I own nothing!

Once upon a time. (This is how it works right?) Once upon a time, there was a kingdom called Rosa. It was ruled by a powerful king and queen. They were well versed in magic. And had the ability to grant wishes. Lots of people gave the couple their wishes in the hopes that they will one day be granted.

But a small group of people didn't trust their rulers. For you see the power of wishes shouldn't be something you trust in with people. They should be something you strive to achieve yourselves, while turning to the stars for good luck. Also the citizens don't seem like themselves once they give up their wishes. The leaders of this group was another couple. One that had just given birth to a beautiful daughter. The queen and king eventually found out about this group and wanted to make sure that there would be no rebellion in their kingdom.

The king and queen led an army to the small town the rebels resided in. They lay waste to the people who reside in it. Whether they were part of the rebel forces or not. They didn't want to take any chances. The king and queen finally found the rebel leaders and did battle. It was a tough one, but in the end, the king and queen were victorious.

In the aftermath of the battle a faint crying was heard. The royal couple went to investigate and discovered the rebel's daughter still in her crib. The queen tried to approach the child only to find herself blocked by a powerful force field. This impressed the royals. They have been trying for a child themselves but so far wasn't successful. This child could be their answer. Plus, it would boost their reputation if they adopted a young girl who unfortunately lost her parents in a tragic accident caused by the pursuit of their wishes.

Once the baby calmed down and the force field dissipated, they took her home, naming her Asha. For the next eighteen years they raised her as their own. Teaching her in the ways of their magic. And introducing her to a prince they wanted her to marry. A boy from a nearby island kingdom named Sora, who wielded powerful magic in his own right.

She had everything she could ever want.

Almost.
