Hi there, my fellow readers. This is ChangTheRonin1824 bringing you a new story!
This time is SCP. Though it is mainly SCP, I decided to add elements of Project Moon's games: Lobotomy Corporation and Limbus Company with their lore, concepts, ideology, and other factors to make it different.
I'm a long-time reader of the SCP Wiki site, and I've read some stories of it as well. So, I've decided to write a new SCP story, and though I wrote one before, that was awful.
I will be doing mainly SCP stories of course, but in the meantime, I'll also include some other settings from Project Moon Studio's games and concepts like fixers, offices & workshops, abnormalities (which I'll change to just Entities), and many more.
Plus, this is inspired by PuzzleMaster1998, so huge credits to him.
Disclaimer: SCP and all of its content are owned by the SCP Foundation Wiki Site. Lobotomy Corporation, Library of Ruina & Limbus Company are owned by Project Moon. I own nothing at all except all of my OCs.
The Arrival, First SCP, and the Another World
The First thing he was aware of when he came to was the hard mattress underneath him, and he was feeling young again like he returned from his old hermit self. He rubbed his head and sat up, felt some unknown dizziness, and blinked his eyes before he looked around and looked around his surroundings. He was in a small room that had no windows, and only one cell door, along with a desk and chair. Fluorescent lights light the room, also awakening his mind.
"This place looks, and feels, familiar…" With a sensation of Deja Vū, Chang said to himself out loud while being cautious of his new place. He touched himself in the face, it was not his old hermit self, but rather the younger rebellious age. "Still, I felt good when returned to my youth, which could be a good thing… I guess."
From the corner of his eyes, he sharply noticed something white at the foot of his bed. Turning towards it, he saw it was a piece of paper. He also noticed that he was now wearing an orange jumpsuit on his healthy, well-built balanced physique muscular body, with "D-25811" boldly stamped on his left chest. 'This orange jumpsuit looks somehow familiar, but the question is, where are my items and clothes?'
He tried to use some of his ancient techniques like Qi Sensing and talking with his Soul Forms in his mind. However, they were not working at all. '?! I can't feel them!' He quickly had a theory that his abilities were either locked up or sealed, limiting his full potential to prevent him. 'If this is true, then I would need to search for clues to unlock the seals.'
With some thoughts and theories in mind, he picked up the piece of paper and read it.
"Welcome to the SCP Foundation, D-25811. Memorize this designation, for it will be your only alias if you happen to cross paths with the other personnel. The top-secret underground facility you're currently stationed in was built to contain paranormal creatures and artifacts codenamed SCPs for our research staff to analyze. You and your Class-D personnel have been recruited to serve as test subjects for said staff. We apologize if this comes off as oppressive, but we need your utmost cooperation for our experiments to be fruitful. If you follow our orders to the letter, you will be let free by the end of the month."
After finishing reading, Chang was silent for a short time and realized what this was about.
But then, he turned the paper and found out there was another message, but not from the Foundation itself. Instead, it was from another unknown person:
"Hey Chang, our leader, if you are reading this message, this means we managed to track your location with our hard effort and advanced high-tech singularity. It wasn't an easy job, though, since the rifts in the dimensions were way too unstable and there were risks of being stranded somewhere away from reality... And you know the consequences of it, right? Anyway, please be patient and wait for us, we'll be able to come and save you. Just, it would be a little long."
He was confused when he read the message. It sounded familiar with dejà vu, but he couldn't remember the many details about it. Though, he did have some basic memories about some of his past.
But on the other hand, now he knew where he was, this also brought up another memory: during his youth in the past, he found the Inhuman and Supernatural Contain & Investigate, or just rather I.S.C.I. Corp for short. You could say, this is what you get if you mix up both SCP and Lobotomy Corporation into one. He used to be the founder and manager of this entire corp, but he eventually resigned from the position and passed it down to his best successor: Justin C. Atlas. Who is now, the current manager and chairman of the corporation.
Right now, he has to find ways to adapt to this organization. He read the articles on the original Wiki sites before, so he had some previous information about the entire concept. But for now, there was nothing he could do. He already inspected the entire interior of the room and the drawers of the desk, completely nothing at all.
'I could just wait and observe, so I could react to follow. And yeah, that would give me a good chance to adapt to this new environment.' He thought. 'but on the other hand, maybe I should first try to survive…'
Chang believed that rational thinking, a good mindset, and actions balanced were the keys to survival. Unfortunately, he was in an underground facility, and his chance of escape was low. So, he decided to follow along and observe at the same time.
