The Bony Brothers

Chapter 1: Skeletal Greetings

(XXX)

It was a regular Friday and classes were in session. It was the last day of school before the weekend came along, the time being just a bit after 2:30 PM, and soon the students of Aldara Junior High would leave for their regular weekly break.

"You guys are all 3rd years now. It's time to start thinking about your futures more seriously!" The voice would be coming from a regular classroom within said school, it came from the homeroom teacher that was announcing his student's futures. "I would hand out these future career forms, but…" He then threw the papers in the air while having a proud grin plastered on his face.

The whole class would begin to use their powers, showing off their abilities while raising their hands in cheers. I assume you ALL want to be heroes!" All the students would cheer and shout in glee while a few students in the room would remain sitting on their chairs for completely different reasons.

"Yes, you all have wonderful quirks! But you know that it's against the rules to use them in school!" The teacher would reprimand his students but still kept his amused grin on his face. "Sensei! Don't lump me in with these losers!" A loud boy within the group of students yelled out. He was one of the students who did not cheer but he had a cocky and prideful toothy grin as he had both of his feet comfortably on top of his desk.

"As if I had anything like their crappy quirks. Heheh." This student was named Katsuki Bakugou, a 14-year-old kid who was full of himself. He had spiky ash-blonde hair and eyebrows furrowed into a permanent scowl. "Get over yourself Katsuki!" The classroom would yell out to Bakugou in annoyance. "SHUT UP! Extras should act like extras!" Katsuki retorted back at them while keeping a huge smirk on his face, not seeing the rest of his classmates as a threat.

"Ah, Bakugou… You, of course, must be aiming for Yuuei High School." The teacher would point out while reading the papers in his hand, letting everyone know that it is indeed Bakugou's report. The idea that Bakugou, the school bully, was aiming to go to one of the best schools in perhaps the whole world shook them. "That national school?! The cutoff score this year is 79, right?! I hear they barely accepted anyone!" The students would speak out, their expressions filled with shock but also envy, and annoyance towards their much better classmate.

"Ah, the stupid chattering of extras! I ACED the mock exam! I'm the only one from this stupid school with the stuff for Yuuei!" Bakugou yelled out in clear pride while hopping on top of his desk. "I'll even surpass ALL MIGHT and become the best hero out there! Not to mention I'll be one of the richest people in the world!" He preached with pride and quite literally self-obsession leaking from his voice.

"You're also going for Yuuei, aren't you, Izuku Midoriya?" The teacher pointed out, not noticing the problem he just placed the said student in, or maybe he just did not care. Said student was leaning onto the desk while hiding his head with his arms, not wanting attention to be placed on him, but sadly the universe was not so kind to this boy.

Said boy was indeed Izuku Midoriya, a scrawny 14-year-old kid, with curly green and black hair, and freckles on his cheeks. Every student turned their head to face the meekling boy who was trying harder to hide himself. They all began to laugh at the sheer thought of this specific student ever getting into the most prestigious school in the world. "HA HA HA HA HA! Huh?! Midoriya?! No way! Good grades alone can't get you into the hero program!" The students would put in some comments directed at the shy boy. Katsuki did not look happy at the thought at all.

"Th-that's not necessarily true! Sure, there's no precedent, but…" Izuku quickly stood to defend himself from the class while his lips quivered. A loud 'BOOM' would then be heard as Katsuki used his quirk to blow up Izuku's desk, the explosion sending Izuku flying from his chair "Whoa!" The boy yelled out as he fell on the floor in confusion before it turned into fear he looked up to find Katsuki glaring down at him with his palms smoking.

"Come on, DEKU!" His scowl turned into a large vicious grin as if staring down at prey. "Forget the crappy quirks. You're totally quirkless! And you think you can rub shoulders with me?!" He spat out those words with venom, his glare only growing meaner. "Wa… wait, no, Kacchan.." Izuku would try to crawl away from the explosive boy in fear.

In this world, 80 percent of the world's population consists of superhumans with special and unique abilities and these abilities were named 'Quirks'. The rest of the 20 percent were regular people with no power of their own, those were called 'Quirkless'. One of these powerless individuals would be the meek boy named Izuku Midoriya.

A boy who grew up inspired by heroes and the hopes and dreams to grow up and become a great hero who saves everyone with a smile, just like his favorite hero, the number one hero in Japan and debatably the world, All Might. At The age of 5, usually, all kids show signs of their quirks appearing, but Izuku at a young age never showed any signs and when brought to the quirk doctor, he was deemed quirkless.

Another boy, for example; Katsuki Bakugou, someone who was once Izuku's friend got his quirk; Explosion, basically he sweats nitroglycerin-like sweat from his hands and they explode at his command. It's a very flashy and powerful ability, he was consumed by the power he received and all the praises he got from others and became a very self-centered individual.

Izuku on the other hand, was bullied by his peers for being weaker, and one of those peers would include Katsuki. He was put down for his powerlessness but deep in his soul he still was determined, even if it was a bleak notion, he still wanted to become a hero.

"I wasn't… saying I could compete with you! Not at all! I mean it." He tried to back away from the explosive teen and soon bonked his head against the wall at the end of the classroom. "It's just… been my dream. Since I was little, and well… There's no harm in trying…" He did his best to defend himself while lowering his head. "TRY?! Try what?! The entrance exam?! You're taking the entrance exam just to 'try'?!" The explosive teen yelled out in annoyance while the smoke in his palms grew larger.

The class full of students snickered and chuckled at the greenette. "What can you even do?!" The ash-blonde boy finished as he glared down at the other boy who only lowered his head further as he tried his best not to cry. No one noticed a silver-haired boy who was just walking out in the hallways towards the bathroom stopping in front of their class door and watching the whole scene play out. A permanent grin on his face but his eyes told a different story, he felt pity towards the greenette.

It was 2:56 PM in Downtown Japan. It was bustling with noise as people did their usual activities at this hour: probably making their way home or maybe going shopping. Whatever they were doing, it was pretty much a regular thing in the city. Some televisions inside an electronics store right behind a window would be playing the news that happened this morning.

Something about a giant villain who stole a purse and then began to rampage once he was caught. He was taken down by both Kamui Woods, a new young 'Pro Hero' making his debut, and Mount Lady, a starring new heroine. There were also other heroes at the scene, mostly there for crowd control, heroes like; The Strongarm Hero: Death Arms and The Firefighter Hero: Backdraft. People stood in front of the TV to watch it play the news.

