NEW NEW YORK CITY - NEO MANHATTAN, 23111963 PARK AVE

In a bustling human city on an average city street sits a simple, unassuming building. In this building there is a collection of offices and living spaces, settled in rows on various floors from the ground up. All of these spaces have doors of varying colors and hues. Some are black, some are red, a few are gray, most are brown.

But only one door is blue.

This door is on a specific floor number but the number is not important, not yet anyway. What is important is the name on the door. Located on a bronze nameplate next to the door is a sign that reads the following:

Theodore Allen Rockford, Detection and Investigation Services

Advice and Assistance Obtainable Immediately - Pull To Open

Inside the blue door, there is a desk in an outer office. At the desk is a simple rotary phone on an ordinary office desk that sits in front of another blue door leading to an inner office. A post-it note stuck to the base of the phone reads:

"Officers and cars respond to all calls. -T.R."

A feminine hand reaches out to pick up the phone's receiver. She starts to wonder what number to dial before she hears ringing coming from the inner office. The phone rang four times and then a beep was heard. Both on the phone and through the door, the person holding the phone heard an answering machine say "Hello, this is Theo Rockford. At the tone, leave you name and message. I'll get back to you." There was another beep and then silence.

"Hello?" a female voice said in a shaky, confused voice. "Hello, is there anyone there?" A pause as she listened for a reply and then she continued "I have a problem and I need your help. I was told to come here by some of the people in the neighborhood. I was told someone here could help me." She was starting to cry a bit. "I was told to ask for a doctor."

On the other side of the door, a crash was heard and a man's voice yelped. It was unclear if it was a yelp of surprise or of pain. The woman looked at the door to the inner office. Through the frosted glass, she saw the vague shape of a person stumbling about. Clattering of objects and rustling of fabric could be heard for a few moments before the door suddenly flew open and a slightly disheveled man stumbled through it. He wore black pants, a navy button down shirt with white polka dots, a gray sweater vest and a multicolored tie. On his head was a grey fedora and he was shrugging his way into a tan trench coat. He looked at the woman with a mix of surprise and confusion before he finally spoke.

"Doctor?" he asked. "Doctor who?"
