip when I saw the desperate look in his eyes. "Skylar?" he practically sounded as if he was begging for me to take his side.

"N...no, if they say they can't hear anything, then they can't" I shook my head. "You know the rules...until he says those words, they're not going to acknowledge him" I quietly whispered as I looked down.

"I'm sorry!" it was Usopp's scream that made us all stop in our tracks. "I'm too stubborn, I know—I take back every word I said!" he sobbed, falling to his knees and he began to cry.

"That's more like it" Zoro grinned.

"I know I'm being pathetic, I know I said I quit, but will you let me take it back?! Please!" Usopp sobbed. "I'm begging you, you got to forgive me! If I'm not with you, there's no point—don't leave me alone! I need you guys!" he begged. "I'll do anything! Please, let me join the crew—just one more time!" a wide smile tugged at my lips as I watched Luffy suddenly stretch his arm towards the long-nosed pirate.

"Hurry up! Grab on already!" the captain cried, sobbing as he pulled our sharpshooter back towards us before we could get too far away.

"You better not drop him" Zoro said as Sanji started to cry.

"We're all finally back together!" I brightened as I clapped my hands together before wiping at the tears that had welled up in my eyes.

"Pretty lame, you two, pull it together" Nami sniffed as a laugh bubbled past my lips the minute Luffy and Usopp bumped head with one another—the two dropping to the floor in a daze as they both started laughing and crying at the same time.

"Alright! The gangs all here, we're going to get away from these stupid cannonballs and head to the New World—let's go!" Luffy cheered.

"Yeah!" we all cheered back.

"Hurry up! I said throw the sails!" Franky ordered as the sails were brought up.
