-Chapter Two Hundred and Sixty-Six-

"Interesting, like Brook said, the loud noise we heard earlier was that gate from over there closing shut" Robin said. "So it's not that we ran into it, but we were eaten by the mouth" she clarified.

"It ate us?" Luffy questioned.

"The fog makes it difficult to tell, but I imagine that the walls we see here are extended all the way around the island in a circle" Robin said as she motioned towards the towering walls on either side of the gate. "That means that we were intentionally pulled in and now that the gate is closed, we're trapped inside" she explained.

"I see, so that's why the skeleton told us to run away, it's because we're stuck inside some kind of trap" Usopp nodded.

"Wait, then that would mean that the people here are capturing sailors on purpose, right? But why?" Nami frowned.

"Captain sure is excited" I hummed, watching as Luffy quickly rushed into the kitchen and slammed the door shut behind him—the sounds of him rummaging inside loud and clear.

"If this is a moving island then that means we're technically still out at sea, guess we won't be able to anchor down here" Franky said.

"Hold on, that's the last thing we want to do! We got to get out of this place right now!" Usopp snapped.

"Bad news you guy, I think I have "I can't go on that island" sickness" Nami whimpered, pulling the same kind of stunt that I would expect Usopp to pull.

"Me too, I'm real sick!" Chopper quickly nodded just as Luffy came bursting back out, holding a butterfly net.

"No problem, you two watch the ship" he grinned.

"And you got "stupid adventure" sickness again!" Usopp snapped which caused me to snicker. "Come to your senses, come on! Look at that!" he pointed towards one of the buildings on the island. "That creepy looking building is a bonafide creepy, haunted mansion if I've ever seen one and I'm not talking about the fun kind either!" he angrily ranted.

"Well, I guess you could say I have the same sickness as Luffy because all I'm seeing is a fun adventure" I grinned.

"What are you talking about?! That's the kind of place where you never make it out alive!" Usopp cried out.

"Pfft! Of course, that's what you think" I said with the dismissive wave of my hand.

"You worry too much, I'm not going there to pick a fight" Luffy assured the sharpshooter. "I promise, I'll be careful—I just want to catch that ghost and keep it as a pet" he brightly smiled.

"See, Luffy just has harmless intentions" I giggled.

"You both are going to get us killed!" Usopp cried.

"Either way, Brook's a part of our crew now, so I have to bring him back" Luffy said. "Sanji, get me a pirate lunch box!" he ordered.

"He's a part of our crew?" Usopp questioned. "Hey, I did not vote for that! If we have a living skeleton wandering the ship, I won't be able to sleep at night!" he snapped.

"That's your problem" I smiled.

"Here, I got the lunch boxes" Robin said.

"Luffy, Franky, it's up to you two—take care of Robin and Skylar while I watch the boat" Sanji said.

"Nothing gets my cola pumping like an adventure on a crazy new island!" Franky boasted, looking eager to start exploring this new island.

"Robin? Skylar? You guys aren't seriously going with them, are you?" Nami asked.

"It does sound exciting" Robin smiled.

"This place is really fascinating, I'm curious to know what kinds of creatures and people live on it as well as what its habitat looks like" I admitted as I took another look around the island, just soaking in and enjoying the spooky atmosphere it was giving off.

"Great! Now listen up, obviously we're going to use a smaller boat to pull us close to the shore, the Soldier Dock System has some pretty damn super features for that" Franky said. "I've been keeping this one a surprise, it's Channel Two" he said.

"What's that?" we asked.

"Good question" Franky grinned. "The system has six channels—two of them are zero then there's one, two, three, and four" he explained. "Naturally, each dock has its own set of capabilities" he said.

"We know the zeros are for paddling and we've already seen one and three, but…" Nami trailed off as she, Usopp, and Chopper curiously followed close behind Franky and down below the deck to see what Channel Two was.

"Soldier Dock System: Channel Two, launch!" Franky grinned as he proudly prepared to show off to all of us what Channel Two is.

"I can't wait to see what it is" Luffy excitedly grinned as he began to bounce in place.

"A paddle ship shopping boat, not bad? Huh? I call it Mini Merry Two" Franky said as I felt a smile spread across my lips upon seeing the design of the boat that Nami, Usopp, and Chopper came riding out in. It looked just like Merry did.

