A/N: Hello! I told you guys I'd be back. Hope you all enjoyed the teaser. So before I go on to talk about more lighthearted stuff or just other things there's something I'd like to talk about. I love Grim Tales I remember discovering it in 2015. I fell in love with this amalgamated universe following the story of Grim Jr. However, with the last year I have grown uncomfortable about the content its creator bleedman posts on his personal account. Now the only account I know of is his deviantart account and I found out the other day it's been deactivated. The number of young girls pre teenaged girls being sexualized on there is something I'm uncomfortable with. So I'll keep up with the comics, GT and PPGD, but that's about it for anything I'm willing to look at. I know that GT does this too at time, but I do think that it's very few and far between I can skip it. It's why I usually why I write about GT afterbirth than the original. That's all I got on this though. Agree, disagree, think I'm being a hypocrite or overdramatic. PM me.
Second thing I want to talk about. Playdate. So someone seems to think I didn't write both PD and ToTTR. I did they are both my creations. Also if you guys frequent the GT fanfic section a lot you'll remember a writer by Aros001. They are a very cool writer on the site that hasn't been active since last year. So there's a scene in playdate I asked Aros to borrow from his GT one shot story "Blossoming Love" It's a lemon fic. I did use a small piece of that with they're permission, but forgot to give credit. SO a few years too late, but yeah you'll see it if you read both. So sorry Aros.
And lastly. I've decided to continue TEH. However I don't know when the next update will be as I will be focusing on this fic alot.
Welp that's all. see you all at the bottom.
Enjoy.

Better three hours too soon than a minute too late

Grimm Beyond Time
Prologue
Fires raged throughout the kingdom of Vale as it layed in rubble. Alone shadowy figure stood among the ash. His hood shrouded his face and all that could be seen were two glowing green eyes. His jacket had skull buttons on his chest and ran along his arms matching the color of his eyes. He was the former prince of the underworld and he saw what was before him.
Grim Jr looked on in horror at the destruction around him. The smoking remains of Amity arena that just littered the ground in pieces. Any who were still on were dead. He was sure, he could feel their souls be released into the beyond. Or was the people that were crushed under the small land mass when the damned thing crashed right into the Kingdom of Vale. In all honesty he couldn't tell which was which.
'Whoa brother that is so not good!' The voice of Junior's nergaling symbiote called out.
'Yeah no shit. Whoever Remnant's reaper is they've got their work cut out for them.'
A small moan was heard and Junior looked down at the girl in his arms. Ruby Rose was currently unconscious as blood streamed down her face. Blood had started to pool near her stomach area as a Large white feather impaled her. Touching the damn thing burned Junior, causing him to recoil his hand from even trying to pull the damn thing out.
'Junior she needs a doctor, or a priest, or hell even a vet is better than nothing at this point.'
'or else she'll die' was left unsaid. Did the symbiote think he didn't know that. It wasn't supposed to be like this!
'I know dammit.' Junior grunted in his head as he turned around. A snarl was heard all around him as black creatures known as Grimm surrounded him. Their black bodies looked more like shadows against the fire that littered the streets and buildings of the kingdom. Their white face masks standing out wildly and their piercing red eyes peering at him with an insatiable hunger. This particular grimm was a beowolf and the unfortunate part was they always traveled in packs.
"Stupid Creatures your in my way!" Junior shouted as he used his tendrils to moved Ruby to his and wrapped the girl to his back.
The small girl groaned at the sudden movement. Junior summoned his scythe as the Grimm started making their way towards them. Then the first one lunged. Junior stepped back wards a he spun the scythe and sliced the thing in two.
Then they all pounced at once at him. Junior swung the scythe once more from the side like a bat, slicing through their bodies like butter. They all hit the ground and dispersed back into the shadows they spawned from.
Junior looked around wildly for anymore that were gathering at him.
'Junior man stop! She losing more blood!' The nergaling shouted at him causing Junior to freeze. Because he and the nergaling were almost one he could feel the wetness from Ruby's blood increase as he fought off the monsters.
He needed to leave. Now!
Junior cursed as he ran towards the outskirts of the city. Towards forever falls, where he knew they'd be safe. As he did he could here them fighting. Grimm in the streets, eating killing civilians. People screaming in a panic.
Tendrils shot from his body impaling into as many as he could as headed for the kingdom's walls. Even with all his powers, he couldn't save them all.
Dammit! Why had he been fighting so damn hard if shit was just going to end up like this!?