Suddenly, the door slid open, causing him to turn and look. A man wearing a white, full-body suit, a black tactical vest, black gloves and combat boots, black balaclavas, and a black riot helmet with a yellow visor stood in the doorway, holding a gun with a green scope on it.
"D-25811, come with me." The guard ordered before he backed up from the doorway.
Chang nodded in silence and then followed the guard out of the room. Right now, following orders is the best thing to do. He entered a hallway with similar cell doors and thought out I.S.C.I's similar design containment, which was also similar in both interior and exterior design.
As they walked down the cell block, another guard came in front of him and started leading him along as well, leaving him sandwiched between the two.
Chang didn't say anything, remained silent, and observed everything around him with in-head logical thinking. They went through several doors, turned several corners, went up some flight of stairs, and went down several hallways for what seemed like hours, but actually several minutes. As they went down the hallways, he noticed several signs next to the various doors they passed.
' "SCP-085. Object Class: safe." "SCP-714. Object Class: Safe." ' These brought out some broken memories and a weird sense of déjà vu to him, but like an incomplete puzzle with some missing pieces, he couldn't remember many details about it. Still, this led him to think about some of the I.S.C.I's contained Abnormalities, or rather to say Entities:
Some of them were created by the omnipotence of Chang himself, like the Purple Stranger, Chang's Wonderful Mister Series, and so on. Some of them exist based on different meanings and knowledge, like Trauma, Fables (Fairytales), Outside, or Aberrations from the original Entities. They were all classified with a series of numbers and letters, with levels based on the danger of how many deaths they would cause if they breached containment.
And yes, I.S.C.I Corporation has some special technology and sponsors, and one of them was able to extract the core from the Entities to create E.G.O (Extermination of Geometrical Organ). Some of these based-gears were so powerful they weren't allowed to be brought outside the corporation by any means.
For a brief moment, Chang wondered in thought while they continued on their way, 'Now I think about, how's Atlas and the entire I.S.C.I's doing these days?'
Soon after, they arrived at another doorway, this one having a sign on it that read "SCP-173. Object Class: Euclid." Below that was a picture of a humanoid statue, and a warning sign that read "Sentient and violent."
Chang narrowed his eyebrows as they entered the door. The door shut behind them, and the two guards went up some stairs right next to the door.
Before one of the guards could speak, Chang already approached the giant door in front of him, where two other D-class personnel were waiting for him, one holding a mob and bucket.
"Alright." One the guard said, catching their attention. "The three of you will be cleaning SCP-173's chamber today. One of you will clean, while the other two must maintain direct eye contact with the SCP they are done cleaning and we have to relocked the doors. If you do not maintain direct eye contact, you will be killed by the SCP."
With that, the doors quickly slid open, and the three of them quickly walked in the door, and the door quickly shut behind them. Among the D-Class, Chang himself was the only one with no fear at all. The room, which had a large window on the second level behind a railing, was empty, except for a reddish brown puddle on the floor, and the SCP itself. The SCP was a concrete statue with bits of rebar sticking out, and traces of paint covered its body, while its head had red, green, and black paint on it making some sort of odd face.
'Alright, this is some kind of staring contest, right? Well, I'll play along with it.' He thought, taking this seriously.
Chang and the other man stared directly at it, while the man with the mop and the bucket ran over to the puddle, and started mopping it towards a tiny drain built into the floor.
As he stared at it with no any blinking, he started to wonder and eventually lost in thoughts: The Associations, the crime syndicates, the corps…So much more. Ever since he quit university due to his rebellious nature and anti-society personality, he was another man, not the same original Chang people used to know. "Hey, I'm going to blink." He told the man next to him, who nodded. He blinked, and then resumed staring at the statue, noticing the hostility was the same as before.
After quite some time of silent staring, he started to feel bored. 'For sake, this is such a torture. Wait, if I could…' He thought. He wanted to close his eyes and tried to meditate, but what would happen if he did so, in front of that statue?
But for what he didn't know, he was silently emitting his aura, although it was weak and invisible, the statue itself could feel it and... It had become scared and aware of the powers in Chang. However, people staring at the statue unknown about this, but only Chang felt a little bit uneasy. But for now, he could continue staring while narrowing his eyebrows.
At the same time, Chang could feel someone else invisible inside the chamber, but he couldn't turn because he had to focus on staring at the statue. Plus, he couldn't be seen with pure eyes, yet the feeling was there.