"It's really Merry! Our Merry's been reborn as a landing craft!" Usopp gasped as he took in the design of the boat.

"She may be tiny, but I'm happy to ride her again!" Chopper brightened.

"They're really having fun out there" I happily smiled as I watched the three ride around, all of them happily chatting and gushing over the small boat.

"With a ship like that, I can go shopping for food in style anytime I want" Sanji remarked.

"Hurry up and let me ride it! Hurry up and let me ride it!" Luffy happily shouted as he impatiently began to jump up and down, wishing for the three to hurry up and return to the ship so that he could have a chance to ride Mini Merry.

"Got to say, that was pretty thoughtful of you" Zoro said.

"Hold your horses, pal, we'll have our chance to take her for a ride soon enough" Franky assured Luffy. "For now, why don't we let those three have a little fun" he smiled.

"So, is that all the dock stuff or what?" Luffy curiously asked.

"Including Channel One and Three I showed you before, now you've seen it all" Franky said. "Channel Zero, support paddles. Channel One, a single-seat wave, the White Hobby Horse. Channel Three, a triple seater scouter submarine, the Shark Submarine Three, and then Channel Two a four-person shopping boat, the Mini Merry Two" he listed. "For now, at least, that is all the features of the Soldier Dock System—if you think of the Sunny as our mother then these guys are all the little soldiers that help her out."

"Yeah, I love it! You're a genius, Franky!" Luffy praised. "Keep it up, good boy! Good! Good! Good!" he repeated as he proudly patted the cyborg's back.

"Hell ya!" Franky grinned. "What can I say? I guess I'm extra awesome this week! Super!" he struck his normal pose as usual which almost knocked Luffy over in the process.

"Nami?!" Sanji suddenly questioned the moment we heard the ginger haired woman scream from far away. "Nami, what's wrong?! You're not in trouble, are you?!" he shouted, receiving no response.

"Can't see a damn thing out there" Zoro frowned. "It's just fog and more fog" he noted when he saw just how thick the fog was that it was nearly impossible to tell where the three were.

"Oh, I hope they're alright" I worriedly frowned as I squinted my eyes in an attempt to locate where the Mini Merry was, they surely couldn't have gone too far.

"It sounded like it came from the island" Robin said.

"No fair! You got to come back so I can ride the Mini Merry too, stop hogging all the fun!" Luffy snapped.

"That's all you're worried about? What about Nami?!" Sanji frowned.

"Chopper and Usopp are out there too, you know, just saying" Franky sweat dropped when he realized that the blond had completely disregarded the two that were with Nami.

"I wonder, perhaps they fell victim to a curse from that ghost" Robin pondered aloud.

"Come on, that's not funny" Zoro said.

"What? You scared that she's right and there is a curse?" I teasingly asked

"No" he scoffed before we all finally became aware of a strange sound.

"What's that?" Sanji asked.

"That's crazy, the anchor just dropped on its own" Luffy said the minute the anchor suddenly splashed into the water.

"I just built it, so there's no way that the gears got loose" Franky frowned.

"Well, either way, pull it up—we can't have the ship lose its balance now" Zoro said just as the hatch suddenly flew open.

"That's weird, did somebody touch the hatch?" Franky asked.

"Spooky" I whistled.

"No, we were right here the whole time" Sanji said.

"Uh...Luffy?" I questioned when I saw that the rubber man's cheeks appeared to be stretching out as if someone was pulling on them.

"Hey, now is not the time for this crap! Could you take things seriously for once?!" Sanji irritably snapped.

"How is he doing that without touching his face?" I asked.

"Wait, it's not me, I…I swear I'm not doing this!" Luffy exclaimed as his cheeks finally smacked back into place which knocked him off balance. Pretty soon after, one of Zoro's swords was suddenly removed from its sheath, floating high up in the air before it then swung itself down towards the rubber man.

"Look out!" Franky shouted as he kicked the rubber man out of the way. "You nuts?! What are you trying to pull here?!" he snapped at the swordsman.

"No—I just...it just moved on its own!" Zoro argued, baffled by what had just happened.

"This is strange" Sanji muttered.

"I got a hunch we're not alone here" Franky said as my ears suddenly perked up to the sound of animalistic growling.

"Then there's an enemy on the ship" Zoro said as he picked up his sword and put it back in its sheath.