"Hang on Ruby. We're almost there!" Junior said as he gripped the younger girl tighter to him as he made noticed the wall that towered above him. Gathering power in his legs, Junior shot up towards the wall. Making the leap in a single bound.
He came crashing hard to the ground. Just in time too as soon as he made some distance between him and the kingdom, he felt it.
A soft warm light, that with every second grew hotter and hotter until it became too much for even Junior to bear. Turning around he saw why. The entire kingdom of Vale was gone nothing but a smoking crater.
Junior simply stared at what was once a vibrant city. Full of people. People who didn't deserve this.
"Why...why birdbrain. WHY!" Junior shouted to the sky as he clenched his fist so hard he punctured his skin. He was brought here to save these people. Then why? Why had things ended up this way? Stupid old ghost and his damn bargains. He was worse than Lucifer.
'Junior...c'mon we have to go. Ruby's life depends on it.'
"...I know." Junior said as he turned around and walked away from what was once the grand kingdom of Vale.
XXX
Junior made his was across the forever falls and towards a small light hidden within the trees. As he made his way closer and closer, he could hear noise. Talking coming from the source of the light.
There he found 5 women sitting around a small camp fire. Two Blonde haired women, Yang and Glynda. A black haired one with cat ears, well ear as one was missing, her name was Blake. The last being a white haired woman, Weiss.
Showing up he surprised them as they all pointed their weapons at him. He held his hands up in surrender.
"Whoa! Whoa! I come in peace here!" Junior said as they all glared at him. He knew where they were, but he wasn't exactly on friendly terms with any of the them. The oldest of them, Glynda walked towards him, in her hand a riding crop that she pointed it at him, poked him in the chest.
"What do you want monster." Glynda said to him through gritted teeth. She stared at him with only one eye as the other was permanently shut after being gouged out.
'You know for the hottest of the bunch you'd think she'd have less of a stick up her ass. Especially with, you know, everything that's going on.'
Junior rolled his glowing green eyes and turned around as the girls all gasped. "Figured you guys would want this back."
He laid Ruby on the soft grass as they all gathered around. They all looked at him in a mixture of hatred and fear.
"What happened to her?" The younger blonde, Yang, asked. Her hand was clutching Ruby's so tightly, like she was afraid to let go.
"That bastard got to her, the one that just wiped Vale of the map." Junior said, still feeling the thousands of souls floating from the huge crater that was left behind.
"Will..will she be alright?" Yang asked trembling not taking her eyes off the younger girl.
"Not if we don't do something about her wound." Junior replied, kneeling down next to them. He looked at the state of the group he'd found. They looked tired and angry. It was to be expected, they'd just lost their home. Whatever friends and family they had in the kingdom were most definitely dead.
This was not how this was supposed to go.
Junior looked at Ruby and knew she'd die if they didn't remove the feather soon. He could use his symbiote to knit her wound together. Stop the bleeding long enough to find an actual doctor. He couldn't remove it. His nature wouldn't let him.
"Yang." Junior said getting the girl's attention. As she turned to him, Junior saw the large gash on her cheek. No one it seems got out of this unscathed. "I need you to help me pull this out okay? But I need you to be ready she's going to start bleeding faster. Blake, Weiss. I need you two to hold her down. She'll start to struggle."
Glynda watched as the girls nodded both kneeling on opposite sides of the young girl as they prepared themselves. "What do you need from me?" The older woman asked, hating the feeling of uselessness she felt at being so close to her student and yet unable to help.
"I need you to keep whatever comes here off our backs. The girl will start screaming, once that starts it'll attract….something." Junior said as he paused. That something could be anything. If they were lucky. Just Grimm, but on the off chance HE showed up, then they were screwed.
But that wasn't a reason not to try.
Glynda nodded and walked out of the area, she'd make sure these kids were safe till her dying breath. It was her responsibility.
"Yang grab the feather and get ready to pull when I say." Yang nodded and gripped the end of the feather, watching as Ruby tensed at the slight movement at the weapon currently lodged in her stomach. Yang's eyes widen and Junior saw her uncertainty. They didn't have time for it.
"Okay 1. 2. Pull!" Junior said a sick squelching sound came from Ruby's stomach as the feather was ripped out. The hairs acting as teeth tearing the poor girl up further. Everyone winced as Yang removed the bloody weapon. Blake and Weiss keeping their grip on Ruby's shoulders, but both looked like they wanted to hurl. Ruby's eyes snapped open and the sound she let out was horrifying.