"Alright." A guard said over the intercom. "Opening the doors now. Maintain eye contact as you exit until we reseal the doors." The door quickly slid open, and all three of them slowly exited the room. As the doors rumbled shut, Chang watched the statue in the room while lost in thoughts.
Several guards went up to the two men that were with him, and took them away, presumably to their own cells.
Two guards came over to him, and one of them gestured with his gun to follow them. He obeyed, and they made their way down a few more hallways and went down a flight of stairs before they entered what appeared to be the cafeteria.
Several other men wearing similar orange jumpsuits sat at long metal tables with trays of food in front of them.
"Get some food, and then come to this door when you're done, or else." The guard in front of him told him and the other guard left him in there.
Chang took a deep breath. Then, he started making his way over to the line and soon arrived there with no trouble from the other men. He took a tray, and went down the line, receiving food as he went. He grabbed a few utensils and a cup of drink before he turned towards the tables.
He looked for an empty spot and found one at the end of a table. He headed over to it, and set his tray down before sitting down. He closed his eyes, made Añjali Mudrā hand gesture and took a slight bow, then started eating.
The foods here weren't different from the canned ones and MREs he used to eat back in harder days, still they are tasty enough. Though, not enough compared to ones he used to make for himself in the bamboo forest. However, this is the only option to eat, as if he had another choice.
Once he finished eating, he got up from the table and brought the tray over to a tray return, before making his way to the entrance of the cafeteria. The guards returned, and started leading him back through the facility.
As they walked through the facility, Chang felt energy coursing through his veins and soul in his body. He looked at his left hand, on the palm there was the marking of the Chinese kanji 常 appeared it out of nowhere. His eyes widened as he remembered that there was once a big explosion back in high school and it killed many people, and the kanji symbol also appeared in that time. He looked at the guards, who didn't seem to notice, but still, he was sweating in nervousness and concern. And when the symbol started becoming unstable with energy, he also became stressed and anxious. Still, he tried to remain calm with deep breaths and hiding it from the guards.
They soon arrived back at his cell, and ushered him inside, closing the door behind before they left.
Chang was scared when he saw his initial kanji appear on his palm, which was something closely meant to bad omen. But when he saw the symbol shined a golden light, then disappeared without a trace, his fear also away.
He breathed a huge sigh of relief and threw himself onto the bed. "That. Not. Good." He looked at his palm again, completely normal, with no sign of the kanji appearing.
Yes, his fear had vanished for now, but laying in bed, he couldn't sleep well, thinking about the symbol that appeared on his palm earlier. 'I lost control over my powers so many times and I killed too many innocents… This feeling of guilt was still on me, and I couldn't redeem myself.' Under guilt and concern, this Japanese-Chinese eventually closed his eyes and fell asleep.
However, when he entered deep sleep in the dark cell, a door appeared inside out of nowhere, and it opened which appeared to be a portal.
Stepping outside, a man, or specifically, a realistic human-looking android, stepped out of the portal and entered inside the cell. He was wearing a set of white suits with a long coat, which came with black lacework on it. His eyes were unnaturally blue with glowing light from the inside, and his hair was black with his beard covering up part of his face. He was quite average in comparison to a normal human, with his height being 1.84cm and he had a well-built body physique. On the back of his big white coat, there was a Chinese Eight Diagram and a Yinyang symbol in the center, as well as a Roman number I in the center of the Yinyang symbol.
This Android man was the current leader of the First Association "Alpha", Alpha-1. His hands were in his pockets, emotionless.
Alpha-1 watched Chang who was already asleep silently, and the darkness provided a quiet ambiance.
'I found you, sir...You slept peacefully...' Found his best friend brought a smile to his face. Then, he silently carried the chair and moved near the bed, and he sat on the chair, staying by his side and watching over him all night long.
He knew his duty very well. Even as the chairman, he knew the meaning of protecting and being a good friend.
This intro was somehow interesting to you, wasn't it?
You can complain about how dumb it is that SCP-173 would be calmed by some unseen aura, but I just wanted him to be someone with hidden powers and secret full potential.
I'll find ways to write about the next SCP, you can send your suggestions via reviews helping me which SCP I'll write in the next chapter. In the meantime, I would also introduce some of my OC's friends, comrades, and other familiars (including Abnormalities/Entities) as the story progresses. Still, this story would include many original SCP such as SCP-682, SCP-953, SCP-1471-A, SCP-860, and many more.
Sorry for this chapter being short, for this is merely an introduction.
ChangTheRonin1824 out for now.