Suddenly someone was seen sprinting, their upper body a sort of green mud-like mess, a large mouth with crooked teeth was bare for anyone to see while huge beady eyes were glaring just above its mouth. Loads of cash would be seen hanging out from its mucus-like body, some of that money falling off as he ran as fast as he could.

Not trying to say he was a robber from his appearance because judging a book by its cover is wrong, but this guy was obviously up to no good. People up ahead of the villain would either be shoved to the side to make room or would move on their own so they wouldn't get into any trouble with the sludge guy.

"THIEF! Someone stop him!" A man rushed out of a store to yell out, he was either the owner or a worker. The sludge villain continued to run. "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN! HAHAHA!" The villain yelled out with clear amusement, believing that he could get away. "Someone is bound to show up." A passerby said while watching the scene play out.

"This guy must've been inspired by the chaos this morning. Lots of people out there who just can't control their quirks, I guess." Another man said while sighing. A few citizens chuckled a bit not finding the robbery that threatening. A skinny lanky tall man would be seen behind the crowd, he was coughing a bit while holding a bag of groceries, he had messy yellow-blonde hair with two large antenna-like locks of hair in front of his very skinny face.

He noticed the robbery happening before him and began to walk closer into the crowd. No one noticed how his body morphed into a much larger and very muscular man. "There's no end to them." Another passerby sighed while chuckling. "Yes, There is." The large man suddenly spoke, his voice booming into the crowd. People turned around and were shocked at the sight of who was there.

"Why you ask? Cuz…" The muscle man paused for a second. The sludge villain would turn his head and his expression turned into that of fear as he recognized the bulking man. "I am Here!" The man's smile was large and proud, the smile of a great hero.

It was 3:02 PM, and all the students in the school were packing their bags and making their way out of the class. "Let's go to karaoke." One student would tell another. "I can't today!" The other student would reply. Students would chat with each other, clutter would fill the slowly emptying class. 'The incident this morning is all over the net!' Izuku Midoriya would think to himself while checking his phone.

He started to pack his things, picking up a journal from his desk, it read, 'Hero Analysis for my Future. Number 13.' 'I'd better get home and get my notes in order.' He thought to himself while whistling a tune, picking up the notebook was suddenly halted by another figure standing in front of him who yanked the journal from his hand. "Wha?!" Izuku yelped. "We ain't done here, Deku." Katsuki Bakugou stood there, glaring down at the quirkless greenette.

"What's that, Katsuki?" One of his 'friends' asked. Katsuki lifted the journal, showing the front page to his goons. "'For my future'? Seriously?! This guy, Midoriya…" Another of Katsuki's minions spoke up."C-come on. Give it back!" Izuku pleaded to the bomber boy. The remaining students still in the class all walked out of the room not wanting to get in trouble with the school bully.

One of those students accidentally bumped into another student walking down the hall. "Oh, s-sorry about that!" The clumsy student apologized awkwardly to the other student with weird eyes. "don't worry about it, buddy." The grinning student from before replied.

As the awkward student hurried along the hallway to make their way out, the smiling boy glanced over towards the classroom and saw the same greenette getting picked on by the ash-blonde and his lackeys. He narrowed his eyes while his smile faltered just a bit, enough to still consider it a smile.

"ARE YOU COMING, BROTHER?" A loud yet exuberant voice called out to the grinning boy. "i'll catch up with ya later, bro." The grinning boy replied as he kept his gaze towards the room. "OKAY. DON'T BOONDOGGLE!" The loud voice said as he walked away, leaving the other boy watching the scene within the class continue.

Katsuki stared at the quirkless boy for a few more seconds before palming both sides of the notebook and suddenly a 'BOOM' could be heard as he used his quirk to blow it up. "HUH?! W-why…?!" The greenette protested, he was horrified and confused as to what Katsuki had done. "Hm." The ash-blonde grunted, his eyes glaring at the dejected boy before he threw the remains of the notebook out the window, shocking Izuku even more.

"The best heroes out there, well… They showed signs of greatness even as students. I'll be the first and only hero from this crappy public middle school! The first to win the honor of becoming a student at Yuuei High. Guess I'm just a perfectionist." Katsuki rambled on with pride all over his tone. 'So vain…' one of his 'friends' thought to himself as he watched.

"In other words… Don't you dare get into Yuuei, Nerd!" The bomber said with a gentle tone while his smoking hand would be placed on top of Izuku's shoulder patting him slowly. Izuku was filled with fear and despondency. He just stared at the floor trembling while Katsuki walked past him towards the front door, his lackeys following behind.

One of the minions felt pity towards Izuku. "Jeez… Typical. C'mon, say something…" The minion would voice. "He can't say anything." The explosive teen stated. "He's so lame. Even as a third year… He still can't face reality." Katsuki remarked.

"You wanna be a hero so bad? I've got a time-saving idea for you." Katsuki said as he glanced back to the greenette. "If you think you'll have a quirk in your next life… go take a swan dive off the roof!" The explosive teen uttered with venom in his tone. That pissed Izuku off. The greenette quickly turned his head to face Katsuki with a glare, but once their eyes met, he saw Bakugou glaring back with a ferocious smirk. His hand raised next to his face as tiny yet fierce explosions would occur on his palm, a clear sign of a threat.

"Yeah? What?" The bomber asked, just itching for the greenette to do anything so he could have the excuse to teach him his place. The quirkless boy stood there for a few more minutes, watching the bullies walk out of the classroom. They snickered and laughed while making their way through the halls of the school, not noticing the figure right next to the open door who had been listening in on their conversation, his grin still plastered on his face but he did not seem very pleased.

Midoirya slowly picked up his bags and walked out of the school. The green-haired boy turned a corner right outside the school's main door and walked towards an alleyway, there he saw a large concrete tank filled with water and just there floating on top of the water was the torn notebook. He walked over to it with sorrowful steps. Some fish inside the tank were munching on the burned journal.

He leaned over and grabbed the book before doing his best to dry it off. "That's not food, stupid… It's my notebook… Idiot…" Izuku said in a hushed voice. 'Idiot! If I really jumped, you'd be charged with bullying me into suicide! Think before you speak!' He thought to himself, announcing it in his head as if he were saying the words to the bomber himself. "Idiot..!" He had a pensive expression while trying hard not to vocalize his thoughts out loud.