"GAHHHH! AIEEEE!" She screeched. She tried to spring up, but Blake and Weiss kept their hold. Yang fell backwards as she watched her baby sister scream in pain.
"Oh gods Ruby I'm so sorry." She said as she felt terror and fear. Tears formed in her eyes as she watched her struggle violently.
"Hold her!" Junior said as he placed his hand on Ruby's stomach. The sound of roars and fighting heard in the distance. The Grimm had come. Whether or not that was better had yet to be seen.
Junior's hand morphed into some kind of blob, molding to Ruby's wound as it creeped into her insides and started patching into her wounds.
"Aghh! Yang, It hurts!" Ruby screamed as she called for her big sister. Yang was still sitting on the floor watching things till Ruby called for her.
"Hey is it supposed to do this!" Yang asked desperately. Split between wanting to throw Junior off her or not wanting to stop what might be Ruby's one chance at surviving.
"Yes?! Maybe?! I don't know, I've never done this before!" Junior grunted as he tried to be fast and careful at the same time. Closing off multiple lacerations at the same time was really f !king hard. How doctor's did this shit was a mystery for him.
"What?!" Yang shouted as she got closer, and held Ruby's face. "Ruby look at me you're going to be okay! You just need to bear it, for me!"
Ruby's head nodded rapidly as tears streamed down her face, and looked at her big sister. Yang had never let her down before. Never lied to her before. It would all be alright.
Right?
"O-okay…" Ruby said through gritted teeth. "Yang...I'm sorry I thought I could beat him. I….thought I could save everybody." Tears streamed down her face harder.
"H-hey it's okay! It's not your fault okay!" Yang tried, desperately, to reassure her.
"She's right Ruby you did the best you could." Blake's voice was heard as she held her down.
"Yes, listen Ruby you can't blame yourself. You tried that's more than anyone else can say." Weiss said as she smiled down at the her team leader. Yang laughed shakily as Ruby's screams turned into heavy breaths.
"See sis what'd I tell ya. Team RWBY has your back." Yang said with faint optimism.
"Okay I think I got it! Just need to seal the entrance." Junior said as his blob hand exited Ruby's wound sealing the hole on the way out. Leaving a black and green seal in place of it. Junior sat back as he watched the girl's talk to Ruby.
"See sis you're going to be okay. You're going to be alright." Yang said as Blake and Weiss released the young girl slowly. Ruby slumped down back into the dirt as Yang started stroking her hair.
Ruby looked over at where Junior was sitting. His glowing green eyes staring down at her in worry.
"I..I'm so sorry I didn't listen." The girl said as her eyes started to close again. "Uncle Qrow, Headmaster...I'm so…" Ruby whispered as she passed out again.
"It's okay Ruby get some rest. We'll figure out what to do tomorrow." Junior sighed as he stood back and saw Yang starring at him, still stroking Ruby's hair.
"Thank you." She said as tears fell down her face. Junior nodded and turned around. Then he noticed something very odd.
'Yeah you hear it too right?' The nergaling said as it poked its tentacle head from his shoulder.
Nothing. Not a single sound was heard.
Then Blake's cat ears twitched.
"Look!" She said as the figure walked towards the camp as Junior and the girl's readied their weapons for a fight.
The form of Glynda Goodwitch stumbled towards them. Weiss, Yang, and Blake all relaxed for a moment, but Junior stayed tensed. Because he knew before they did what was in front of them.
Glynda fell face first on the ground, feathers riddled her bloody back.
A dead woman.
The soul of Glynda Goodwitch appeared, in a form only Junior could see, standing above her destroyed body. A bright light blue color surrounded her as her new form was more fluid than solid. Her newly restored eyes were wide in fear and her mouthed moved but no sound came out.
"Run." She mouthed.
Team WBY's eyes widened as they sprang up to rush to their teacher's aid. Junior's armed snapped out in front of them. Stopping them in their tracks.
Junior's eyes widen as heard it. The flapping of wings.
HE had arrived.
'Dammit no! Not now!' Junior thought as he heard the sounds of trumpets. An almost mocking sound, as what originally was meant to announce salvation.
Now it announced their death.
"Run!" Junior shouted as he readied his scythe as the flapping was getting louder and louder. Looking back at them, he saw they stood still frozen in their track. "Go! Grab Ruby and run!"