"So, you think it's a ghost doing this stuff, or is it someone with a Devil Fruit power?" Franky asked as everyone now became on high alert and was looking around the ship for any signs of an intruder.

"Who or whatever it is, at least we know they're close" Luffy said.

"Just now, I heard what sounded like some sort of beast growling" Robin said.

"Oh, you heard it too then?" I questioned, watching as she nodded. "It was pretty animalistic, made me think of a lion" I said.

"A beast? Lion?" Franky asked.

"Right now, I'm more concerned about Nami, you guys take care of the boat" Sanji said as he jumped over the ship's railing.

"What are you going to do?" Zoro asked.

"I'm going to swim over to the island and rescue her, of course" Sanji said before he was suddenly slammed into the side of the ship.

"Oh, ow" I winced.

"Whoa! That was lame!" Luffy, Zoro, and Franky exclaimed.

"Sanji, I didn't know you could fly!" Luffy gaped the minute the blond suddenly started to float in the air.

"He can't, can he?" Franky asked.

"He hasn't done it before, so I'm going to say no" I said, before wincing once again as the blond was suddenly spun around and then harshly thrown back onto the deck of the ship.

"Hey, you…uh…having problems?" Zoro asked.

"Shut up, dammit! You saw what happened to me!" Sanji embarrassingly snapped.

"Whatever it is, it wants to keep us on the ship" Franky said.

"Can't see this bastard at all, it can take us out one by one and we couldn't do a damn thing about it" Zoro frowned.

"Skylar, what's wrong?" Sanji worriedly asked the moment I released a loud squeal upon feeling a sudden and harsh squeeze delivered to my ass. It was as if the person had harshly slapped their hand down on my bottom before roughly squeezing as much as they could of the flesh that they grabbed.

"Now's not the time!" I embarrassingly cried out as I struck the back of Zoro's head, my cheeks flushed with embarrassment as I knew it had to have been him to do such a thing. Who else has been grabbing at me all day?

"Ow! What was that for?!" the swordsman glared as he rubbed the back of his head.

"You know what you did, pervert!" I snapped before crossing my arms as I turned away from him.

"What are you talking about?" Zoro asked in confusion. "Hey, don't ignore me! What did I do?!" he asked when he saw that I wasn't going to answer or look at him.

"What's going on, Robin?" Sanji asked which caught our attention as we looked over towards the raven-haired woman who looked as if she was being restrained.

"Something is grabbing me" Robin frowned as she attempted to use her Devil Fruit powers to sprout arms from her body and push back against the invisible force that was trying to hold her down.

"You bastard! Get your invisible hands off her!" Sanji growled ready to rush to Robin's aid, only to fall flat on his face instead as that same growling noise from before came back.

"It really does sound like some kind of animal" Luffy said, having heard the growling this time. "What is it now?" he asked the moment the ship started to tilt.

"Look, I don't know what's going on, but the waves are inside the wall—they're pushing us away from the island" Franky pointed out as the waves started to roughly throw the ship around.

"Hey, come on, I'm sorry for whatever I did" Zoro apologized, tightly wrapping his arms around me and burying his face into my neck as I clung onto his arms in an attempt to keep myself balanced.

"Apology accepted" I muttered the moment I felt him start to press soft kisses along the flesh of my neck while nuzzling his head even further into the crook of it.

"I got you, you okay?" Sanji asked as he caught Robin from falling over when she lost her balance the moment the thing that was trying to restrain her let go.

"I think so, it seems to be gone" she said.

"Quick, raise the anchor, if you think you can do it without falling on your face again" Zoro said as he removed his face from the crook of my neck and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"At least I'm not throwing swords!" Sanji snapped. "Usopp! Chopper! Say something!" he shouted out towards the direction we last remember seeing the Mini Merry heading in. "Crap, we're going to get separated from them!" he cursed when he didn't receive a response.

"Hey, Franky, you got to have some secret weapon for a time like this" Luffy said.

"Alright, I'll burst out a surprise hot tub" Franky sarcastically responded.

"Sounds like fun" Luffy grinned before realization hit him.

"What?! No!" he, Zoro, and Sanji snapped.

"We're drifting away—do something, stupid!" Zoro shouted, tightening his hold on me as the waves continued to harshly throw the ship around.

"You got any ideas, genius?" Sanji frowned. "The steering wheel won't move an inch!" he pointed out.