Izuku was making his way home, his mind drifting to thoughts about the past, memories about how he was just before getting his quirk evaluation. How his dream slowly began to crumble from the comments from other people and the disheartening words of his mother.

She felt pity towards him, all she could say was how sorry she was for him. Those were not the words he wanted to hear at all, especially not from her. 'That was when I decided. I decided not to care what anyone says!' He announced in his head while bringing his chin up in an expression filled with sorrow and a slight show of determination. 'To keep my chin up and keep moving forward!' He finished as he brought a fist up to the air.

He walked through a small tunnel underneath a bridge road but unbeknownst to him, he was being followed by someone. He suddenly stopped, frozen in place as sweat began to pour down his skin. He was filled with fear as he stood there unmoving. Loud and slow footsteps could be heard behind him as they grew closer.

The sound soon stopped but Izuku, still frozen in place, could feel a presence behind him. He then felt an eery pressure right on his shoulder. Glancing to the side, his eyes widened at what he saw. A completely bony hand, not a single inch of skin or muscle, it was just bones. His sweat trickled down his face even faster now, all he could feel was a huge sensation of fear all over his body, goosebumps and everything.

"Human." The voice of the figure behind him was deep, making Izuku grow tense due to the unexpected tone. 'Human?! Is this guy not human?! Oh, no... what if... what if he's a zombie?! OH NO! I don't want to be eaten alive! I still have so much to live for!' He thought to himself as uncontrollable fear crept down his back.

"Don't you know how to greet a new pal? Turn around and shake my hand." The mysterious figure said as they removed their right skeletal hand from the boy's shoulder. Izuku was now quivering in fear. Never had he ever felt this scared in his life. He slowly began to turn around while shaking uncontrollably. Once he was fully turned around to face the figure, his eyes widened comically more than it has already.

The figure was wearing the same school uniform as the greenette but the boy did not notice it as his attention was directed at something much more distracting. In place of a normal human head, a skull sat atop the figure's shoulders.

It was so terrifying looking, Its large eye sockets seemed empty and hollow but it felt as if they were staring deep into his soul, and its jaw was raised just a bit as if it was grinning at him. The skeletal figure took out his left hand from its pockets, it was wearing a white mitten glove. It stretched out the hand as a gesture for a handshake.

Izuku's heart was beating so fast, he slowly put out his left hand and quickly shut his eyes. As their hands connected there was a sudden loud noise. It was a fart sound, a very loud one that seemed to go on for a minute or so. Izuku opened his eyes confusion written all over his face. He then noticed that the skull he saw before was replaced by a regular head, a bit chubby face, a silver mess of curly hair, and a huge grin on the person's face. He looked like he was around Izuku's age, just an inch taller than the greenette.

Besides the grin, the weird part about his face would be the black eyes that did not have any eyeballs but had a piercing white dot inside his eye sockets. Izuku chuckled awkwardly until it grew into a loud stomach-clenching laugh. "heheh… the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick." the mysterious funny man laughed as he removed the white mitten glove from his left hand to show a regular human hand that had a small whoopee cushion wrapped with tape and demonstrated it to Izuku. "It's ALWAYS funny." He commented as he winked at the laughing greenette.

Izuku wiped the tears from his face, those he cried out of fear and some he had shed when he was laughing hysterically. "anyways, you're from aldara, right? That's hilarious." He chuckled. Izuku finally noticed the clothing he had on, it being the same uniform from his school.

"Oh, you're from Aldara too?" He asked while glancing at his uniform. "I'm nashi. nashi the 'sukeruton'." Nashi introduced himself to Izuku with a quick pun. "'The Sukeruton'? Oh, like 'skeleton'." He realized as he chuckled. "So that's your sir name?" Izuku felt oddly comfortable with Nashi even though he just met the guy.

Nashi's whole aura weirdly brought comfort to the quirkless boy. Nashi nods slightly while shrugging. "pretty much." He replied while his eyes closed, his grin relaxing a bit. "My name is Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you." The greenette introduced himself with a smile.

"Was that your quirk, by the way? That's really cool! Can turn your whole body into a skeleton or just a few limbs? Is it just limited to your body or is there something more to your quirk? How does it feel to turn into a skeleton, does it hurt at all-" Izuku's mumbling was quickly stopped by a hand to his mouth.

The smiling boy had a comical sweat on his forehead while the white dot in his eye vanished, he seemed to be caught off guard by the boy's excited questions. 'sheesh, calling it cool, yet the guy was clearly scared when he saw my skull. and where the hell did he pull out the notebook?' He thought to himself.

He let go of the greenette's mouth and spread his arms to the side in a shrugging manner. "jeez, buddy… that's a skele-ton of questions." He voiced with a pun. "S-sorry about that…" Izuku apologized while awkwardly laughing and scratching the back of his messy hair.

The silver-haired boy just chuckled while stuffing his hands in his pant pockets. "to answer your questions; yeah, it's a part of my quirk. it lets me turn whatever part of my body into bones. Not that useful besides scaring lost children." He said with a shrug while Izuku awkwardly laughed at the joke. "though i can also remove those skeletal limbs from the rest of my body." The grinning boy explained while showing off his right hand as it turned into a skeletal hand.

He then removed the hand from the rest of his body. "though, whatever i remove, it and the stump stay skeletal and bony until i attach the limb back." He explained to the green teen as he attached the skeletal limb back with the rest of his body. The skin reappeared around the bony limb as if it were invisible and it fazed back into existence.

"Woah! Amazing!" Izuku commented while opening up his notebook to a page and writing it down quickly. Nashi just chuckled at the greenette, watching him write it down in amusement. "You said that it's a part of your quirk. If you don't mind me asking… What other abilities do you have?" Izuku asked as he glanced up at Nashi.

"Heheh, sorry to disappoint. that's a family secret." The grinning boy said while winking at the boy. Nashi stared at the greenette for a few more seconds, he knew the answer to the question he was about to ask but wanted to know how the boy would react. "so, what about you, pal? what's your quirk?" He asked while staring at him.

The greenette froze in place, lowering his head slightly. "Ah… I don't… want to share… Y-you…aren't going to want to talk to me because of it…" He meekly responded as he looked away from Nashi. "don't be like that, buddy. i'm quite a nice guy, i won't make fun of ya." The bony boy replied, his voice understanding and comforting. The greenette glanced up at him before lowering his head again, shutting his eyes as he opened his mouth to answer his question.