"B-but what about you!?" Yang said as she shook off her fear. She looked at her sister and then back at Junior. Surely she couldn't just leave him here, could she? She felt a hand on her shoulder as Blake's twilight colored eyes bored into hers.
"Yang we need to go! We'll die if we stay here." Blake said as Weiss picked Ruby up on her back. Yang looked back at Junior, before cursing and heading with the others.
"Don't die!" Yang shouted as she and the other girls made their way deeper in the forest.
'Trust me that is not the plan.' Junior thought as the flapping suddenly stopped. The forest went quiet again. He gripped the scythe hard as he looked around. He couldn't have the brats sticking around. They didn't like him and he didn't care much for them, but that didn't mean he wanted them to die.
'I got a bad feeling about this.' The nergaling said. 'Do you think he went after the girls?'
"No, he wouldn't waste his time. His fight with Ruby showed that even silver eyes aren't enough to deal with him." Junior replied, then he heard the culprit behind all this land on the soft grass behind him. "Is this what your salvation is supposed to look like? Thousands dead. An entire city destroyed. I thought you holy types were all about the light at the end of the tunnel."
"Whether you believe it or not, this is for the best. Remnant can't survive against these odds. Best that rapture come. The golden city will welcome them." HE said as the footsteps came forward. Junior turned around, anger causing his eyes to emit some kind green smoke.
"This is what you think will save this world!? Look at US birdbrain! We could take on Salem! What made you think this was a good idea. People are DEAD idiot! We don't even know if heaven exists in this plane of reality!" Junior roared at his opponent who simply smiled at him. Not a malicious one, but a sad one. One that said he didn't understand.
"The game was rigged from the start Junior. They didn't want us to decide the fate of this sad diseased planet. Salem, Cinder, they were simply symptoms of a larger issue. Something they wanted us to fix. No their plan for us was far, far worse."
Junior's knees bent, Scythe held in a fighting stance. He didn't move, no he was still hoping to reach out with his words one more time.
"So what? Of course they didn't tell us the true story. They're GODS! When do they ever tell the whole truth? I figured you know that being your dad's favorite night light." Junior snapped. Then a quick whoosh was heard and Junior moved out of the way, jumping high into the air. A large cut on his pich black cheek spilled green blood.
'In WHAT world did you think antagonizing the big scary celestial was going to help?!' The nergaling scolded him.
"Hey It worked before!" Junior said as birdbrain flew towards him at mach speed, smashing right into Junior and sending them rocketing towards the sky.
The reaper used his scythe to stab straight into his opponent's leg as he let out a hiss of pain and released Junior. Junior started to plummet to the ground, but shot a tendril at Birdbrain's back impaling him right between the wings.
"Why Junior!? We were brothers-in-arms! Comrades sent to save this world! You should be helping me!" The winged man yelled as he plummeted to the earth with Junior pulling him down. Junior crashed right into the ground pulling his enemy down and slamming him into the ground.
"You cause all this destruction and dare, DARE, ask me why I wouldn't go along with this! This isn't a rapture you egotistical moron! It's genocide plain and simple. Death doesn't ask for it's gift to be granted immediately." Junior snarled as he saw the man get up and dusted himself off.
"Say what you will, but I'm taking the pawns off the board. This way they're spared this disrespect their creators have given them."
"Is that the boldface lie you told Oz before you killed him?"
"If I get rid of all living creatures on this planet then it won't be a lie."
"...You're really going to make me do this aren't you?"
"Oh Junior, I've never made you do anything you didn't already want to."
And with that words were over. Junior launched himself at his winged foe. His scythe skidding across the ground as it came up towards his foe's neck. However at the last second his wing blocked the scythe, with it bouncing of them like metal. Birdbrain grabbed the scythe and stretched his palm out and a bright light formed in it. Shooting at Junior point blank. Luckily the Reaper's reflects made it so he dodged it as soon as it shot out.
The blast destroyed most of the surrounding trees around him. Junior than planted his boot in the man's chest kicking off him and causing him to let go of the scythe and step back. Junior spun in the air and hit the man with the but of his weapon, causing his head to snap to the side and fall.
The winged man picked himself back up and charged at Junior, a sword of light in his hand as he swung at the demon reaper, who deflected it with blade of his scythe. They clashed, their blade smashing into the other. Dodges and deflects should their blades miss the other.
Junior smashed his foot to the ground as his scythe against the blade of light.