"I…d-don't have a quirk… I'm… q-quirkless." He voiced. The silver-curled boy easily read his expression. The greenette felt that Nashi would no longer want to talk to him, that he would ignore him just like everyone else in their school did. "ah, okay. nothing wrong with that." Nashi commented with a shrug.

"W-what..? You d-don't find me pathetic..?" Izuku would question with wide eyes. "pal, with these analyses on heroes, especially quirks, you could be anything but pathetic." Nashi would voice as he somehow had Izuku's notebook in his hand as he flipped through the pages. He looked rather impressed with all the notes taken. "and this is the 13th, i wonder how good your other notebooks are, i'm impressed, pal."

"Huh?! How did y-you?" The greenette mumbled the words out, shock and confusion clear on his freckled face as he glanced at his hands where the notebook once sat and back at the grinning boy who was going over the pages. "snatched it out of your hands when you weren't lookin'" The grinning boy replied while keeping his gaze on the journal. "you want to be a hero, right?" Nashi asked as he got to a specific page.

He then noticed something as the white dot in his eye-sockets pinned their sights onto something past the notebook in his hands, staring down at the floor beneath them. His eyes were following something that seemed to move closer and closer to a manhole cover.

From his perspective, it looked like some sort of glowing aura as it hovered underneath them. The presence was just underground. Its shape was a heart and its color was orange but there also seemed to be something inside, a black heart-shaped flame just within the orange heart.

"Y-Yeah, I do! H-how did you know-" The greenette was stopped by a loud noise behind him. Turning around he saw some sludge thing begin to rise from the manhole that Nashi was eyeing. Large teeth and eyes could be seen emerging from the sludge soon understanding that it was a villain. "A villain?!" Izuku yelled out as he watched the goop crawl out of the hole.

"A medium-sized body… to hide in…" The villain said while panting, a huge toothy smirk on its gloopy face. Izuku was frozen in fear once again as he saw the villain approach him slowly before jumping up to pounce on the greenette. "I'M GOING TO BORROW YOUR BODY FOR A WHILE, KID!" The villain yelled with a hint of joy in his voice.

Izuku clenched his eyes closed as he waited for the attack. A few seconds pass and the attack never landed, he opens one of his eyes to peek out and then looks around him in confusion as he is no longer in the same spot he was just in a few seconds ago. "HUH?! How the hell did you get there?! Some type of speed quirk?!" The sludge villain yelled.

Izuku noticed Nashi standing next to him, the notebook still in his hand but now closed. "you have a bad habit of freezing up in these sorts of situations. you really need to fix that, buddy." He comments at the confused greenette while he hands back the book. "Uh… Yeah…? How did you..?" Izuku was now even more confused as he stared up at the boy.

"like i said, family secret." Nashi replies with a wink. "So it was you..! I'll make sure to rip you to pieces!" The sludge villain sends out a large fist of it's mud-like substance towards the smiling boy. "No! WATCH OUT!" Izuku yelled out in fear for his new friend. The fist slammed against the floor where the silver-haired boy stood. The villain looked around as the sludge part would return to the rest of his gloopy body.

"What the hell?! How fast is this kid?!" The villain seemed to get more annoyed by the second. "jeez, no need to get so riled up, snot-man. anywho, i was just wonderin'... whose nose did you crawl out of?" The grinning boy quipped. He now stood a few feet behind the mud villain, beside the manhole cover. Nashi lowered his head as he felt a presence. Looking down at the hole, he saw an aura making its way closer to them. The aura was a yellow-shaped heart with a smaller flame-like red heart in the center.

His smile grew wider as he stared down into the manhole, already knowing who exactly that person was. He faced the pissed-off sludge villain once more. Said villain clearly did not enjoy the joke the silver-haired boy made. Izuku was awestruck by how fast Nashi was, almost as if he was teleporting. Suddenly the manhole would be moved to the side as a large figure rose from the hole.

He was a very tall and muscular man with a huge heroic smile, had two tusks of blonde hair from the front of his head that leaned just above like antennas, and was carrying a plastic bag with two large Coke bottles. Both Izuku and the sludge villain were in shock at the sight of the large man while Nashi's expression stayed the same, he of course saw this coming. "All Might?!" Izuku shouted in surprise. "Shit! How did he find me so fast?!" The sludge monster stepped back in fear of the man. "In the flesh!" He said as he stood out of the manhole. "Fear not, Kids! I am here!" All Might announced.

The sludge grunted in annoyance before he sent an attack towards the symbol of peace. "Damn you, hero!" He shouted out in frustration. All Might leaned forward, quickly ducking the attack before dashing closer to the sludge villain. "Texas…" He began as he clenched his fist and readied it behind him. "SMASH!" He announced his attack as he launched his fist into the villain. The attack was so strong that it caused a large wind pressure that made the sludge monster disperse into tiny blobs of slime all over the floor.

"Sh-shock… wave..?!" The monster said, astonished at the amount of power the man held. "Unbelievable! All Might is so powerful!" the greenette finally spoke, excitement clear in his voice as he bounced on his feet a huge happy smile on his face. "first time seeing him too, huh?" Nashi somehow appeared next to Izuku without a sound as he spoke, surprising the greenette. "Ah..! Oh, uh… yeah!" He was caught off guard by the silver-haired boy's sudden appearance but quickly recomposed himself.

"Are you two alright? The villain did not hurt you, did he?" All Might spoke up right after picking up all of the slime body parts of the villain off the floor and having them stuffed inside emptied-out Coke bottles. "No, sir!", "nah, all good." Both Izuku and Nashi replied to the man. "It is an honor to meet you, s-sir! If it's okay with you, could you give me your autograph?" The greenette spoke with a shy voice as he showed the man an empty page in his notebook.

"Well, of course, young man!" All Might said with a laugh as he took the notebook from his hand and wrote his signature (which was just 'ALL MIGHT!' in bold letters) on the boy's book. "Wow! Thank you so much! What a treasure! It'll be a family heirloom!" Izuku's voice was fast and full of passion as he bowed down at least ten times in just a second.