"At the rate we're going Junior this fight could last a while." The angelic man smirked.
"I know. But I'm a bounty hunter by trade, when you can't win the fair way…"
Then a tentacle sprung from the ground using Junior's foot to slip past the enemy's defense as the nergaling showed up morphing into the form a black and green cannon. Pointed directly at the side of Birdbrain's head
"Surprise B !"
"Then you cheat."
With that the cannon fired, a large green laser shooting out. Birdbrain dodged at the last second, but didn't see Junior's scythe coming at his head. Nailing him in the side of it. Unfortunately the blade of light came up forcing Junior to jump back and thus unable to carry his attack all the way through. Leaving his foe with a large gash on his head.
Birdbrain laid on the ground and with blood trailing down his head, raised his hand in the air and hundreds of sharp bright lights appeared over their heads. He threw his hand down and they all fell at once. Junior flipped and spun as fast as he could, be even with his speed a few impaled him. Due to their angelic nature vs his demonic, this caused the blades to burn him with a white hot sensation.
"GAHHHH!" Both Junior and the Nergaling screamed as the burning sensation worsened. They hit the floor in pain as the light stakes nailed him to the ground, pinning him to the ground.
Birdbrain stood up shakily, and stumbled over to Junior. Blood leaving a trail on the grass and dirt.
"I tried Junior I truly did. But...there's something I CAN do. I can save all of remnant this way." He said as stood above the Reaper. His eyes having a sort of sad acceptance to them. "Do you see now how hopeless this truly is?"
Junior starred up at his expression hidden by the nergaling mask, but his glowing eyes narrowed as he continued to struggle against the stakes.
"Bite me."
The angel gave a sad sigh as he lifted his hand and a bright light spewed forth, only for it to dissipate as three tendrils pierced him from behind. Blood spewed from his mouth. The stakes blinked out of existence and Junior stood up. His scythe appeared in his hand once again as he lunged forward and pierced Birdbrain's chest.
"Wha?!" The winged man said as pain shot through his whole body as he felt Junior pull his scythe. Then the pain stopped. Birdbrain looked down at himself and saw he was glowing a bright white glow. He looked down and saw his body, his actual body. It was lying broken and bloody half of his chest had been ripped wide open.
He looked at the scythe still attached to him then at the person still holding it. Junior's small tuff of brown hair obscuring his eyes. He was yanked forward as Junior held his astral form by it's throat.
"It didn't have to be this way. We could have worked together. You threw it all away for what? Some twisted concept that this would somehow 'save' these people." Junior said as he lifted his head up, glaring at the man in his hand.
Birdbrain only smiled at him, a sad smile. "It always had to be this way Junior. And for what happens next. I'm sorry."
Junior gripped him tighter and brought him closer to his face.
"Not as sorry as I am." Junior said as his nergaling mask grew large monstrous fangs that stretched across his face. They opened wide as the body-less soul was sucked in and was no more.
Junior collapsed as his butt hit the ground as he thought about everything that led to this moment. The confusion and anger he felt. It wasn't supposed to be this way. Why? Why did he do this?
"Hey Buddy. I know that was hard, but it had to be done." The nergaling said as it popped it's head out. It's large green eye staring at him with sympathy. "If you didn't do something this world, remnant would be done for."
"I know." Junior replied as he stood to his feet. Dusting himself off and shaking his head.
"Wanna talk about it?"
"Not really."
"You sure?"
"Yeah man I'm sure. Let's just bury Goodwitch and find where the girls ran off to."
"Okay. But I'm here to talk if you want to."
Junior didn't say anything as he walked over to the body of the dead school teacher, who's spirit no longer was around. Probably moved on to whatever afterlife this cursed world had. Hopefully it was somewhere nice.
"Junior"
"Look man I appreciate you caring, but seriously. I'm good."
"No! It's not, hgk!, SoMeThInG's WrOnG!" His nergaling let out a piercing shriek as Junior fell to his knees. Hugging his body as he felt very sick all of a sudden. Then he felt it all at once. A sudden burning sensation crawling up his entire body. It was like being boiled alive from the inside out!
"Gahhh! Grkk! Ghhk!?" Junior couldn't speak, he couldn't even let out a proper scream. All that came out were wet gargles as he puked up green blood. What!? What was even happening?!
Then his voice was heard.
"I told you I was sorry Junior. And I so very much am. However I need to do this if I'm to protect this world." The voice of his supposedly fallen foe was heard.
"No! Stop! Dammit! This power is too much, you'll destroy this world!" Junior's thoughts cried out as his body began to bubble. Ready to burst at a moments notice.
"Yes. But in the ashes all of this world's inhabitants will be saved. They will live through me. Through Us!"
"No! You're wrong. That's! Not! Living!" Junior gave one last attempt at resisting the change….
POP!
But it was already too late.
Junior's body exploded as green blood went everywhere and nergal flesh lay scattered. Where Junior once was stood something else. Another hooded figure, in white and golden robes. His face obscured by his mask that showed no facial features, large angelic wings were attached to his back. They extended themselves to stretch out. In his clothed hand was a scythe, with a white handle and golden blade.
It wasn't Junior nor was it the man he fought against. This was something else entirely. It had a single mission. A single focus.
To save the people of remnant.
How?
Kill every single one of them obviously.
XXX
Silver eyes gently opened as Ruby Rose found herself staring at the ceiling of a cave. She tried sitting up, but her body betrayed her as a sharp pain shot through her stomach. This forced her back down with a sharp hiss.
Suddenly a pair of pale yellow eyes stared down at her.
"...Blake?" She said weakly as Blake's eyes widened. She yelled for Yang and Weiss before checking Ruby's pulse. Suddenly her sister and partner appeared on opposite sides of her. Eyes filled with worry.
"You dolt! How stupid are you?! Staying behind like that!" Weiss' words sounded harsh if not for the way she gripped her hand.
"Hehe sorry. Thought I could take him." Ruby's weak voice apologized. Weiss simply huffed and might have mumbled something like "I'm glad you're okay." or something like that.
Yang was about to say something. However large explosion rocked the cave as Blake ran to the entrance to check whatever it was.
The cat faunus' eyes widen as she saw a figure appear. Weiss and Yang's eyes widen as well. Ruby weakly moved her head to the side to see the figure from where she was laying.
The man looked at all of them before lifting his hand, pointing it towards them.
"Junior?" Ruby said. She hoped he was okay.
Then a bright light filled her vision and nothing else mattered.

[Loop 1,026 sequence ended]
The screen ended in a flash of bright light as a figure watched it closely. Stroking his long beard for a moment, before it turned into a child's chin.
"It seems your champion has failed again Clockwork." A slimy voice said as the figure known as Clockwork turned around. Showing the small purple cloak that was small at first, but grew longer as he aged from a child into an adult in seconds. His purple tunic with a window showing a clock appeared from his broad chest that immediately withered and became decrepit as he became old once again.
The forever aging ghost looked at the two guest to his time keep, the brother gods. One a bright blinding yellow with deer antlers, the god of light, the other a dark eerie purple with ram horns, the god of darkness.
"Yes you said he would be the answer to our situation. The one who would help us out of our plight. So far he has only destroyed our creations." The god of light said, crossing his arms as he stared, unimpressed, at the chronomancer.
"Ahh gentlemen what did you expect? You threw a literal Angel in the mix. It tends to muddy the water so to say." The child-ghost turned adult said as he shrugged.
"It was YOU that promised us he would fix our situation. It isn't OUR fault you choose one that is apparently bad at his job!" The god of darkness scowled as he marched towards Clockwork. Twisting and twitching as he made his way till he was in the Ghost's young face.
"Riiiight." Clockwork said sarcastically as he turned his back and rolled his red eyes. "And it certainly NOT your fault that you two entered the wrong dimension and getting the snot kicked out of you by the celestial welcome party."
This time both gods scowled at the memory. They had given as good as they got, but in the end the numbers were too...overwhelming. What god needed that many servants?
"And who got you out?" The time ghost asked stroking his aged beard. It needed no answering, but he wanted to poke the bear a little. Hopefully they proved entertaining. Clockwork had negotiated a deal between Heaven and the brother gods to get their release. Their freedom for an agent on their world.
The god of darkness looked like he was going strike at the ghost before his brother placed a yellow hand on his shoulder.
"It takes a brave being to provoke us, Clockwork. But you are right, we do owe you a debt for getting us released from your god's chains. But I have to ask, why are you so interested in our world?" The god light raised an invisible eyebrow at him.
Clockwork starred at him for a moment before turning around. "I actually despise people like you and your brother you know." The chronomancer said he floated to the screen again. "You cast final judgment on the people you create without ever going down there and experiencing what you created."