"Now, I must deliver this evil-doer to the authorities!" He stated as he gave the boy a thumbs up while turning around and making his leave. "Um! Wait… is that all…? I…" The greenette meekly spoke up as he saw the man begin to leave. "A pro battles not only enemies but also time." The number one pro hero told the boy as he started to bend his legs, crouching down as he tensed his muscles. 'Hold on! I still… I need to ask you…' The boy thought in his head as he reached out his hand to the hero. "Until next time… THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!" The man announced as he jumped extremely into the air.

Nashi had a comical sweat drop on his forehead while his permanent smile grew a bit at the edges at what he had just seen. The greenette was no longer there. The silver-haired boy sighed. "those two… completely forgot about me." He said with a chuckle while holding out his notebook, he also wanted to get an autograph from the man.

As All Might 'flew' through the sky he noticed that he felt a bit heavier than usual. He glanced down and spotted the same green-haired boy clutching onto his leg. "Hey, now?!" He spoke out in surprise. He tried to get the child off of his leg. "Release me! I love my fans but this is too much!" He said as he began to push the child off. "If I… let go now… I'll… I'll die..!" Izuku protested as he would hold onto his leg for dear life.

"Oh, true enough!" All Might said with a trembling voice. "I… need to ask you… so many things… Gah! You…" He stated slowly while his eyelids and mouth were comically blowing in the wind. "Okay. Okay. Just do me a favor and close your eyes and mouth..!" All Might replied quickly with a comical sweat on his forehead. The symbol of peace would bring his fist to his mouth as a cough would build up in his throat. 'Damn it..!' The man thought to himself as blood would leak from his smile. Unbeknownst to them, the villain the hero captured had fallen from his pockets when he tried to push the child off of him.

Two bottles fell from the sky and landed in an alleyway. "... Where… where am I..?" The slime villain would open his eyes slowly as he returned from unconsciousness. 'Damn..! That bastard… If not for him, I could've…' Suddenly the bottle with the villain inside was harshly kicked by some kid, the kid in question being Katsuki Bakugou.

"Haven't you known him since you were kids?" One of the lackeys behind Bakugou spoke. He was the kid who took pity on the quirkless boy and now had a lit cigarette sticking out of his mouth. "Yeah, you took it too far today, " the other lackey commented. His fingers stretching out—a sign of quirk usage—he reached for a cigarette from the box the other boy was holding.

Katsuki was deep in thought, he was thinking back to when they were younger, how Izuku kept rambling on about saving people with a smile, like All Might. The smaller greenette's face smiling brightly. The explosive teen grew more upset at the memories. "Tch, the idiot had it coming." The boy spoke while clutching at an empty can of soda. "Seeing him so full of stupid dreams… like when we were little… just pisses me off."

The blonde said as his hand ignited into a small explosion, destroying the can. "Whoa..!" The two boys behind him shuttered as the explosion caught them off guard. "I thought I told you idiots to stop smoking! Get caught and it'll go in my record too!" He yelled at them while trying to disperse the smoke from his palm that ignited the explosion.

Their expression were pretty mild as Bakugou nagged them but soon their expressions changed into a bewildered and terrified look as they stared at something behind the explosive teen, something that just grew larger by the second as it towered over them. "H-hey…!" One of the boys spoke with a trembling voice. They both pointed their fingers behind their leader. "Huh?" Katsuki spoke as he turned around to see a giant slimy monster with its mouth wide open, big enough to eat a person whole, which was exactly what was about to happen. "A body… with a good quirk..!" The sludge villain spoke as its mouth closed shut, taking the kid in.

All Might looked around for a spot to land and soon he found a nice roof with an exit door, so he made his landing there. "Scary…" The greenette spoke once they landed. He looked extremely exhausted. "Of all the…! Hopefully, the people here will help you get down. I've got no time though! Truly!" The large man was annoyed at the teen as he looked below the building to see how high up they were.

"W-wait! Um…" The boy quickly rose to face the symbol of peace. "No! I will not wait." All Might stopped the boy as he faced away from him. "Even..! Even without a quirk… Can I still be a hero?!" The boy quickly shouted his question to the pro. "Can someone without a quirk… become a hero like you?" Izuku calmed his voice as he questioned the hero while his eyes were shut closed.

All Might turned his head to look at the boy, he was about to say something before suddenly feeling huge amounts of pain all over his body. All Might's body began to tense as his muscles shrunk. Smoke would burst from his body as he started to get smaller. 'Gah! Oh no… Damn it all…' He thought to himself as he wrapped his arms around his torso.

"Because I don't have a quirk, I… well, maybe that's not the only reason. But I've always been picked on…" Izuku continued, not noticing his favorite hero shrinking behind the large cloud of smoke. "That's why… Maybe that's why… I think that saving people is just about the coolest thing someone can do." He spoke. The man behind the smoke staring intensely at the teen.

"The way you save people with that fearless smile! I want to be the strongest hero, just like you- WHAT?!" The boy raised his head with a huge smile on his face before screaming from the sight in front of him. The smoke covering the large man dispersed and a skinny and lanky figure stood there where the symbol of peace once stood. His whole appearance looked like a skeleton.

"You're all shriveled up! HUH?! Were you… HUH?! A fake?! An IMPOSTER?! So thin!" The boy looked so shocked by the very thin man in front of him. The really skinny blonde stood there for a few more seconds before opening his mouth.

"I am All Might." He announced while blood leaked from his mouth. "WHOA!" The boy yelled in surprise at the blood. "NO WAY!" He was in clear denial. "You know how people hold in their gut at the pool? It's like that." The Skinny Might explained. "NO WAYYY!" The boy repeated louder, still in denial. "A fearless smile, huh… You've seen the real me, kid. But don't write about it on the internet, okay?" The skinny man said with a tired breath as he leaned against the fence and sat down on the floor.

"No way…" The boy repeated one last time but quieter. All Might lifted up his shirt, revealing an enormous scar on the left side of his chest. "Five years ago… An enemy did this to me." The man started. The boy took a step back, fear creeping in from the sight of the gruesome scar.

"My respiratory system was nearly destroyed, and my stomach was removed. I've wasted away because of the aftereffects of those surgeries. I can only turn into 'All Might' for about three hours a day now." The man finished before facing the boy, the powerful blue pupils in his shadowy eyes met the meek emerald green of Izuku's.

"Five years ago…? Was that when you fought toxic chainsaw..?" The boy asked while his whole body shook. "You've done your homework." All Might said with a chuckle. "That lowlife? He could never do this to me!" The skinny man stated as he clenched his fist.

"This was never made public. That is, I ASKED that it not be made public." The man said as he lowered his head before raising it back up to lock eyes with the boy. "A symbol of peace who saves people with a smile… must never be daunted by evil." The man spoke, his powerful eyes shining a bit from the light of the sun.

"The reason I smile… is to stave off the overwhelming pressure and fear I feel." The words hit Izuku like a truck, his whole expression morphing yet again into that of disbelief. "A pro should always be ready to risk his life." For some reason, those words somewhat resonated with Izuku. "Without power, can one become a hero? No, I believe not." Those last words filled the boy with dread as his dreams slowly began to shatter.

The man slowly got up and faced the direction of the exit, he halted in place as his eyes grew large from what he saw. There was another figure standing there, it was the same boy that was with the kid. "jeez, and my bro complains about how 'BONE-tired' i always look." The silver-haired boy said while leaning against the closed door, hands stuffed inside his pant pockets, his usual grin on his face. "heya."

Izuku quickly faced the boy in astonishment at his sudden appearance. 'What..! That's the same kid from before… How did he find us? Most importantly, how did I not notice his presence..?!' The skinny figure thought to himself in disbelief.

"Sukeruton..! H-how did you get here..?" The greenette asked the eyeless boy. "i took a shortcut." Nashi replied plainly. His grin grew wider in amusement. "anywho. midoriya, 'skinny might' has a point. any regular person who took an attack like that wouldn't have survived. someone powerless wouldn't stand a chance with whatever he had to deal with, and this guy is the symbol of peace."

He approached Izuku while scratching his bum. 'Skinny Might..?' All Might thought to himself while blood dripped from his chin. Izuku seemed to be feeling more down than he was just a second ago. Lowering his head and looking at the floor while tears swelled up in his eyes. Nashi took out a notebook from his bag and handed it over to All Might while keeping his two white dots within his empty eyesockets on the greenette.

"My bros a huge fan, it would make him real happy if he got your autograph." He said to the confused All Might who reluctantly signed his hero name on an empty page. "but i can tell that… whatever we say won't stop you from trying to reach your goal." The silver-haired boy continued as he now stood in front of the greenette. Izuku raised his head, facing the boy with confused teary eyes.

"Huh..?" He mumbled out. Nashi's grin softened as he looked over the kid. From his perspective, Izuku's aura was that of a green-colored heart but inside was yet another heart, a red flaming one, and its glow was strong as if it were roaring. It was almost the same as All Might's but it felt stronger in a way. "you have a kind soul, but also a determined one. you may not have some crazy power but from what i can see, you'll turn into a great hero, buddy."

Izuku's eyes began to tear up as he stared at the grinning kid with unexpected admiration. Suddenly a huge and loud explosion ran out from the city. They all turned their heads to the noise. A huge black cloud would be seen as fire and smoke were swarming a small location near them.

"An explosion?! What happened down there?!" Izuku yelled in surprise. All Might clenched at his side, his hand resting on the large scar. 'Damn it..!' He thought to himself, his teeth pressing together as he watched the scene. Both All Might and Midoriya would rush through the exit door to try and get there as fast as possible. Nashi was left there as he continued staring at the fire. He then vanished from sight.

Izuku Midoriya and All Might have just made it to where the explosion happened, they were both panting from running such a distance. There was a huge crowd that surrounded the commotion in the middle. There in the center stood the sludge villain from before, and this time he had successfully taken a hostage. The buildings were destroyed and filled with fire.

The boy who was taken hostage would grunt as he tried to free himself from the villain's clutches. "ARGH!" He screamed as an explosion drew everyone's attention towards the boy in the middle. Unbeknownst to all the witnesses taking videos and pictures of the scene, no one knew that the boy was Katsuki Bakugou.

"HA HA HAH! Such a strong quirk! I've hit the jackpot with this one! With this explosive power, I could even take HIM on!" The villain yelled with an amused tone, he slowly took over the kid's body while using the kid's efforts to free himself with his quirk to attack any hero that got too close.

'DAMN IT! This son of a bitch..! As if I'd let this mud man… this fucking mucus take over my body!' The boy thought to himself as he tried harder to free himself.

He stopped using bigger explosions because he realized that it only made the situation worse, struggling as he had to use his hands to dig at its surface instead.

"Wow! Some sort of hardcore villain?! Go get him, heroes!" Some people in the crowd cheered.

"A single-lane street?! I can't get in there!" Mount Lady spoke up in annoyance.

"Explosive fires are my weakness..! Someone else has to take this one!" Kamui Woods announced to the rest of the heroes as disappointment crept into his voice while he was evacuating some civilians who were caught in the action, some of those people being the two minions of Katsuki.

"I've got my hands full here! Where are the firefighters? How's it looking over there?!" Backdraft spoke while he tried to put out the raging flames with his water quirk.

"He's too slippery to get a hold of. The hostage with the explosive quirk is resisting but it's just making it worse for us..! It's like a minefield out here, but we can't do anything against him!" Death Arms explained while thinking of a plan to rescue the kid.

Some random hero stood too close to the villain and received an explosion to the chest. The villain swung an appendage that was crackling with explosions from the hostage, slamming the flaming fist into the poor hero's guts, sending them which sent them flying. 'BOOM!' A loud explosion sound erupted from the attack.

"DAMN IT! Man Down! Ugh..! No good… There's no one here who can stop him! Just gotta wait for a hero with the right quirk to show up!" Death Arms announced in bitter annoyance. "Until then, keep the damage to a minimum! Someone'll come! We need that kid to hold on just a bit longer…" Backdraft said, guilt creeping in.

Both All Might and Izuku watched in horror at the scene. The villain must have slipped from All Might's pockets when he tried to push Izuku off of him. They both blamed themselves for what happened. "Al-All Might… This is my fault… I'm s-so sorry…"

The greenette apologized to the symbol of peace while watching the scene helplessly. "N-no..! Kid, it wasn't your fault… I lost my cool and didn't notice the villain slip through my grasp..!" The hero tried to reassure the kid but when he failed he just sighed and faced the scene again.

'I lost track of time! My limit already ran out..! Shit, what can I do..? I'm so pathetic!' The man thought to himself as he clenched his hand on the large scar on his chest.