Clockwork gestured to the screen as images appeared. The emerald forest, the school of beacon, A glasses wearing man with silver hair sipping coffee and a white skin and hair lady covered in red vein wearing a black dress.
"You instead hoist your responsibility onto people ill prepared to handle even a fracture of your power."
"You don't understand what that witch did!" The god of darkness snarled.
Clockwork rolled his eyes again, this time in front of the brothers.
"Yes yes. A tale as old as time, she attempts to trick you into bringing her dead lover to life, so you curse her with immortality. She organized your creations against you. And instead of telling them the truth and letting them decide what to believe, you simply wiped them out. Tell me in what way were they ever a threat to beings like you two?" Clockwork stared at them crossing arm with his timestaff resting on his shoulder.
"It's not about them being a threat! It's about respect!" The god of darkness yelled.
"Right and you two have been so respectful since you arrived." Clockwork egged on as the god of darkness escaped his brother's grasp and attacked the time ghost. Smashing the wooden planks that were the floor, making them fly everywhere. However, as the dust cleared the brothers saw clockwork sitting on one of floating pendulums above. His child face smirking causing the dark god to become more angry. "You forget yourself god of the dark. This place is NOT you're domain. It is mine. Now please control yourself, I'd hate to have to hand you back to heaven. We wouldn't want that now would we?"
The god of darkness was about to give chase, but was stopped as his brother's voice boomed.
"ENOUGH! BROTHER WE DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR PETTY PRIDE! WE NEED THIS AGENT DEALT WITH AND NOW!" The booming voice of the god of light stopped his brother, who at this point had never heard him yell, in his tracks.
The god of darkness simply scowled and crossed his arms, almost like a pouting child.
The god of light only sighed before turning back to the time ghost. "My apologies Clockwork, but we have tried a lot of things with this 'demon reaper' but each time ends in failure. Why are you so certain he's our solution."
'Because he always is, what is he missing this time?' Clockwork said as he replayed the fight between Junior and the angel again. Junior always came through in the end, whether it be against demons, angels, even gods. The once spoiled prince turned hero was a force to be reckon with. However this time the young reaper was on a pretty severe losing streak.
Why?
Watching the fight again Clockwork saw something in the fight itself. Something that he recognized. He looked back at the final fights between loops #1-1,025. They all ended the same way too. Junior and the angel fight, Junior is tricked into eating said angel, Junior and angel merge to become the harbinger of Remnant's destruction. A constant repeat, in a loop filled with what should be many different outcomes.
And Clockwork knew exactly why.
"Gentlemen I think I've found the solution to our problems." He smirked as the gods turned to him in surprise.
"You think?" The god of darkness asked starring at him with a look of disbelief.
"Ehh about 75% certain."
"75%!?"

"We're home!" The loud voice of her sister was heard throughout their home on patch. Ruby winced as she heard the sudden sound of something loud crashing into the floor and shattering.
"Dammit Yang! How many times do I gotta tell you! Quit screaming when you enter the house!" The voice of their father, Taiyang Xiao-Long was heard as he walked outta the kitchen/dining room. Aproned up and oven mitts on from cooking breakfast.
Yang snickered at her father and slapped her bag on the floor before plopping on the couch. "Man it's good to be home." She said as she stretched out.
Ruby rolled her eyes at her big sister before dropping her stuff on the floor and running to give her dad a hug. "I missed you dad!" She said gleefully as the big man took his gloves and apron off and gave her a hug back.
"I missed you too, BOTH of you. Even if only one kid actually does decide to hug their old man that they haven't seen in months." Tai said faking hurt in his voice as his oldest daughter stuck her tongue out at him and got up to give him a hug with Ruby. "That's better."
He squeezed both of them for a sec before letting them go. Tai scanned them up and down for a moment. Yang looked the same as always, something he expected. His sunny dragon was more than capable of looking after herself. Ruby though? She looked brighter and happier than he had seen in a long time.
Ruby sniffed the air and smelled something very, very good.
"Dad, what's that?" The smell almost lifted her off her feet.
"Oh right. Heard my two kids were finally coming home on a break that they should've been on in the beginning of the week. So I made pancakes."
He ushered them both to the kitchen as he walked back over to the stove to make sure the pancakes didn't burn. Yang and Ruby sat down at the table as they scratched their heads in embarrassment.
"Sorry Dad, we had an issue with this grimm called a nightmare and Weiss." Ruby laughed awkwardly.