"Why're the heroes just standing there? Looks like the villains grabbed a middle schooler." Two guys next to Midoriya explained the situation as briefly as possible. Izuku catching this began to freak out. 'Grabbed?! No! Someone needs to help them!' He thought to himself before facing the now skinny number one hero. 'All Might used up all his time because of ME! This is all my fault!' The greenette was afraid for the hostage hoping that someone would arrive to save them.

"well, at least the construction team will have a blast with this one." Nashi suddenly appeared in between All Might and Izuku, shocking both of them but he just ignored them. "huh. that guy the snot-man has hostage looks rather familiar…" The silver-haired boy spoke as he leaned a bit closer to get a better look, his grin still on his face even in such a serious situation.

"W-what..? Do you maybe know that person-" Izuku began to ask before he noticed something familiar about the hostage too. His eyes grew wide at the realization and started digging through the crowd to get a closer look.

"Kid..?! Where are you going-" The skinny man tried to reach out to the boy but was stopped by an arm in front of him. It was Nashi's. He watched Izuku make his way closer to the scene, pushing his way through the crowd. "W-what are you doing..?" All Might was confused as to why the grinning boy had stopped him. "keep your eyes on the kid, Skinny Might. just watch and see why this kid has great potential to be a hero…" The eyeless boy said as his grin grew wider.

Once the greenette reached the front he had the chance to get a better look at the face of the hostage. His eyes grew so big they looked like they were about to pop out. The hostage was none other than Bakugou Katsuki, his scowl replaced by teary afraid eyes.

Izuku sprinted toward the sludge villain as fast as he could. Everyone was shocked as they saw the boy running towards the villain, everyone except Nashi who just stood there and watched with his permanent grin. He kept the white dots in his eyesockets locked on the sprinting boy. it may have looked like he was just watching the boy sprint into death but to him, it was much more than that. Nashi stared deeper into him, he was looking at the greenette's soul.

There he found what he was looking for. The boy's heart was green which symbolized kindness but something inside his green soul was a burning red, it was creeping out of his body as it lit up in power, his determination becoming stronger by the second. "go get 'em, kid. show everyone that you can be a hero too."

"GET BACK HERE, YOU FOOL! STOP!" One of the heroes shouted to the kid as they reached out to grab him. Izuku just kept running forward. 'It's that kid…' The villain thought as he faced the sprinting kid.

'Deku..?' Katsuki watched the quirkless boy run towards him to try and save him. Izuku's torn notebook fell from his bag as he continued sprinting. 'WHY AM I RUNNING?! What am I doing?! WHY?!' The boy thought to himself in disbelief.

"You're DEAD!" The sludge monster yelled out as he readied an attack. Midoriya quickly removed his bag before throwing it towards the villain, hitting him right in his large eye. With the monster now blinded, Izuku reached Katsuki.

"KACCHAN!" Izuku yelled his name out while digging his hands into the sludge, his sole mission being to free the boy. He quickly dug at the sludge that was covering the explosive teen's mouth, finally allowing the boy to breathe. "Y-you!? WHY?!" Bakugou coughed before yelling at the quirkless boy.

The sludge villain tried harder to wrap his sludge body around the explosive teen while the greenette kept clawing at the sludge. "M-my legs just started moving on their own! I-I don't know!" He yelled back. His mind flashed to a million conversations and comments. How a quirkless boy could never become a hero.

But one comment appeared in his mind 'you have a kind soul, but also a determined one.' His eyes shifted. 'you may not have some crazy power but from what i can see, you'll turn into a great hero' The words Nashi had spoken echoed in his mind. Even though they just met, he believed that this useless and quirkless boy really could become a hero.

'Determined' echoed in his mind over and over. 'I… I'm determined to save people… to be a hero who saves everyone with a smile!' He proclaimed in his mind as his fear started to vanish.

The soul that only Nashi could see, the green and red hearts would begin to expand and light up. Nashi's smile only grew wider.

"You… you looked like you needed saving." He spoke out, fear no longer etched in his eyes but a hardened and determined expression while giving Katsuki his biggest reassuring smile.

Both Nashi and All Might heard his voice through the crowd. The silver-haired boy smiled softly. "they sure grow up fast." He joked to himself as he closed his eyes. He then faced the completely shocked All Might.

"Stop… IT!" Bakugou groaned as the sludge started to suffocate him.

Nashi grinned as he watched the skinny man morph into his muscular form. "go save 'em, hero."

"You… heheh HAH! What an unpredictable situation! Thank you… for showing me how much potential this young man has!" He told the grinning boy while sending him a grin of his own.

"Just… a bit longer..! SO STOP GETTING IN MY WAY!" The sludge villain yelled as he sent a huge tentacle of sludge to pound the greenette in front of him. He was shocked to see Izuku crouch down and dodge the attack in that instance with just a glance. "W-WHAT!? WHEN THE HELL DID YOU GET SO FAST!?"

"So fast?! Hurry we need to save them before they die!" The pros shouted as they all ran towards the villain. All Might now in his muscle form appeared right next to the greenette. He then grabbed Izuku and Katsuki's arms, yanking the explosive teen right out of its bindings.

"The lesson I left you with… I should practice what I preach!" All Might said proudly at greenette while pulling both teens to his side. His veins were popping out as his muscles tensed up, smoke sizzling out from them.

"A PRO SHOULD ALWAYS BE READY TO RISK HIS LIFE!" He yelled out, blood spurting out of his mouth. His arm stretched out behind him as he got it ready to strike. "DETROIT SMASH!" He announced his attack loudly as his fist hit the villain right in between his eyes.

Parts of the villain went flying all over the street due to the shockwave caused by the punch. Everyone raised their arms to try and block off the air pressure from the punch. The shockwave would slowly vanish as large dark clouds would form in the sky.

Rain slowly began to pour down. "Rain..?" Someone in the crowd said in confusion. "No way… The air pressure… That rising air current..!" Shocked people in the crowd would yell in shock. "He changed the weather with a SINGLE PUNCH! Amazing. That's ALL MIGHT!" People cheered as they all watched the number one hero in amazement.

The Symbol of Peace did not pay any attention to them, he was staring at the greenette on the floor.

The heroes collected the villain's scattered slime body, finally managing to get the villain into custody. Other heroes would clean up the mess of the shattered street. "There was absolutely no need for you to put yourself in danger!" Some heroes reprimanded the green-haired boy. You were really tough out there! And that quirk! Consider becoming my sidekick once you go pro!" A hero praised the explosive teen but Katsuki ignored him, his gaze glaring at the boy who tried to save him.