"Weiss? That's your partner right?" Tai asked as he flipped the pancake and placed another strip of bacon on another pan.
"Yeah, it's a long story."
"Well seeing as you stopped sending letters a few weeks into your semester, I wanna hear all about it." Tai said before adopting a thinking face, before turning back to the food. "But first foods almost ready. Go wake your lazy brother up for me would you. Kid gets one day off and spends it sleeping in. Mr. Lazy bones"
Ruby and Yang looked at each other awkwardly.
Brother?
What was dad talking ab….oh right.
Like a piece of film was placed into their brains, Ruby and Yang remembered that they had a brother a few years older than them.
"I..I'll go get him." Ruby said strangely as she sprung up and walked up the stairs. Tai yang looked at Yang with a worried expression. 'You two okay?"
Then like something snapped into place, Yang no longer had a confused look on her face, but her normal smiling one. "Yeah we're all good. Why?"
"Nothing I guess."

Ruby made her way up the stairs and to the room she and Yang shared, her brother wasn't there. Then to her dad's room. No one was there. The guest room? Nothing. Ruby looked even more confused. There were no more rooms.
Then where was he?
She felt a small breeze and looked down the hallway again. This time where it normally ended in the bathroom, it instead went longer and ended with a door that had a sign that read: "Do Not ENTER! That means you Yang." on it.
'Oh that's right it's down here. Silly me how could I forget?' Ruby thought as she headed to his room. Her brother was very cool, where Yang shared some of her hobbies, like video games and weapons. Her shared almost all of them, comics, video games, weapons, he always shared his stuff with her. Yeah he was awesome. She missed him a lot while she was at Beacon.
Ehh….What was his name again?
She knew this man her entire life, how could she forget?
No she didn't forget, she's just scatterbrained today that's all.
Her hand touched the door knob and twisted it.
Of course she remembered his name.
The door opened revealing a messy room with clothes all over the floor, shelves with figures and video games on them and at the center of it all was a lone figure snoring away on the bed.
That's right his name was.
"Junior! Get up! Dad has breakfast waiting!" Ruby said shaking her older brother. No longer confused. He had always been here with them. Her whole life.
Grim Jr. Her older brother.

A/N: Hey everybody! I hope you enjoyed this issue of GBT. I wasn't to worried mentioning the time loop in the teaser as it was not a secret in the story.
I love RWBY. I'm not overzealous or anything. I'm not a diehard "everything post vol 3 is trash/is perfect." The story has some flaws but I've enjoyed every volume I've watched at this point. I think VIZ needs to hurry up and give us season 10 as I really starving for more content. The DC crossover helped, but I still want more. I'm a big BlazBlue guy so imagine my Suprise to see RWBY had a crossover with them too. Not only them, but persona (another favorite of mine), and another series I've never heard of (but now have to check out.)
So reason for this being a post vol 1 story. I didn't want to turn this into another main character enrolls into beacon and joins one of the two teams or a whole new oc team. There is only one OC in this story and you've already met him. He's an oc because he's never appeared in GT. However I'm using a character that COULD appear in the story.
So Junior will be involved in Beacon shenanigans, but his focus will be on things happening outside the school as well. If he's at beacon...well he's probably not supposed to be. As for my reason for depowering Junior. Well there's a reason for that, but not like a big twist as to why he's depowered and the nergaling is dormant. There's a reason, but you'll just have to read and find out.
I do hope you guys enjoyed this. I didn't get much feedback on the teaser so I hope this gets more. I actually wrote this after chapter 1 so Imagine my surprise when I actually changed something super big from what I had originally planned.
I actually wrote entire other story with this crossover called reaper, rose, beneath a broken moon. Halfway through I said: This sucks. Originally Junior was hired by the brothers to find Amber. Why? I have no clue hadn't figured that out yet. He'd meet each girl in their original trailer appearance changing them. Well aside from Ruby's. Blake would be his spy infilitrating Beacon. Why? No idea yet. So I scrapped the idea and came up with this one. After getting back into Blazblue. The idea of the timeloop appealed to me.
Okay guys ANs getting too long now. Hope you guys enjoyed. Please Fav, Follow, and Review. Do check out Aros100's GT: Complex as it's really good for a GT fix and has decent amount of chapters for you to sink your teeth into.
Really loving Heroes, Dreams, and Destiny. Another RWBY crossover fic with Fate. It's really good and a very popular story on the site.
Thinking of crossposting on AO3 what do you guys think?