After all that happened Izuku was just so tired and ready to go home and rest. 'I wanted to apologize to All Might and talk to Sukeruton… I'll probably never get the chance to meet All Might in person again but I can at least run into Sukeruton at school on Monday.' He thought to himself as he walked home. He took a big breath before releasing it into a tired sigh.

"DEKU!" Someone shouted from behind him. He turned around to find a glaring Katsuki. Izuku was caught off guard, seeing his school bully there. "What the fuck was that back there? Who the HELL told you to run after me?! HUH?! YOU DAMN BASTARD!" Katstuki yelled at the greenette with a rising temper. "I NEVER asked for your damn useless ass to jump in and help." The explosive boy shouted while taking a few steps closer to Izuku. "And what in the fuck was that?! Those moves... You damn quirkless loser... have you been training to enter Yuuei even after I told you not to?!" He continued to shout in the boy's face with a glare.

Izuku was then startled to see the explosive boy turn his body away from him. "You idiot, a quirkless loser like you is just going to get yourself killed," He groaned while glaring at the boy intensely. "But whatever. Not my problem if some suicidal quirkless dumbass gets himself killed," He spat while turning away from him and beginning to walk back from where he came. "Just don't get in my way, I'm going to be the greatest hero of all time and I don't want some idiot getting in between me and my goal." He growled. "Next time I won't be so nice as to leave you with a warning! This is the last warning I'll ever give you! Stupid nerd..." He said as he walked off.

'What a guy… Was he... worrying about me..? No, he only wants to achieve his dream.' He shakes his head before turning towards the path he was walking. He faces the floor as he lifts his hand, he stares at it in thought. 'I couldn't do much this time but I will improve myself until I can achieve my OWN goal. I... I am determined to continue with this journey that I started.' He thought to himself as he clenched his fist.

"I AM HERE!" Izuku was surprised to see All Might who had just skitted towards him from a corner. "HUH?! ALL MIGHT?!" He shouted in disbelief. "All Might? Why are you here? You were surrounded by reporters…" Izuku asked the man who just laughed at the question. "Shaking them off is nothing to me! After all, I'm All Mi- KOFF!" The man spat out tons of blood from his mouth as his body morphed into the skinnier version.

"Kid. I've come to thank you and revise what I said earlier… I also have a proposal." He went straight to the point without a second thought while wiping the blood from his chin. "I was also wondering if that other kid was with you. I have to thank him as well but I see he is not here… By the way, do you know him?"

Izuku has been caught off guard one too many times in one day and all these new things he has learned have been tiring him out more than he thought. He sighed with a slightly tired expression. "N-no actually… We just met today just before you showed up. He suddenly approached me and well... the only thing I really know about him from that one encounter is that he loves to pull pranks, and jokes..." He laughed awkwardly at the memory.

"Oh? Strange... He seems to trust you a whole lot... as if he has known you for a long time… or maybe as if he knows exactly what type of person you are…" The man spoke with a hand to his chin as he thought deeply about this.

"Izuku thought back to when Sukeruton revealed that he believed he would make a great hero. Now that he thinks about it, the way he talked about him. "kind soul, but also a determined one..." He repeated from his memories. "His quirk... it's so strange, I've never seen anything like it... He can turn any part of his body skeletal-like but he also has such speed that makes it look like he can teleport... and he mentioned my soul..." Izuku's analytical mind was now at work, trying to figure out the puzzle named 'Nashi Skeruton'.

"Regardless, If I hadn't heard your story…. I'd have been nothing but fake muscles and insincerity! So thank you!" The man recomposed himself before he continued his praises towards the young man. "That..! No. I mean, it was all my fault from the start! I got in your way… Even though I'm quirkless, I dared to ask if-"

"Exactly! Of all the people at the scene… it was only YOU, timid and quirkless, who acted! You spurred me into action!" All Might spoke, the words making the kid raise his head and lock eyes with the man in front of him.

"Most of the top heroes show signs of greatness even as children…" The words the skinny man spoke reminded him of the same words Katsuki spoke. "Many of them claim that… their bodies simply moved before they could think!" The man continued.

The boy clenched onto his school uniform but his eyes stayed locked with the taller man's. "That's what… happened to you back there, yes?!" The man asked loudly to the child. The kid clenched harder on his uniform, eyes beginning to water but he kept his emerald eyes on the man's. "Yes." He responded, his back straight as a smile began to form on his face. His emerald seemed to glow with determination.

"You CAN be a hero." The man proclaimed. Tears ran down Izuku's cheek but he kept his hardened expression on the man. Neither of the two noticed Nashi listening in to their conversation behind a fence nearby. He had his regular grin on his face, but he seemed proud and amused.

'you did great, bud. you deserve the recognition.' He thought to himself as his smile softened. Then something in his pant pocket started to vibrate. He dug inside and pulled out his phone. Someone named 'Puzzle Fanatic' was calling him.

He chuckled a bit before answering the phone and putting it up to his ear. "what's up, bro?" He greeted. "YOU KNOW WHAT'S UP, BROTHER! WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU?!" The boy at the other end yelled at the teen. "sorry, bro. i met an interesting fella and we became great pals." His grin grew wider.

"i can tell ya more about it when i get home." He explained to his brother. "OH! YOU MET A NEW FRIEND? HOW EXCITING! DO GET HOME SOON, BROTHER. IT IS GETTING RATHER LATE." The boy at the other end voiced. "heheh. yeah, i'll be home in a minute. see ya then, bro." He said before he hung up. He then faced the direction of where both Izuku and All Might were. Even with the fence in his way, from his perspective, he could see their silhouettes. Two souls with different colored outer layers but the same red color within their heart-shaped souls.

"might as well meet up with these two, eh?" He whispered to himself before vanishing.

Updates will most likely be a regular thing, for example; grammar fixes, and maybe a few things I have to change up in past chapters to make it line up better with future chapters.

My goal is to have a minimum of 10k words a chapter or more.

One day I'll also update the summary and make a cover image for this story.

But yeah, that is all for now!

PLEASE REVIEW THIS STORY!

I want to know exactly what you guys think about it and how I can improve either my writing or the plot!

I will make sure to reply to any comments or questions you have and know that any advice or ideas given are duly noted!
